Abstract
Description
本発明は、MRAM(Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory:磁気抵抗メモリ)により記憶媒体が構成されたカメラシステムの改良に関するものである。 The present invention relates to an improvement in a camera system in which a storage medium is configured by an MRAM (Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory).
In a general interchangeable lens type single-lens reflex camera system, the camera body and the interchangeable lens each have a built-in MPU (microprocessing unit) and communicate with each other to function as a whole. Specifically, each MPU controls motors, various sensors, operation switches, etc., and transmits these information to each other, so that the camera body mirror control and shooting operation, interchangeable lens distance ring drive and narrowing control Etc.
The MPU operates by storing a program called firmware and data necessary for the operation of the program in a memory. As this memory, volatile memory such as DRAM and SDRAM, and nonvolatile memory such as flash memory and EEPROM are widely used.
DRAM and SDRAM have a large capacity and high read / write speed, and the number of endurances for rewriting is practically infinite. However, power is required to hold programs and data, and not only during camera operation, Even if it is not operated, there is a feature that consumes the battery. On the other hand, flash memory and EEPROM are slower in writing than DRAMs and SDRAMs, and the number of endurance times of rewriting is from several hundreds to several millions. However, since it is non-volatile, it has a feature that it can prevent battery consumption as long as the power to the memory is cut off.
Therefore, in a general camera system, taking advantage of the features of these memories, the program is stored in the flash memory, and the data during the camera operation is stored in the DRAM or SDRAM. When stopping the camera, data that needs to be stored in the DRAM or SDRAM is saved in the EEPROM, and when it is operated again, the data is restored to the DRAM or SDRAM to prevent battery consumption. .
On the other hand, the MRAM is a memory using the same magnetic material as a hard disk as a storage element. Like the DRAM and SDRAM, the MRAM has a practically infinite number of times of rewriting and compared with the DRAM and SDRAM. Power saving. Accordingly, an embedded device that is assumed to operate with a battery such as a camera system can operate for a longer time. In addition, the MRAM has a feature of being non-volatile like the flash memory and the EEPROM.
Therefore, if the camera system is configured by this MRAM, the operation of saving / returning data to the EEPROM at the time of camera stop / operation becomes unnecessary, and the camera system can be started at high speed. As an embedded device that takes advantage of such MRAM features,
Although it is an MRAM having such excellent features, since it is magnetic storage, it has a drawback that the memory contents are destroyed by strong magnetism from the outside. However, the above-mentioned
However, in the camera system, in order to overcome the above-described drawbacks, there is a problem in that the product cost increases if the entire device is magnetically shielded in the same manner as the in-vehicle control device. Further, if the entire device is magnetically shielded, there is a problem that the camera system becomes large. For this reason, if a camera system that uses MRAM to suppress an increase in product cost and an increase in size is configured, there is a risk that the program of the magnetic memory will be destroyed. It was difficult to construct a camera system.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a camera system using an MRAM that suppresses an increase in product cost and an increase in size.
The camera system of the present invention includes a system control means for controlling the overall operation of the camera system in accordance with a program stored in an MRAM storage unit configured by an MRAM (Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory), and a program stored in the MRAM storage unit A backup storage unit for storing the program, a backup control unit for saving the program stored in the MRAM storage unit to the backup storage unit, and returning the program stored in the backup storage unit to the MRAM storage unit, A magnetic detection means for detecting magnetism applied to the MRAM storage section; and a magnetic breakdown possibility determination means for determining whether the MRAM storage section may be magnetically damaged based on an output of the magnetic detection means. The system control means uses the magnetic breakdown possibility determination means. Thus, while it is determined that there is a possibility that the MRAM storage unit may be magnetically destroyed, the program is saved to the backup storage unit, and the MRAM storage unit is magnetically destroyed by the magnetic destruction possibility determination unit. When it is determined that there is no possibility of being executed, the program saved in the backup storage unit is returned to the MRAM storage unit.
According to the present invention, even if the program of the magnetic memory is destroyed by the strong magnetism from the outside, it can operate normally again as long as the magnetism is eliminated. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a camera system using an MRAM that suppresses an increase in product cost and an increase in size. By using the MRAM, it is possible to operate with a battery for a long time. Also, even if the camera system is exposed to strong magnetism during startup and the MRAM program is destroyed, it is possible to provide a camera system that operates normally again as long as the magnetism is eliminated.
(About magnetic shield)
In a device such as a hard disk of a PC (personal computer) where data may be destroyed, a method of taking a backup is generally used in preparation for the device. However, the backup in the PC is mainly intended to easily reinstall a program already installed by the user or to copy a data created by the user. Even in the PC, there is firmware for starting up an OS (operating system) and controlling various hardware, but the firmware is not designed to be backed up. This is because a failure due to the destruction of the firmware program is very rare.
However, when the MRAM is applied to an embedded device using the MRAM, particularly a camera system, it is necessary to deal with the destruction of the firmware. Generally, the risk of receiving strong magnetism that destroys the contents of the MRAM is considered low. For example, it is extremely unlikely that the camera will be exposed in the vicinity of a power plant turbine, in the immediate vicinity of a speaker voice coil, or in a container carried by a magnetic crane.
However, it is a way of one product to magnetically shield the entire device so that it can be photographed even under such extremely rare conditions. However, an increase in product cost and an increase in the size of the entire device are commensurate with the user. It should be left to the user's choice. In fact, a robust camera system that can withstand a severe shooting environment such as a construction site has been put into practical use even if the product cost increases or the size of the entire device increases.
On the other hand, for example, it is widely known that a general analog timepiece hand stops due to strong magnetism. Although it is possible to have a configuration that does not stop this, there are disadvantages in that the product cost increases and the entire device becomes large. Such inconvenience can also occur when the camera system is configured so as not to stop even with strong magnetism. What is important in this example is that an analog timepiece that has been stopped by strong magnetism will also operate normally if the influence of magnetism is eliminated.
In other words, even if the camera system is exposed to strong magnetism during start-up and the camera system does not operate under that condition, as long as the condition is resolved, it is possible to configure a camera system that operates normally again. It is beneficial for more general users. An embodiment of a camera system to which such a technical idea is applied will be described below.

(Correspondence between Invention and Embodiment)
An example of the relationship between the functional configuration capable of realizing the camera system of the present invention and each part of the embodiment will be described with reference to the block diagram of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the
In the camera system of the present embodiment configured as described above, processing that is performed when the camera system detects strong magnetism during startup will be described with reference to the flowcharts of FIGS.
When the process is started, in step S201, magnetic detection is performed by the output of the
Specifically, when the MRAM storage unit 6b disposed in the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S202 that the output of the
On the other hand, the
Specifically, the
In step S209, the
When it is received in step S210 that there is no possibility of magnetic breakdown from the lens MPU1, the firmware saved in step S209 is written in the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S207 that communication indicating whether there is a possibility of magnetic breakdown is not received from the lens MPU, the process proceeds to step S213, and normal evacuation MPU processing is executed. Specifically, the communication between the lens MPU1 and the camera MPU6 is relayed, and thereafter, the processing of step S207 and step S213 is repeated.
According to the above-described configuration, by using the MRAM storage unit 6b, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of the battery, and thus it is possible to operate for a long time. In addition, the possibility of magnetic breakdown is determined, and the firmware is saved before the magnetic breakdown. As a result, even if the program stored in the MRAM storage unit 6b is destroyed under the condition of strong magnetism, it is possible to construct a camera system that operates normally again as long as the condition is eliminated. .
(Modification)
In the embodiment described above, the retract
In the present embodiment, the

前記システム制御工程は、前記磁気破壊可能性判定工程によって、前記MRAM記憶部が磁気破壊される可能性があると判定されている間は、前記バックアップ記憶部へプログラムを退避させ、前記磁気破壊可能性判定工程によって、前記MRAM記憶部が磁気破壊される可能性がないと判定された場合には、前記バックアップ記憶部へ退避させたプログラムを前記MRAM記憶部へ復帰させることを特徴とするカメラシステムの制御方法。 A system control process for controlling the overall operation of the camera system in accordance with a program stored in an MRAM storage unit configured by an MRAM (Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory);
A backup control step of saving the program stored in the MRAM storage unit to the backup storage unit and returning the program saved in the backup storage unit to the MRAM storage unit;
A magnetic detection step of detecting magnetism applied to the MRAM storage unit;
A magnetic breakdown possibility determination step for determining whether the MRAM storage unit may be magnetically damaged based on an output of the magnetic detection step;
While the system control step determines that the MRAM storage unit may be magnetically destroyed by the magnetic breakdown possibility determination step, the system control step can save the program to the backup storage unit and perform the magnetic breakdown. When it is determined in the sex determination step that the MRAM storage unit is not likely to be magnetically destroyed, the program saved in the backup storage unit is returned to the MRAM storage unit. Control method.
