Description

The present invention relates to a sheet having a fine metal wire having a concavo-convex shape on the surface and a method for producing the same, and more specifically, a large metal thin wire sheet is used as a transparent conductive sheet or a large area wire grid polarizer. The present invention relates to a metal fine wire sheet having an uneven shape to be used and a method for producing the same.

A wire grid polarizing plate is known as a structure in which fine metal wires are arranged in parallel. The wire grid polarizer transmits light that vibrates perpendicularly to the metal thin wire and reflects light that vibrates parallel to the metal thin wire. For this reason, the polarizing plate can obtain linearly polarized light with high efficiency without receiving loss due to absorption by re-entering the reflected light after rotating the polarized light.
The wire grid polarizing plate exhibits polarization characteristics when the period of the fine metal wires is sufficiently shorter than the wavelength of light used, and has been used for a long time for light having a long wavelength.
On the other hand, as a wire grid polarizing plate used for visible light, there is a method of making a wire grid polarizing plate by obliquely depositing aluminum or gold on a liquid crystal molecular alignment oblique deposition film (silicon dioxide) on an LCD substrate electrode. is there.
However, it was difficult to obtain a large sheet-like one because it was made on an LCD substrate. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).

Since it is necessary to make the period of the fine metal wires sufficiently small for use in visible light, it has been difficult with conventional photolithography technology, but the latest photolithography has been used due to recent advances in nanotechnology microfabrication technology. It has been proposed to use a conventional wire grid polarizer in the visible light region. In this method, it was difficult to increase the area (for example, see Patent Document 2).

In addition, a method for obtaining a fine metal wire by stretching a metal film has been proposed.
In this prior art, after a metal film having a predetermined thickness is formed on a substrate made of a flexible material, a thin metal wire is obtained by stretching the substrate. A metal film is formed on a transparent and flexible dielectric substrate, and the substrate and the metal film are stretched below the melting point of the metal film, thereby forming a structure comprising a metal part having an anisotropic shape and a dielectric part. Have. It is described that the length of the structure in the short direction is shorter than the wavelength of light, and the length in the long direction is longer than the wavelength of light (for example, see Patent Document 3). However, there has been a problem of metal breakage in the stretching process and a problem that the fine metal wires are peeled off from the substrate due to stretching stress.
Further, as a transparent conductive sheet, there is an ITO sheet obtained by depositing ITO on the sheet. However, since the amount of ITO used today has increased and the constituent elements of ITO have increased in rarity, it is necessary to manufacture a transparent conductive sheet using elements that are not rare.

It is sectional drawing which shows the lamination sheet in one Embodiment of the manufacturing method of the fine uneven | corrugated sheet of this invention. It is an expansion perspective view which expands and shows a part of one embodiment of the fine unevenness sheet of the present invention. It is sectional drawing when the fine uneven | corrugated sheet | seat of FIG. 2 is cut | disconnected in the direction (MD direction) orthogonal to the direction (CD direction) of a fine uneven | corrugated shape.

As shown in FIG. 1, the fine concavo-convex sheet of the present invention is a laminated sheet 10a in which at least one smooth hard layer 12a is provided on one side or both sides of the heat shrinkable film 11 (in FIG. 1, the hard layer is provided on one side). However, it may be double-sided) by heating and shrinking in at least one direction. A sheet having a fine unevenness characteristically obtained on the sheet surface by this production method is the fine unevenness sheet of the present invention. By heating and shrinking, the hard layer of the laminated sheet is meandered and deformed, and the fine concavo-convex shape 10 having the concavo-convex pattern as shown in FIG. 2 formed on the surface of the heat-shrinkable film 11 is obtained. When it is desired to provide a fine uneven shape on one side of the fine uneven sheet, a hard layer is provided on one side of the heat-shrinkable film, and when a fine uneven shape is provided on both sides, a hard layer is provided on both sides of the heat-shrinkable film. When providing fine uneven | corrugated shape on both surfaces, the magnitude | size of the fine unevenness | corrugation of each surface may differ. Here, the smooth hard layer 12a of the laminated sheet 10a before heat shrinkage preferably has a center line average roughness of 0.1 μm or less as described in JIS B0601. “Meandering deformation” refers to a deformation that forms a wavy uneven pattern as shown in FIG. In order to obtain a good fine uneven sheet, in the present invention, it is necessary to prevent the hard layer from being cracked during meandering deformation.

The direction of the fine concavo-convex shape of the present invention is mainly the CD direction. The fine concavo-convex sheet in the present invention has a direction in which ridges (peaks 13a) having a fine concavo-convex shape are continuous in one direction as shown in FIG. The valley (the valley bottom 13b) also has a direction that is continuous in one direction. In the present invention, the direction in which the peaks and valleys are connected is referred to as the direction of fine unevenness. There are variations in the direction of the fine uneven shape, and the direction of the fine uneven shape in the present invention may be mainly the CD direction.
Here, the degree of variation in the direction of the fine concavo-convex shape can also be grasped by the orientation degree of the fine concavo-convex shape shown below.
On the other hand, if the degree of orientation of the fine uneven shape is too large, the directionality of the fine uneven shape is lowered, and as a result, a fine fine uneven metal fine wire sheet cannot be produced. For this reason, it is preferable that the orientation degree of the fine unevenness | corrugation shape in this invention is 1.0 or less, More preferably, it is 0.7 or less, Especially preferably, it is less than 0.4. In addition, the definition of the orientation degree of the fine concavo-convex shape in the present invention is as follows.

A height image is observed (converted to a gray scale image) with an atomic force microscope, and the observed gray scale image is subjected to Fourier transform. This Fourier transform image includes information on the pitch and orientation of the fine concavo-convex shape. In addition, when it is not the magnitude | size of the unevenness | corrugation which can be observed with an atomic force microscope, an optical microscope image can be used.
The degree of orientation in the present invention is obtained by extracting orientation information of a Fourier transform image. Specifically, this will be described with reference to FIG. If the maximum brightness part of the Fourier transform image is not on the X F axis of the X F -Y F coordinate plane of the Fourier transform image, rotate the center of the Fourier transform image by θ and rotate the center of the Fourier transform image by θ to obtain the maximum brightness part on the X F axis. (The reason why θ rotation is necessary is that the sample direction is misaligned because the sample is set by a human hand in the atomic force microscope observation.) is there). Many Fourier transform images have two maximum luminance portions, and should have a position rotated by approximately 180 ° around the origin. Maximum luminance portion it is sufficient to match the X F-axis arbitrarily select either 1-way. FIG. 3 is a Fourier transformed image rotated by θ. Thereafter, a Fourier transformed image rotated by θ is referred to as a Fourier transformed image unless otherwise noted. (X Fmax, Y Fmax) Pull the Y F axis parallel auxiliary lines Y'F passing through the auxiliary line Y'F as the horizontal axis, the auxiliary line Y'F on luminance (Z F axis) and vertical axis Create a Y´ F -Z F diagram. To create a Y'' F -Z F diagram the value of the Y'F axis of the Y'F -Z F view divided by the average pitch A (Fig. 4). The horizontal axis of FIG. 4 includes an index indicating the orientation of the fine uneven shape. The half width W 1 of the peak in the plot of FIG. 4 (the width of the peak at a height at which the frequency is half of the maximum value) represents the degree of orientation of the fine unevenness in the present invention. As the half width W 1 is larger, it represents that is varied orientation, represents the extent of the direction of variation of the fine irregularities.

The average pitch A of the fine irregularities sheet used for the fine uneven thin metal wire sheet is an average value of each pitch A 1, A 2, A 3 · · ·, as if determined the degree of orientation of fine irregularities It is preferable to use a Fourier transform image (for example, FIG. 3). As shown in FIG. 3, the frequency is expressed by shading on the X F -Y F coordinate plane of the Fourier transform image. Frequency of Z F axis information of the Fourier transform performs a smoothing if necessary, the average pitch A = 1 of the position indicating the maximum frequency of the portion except for the central part of the Fourier transform image (X Fmax, Y Fmax) is the invention / {√ (X Fmax 2 + Y Fmax 2 )}. The average pitch A is preferably 1 nm to 100 μm.

In particular, when the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is a wire grid polarizing plate, if the average pitch A of the fine concavo-convex sheet is large, it becomes difficult to satisfy high polarization degree and high transmittance at the same time. The average pitch A of the sheet is preferably 200 nm or less, more preferably 120 nm or less, and particularly preferably 70 nm or less.
The average depth B of the fine concavo-convex sheet used in the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is the entire fine concavo-convex sheet 10 when a cross section (see FIG. 5) cut along the length direction of the fine concavo-convex sheet 10 is viewed. The average value (B AV ) of the lengths B 1 , B 2 , B 3 ... From the reference line L 1 parallel to the surface direction to the tops of the fine irregularities, and the bottom of each valley from the reference line L 1 Is the difference (b AV −B AV ) from the average value (b AV ) of the lengths b 1 , b 2 , b 3 .
The ratio B / A between the average depth B and the average pitch A of the fine uneven sheet used for the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is preferably 0.1 or more, more preferably 0.3 or more, It is particularly preferable if it is 0.7 or more.
In particular, when the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a wire grid polarizing plate, the ratio B / A between the average depth B and the average pitch A of the fine concavo-convex sheet is preferably 0.3 or more. .7 or more is particularly preferable. This is because when B / A is small, it is difficult to satisfy a high degree of polarization and a high transmittance at the same time.

The heat shrinkable film used in the present invention is preferably an MD direction heat shrinkable film. The MD direction heat-shrinkable film of the present invention is a film that shrinks mainly in the MD direction by heating. The MD direction heat-shrinkable film needs to stretch in the CD direction by heating or to shrink at a shrinkage rate smaller than that in the MD direction. If the shrinkage rate in the CD direction becomes larger than the shrinkage rate in the MD direction, the shape direction of the fine irregularities becomes difficult to become the CD direction, so the shrinkage rate in the CD direction may be less than one-fourth of the shrinkage rate in the MD direction. Preferably, it is 1/10 or less, more preferably 1/50 or less. In the case of extending in the CD direction, there is no particular limitation because the shape direction of the fine unevenness does not become difficult in the CD direction. Here, the shrinkage rate is (length before shrinkage−length after shrinkage) / (length before shrinkage) × 100 (%).
The MD direction heat shrinkable film of the present invention preferably has a shrinkage rate in the MD direction by heating of 10% or more. If it is less than 10%, the shape direction of the fine unevenness becomes the CD direction, and the average depth B may be insufficient, so that the performance as a sufficiently fine uneven metal fine wire sheet may not be exhibited. The average depth B greatly affects the shrinkage rate. A more preferable shrinkage ratio in the MD direction of the present invention is 30% or more, and a particularly preferable shrinkage ratio is 45% or more. Although there is no upper limit of the shrinkage rate, if the shrinkage rate is too large, the productivity is extremely lowered, so that it is preferably 95% or less, and more preferably 80% or less. The temperature at which the heat shrinkage of the MD heat-shrinkable film of the present invention starts is preferably 50 ° C. or higher, more preferably 90 ° C. or higher, and particularly preferably 130 ° C. or higher. If the temperature at which heat shrinkage starts is too low, the heat shrinkable film tends to shrink when the hard layer is provided, which is not preferable.

The MD direction heat-shrinkable film of the present invention is preferably stretched only in the MD direction during film production. As a method of stretching only in the MD direction, a known method can be used. For example, a method of stretching an unstretched film in the MD direction using a peripheral speed difference of a roll or a tenter that grips a nonstretched film with a clip does not change the width. The method of opening the gap of the clip of the flow direction can be mentioned. Also in the inflation method, it can be produced by increasing the draw ratio in the flow direction. There is no restriction | limiting in particular in the manufacturing method of an unstretched film, A well-known method can be used. Examples thereof include a melt extrusion method using a T die (smoothing or cooling can be performed with a casting roll after the melt extrusion), a method of dissolving and casting in a solvent, and the like. The unstretched film may be a single layer or a multilayer of two or more layers. In the case of a multilayer, the polymer composition of each layer may be different.
After stretching only in the MD direction, heat treatment such as thermal relaxation and electron beam irradiation treatment can be used without any limitation, and there are no restrictions on surface wettability improvement treatment such as corona discharge treatment or plasma treatment. Can be done without receiving. Further, for example, a knurling treatment can be applied to both ends of the film in order to prevent blocking.
As a material for the MD direction heat-shrinkable film, known polymers can be used. Preferably, polyolefins including polyesters such as polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate, polystyrenes, polyethylenes, polypropylenes, and cyclopolyolefins are used. System, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene-ethyl acetate copolymer system, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer system, polycarbonate system, polyvinyl chloride system, nylon system, polyacetyl acetate system, etc., polyester system, polyolefin system, polycarbonate The system can be mentioned more preferably. These polymers may be homopolymers or copolymers. Two or more kinds of polymers can be mixed and used. Moreover, a well-known antiblocking agent (For example, a silica can be mentioned as an inorganic pigment type | system | group), antioxidant, a plasticizer, a lubricant, and an antistatic agent can be mix | blended as needed.

As the MD direction heat shrinkable film, commercially available MD direction polyester shrink film, MD direction polystyrene shrink film, MD direction polyolefin shrink film, MD direction polycarbonate shrink film, MD direction polyvinyl chloride shrink film are preferably used. be able to.
The MD direction heat-shrinkable film of the present invention is preferably a continuous sheet, and particularly preferably handled as a winding. Since the productivity can be increased by using a continuous sheet, it is advantageous in terms of industry and price. In the case of a single sheet instead of a continuous sheet, the productivity is low because batch production is performed.

The laminated sheet of the present invention in which at least one smooth hard layer is provided on one side or both sides of the heat-shrinkable film is preferably a continuous sheet.
The hard layer of the present invention is composed of at least one selected from a metal, a metal compound, or a resin having a glass transition temperature that is 3 ° C. higher than the heat shrinkage temperature of the heat shrinkable film. With such a configuration, when the laminated sheet is heated and shrunk, the elastic modulus of the hard layer can be made larger than that of the heat-shrinkable film. Can be easily formed.

As metals that can be used for the hard layer, the elastic modulus does not become excessively high, and fine irregularities can be formed more easily, so gold, aluminum, silver, carbon, copper, germanium, indium, magnesium, niobium, palladium, lead , Platinum, silicon, tin, titanium, vanadium, zinc, bismuth, nickel, and preferably at least one metal selected from the group consisting of nickel, bismuth, and nickel. The metal here includes a semi-metal.

In addition, as a metal compound, for the same reason as described above, titanium oxide, aluminum oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, tin oxide, copper oxide, indium oxide, cadmium oxide, lead oxide, silicon oxide, barium fluoride, fluoride It is preferably at least one metal compound selected from the group consisting of calcium, magnesium fluoride, zinc sulfide, ITO, and gallium arsenide.

Further, the resin may be a resin having a glass transition temperature higher by 3 ° C. or more than the heat shrinkage temperature of the heat shrinkable film. For example, polyvinyl alcohol, polystyrene, acrylic resin, styrene-acryl copolymer, styrene-acrylonitrile. Copolymers, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, polycarbonate, polyethersulfone, polyimide, fluororesin, silicone resin and the like may be mentioned, and two or more kinds of resins may be mixed.

When the hard layer is a metal or a metal compound, the thickness is preferably 2 μm or less. When the hard layer is a resin, the thickness is preferably 10 μm or less. This is because if the thickness of the hard layer is too thick, the hard layer may break during meandering deformation.
In particular, when the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a wire grid polarizing plate, in order to make the average pitch A of the fine concavo-convex shape 200 nm or less, it is thick in the case of an inorganic hard layer such as a metal or a metal compound. The thickness is preferably 5 nm or less, and in the case of a resin hard layer, the thickness is preferably 50 nm or less. These hard layers may have pinholes. In order to obtain a single-sided fine uneven shape, the size of each pinhole is preferably 1/10 or less of the average pitch of the fine uneven sheet.
The average pitch A of the present invention increases as the elastic modulus of the hard layer increases or the thickness of the hard layer increases.
In the present invention, a primer layer may be formed between the heat-shrinkable film and the hard layer for the purpose of improving adhesion.

(Manufacturing method of a metal fine wire sheet having an uneven shape)
As a method for forming the smooth hard layer 12a on the heat-shrinkable film, in the case of (A) a metal or metal compound, for example, (1) a metal or metal compound is vapor-deposited on the surface of the heat-shrinkable film 11.
As a method for heat-shrinking the laminated sheet of the present invention, for example, the following method can be applied.
It is preferable to manufacture with a machine having at least three zones of unwinding zone, heat shrinkage zone, and finishing zone. Set the winding of the continuous laminated sheet in the unwinding zone and feed it out. In the heating shrinkage zone, the continuous laminated sheet shrinks mainly in the MD direction and deforms in a meandering manner. Manufacture by cutting, or instead of winding device, continuous fine uneven sheet is cut into sheets and manufactured.
In the present invention, in order to control the shrinkage rate in the MD direction due to heating, it is preferable to operate at a ratio of the outlet line speed / inlet line speed of the heat shrinkage zone of 0.05 to 0.9, 0.1 to 0. 7 is more preferable, and 0.2 to 0.55 is particularly preferable. If the ratio of the outlet line speed / inlet line speed is small, there is a problem that the shrinkage rate in the MD direction is too small. If the ratio of the outlet line speed / inlet line speed is too large, it becomes difficult to control the inlet line speed and the outlet line speed. Absent. A known method can be used to change the inlet line speed and the outlet line speed. For example, a draw method, a dancer method, a method using at least two roll circumferential speed differences, a method of gripping both end faces of a continuous sheet with a plurality of clips, and narrowing the interval between the clips in the flow direction, etc. are preferably mentioned. it can. The heating shrinkage zone can be a hot air dryer, drum dryer, infrared dryer, far-infrared dryer, burner dryer, steam dryer, or a dipping method in a hot solvent containing hot water. A known method may be used for sheet conveyance, and examples thereof include roll support conveyance, floating conveyance, belt conveyance, canvas conveyance, conveyance while grasping both end faces of a continuous sheet, and a plurality of clips.

In this way, the method of providing fine metal wires along the fine concavo-convex shape is preferably a method of applying a nano metal dispersion, a method of applying and reducing a metal halide solution, or a method of performing oblique metal vapor deposition. A metal vapor deposition method is particularly preferred.

The oblique deposition angle of the metal of the present invention is preferably 30 ° or more, more preferably 40 ° or more, even more preferably 55 ° or more, and particularly preferably 70 ° or more. The upper limit of the oblique deposition angle is 90 °, but it is preferably less than 80 ° because the deposition amount cannot be efficiently provided. In addition, the oblique deposition angle of the present invention is an angle formed by a straight line connecting a metal deposition source and a place where the metal is deposited and a straight line in a normal direction of the sheet passing through a place where the fine uneven sheet is deposited, When both straight lines coincide, the oblique deposition angle is 0 °. Note that the sheet normal direction of the present invention is the normal direction of the sheet when there are no fine irregularities, and each normal corresponding to the fine irregularities on the irregular surface. is not.

Moreover, the method of apply | coating a nano metal dispersion liquid and the method of apply | coating and reducing a metal halide liquid can provide a metal layer in the valley bottom part 13b vicinity, and can form a metal fine wire.
As the nanometal dispersion of the present invention, any known nanometal dispersion can be used. Preferred are a nanosilver dispersion, a nanogold dispersion, a nanocopper dispersion, and a nanoplatinum dispersion, and more preferably a nanosilver dispersion. The nano metal dispersion is preferably a metal dispersion having a particle size of 0.1 to 200 nm, more preferably 1 to 100 nm, and particularly preferably 5 to 70 nm. If the particle diameter is too large, the polarization characteristics of the obtained polarizing plate may not be sufficient. The nanometal dispersion coating layer is preferably fired (heat treated) to obtain a strong metallic luster after coating and drying the nanometal dispersion. A known coating method can be used for the nanometal coating layer. For example, air knife coating, roll coating, blade coating, Mayer bar coating, gravure coating, spray coating, cast coating, curtain coating, die slot coating, gate roll coating, size press coating, spin coating, dip coating, etc. it can.
A known metal halide can be used in the method for applying and reducing the metal halide of the present invention. Particularly preferred is silver halide. The application method is the same as the method of applying the nanometal dispersion, and the reduction method is preferably performed in air at a high temperature, and a known coating machine is used for drying after applying the metal halide.
The fine metal wire of the present invention may be a single layer or a plurality of different layers, and the surface of the fine metal wire may be oxidized by exposure to air.
The thickness of the fine metal wire is preferably 10 nm to 200 nm, and more preferably 15 nm to 100 nm. When the thickness of the metal fine wire is too thin, when the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet is used as a wire grid polarizing plate, it becomes difficult to satisfy the high degree of polarization and the high transmittance at the same time, and when the transparent conductive sheet is used, the high transmittance is obtained. Rate and low electrical resistance are difficult to satisfy at the same time.
Applying a nano metal dispersion, applying a metal halide solution and reducing, or if the thickness of the fine metal wire created by oblique metal deposition is insufficient, apply a negative voltage to the fine metal wire. It is preferable to perform metal plating to a required thickness. This is because the thickness of only the fine metal wire can be increased mainly by performing the metal plating while applying a negative voltage to the fine metal wire which has not reached the thickness. In order to obtain this characteristic, as the metal plating method, electroplating which is wet metal plating or ion plating vapor deposition which is dry metal plating is preferable. Both can be used together. When ion plating deposition is used as metal plating, an oblique angle may be provided, but it is preferable not to provide it. A more preferable metal plating method is a method of performing ion plating deposition while applying a negative voltage on a previously provided metal thin wire having a thickness not yet achieved.

The method of providing a fine metal wire on a particularly preferable fine concavo-convex sheet of the present invention is to apply a negative voltage to the oblique metal vapor deposition fine wire after first performing the oblique metal vapor deposition by resistance heating vapor deposition or electron beam vapor deposition. This is a method of performing ion plating deposition without oblique angles. By doing so, the thickness of the fine metal wires can be made sufficient, and since all the sheets can be wetted with liquid by using a dry metal plating technique, the cleaning step can be eliminated.
Known metals can be used for the metal fine wire of the present invention, and include metalloids such as germanium, tin, and silicon. Specifically, gold, aluminum, iron, silver, copper, germanium, indium, magnesium, niobium, palladium, lead, cadmium, platinum, silicon, tin, titanium, cobalt, chromium, tungsten, bismuth, rhodium, vanadium, zinc , Bismuth, or at least one selected from the group consisting of bismuth or an alloy thereof is preferable. More preferably, it is at least one selected from aluminum, nickel, zinc, silver and platinum or an alloy thereof, and particularly preferable is at least one selected from aluminum and nickel for reasons such as price and stability of metallic luster. Or these alloys.

The present invention uses a continuous sheet as the MD direction heat shrinkable film, creates a continuous laminated sheet having at least one hard layer on one or both sides of the MD direction heat shrinkable film, and heat-shrinks the continuous laminated sheet. A continuous fine concavo-convex sheet in which the direction of the fine concavo-convex shape is the CD direction is created by continuously heating and shrinking in the zone, and the continuous fine concavo-convex sheet in which the direction of the fine concavo-convex shape is the CD direction is formed on the vapor deposition drum in the vapor deposition machine. It is preferable that the metal vapor deposition direction is continuously removed by removing the core of the vapor deposition drum to carry out oblique metal vapor deposition to produce a continuous oblique metal vapor deposition sheet. Further, a negative voltage is applied to the oblique metal vapor deposition layer. It is preferable to perform wet plating or ion plating vapor deposition continuously while applying to create a continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet. In addition, the vapor deposition drum of this invention is a drum arrange | positioned in the place which vapor-deposits a sheet | seat with a roll-to-roll, and can also be used as a cooling drum in order to cool the heat | fever generate | occur | produced at the time of vapor deposition.
Thus, by using the MD direction heat shrinkability, it is possible to create a continuous sheet of fine concavo-convex sheet having a fine concavo-convex shape in the CD direction without a special apparatus, and using this fine concavo-convex sheet, vapor deposition is performed on a roll-to-roll. By removing the core of the vapor deposition drum of the apparatus for performing the vapor deposition, it is possible to easily provide a metal layer near the top of the fine irregularities (for example, 13a in FIG. 2), and to make a metal thin wire sheet highly productive. be able to.
In the present invention, it is preferable to perform etching for the purpose of controlling the metal fine line width. As the etching method, known dry etching and wet etching can be used. It is more preferable to use wet etching because it can be easily etched with a continuous sheet.

When the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is a wire grid polarizing plate, the ratio T / S of the average width T of the fine metal wire of the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet to the average width S of the space portion between the metal fine wires is 0.1. Is preferably ˜25, more preferably 0.5˜20, and particularly preferably 2˜18. Moreover, it is preferable that ratio T / A with the average pitch A of a fine uneven | corrugated sheet is 0.3-0.98, It is more preferable that it is 0.4-0.96, 0.6-0.92 It is particularly preferred that This is because it is difficult to obtain a polarizing plate satisfying a high degree of polarization and a high transmittance even if T / A is too small or too large. The average width T of the thin metal wire of the present invention is preferably 150 nm or less, more preferably 120 nm or less, and particularly preferably 70 nm or less. Further, the preferable transmittance and degree of polarization when the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a wire grid polarizing plate are such that the transmittance of light in the vicinity of a wavelength of 550 nm is 35% to 50% and the degree of polarization is 95% or more. It is particularly preferable that the transmittance is 40% or more and 50 or less and the degree of polarization is 99.5% or more. This is because when the transmittance is low, the degree of polarization may be insufficient as a polarizing plate for a liquid crystal display.

When the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a transparent electrode sheet, the average width T of the metal fine wires is preferably 1 μm or less, more preferably 500 nm or less, and particularly preferably 200 nm or less. This is because if the average width T of the thin metal wires is too thick, the transmittance becomes difficult to increase.
When the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a transparent electrode sheet, the total light transmittance is preferably 70% or more, more preferably 80% or more. Further, the surface resistivity is preferably 500Ω or less, more preferably 150Ω or less. This is because if the transmittance is too low or the surface electrical resistance is too high, it becomes difficult to use it for a transparent electrode sheet such as a touch panel, a solar cell, a liquid crystal display, or the like.

The fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention can be transferred to another substrate. As a transfer method, (1) after forming a resin coating layer for transfer on a fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet, pasting it to the substrate, peeling the fine concavo-convex sheet and transferring it to the substrate, (2) transferring onto the substrate Examples of the method include forming a resin coating layer and then bonding a fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet, peeling the fine concavo-convex sheet, and transferring it to a substrate. The method (1) is more preferable because it can reduce the damage to the fine metal wires due to the transfer.
As specific examples of the substrate, any substrate such as a rigid substrate such as glass or an acrylic plate, which is poor in flexibility, or a flexible substrate such as a film can be used. As the rigid substrate, a flat panel display substrate, a solar cell substrate, concrete, etc. Including. As the film, known films can be used, such as polyethylene film, polypropylene film, cycloolefin film, polyethylene terephthalate film, polyethylene naphthalate film, triacetate film, polyvinyl alcohol film, acrylic film, polycarbonate film, polyvinyl chloride. Examples thereof include a film, a polyvinylidene chloride film, a nylon film, and a gelatin film.
Specific transfer resins include acrylic resin, polystyrene, urethane resin, silicone resin, fluorine resin, epoxy resin, melamine resin, phenol resin, polyester resin, polyvinyl alcohol, starch, gelatin, chitosan, cellulose, natural rubber, BR , SBR, NBR, ABS, chloropropylene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, polyisoprene rubber, butyl rubber, silicone rubber, urethane rubber, polysulfide, neoprene rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber, nitrile rubber, and copolymers and derivatives thereof, monomers, oligomers Can be mentioned. As such a transfer resin, those having properties as pressure-sensitive adhesives are preferred, and those that lose the properties as pressure-sensitive adhesives by the action of heat and / or ionizing radiation are particularly preferred. When a transfer resin having such properties is used, after bonding the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet and the substrate with the transfer resin, or after peeling the fine concavo-convex sheet, heat and / or ionizing radiation is applied to cause adhesion. It loses its properties as an agent. The ionizing radiation means ultraviolet rays and electron beams.
Examples of the method for providing a transfer resin coating layer include air knife coating, roll coating, blade coating, Mayer bar coating, gravure coating, spray coating, cast coating, curtain coating, die slot coating, gate roll coating, and size press coating.

A known primer layer may be provided between the heat-shrinkable film of the present invention and the hard layer, or between the sheet having fine irregularities and the discontinuous metal layer, depending on the necessity for improving adhesion.
If necessary, an anti-oxidation layer such as SiO 2 or a hard coat layer for improving scratch resistance can be provided on the fine metal wire of the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention for the purpose of preventing oxidation of the metal layer. . A well-known thing can be used for an antioxidant layer and a hard-coat layer.
The fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is a known adhesive layer, antireflection layer, diffusion layer, viewing angle correction layer (when used for a liquid crystal display, for example, a viewing angle correction layer in which a discotic liquid crystal is obliquely oriented. A viewing angle correction layer using cholesteric liquid crystal, a viewing angle correction layer in which rod-shaped liquid crystal is aligned, and the like can be provided, and the provided sheet can be bonded. In addition, a phase difference plate and other films for improving the functions can be used in combination or in combination. And it can use preferably for a well-known various flat panel display. More preferred are a liquid crystal display (LCD), an organic EL display, and an inorganic EL display.
When the fine concavo-convex metal thin wire sheet of the present invention is used as a wire grid polarizing plate, the polarizing plate of the present invention is used for these displays instead of the conventional iodine absorbing polarizing plate or dye absorbing polarizing plate. , The brightness can be improved. This is because the polarizing plate of the present invention selectively reflects the S wave (or either P wave), so that the reflected S wave (or P wave) is phase-converted again and transmitted through the P wave (or S wave). This is because it can be used effectively as a wave. Further, it can also be used in combination with a conventional iodine absorption polarizing plate or dye absorption polarizing plate (bonding together if necessary). When used in a liquid crystal display, it can be used on both sides of the liquid crystal cell or on one side. When it is used on one side, it is preferably used on the backlight side or the back side, not on the viewer side. This is because the reflection can be reduced by using the backlight side or the back side.
It can also be used as a brightness enhancement film, not as a polarizing plate for liquid crystal displays. For example, a liquid crystal display can be incorporated into the backlight unit. The light source in this case may be any known light source (for example, hot cathode tube, cold cathode tube, LED). It can use together with the well-known functional film used for a backlight unit. Examples of such a functional film include a reflection plate, a light guide plate, a diffusion plate, a diffusion sheet, and a prism sheet.
When the fine uneven metal fine wire sheet of the present invention is used as a transparent conductive sheet, it can be used instead of the conventional ITO transparent electrode sheet. For example, a solar cell, a touch panel, a liquid crystal display, an electromagnetic wave shield, etc. can be mentioned.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described by way of examples.

<実施例1>
Y´´- ZF図からピークの半値幅W(頻度が最大値の半分になる高さでのピークの幅)を求め、配向度Wを求めた。
<Example 1>
The polyethylene terephthalate polymer is directly polymerized so that the polymer composition is terephthalic acid: sebacic acid / ethylene glycol: diethylene glycol: neopentyl glycol: 1,4-butanediol = 97: 3/53: 2: 20: 25 And polymerized. This was mixed with 0.05% by mass of silica having an average particle size of 2.5 μm, dried at 150 ° C. for 6 hours, and melt-extruded with a T-die at 280 ° C. to obtain an unstretched film having a thickness of 200 μm. After this non-stretched film is preheated at 100 ° C. for 10 seconds, it is longitudinally stretched at 80 ° C. at a stretch ratio of 5 times, and after longitudinal stretching, heat treatment is performed at 70 ° C. for 10 seconds to form a continuous sheet of MD direction heat shrinkable film A. A winding was obtained.
Silicon dioxide was vapor-deposited on one side of the obtained MD direction heat shrinkable film A so as to have a thickness of 1.5 nm, and the laminated sheet 1 was obtained by winding.
Winding of the obtained laminated sheet was placed in the unwinding zone, and a floating hot air dryer set at 150 ° C. was conveyed as a heat shrinkage zone to be contracted and wound. The line speed was adjusted to stay in the heat shrink zone for 10 seconds, and the outlet line speed / inlet line speed ratio in the heat shrink zone was set to 0.4. Thereby, the shrinkage | contraction sheet 1 without a big wrinkle of 60% of shrinkage ratio was obtained.
When the surface of the surface of the obtained shrinkable sheet 1 provided with the hard layer was observed with an atomic force microscope (Nanoscope III manufactured by Nihon Beco), a fine uneven shape was observed, and the direction of the fine uneven shape was the CD direction. I confirmed that there was. Also by the following method, the average pitch A, the average depth B, was determined orientation W 1. After converting the atomic force microscope image to a grayscale image, two-dimensional Fourier transform is performed. The frequency (Z F ) of the Fourier transform image is smoothed, and the average pitch A = 1 / {√ (X Fmax 2 ) from the position (X Fmax , Y Fmax ) indicating the maximum frequency of the portion excluding the center of the Fourier transform image. + Y Fmax 2 )}. Subsequently, using this Fourier transform image, the degree of orientation is obtained by the method shown in “Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention”. In other words, the Fourier transform image is created by rotating the maximum luminance part of the Fourier transform image by θ on the X F axis of the X F -Y F coordinate plane and rotating the θ so that the maximum brightness part matches on the X F axis. and the vertical axis the (X Fmax, Y Fmax) pull the Y F axis parallel auxiliary lines Y'F passing through the auxiliary line Y'F as the horizontal axis, the auxiliary line Y'F on the luminance (Z F axis) Create a Y´ F -Z F diagram. The value of the Y'F axis of the Y'F -Z F diagram creates a Y'' F -Z F view divided by the average pitch A,
The peak half-value width W 1 (peak width at a height at which the frequency is half the maximum value) was determined from the Y ″ -Z F diagram, and the degree of orientation W 1 was determined. In the cross-sectional image obtained from the atomic force microscope measurement, the average depth B was obtained from 10 peaks and valleys. The results are shown in Table 1.
The resulting continuous shrinkable sheet 1 is wound on the vapor deposition machine with the aluminum vapor deposition direction removed from the core of the vapor deposition roll so that the oblique angle is 45 °, and the shrinkable sheet 1 is run so that the aluminum thickness is 250 nm. Then, aluminum vapor deposition was continuously performed to prepare a continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 1. The polarization characteristics at a wavelength of 549.5 nm of the light of the fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 1 were measured by KOBRA (manufactured by Oji Scientific Instruments). Moreover, based on the method of JISR3256, it measured in the environment of surface electrical resistivity 23 degreeC50% RH. Further, the average width T of the fine metal wires and the average width S of the space portion between the fine metal wires were determined by electron microscope observation. <Example 2>
A polyethylene terephthalate polymer was polymerized by a direct polymerization method so that the polymer composition was terephthalic acid / ethylene glycol = 1/1. This was mixed with 0.05% by mass of silica having an average particle size of 2.5 μm, dried at 150 ° C. for 6 hours, and melt-extruded with a T-die at 285 ° C. to obtain an unstretched film having a thickness of 200 μm. This non-stretched film was preheated at 100 ° C. for 10 seconds, and then longitudinally stretched at 100 ° C. at a stretch ratio of 5 to obtain a continuous sheet of MD direction heat-shrinkable film B.
Aluminum oxide was vapor-deposited on one side of the obtained MD-direction heat-shrinkable film B so as to have a thickness of 2 nm, and the laminated sheet 2 was obtained by winding.
Winding of the obtained laminated sheet was placed in the unwinding zone, and a floating hot air dryer set at 130 ° C. was conveyed as a heat shrinkage zone and contracted and wound. The line speed was adjusted so as to stay in the heat shrink zone for 20 seconds, and the outlet line speed / inlet line speed ratio of the heat shrink zone was set to 0.8. Thereby, the shrinkage | contraction sheet 2 without a big wrinkle of shrinkage rate 20% was obtained. When the surface shape was observed in the same manner as in Example 1, a fine uneven shape was observed, and it was confirmed that the direction of the fine uneven shape was the CD direction. Average pitch A, the average depth B, the degree of orientation W 1 are shown in Table 1.
The resulting continuous shrinkable sheet 2 is wound on the vapor deposition machine with the aluminum vapor deposition direction removed from the core of the vapor deposition roll so that the oblique angle is 45 °, and the shrinkable sheet 2 is run so that the aluminum thickness is 100 nm. Then, aluminum vapor deposition was continuously performed to prepare a continuous fine uneven metal fine wire sheet 2 ′. Ion plating deposition was performed with a continuous sheet so that 400 nm of aluminum was further laminated on the prepared continuous fine uneven metal thin wire sheet 2 ′. At this time, a negative voltage applied by ion plating vapor deposition was applied to the metal fine wire of the continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 2 ′ to produce a continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 2 ″. The produced continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 2 ″ was run so as to be immersed in a 0.5% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution for 10 seconds, and etched to produce a continuous fine concavo-convex metal fine wire sheet 2. The polarization characteristics of the light with a wavelength of 549.5 nm of the formed fine uneven metal fine wire sheet 2 were measured with KOBRA (manufactured by Oji Scientific Instruments). Moreover, based on the method of JISR3256, it measured in the environment of surface electrical resistivity 23 degreeC50% RH. Further, the average width T of the fine metal wires and the average width S of the space portion between the fine metal wires were determined by electron microscope observation.
