Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus which improves the efficiency of AEC photographing and the picture quality of images which are collected by AEC photographing, and to provide a controlling method for the X-ray diagnostic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A camera 31 for front surface is fitted on an X-ray tube 11, an X-ray detector 13 or a supporting mechanism. The camera 31 for front surfaces forms the data of front surface camera images regarding the front surface of a subject. A contour extracting section 41 extracts the contour of the subject from the front surface camera images. An exposure timer controlling section 45 decides whether the time integral value of a signal corresponding to the inside of the contour from among signals from the X-ray detector 13 has reached a pre-set threshold value or not. The X-ray controlling section 53 makes the X-ray tube 11 generate X ray when the determination is made that the time integral value has not reached the threshold value, and makes the X-ray tube 11 stop the generation of the X ray when the determination is made that the time integral value has reached the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

Description

本発明は、AEC(automatic exposure control)撮影を行うX線診断装置及びX線診断装置の制御方法に関する。   The present invention relates to an X-ray diagnostic apparatus that performs AEC (automatic exposure control) imaging and a method for controlling the X-ray diagnostic apparatus.

X線診断装置による撮影方法の1つにAEC(automatic exposure control)撮影がある(例えば、特許文献1及び2参照)。 One imaging method using an X-ray diagnostic apparatus is AEC (automatic exposure control) imaging (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). AEC imaging is an imaging method that stops the generation of X-rays when the intensity of an output signal (X-ray intensity signal) from an X-ray detector that detects X-rays transmitted through a subject reaches a certain value. AEC photography is aimed at collecting images having optimum image quality. However, a portion where X-rays reach the X-ray detection surface directly without passing through the subject, such as a gap between legs, has a higher X-ray intensity than a portion that passes through the subject. The intensity of the output signal from the entire detector will reach a constant value faster. For this reason, when imaging an imaging region including a portion where X-rays do not pass through the subject and reach the X-ray detection surface directly, the generation of X-rays is automatically stopped before an image of optimum image quality is obtained. May end up. If X-ray generation is stopped unexpectedly, AEC imaging may have to be performed again. The burden on the subject and the operator due to repeated AEC imaging is large. In addition, it is desired to stabilize the image quality of images related to AEC photography.

Hereinafter, an X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a functional block diagram of the X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to the present embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 has an imaging mechanism 3 and a computer apparatus 5.

FIG. 2 is an external view of the photographing mechanism 3. As shown in FIG. 2, the imaging mechanism 3 has a C arm 15 on which an X-ray tube 11 and an X-ray detector 13 are mounted. The X-ray tube 11 generates X-rays in response to application of a high voltage and supply of a filament current from the high voltage generator 17. The high voltage generation unit 17 applies a high voltage to the X-ray tube 11 according to control by the X-ray control unit 53 in the computer apparatus 5 and supplies a filament current.

The X-ray detector 13 detects X-rays generated from the X-ray tube 11 and transmitted through the subject P. The X-ray detector 13 generates an X-ray intensity signal corresponding to the detected X-ray intensity. The generated X-ray intensity signal is supplied to an exposure timer control unit 45 in the computer device 5. Further, various X-ray image data constituted by the X-ray intensity signal is supplied to the image storage unit 39 in the computer apparatus 5. In this embodiment, as X-ray image data, for example, mask image data and contrast image data are generated by the X-ray detector 13. The mask image is an X-ray image generated before the contrast medium is injected. The contrast image is an X-ray image generated after the contrast agent is injected, and includes a contrasted blood vessel region related to the contrasted blood vessel. The X-ray detector 13 is composed of a flat panel detector (FPD) having a plurality of semiconductor detection elements arranged in a matrix. The axis connecting the focal point of the X-ray tube 11 and the center of the X-ray detection surface of the X-ray detector 13 is called an imaging axis.

The bed 19 supports a top plate 21 on which the subject (patient) P is mounted so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction and the vertical direction. The top plate 21 is supported by the legs 23. The bed 19 is connected to the bed driving unit 25. The bed driving unit 25 supplies a driving signal corresponding to a control signal from the mechanism control unit 35 in the computer device 5 to the bed 19. The bed driving unit 25 is configured by a motor such as a stepping motor, for example. When the drive signal is supplied, the bed 19 moves the top plate 21 according to the drive signal. Here, the longitudinal direction of the top plate 21 is defined as the Z-axis direction, the lateral direction of the top plate 21 is defined as the Y-axis direction, and the vertical direction of the top plate 21 is defined as the X-axis direction. This XYZ coordinate system forms an orthogonal coordinate system.

The C arm 15 is supported by the C arm holder 27 so as to be rotatable and movable. Specifically, the C arm holder 27 supports the C arm 15 so as to be rotatable in the arrow A1 direction about the Y axis so that the imaging angle with respect to the subject P can be freely changed. The C arm holder 27 supports the C arm 15 so as to be movable in the arrow A2 direction along the C shape of the C arm 15. That is, the C arm 15 and the C arm holder 27 function as a support mechanism for the X-ray tube 11 and the X-ray detector 13.

The C arm holder 27 is connected to the support mechanism drive unit 29. The support mechanism drive unit 29 supplies a drive signal corresponding to the control signal from the mechanism control unit 35 to the C arm holder 27. The support mechanism drive unit 29 is configured by a motor such as a stepping motor, for example. When the drive signal is supplied, the C arm holder 27 rotates or moves the C arm 15.

前面用カメラ31は、CCD(charge coupled device)カメラ、CMOS(complementary metal oxide semiconductor device)、又は赤外線カメラが適当である。 As shown in FIG. 2, a front camera 31 is attached to the X-ray detector 13. The front camera 31 is a camera for photographing the subject P from the front. The front camera 31 is attached to the X-ray detector 13 so that the lens faces the surface of the top plate 21 during camera photography. Typically, the front camera 31 is disposed on the side surface of the X-ray detector 13. The front camera 31 is suitably a CCD (charge coupled device) camera, a CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor device), or an infrared camera. The front camera 31 photographs the subject P from the front according to the control by the camera control unit 37 in the computer apparatus 5. The front camera 31 generates camera image data relating to the front surface of the subject P (hereinafter referred to as a front camera image) by camera shooting. The front camera image includes a subject region corresponding to the subject P viewed from the front. The front camera image data is supplied to the image storage unit 39. Note that the mounting location of the front camera 31 is not limited to the X-ray detector 13 alone. The front camera 31 can be attached to any position of the X-ray detector 13, the X-ray tube 11, or the C arm 15 so as not to be positioned in front of the X-ray detector 13 during X-ray imaging.

As shown in FIG. 2, a side camera 33 is attached to the C arm 15. The side camera 33 is a camera for photographing the subject P from the side. The side camera 33 is attached to the C arm 15 so that the lens faces the side surface of the top plate 21 during camera photography. Typically, the side camera 33 is disposed on a part of the C arm 15 that intersects the rotation axis (Y axis). The side camera 33 is suitably a CCD camera, CMOS, or infrared camera. The side camera 33 images the subject P from the side according to the control by the camera control unit 37. The side camera 33 generates camera image data relating to the side surface of the subject P (hereinafter, referred to as a side camera image) by camera shooting. The side camera image includes a subject region corresponding to the subject P viewed from the side. The data of the side camera image is supplied to the image storage unit 39. Note that the attachment location of the side camera 33 is not limited to the C arm 15 alone. The side camera 33 can be mounted at any position of the X-ray detector 13, the X-ray tube 11, or the C-arm 15 so as not to be positioned in front of the X-ray detector 13 during X-ray imaging. .

The computer apparatus 5 includes a mechanism control unit 35, a camera control unit 37, an image storage unit 39, an outline extraction unit 41, an AEC ROI setting unit 43, an exposure timer control unit 45, a body thickness calculation unit 47, and an X-ray condition table storage unit. 49, an X-ray condition setting unit 51, an X-ray control unit 53, a subtraction processing unit 55, a display unit 57, an operation unit 59, and a system control unit 61.

The mechanism control unit 35 controls the bed driving unit 25 and the support mechanism driving unit 29 under an instruction from the user via the operation unit 59 or under the control of the system control unit 61. More specifically, the mechanism control unit 35 controls the bed driving unit 25 to move the top plate 21 to each stage position related to the stepping DSA imaging. The stage position is defined, for example, at the center position in the longitudinal direction (Z-axis direction) of the top plate 21 in each stage. The mechanism control unit 35 controls the C arm holder 27 in order to place the C arm 15 at a predetermined shooting angle. The shooting angle is defined by, for example, the angle of the shooting axis with respect to each of the X axis, the Y axis, and the Z axis.

The camera control unit 37 causes the front camera 31 to image the subject P at a predetermined timing. Thus, the front camera generates front camera image data. In addition, the camera control unit 37 causes the side camera 33 to image the subject P at a predetermined timing. Accordingly, the side camera 33 generates side camera image data. The predetermined timing is, for example, a timing when a user receives a shooting instruction via the operation unit 59 (a timing when an operation signal corresponding to the shooting instruction is received). Note that the front camera image and the side camera image may be a still image or a moving image. Hereinafter, for simplicity of explanation, it is assumed that the front camera image and the side camera image are still images.

The image storage unit 39 stores front camera image data supplied from the front camera 31 and side camera image data supplied from the side camera 33. The front camera image data and the side camera image data are stored in association with the stage number. The image storage unit 39 also stores mask image data and contrast image data supplied from the X-ray detector 13. The mask image data and the contrast image data are stored in association with the stage number. The image storage unit 39 stores DSA image data generated by a subtraction processing unit 55 described later in association with the stage number.

The contour extraction unit 41 performs image processing on the front camera image and extracts the contour of the subject region from the front camera image. The contour data regarding the front surface is supplied to the AEC ROI setting unit 43. In addition, the contour extraction unit 41 performs image processing on the side camera image and extracts the contour of the subject region from the side camera image. The contour data regarding the side surface is supplied to the body thickness calculator 47.

The AEC ROI setting unit 43 sets an AEC ROI based on the contour of the front surface. The ROI for AEC is an ROI set to limit the X-ray intensity signal used for AEC to an X-ray intensity signal derived from X-rays transmitted through the contour of the subject. Hereinafter, the AEC ROI is simply referred to as ROI. Data regarding the set ROI is supplied to the exposure timer control unit 45.

The exposure timer control unit 45 supplies an X-ray generation instruction or a stop instruction to the X-ray control unit 53 in order to perform AEC imaging. Specifically, the exposure timer control unit 45 time-integrates the X-ray intensity signal from the X-ray detector 13 and calculates an integral value. When the integral value is calculated, the exposure timer control unit 45 determines whether or not the integral value has reached a preset threshold value. The threshold value is set in advance. The X-ray intensity signal to be integrated is limited to an X-ray intensity signal generated in the ROI among all X-ray intensity signals generated by the X-ray detector 13. When it is determined that the integrated value has not reached the threshold value, the exposure timer control unit 45 supplies a generation signal to the X-ray control unit 53 in order to cause the X-ray tube 11 to generate X-rays. On the other hand, when it is determined that the integrated value has reached the threshold value, the exposure timer control unit 45 supplies a stop signal to the X-ray control unit 53 in order to stop the X-ray tube 11 from generating X-rays. Thus, the exposure timer control unit 45 functions as a determination unit that determines whether X-rays are generated or stopped.

The body thickness calculation unit 47 calculates the body thickness of the subject P based on the contour regarding the side surface. Data regarding the calculated body thickness is supplied to the X-ray condition setting unit 51.

The X-ray condition table storage unit 49 stores an imaging X-ray condition table (hereinafter referred to as an X-ray condition table) in which body thickness and X-ray conditions are associated with each other. The X-ray condition is, for example, a combination of tube voltage [kV], tube current [mA], longest duration [ms], focus size, and the like. The longest duration is the longest duration of X-ray generation. When the maximum duration is exceeded, the generation of X-rays is forcibly stopped regardless of the determination result by the exposure timer control unit 45.

The X-ray condition setting unit 51 sets X-ray conditions based on the body thickness data supplied from the body thickness calculation unit 47. Specifically, the X-ray condition setting unit 51 reads from the X-ray condition table storage unit 49 the X-ray condition associated with the supplied body thickness on the X-ray condition table. The X-ray condition setting unit 51 sets the read X-ray condition as the X-ray condition for X-ray imaging. Data regarding the set X-ray conditions is supplied to the X-ray control unit 53.

The X-ray control unit 53 controls the high voltage generation unit 17 according to the X-ray condition supplied from the X-ray condition setting unit 51. During X-ray generation, the X-ray control unit 53 repeatedly receives a generation signal or a stop signal supplied from the exposure timer control unit 45. When the generation signal is supplied from the exposure timer control unit 45, that is, when it is determined that the integrated value of the X-ray intensity signal has not reached the threshold value, the X-ray control unit 53 supplies a high voltage to the high voltage generation unit 17. And supply of filament current. Thereby, generation of X-rays from the X-ray tube 11 is continued. On the other hand, when the stop signal is supplied from the exposure timer control unit 45, that is, when it is determined that the integrated value of the X-ray intensity signal has reached the threshold value, the X-ray control unit 53 stops the generation of X-rays. Then, the high voltage generator 17 stops the application of the high voltage. As a result, the generation of X-rays from the X-ray tube 11 is stopped.

The subtraction processing unit 55 performs subtraction processing on the mask image data and the contrast image data regarding the same stage to generate DSA image data.

The display unit 57 displays a mask image, a contrast image, a DSA image, an X-ray condition, and the like. As the display unit 57, a CRT display, a liquid crystal display, an organic EL display, a plasma display, or the like can be used as appropriate.

The operation unit 59 receives various instructions for operating the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1. For example, the operation unit includes a shooting start / end switch and the like. Further, the operation unit 59 includes, for example, a camera shooting switch. An operation signal corresponding to the camera photographing switch is supplied to the camera control unit 37. The operation unit 59 is provided with a rotation switch for rotating the C arm 15 in the A1 direction and a movement switch for moving the C arm 15 in the A2 direction. Operation signals related to the rotation switch and the movement switch are supplied to the mechanism control unit 35. In addition, the operation unit 59 has a top plate movement switch. An operation signal related to the top plate movement switch is supplied to the mechanism control unit 35.

The system control unit 61 functions as the center of the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1. Specifically, the system control unit 61 controls each unit to perform AEC imaging using a camera. The system control unit 61 controls each unit in order to set X-ray conditions using a camera.

With the above configuration, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 sets the ROI for AEC imaging using the front camera 31. Then, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 performs AEC imaging using only the X-ray intensity signal corresponding to the set ROI. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 sets X-ray conditions using the side camera 33.

Hereinafter, the operation of the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment will be described by taking stepping DSA imaging using AEC imaging as an example.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a typical flow of stepping DSA imaging using AEC imaging performed under the control of the system control unit 61.

[Step S1]
In step S <b> 1, the system control unit 61 photographs each stage from the first stage to the Nth (N ≧ 2) stage with the front camera 31 and the side camera 33. For example, the first stage position is the abdomen and the Nth stage position is the toe. The camera photographing in step S1 is performed to determine the ROI range and to determine the X-ray conditions. Specifically, the system control unit 61 controls the mechanism control unit 35 to slide the top plate 21 from the position of the first stage to the position of the Nth stage. The mechanism control unit 35 may slide the top plate 21 stepwise (step slide) or may slide it continuously. The system control unit 61 controls the camera control unit 37 while the top plate 21 is sliding, and photographs each stage with the front camera 31 and the side camera 33. Front camera image data is generated by the front camera 31, and side camera image data is generated by the side camera 33. The front camera image data and the side camera image data are stored in the image storage unit 39 in association with the stage number.

[Step S2]
When step S1 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the contour extraction unit 41 to perform a first contour extraction process. In step S <b> 2, the contour extraction unit 41 reads the data of the front camera image associated with the processing target stage number from the image storage unit 39. The contour extraction unit 41 performs contour extraction processing on the read front camera image. The contour extraction process is performed on the front camera images for all the stage numbers.

FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of the front camera image I1 generated by the front camera 31. As illustrated in FIG. As shown in FIG. 4, the front camera image I1 is an image taken from the front side of the subject P, and both feet of the subject P are depicted. The horizontal axis of the front camera image I1 is defined as the Y axis, and the vertical axis is defined as the Z axis. The front camera image I1 includes a subject area 81 relating to the subject P. Further, the front camera image I1 includes a background region 85 derived from the top plate 21 and the like in addition to the subject region 81. The contour extracting unit 41 extracts, for example, the subject region 81 from the camera image I1 in distinction from the background region 85, and further extracts the contour 83 from the extracted subject region 81. The extraction method of the subject region 81 and the contour 83 is not particularly limited, and any existing method can be applied. The extracted data of the contour 83 is supplied to the AEC ROI setting unit 43 in association with the stage number.

[Step S3]
When step S2 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the AEC ROI setting unit 43 to perform ROI setting processing. In step S3, the AEC ROI setting unit 43 sets the AEC ROI based on the contour data extracted in step S2.

FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of an AEC ROI in stepping DSA imaging. As shown in FIG. 5, it is assumed that AEC imaging is performed from the first stage to the fourth stage. For example, the imaging region FOV1 of the first stage is a base portion of the subject P, and the imaging region FOV4 of the fourth stage is an ankle portion of the subject P. The ROI is set for each stage according to the shape of the subject P. The ROI is set to a pixel from which X-rays transmitted through the contour of the subject P are detected. For example, the ROI 1 of the first stage is set only in a range that transmits the subject P, and is not set between legs that do not transmit the subject P. The ROI does not need to be set in the entire region corresponding to the subject P. For example, the ROI may be set in a small area having a predetermined matrix size (for example, 10 × 10 mm) in the entire area corresponding to the subject P. This small region may be set on the center side of the X-ray detection surface from the viewpoint of the X-ray dose.

Specifically, the AEC ROI setting unit 43 stores a coordinate conversion formula between the coordinate system of the front camera image and the coordinate system of the X-ray detector 13. The coordinate system of the X-ray detector 13 is substantially the same as the coordinate system of the X-ray image. The AEC ROI setting unit 43 applies a coordinate conversion formula to the contour data extracted in step S2, and specifies an area on the X-ray detection surface where the X-rays transmitted through the subject P reach. The identified area is set to ROI. In this way, the AEC ROI setting unit 43 sets the ROI for each stage from the first stage to the Nth (fourth) stage. The set ROI is supplied to the exposure timer control unit 45 in association with the stage number.

[Step S4]
When step S1 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the contour extraction unit 41 to perform the second contour extraction process. In step S <b> 4, the contour extraction unit 41 reads the side camera image data associated with the stage number to be processed from the image storage unit 39. The contour extraction unit 41 performs contour extraction processing on the read side camera image. The contour extraction process is performed on the front camera images for all the stage numbers.

FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of the side camera image I2 generated by the side camera 33. As illustrated in FIG. As shown in FIG. 6, the side camera image I2 is an image taken from the side direction of the subject P. The horizontal axis of the side camera image I2 is defined as the Z axis, and the vertical axis is defined as the X axis. The side camera image I2 includes a subject region 81. In addition to the subject area 81, the side camera image I2 includes a background area 85 derived from the top board 21 and the like. For example, the contour extraction unit 41 extracts the subject region 81 from the side camera image I2 in distinction from the background region 85, and further extracts the contour 83 from the extracted subject region 81. The extraction method of the subject region 81 and the contour 83 is the same as that in step S2. The extracted data of the contour 83 is supplied to the body thickness calculator 47 in association with the stage number.

[Step S5]
When step S4 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the body thickness calculation unit 47 to perform a body thickness calculation process. In step S5, the body thickness calculation unit 47 calculates the body thickness of the subject P based on the contour data extracted in step S4. For example, the body thickness calculation unit 47 calculates a distance interval (body thickness [pixel]) along the X direction between the front-side outline and the back-side outline of the subject region. The body thickness calculator 47 calculates the actual body thickness [mm] from the body thickness [pixel] on the image based on the enlargement ratio of the side camera 33, the distance between the side camera 33 and the subject P, and the like. Is calculated. Typically, the body thickness varies depending on the Z position on the side camera image I2, as shown in FIG. For example, the body thickness calculator 47 repeatedly calculates the body thickness while changing the Z position, and the maximum, average, intermediate, or minimum value of the calculated body thickness is determined as the body thickness of the stage. The The body thickness at the minimum Z position, the body thickness at the center Z position, or the body thickness at the maximum Z position may be determined as the body thickness of the stage. In this way, the body thickness is calculated for all stages. The calculated body thickness data is supplied to the X-ray condition setting unit 51 in association with the stage number.

[Step S6]
When step S5 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the X-ray condition setting unit 51 to perform X-ray condition setting processing. The X-ray condition setting unit 51 sets the X-ray condition based on the body thickness calculated in step S5 and the X-ray condition table.

FIG. 7 is a diagram illustrating an example of the X-ray condition table. As shown in FIG. 7, the X-ray condition table is a table having body thickness as input and X-ray condition as output. X-ray conditions include tube voltage [kV], tube current [mA], longest duration [ms], and focus size. The value of the X-ray condition is determined from experimental or clinical experience. When the body thickness data from the body thickness calculation unit 47 is supplied, the X-ray condition setting unit 51 searches the X-ray condition table using the supplied body thickness as a search key. Next, the X-ray condition setting unit 51 uses X-rays such as tube voltage [kV], tube current [mA], longest duration [ms], and focus size associated with body thickness as a search key in the X-ray condition table. Identify the conditions. Then, the X-ray condition setting unit 51 sets the specified X-ray condition as the X-ray condition related to the stage to be processed. In this way, X-ray conditions are set for all stages. The set X-ray condition data is supplied to the X-ray control unit 53 in association with the stage number.

[Step S7]
When step S3 and step S6 are performed, the user presses a photographing start switch provided on the operation unit 59. When the photographing start switch is pressed, the system control unit 61 slides the top plate 21 to perform AEC photographing of each stage from the Nth stage to the first stage. N mask images from the Nth stage to the first stage are generated by AEC imaging.

Hereinafter, the operation of each unit in step S7 will be described in detail. When the imaging start switch is pressed, the system control unit 61 controls the X-ray control unit 53 to generate X-rays. The X-ray control unit 53 controls the high voltage generation unit 17 according to the X-ray condition set in step S <b> 6 to generate X-rays in the X-ray tube 11.

During the generation of X-rays, an X-ray intensity signal is generated from each pixel on the X-ray detector 13. The exposure timer control unit 45 reads the X-ray intensity signal from the pixel in the ROI set in step S3. That is, an X-ray intensity signal derived from a direct line that does not pass through the subject is not read, but only an X-ray intensity signal derived from the X-ray that has passed through the subject is read out. Then, the exposure timer control unit 45 determines whether to generate X-rays or to stop generating X-rays based only on the read X-ray intensity signal. More specifically, the exposure timer control unit 45 repeatedly adds X-ray intensity signals for each pixel to calculate an integral value. The exposure timer control unit 45 compares the magnitude relationship between the integrated value and the threshold every time the X-ray intensity signal is added. When it is determined that the integrated value has not reached the threshold value, the exposure timer control unit 45 supplies a generated signal to the X-ray control unit 53. While the generation signal is supplied, the X-ray control unit 53 continues to generate X-rays in the X-ray tube 11. On the other hand, when it is determined that the integral value has reached the threshold value, the exposure timer control unit 45 supplies a stop signal to the X-ray control unit 53. In response to the supply of the stop signal, the X-ray control unit 53 controls the high voltage generation unit 17 to stop the X-ray tube 11 from generating X-rays. That is, the application of a high voltage to the X-ray tube 11 is forcibly cut off. Even when the stop signal is not supplied, when the maximum duration is exceeded, the X-ray control unit 53 similarly stops the generation of X-rays.

When the generation of X-rays is stopped, mask image data relating to the Nth stage is generated by the X-ray detector 13. When the mask image related to the Nth stage is generated, the user presses a top plate movement switch provided on the operation unit 59. When the top plate movement switch is pressed, the top plate 21 moves from the Nth stage to the (N-1) th stage. When the imaging start switch is pressed again by the user, X-rays are generated under the X-ray conditions related to the (N-1) th stage, and AEC imaging is performed with the ROI related to the (N-1) th stage. Then, a mask image related to the (N-1) th stage is generated. Similarly, AEC imaging is performed at each stage up to the first stage, and a mask image relating to each stage is generated. The mask image data is stored in the image storage unit 39 in association with the stage number.

[Step S8]
When step S7 is performed, the system control unit 61 X-rays each stage from the first stage to the Nth stage, and generates N contrast images.

Specifically, when step S7 is performed, the user injects a contrast agent into the subject P. Then, the user presses the imaging start switch according to the flow of the contrast agent. When the imaging start switch is pressed, the system control unit 61 causes the X-ray control unit 53 to generate X-rays according to the X-ray conditions related to the first stage. Then, a contrast image relating to the first stage is generated by the X-ray detector 13. When the contrast image related to the first stage is generated, the user presses the top plate movement switch according to the flow of the contrast agent. When the top plate movement switch is pressed, the top plate 21 moves from the first stage to the second stage. When the imaging start switch is pressed again by the user, X-rays are generated under imaging conditions related to the second stage, and a contrast image related to the second stage is generated. Similarly, contrast images for each stage up to the Nth stage are generated. The contrast image data is stored in the image storage unit 39 in association with the stage number.

The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment is devised to improve operability and certainty for moving the top plate. Hereinafter, this device will be described with reference to FIG. The display unit 57 displays an image I3 in which the imaging area FOV of each stage is visualized as shown in FIG. 8 during stepping imaging. The image I3 may be displayed on a monitor on which a live image is displayed in order to improve the operability of moving the top board. The user selects the next imaging area FOV2 of the stage 2 on the image I3 via the operation unit 59 when the contrast medium flows to near the end of the imaging area FOV1 of the stage 1. Examples of the selection method include clicking with a mouse. When the imaging area FOV2 is selected, the mechanism control unit 35 steps slides the top plate 21 to the stage position corresponding to the selected imaging area FOV2.

When the overlapping area RO between adjacent imaging areas is wide, it is difficult to click the imaging area FOV of the next stage. In order to eliminate this difficulty in operability, the display unit 57 displays a mark M indicating the stage number in the vicinity of the shooting area FOV of each stage, as shown in FIG. For example, a mark M1 representing stage number 1 is displayed in the vicinity of the shooting area FOV1. The mechanism control unit 35 step-slides the top plate 21 to the stage position corresponding to the stage number of the selected mark M when the mark M is selected via the operation unit 59. For example, when the mark M2 is selected, the top plate 21 is step-slid to the stage position of the second stage.

[Step S9]
When step S8 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the subtraction processing unit 55 to perform subtraction processing. In step S9, the subtraction processing unit 55 generates N DSA images based on the N contrast images and the N mask images. Specifically, the subtraction processing unit 55 reads out the contrast image data and the mask image data associated with the same stage number. Then, the subtraction processing unit 55 subtracts the mask image from the read contrast image to generate DSA image data. In this way, the subtraction processing unit 55 generates DSA image data for each stage from the first stage to the Nth stage.

[Step S10]
When step S9 is performed, the system control unit 61 causes the display unit 57 to perform display processing. In step S10, the display unit 57 displays the DSA image generated in step S9.

When step S10 is performed, the system control unit 61 ends the stepping DSA imaging using AEC imaging.

As described above, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 according to this embodiment includes the front camera 31 and the side camera 33 that do not use X-rays. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 generates a front camera image related to the front surface of the subject P using the front camera 31 and extracts the contour of the subject region from the front camera image. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 can set the ROI of the X-ray detector 13 used for AEC according to the contour of the subject. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 performs AEC imaging using only the X-ray intensity signal from the set ROI. Therefore, since the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 can perform AEC imaging without being affected by a direct line, it can collect an optimum X-ray image with stable accuracy. Further, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 uses the side camera 33 to generate a side camera image related to the side surface of the subject P, and calculates the body thickness of the subject P from the side camera image. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 sets X-ray conditions based on the calculated body thickness. Therefore, since the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 does not perform X-ray exposure in order to set the X-ray conditions, the amount of exposure of the subject P can be reduced.

Further, conventionally, before starting the stepping DSA, X-ray fluoroscopy for confirming the position of the subject P has been required. However, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 can confirm the position of the subject P using the front camera image and the side camera image. Therefore, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 can reduce the exposure dose of the subject as compared with the conventional case.

Thus, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 and a method for controlling the X-ray diagnostic apparatus 1 that improve the efficiency of AEC imaging and the image quality of images collected by AEC imaging.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment as it is, and can be embodied by modifying the constituent elements without departing from the scope of the invention in the implementation stage.

(Modification 1)
The exposure timer control unit 45 reads only the X-ray intensity signal in the AEC ROI on the X-ray detector 13. However, this embodiment is not limited to this. For example, the exposure timer control unit 45 may read the X-ray intensity signal from the entire area on the X-ray detector 13. The exposure timer control unit 45 reads out the X-ray intensity data in the front outline extracted by the outline extraction unit 41 from the X-ray intensity data of the entire X-ray image, and the read X-ray intensity data is It is determined whether or not a threshold has been reached. The exposure timer control unit 45 supplies the generated signal to the X-ray control unit 53 when the X-ray intensity data has not reached the threshold value, and controls the stop signal with the X-ray control when the X-ray intensity data has reached the threshold value. To the unit 53.

(Modification 2)
The X-ray detector 13 may be composed of a combination of an image intensifier and an optical system instead of the FPD. In this case, the X-ray detector 13 includes a first X-ray detector for generating an X-ray image and a second X-ray detector for AEC. The second X-ray detector is installed in front of the first X-ray detector. The second X-ray detector has an AEC light field, a light receiver, and a photomultiplier tube. The AEC lighting field is an ROI for AEC. The light receiver converts X-rays transmitted through the AEC lighting field into light. The photomultiplier tube amplifies the light from the light receiver and generates an X-ray intensity signal corresponding to the amplified light.

In addition, various inventions can be formed by appropriately combining a plurality of components disclosed in the embodiment. For example, some components may be deleted from all the components shown in the embodiment. Furthermore, constituent elements over different embodiments may be appropriately combined.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus and an X-ray diagnostic apparatus control method that improve the efficiency of AEC imaging and the image quality of images collected by AEC imaging.
