なお、突出体8はトラス1の上側トラス部2に対して脱着可能に取り付けられているから、トラス1の設置作業終了後にその突出体8をトラス1から取り除くことも可能である。勿論、取り除かずに、そのまま突出体8をトラス1に取り付けらままとすることも可能である。
また、前記実施形態では、トラス1の下側トラス部3を吊上げる第2の揚重装置22を下階床14の上方の既設の梁材などからなる支持部21に取り付けるようにしたが、例えば上階床10の下面の梁材に取り付けるような場合であってもよい。さらに、トラス1の下側トラス部3を吊上げる揚重装置としては、門型クレーンのような揚重装置を用いることも可能である。

前記上階床には前記トラスの一端側端部を通すための開口が形成され、その開口の内側面に前記トラスの一端側端部を支承するためのトラス支承部が突出して設けられ、前記トラスの一端側端部の端面には前記トラス支承部と係合可能な係合部が設けられ、さらに前記トラスの一端側端部の下部にはその下方に突出する突出体が設けられており、前記トラス支承部に揚重装置を取り付け、この揚重装置の吊り索を前記下階床に配置された前記トラスの突出体に連結する工程と、
前記揚重装置を駆動し、前記吊り索で前記トラスの一端側端部を吊上げ、その一端側端部を前記上階床のトラス支承部よりも上方のレベル位置にまで引き上げる工程と、
その引き上げた前記トラスの一端側端部を前記揚重装置で下げ降ろして前記係合部を前記トラス支承部の上に載置して係合させる工程と、
を含む手順を経て前記トラスを前記上階床と下階床との間に設置することを特徴とする乗客コンベアのトラス設置方法。
