Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a collimator, a radiation detector, an X-ray CT apparatus, and a collimator manufacturing method.
In recent X-ray CT (Computer Tomography) apparatuses, a solid detector (hereinafter referred to as a radiation detector) using a scintillator is used in order to increase the number of detection points and increase the spatial resolution.
The radiation detector includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements provided on a substrate and a scintillator stacked thereon, and the scintillator is separated by a light reflecting portion for each detection section of the photoelectric conversion elements. Is partitioned. In addition, a collimator is provided to control X-rays incident on individual scintillators and absorb scattered X-rays to reduce crosstalk due to scattered X-rays.
Here, radiation detectors having a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are used not only in the channel direction but also in the slice direction because of a demand for photographing a wide range at high speed and with high definition. In such a radiation detector, it is necessary to remove not only the channel direction but also scattered X-rays in the slice direction. For this reason, a radiation detector has been proposed in which a collimator for removing scattered X-rays in the channel direction and a collimator for removing scattered X-rays in the slice direction are stacked in two stages (see Patent Document 1). .
However, if the collimator for removing scattered X-rays in the channel direction and the collimator for removing scattered X-rays in the slice direction are stacked in two stages, the space efficiency will deteriorate. In addition, the cost of the collimator is increased and the manufacturing process is complicated.
Therefore, a technique for forming a collimator having a three-dimensional lattice structure by alternately stretching vertical wire lines and horizontal wire lines has been proposed (see Patent Document 2).
According to the technique disclosed in
However, if a collimator having a three-dimensional lattice structure is formed by alternately stretching vertical wire lines and horizontal wire lines, a gap may be generated between the wire lines and crosstalk may increase. If a radiation detector equipped with a collimator having such a configuration is used in an X-ray CT apparatus, the image quality of the X-ray CT image may be degraded.

As a typical example of radiation, the case of X-rays is taken as an example. explain. Therefore, when applying to other radiation in the following embodiments, “X-ray” may be replaced with “radiation”.

FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view for illustrating a collimator and a radiation detector according to the first embodiment.
FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view for illustrating an AA cross section in FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 is a schematic enlarged view of a portion B in FIG.
In addition, the arrow in a figure represents the incident direction of X-rays.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the
The
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The

The

The

The

Here, since the
For example, the lattice size of the radiation detector remains the same as before, the size of the radiation detector is increased in the slicing direction to increase the number of rows, and the imaging range that can be imaged at one time is widened. ing. By doing so, it is possible to reduce the amount of radiation (for example, the amount of X-ray irradiation) when photographing the same range, so that the amount of exposure can be reduced.
Further, the size of the radiation detector is kept as it is, and the lattice size of the radiation detector is reduced to increase the number of rows and increase the number of rows. By doing so, it is possible to increase the resolution, and it is possible to shoot a finer photographic object.
In this way, the workability is poor, and the
As a result of the study, the inventor can reduce the crosstalk and reduce the manufacturing cost by forming the

In this case, the angle of the side surface portion of the truncated pyramid can be appropriately determined according to the division size of the
