Description

The present invention relates to a fiber and a sheet-like material composed of a blend mainly composed of a resole resin with improved spinnability and brittleness.

In recent years, the application of fiber materials to industrial materials has progressed, but insoluble and infusible heat-resistant fibers that are excellent in chemical resistance and do not melt even when exposed to high temperatures and heat-resistant sheets made of the same have been attracting attention.

As such a heat-resistant sheet, paper made of meta-aramid fiber is widely used, but there is a problem that it is expensive. On the other hand, as a low-cost heat-resistant polymer, a cross-linked polymer is considered suitable, and melamine fibers have been studied as described in Patent Document 1 and the like. However, it seems that it has not spread as a business due to the cost of equipment such as wet spinning solution treatment and the complicated crosslinking treatment.

On the other hand, as a raw material of activated carbon fiber, a fiber using a phenol resin as a heat-resistant polymer is described in Patent Document 2 and the like. The phenol resin is made insoluble and infusible by improving chemical resistance and heat resistance by crosslinking phenol with a methylol component. Phenolic resins are roughly classified into thermoplastic novolak resins and thermosetting resol resins. Novolak resins need to be cured by crosslinking with a crosslinking agent in a solution after fiberization, but resole resins are Curing is possible only by heat treatment, and when considering an actual production process, it is preferable to select a resole resin. However, since the resol resin has a relatively low molecular weight, the spinnability is extremely low, and the resole resin alone is difficult to be fiberized. Furthermore, even if the fiber is made, it is very brittle, cannot be bent, and has a fatal defect that it is very difficult to handle.

Hereafter, the prior art regarding fiberization of a phenol resin is described. In Patent Document 3, a sea-island blend fiber is obtained in which a resol resin is used as an island component and polyvinyl alcohol (hereinafter sometimes abbreviated as PVA) or the like as a sea component, and the sea polymer is removed therefrom to form the resole resin. Obtaining fibers is described. However, since this is a fiber made of a single resole resin, it is very brittle and has poor handleability.

In Patent Document 4, a mixture of novolak resin and resole resin is electrospun (hereinafter sometimes abbreviated as ESP) to obtain a sheet made of ultrafine fibers of a blend of novolac resin and resole resin. It is described. This was also inferior in handleability.

Furthermore, Non-Patent Document 1 describes that ESP is performed by blending a small amount of polyvinyl butyral in order to improve the brittleness of the novolak resin. This seemed to improve handling, but since novolak resin was used, when considering the actual production process, treatment for crosslinking in the solution was necessary and the equipment was complicated. Moreover, the cost is high and the production efficiency is poor.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to improve the low spinnability of the conventional resole resin, and the fiber and sheet-like material mainly composed of the resole resin that can also improve the handleability by improving the brittleness of the obtained fiber, It is an object of the present invention to provide a solution comprising a blend and a solvent for producing them, and a method for producing these fibers and sheets.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a solution comprising a blend and a solvent according to the present invention uses an amine catalyst as a catalyst, and a resol resin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000 has a solution viscosity of 10 to 100 mPa. -It consists of what blended 0.5 to 5 weight% of s polyvinyl butyral with respect to the whole blend.

The fiber according to the present invention uses an amine catalyst as a catalyst, and a polyvinyl butyral having a solution viscosity of 10 to 100 mPa · s is added to a resol resin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000 with respect to the entire blend. .5 to 5% by weight blended blend, and fiber diameter is 0.001 to 10 [mu] m.

The sheet-like material according to the present invention comprises the above-described fibers in a sheet-like form.

Moreover, the manufacturing method of the fiber based on this invention consists of the method of electrospinning the solution which consists of said blend and a solvent with an electric field of 0.1-3 kV / cm.

Furthermore, in the method for producing a sheet-like material according to the present invention, a solution comprising the above-mentioned blend and solvent is electrospun into a fiber with an electric field of 0.1 to 3 kV / cm, and the fiber is collected in a sheet shape. It consists of a way to do.

According to the solution comprising the blend of the resole resin and polyvinyl butyral according to the present invention, the fiber comprising the blend, and the sheet-like material comprising the fiber, the poor spinnability that has been a problem with conventional resole resins is improved. In addition, the brittleness of the fiber can be improved, and a heat-resistant fiber and a heat-resistant sheet excellent in handleability at low cost can be obtained. These fibers and sheets can be efficiently produced by electrospinning with an electric field having an appropriate strength.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail together with preferred embodiments.
The phenol resin referred to in the present invention is a polymer having phenol and / or a phenol derivative (hereinafter collectively referred to as phenols) as a structural unit, and usually contains an appropriate crosslinking component. The phenolic resin can be cured by an appropriate crosslinking treatment after molding to be an insoluble infusible material having excellent chemical resistance and heat resistance. Phenolic resins are broadly divided into thermoplastic novolak resins and thermosetting resol resins. Novolak resins need to be re-crosslinked with a cross-linking agent in a solution after molding. Curing is possible only by heat treatment, and it is important to select a resole resin when considering an actual production process.

The resol resin referred to in the present invention refers to a monomer or polymer mixture in which a functional group or substituent that causes a crosslinking reaction by heating to phenols is introduced. For this reason, it has the advantage that it can be cured only by heat treatment, but it is inferior in spinnability and is often used as an impregnation polymer for paper or porous materials or as an adhesive component. Also, there is a drawback that the polymer itself is very brittle.

The resole resin is usually obtained by reacting phenols and aldehydes in the presence of a basic catalyst. Although there is no limitation in particular as said phenols, For example, the following things can be illustrated. That is, cresols such as phenol, o-cresol, m-cresol, p-cresol, 2,3-xylenol, 2,4-xylenol, 2,5-xylenol, 2,6-xylenol, 3,4-xylenol, 3, , 5-xylenol, xylenol, o-ethylphenol, m-ethylphenol, ethylphenol such as p-ethylphenol, isopropylphenol, butylphenol, butylphenol such as p-tert-butylphenol, p-tert-amylphenol, p- Alkylphenols such as octylphenol, p-nonylphenol, p-cumylphenol, halogenated phenols such as fluorophenol, chlorophenol, bromophenol, iodophenol, p-phenylphenol, aminophenol Monohydric phenol substitutes such as alcohol, nitrophenol, dinitrophenol and trinitrophenol, and monohydric phenols such as 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol, resorcin, alkylresorcin, pyrogallol, catechol, alkylcatechol, hydroquinone, alkyl Examples thereof include polyhydric phenols such as hydroquinone, phloroglucin, bisphenol A, bisphenol F, bisphenol S, and dihydroxynaphthalene. Alternatively, xylene / formaldehyde polycondensate, dicyclopentadiene, paraxylylene alcohol derivative, tung oil, tall oil, etc., reacted with phenols under acidic conditions may be used. You may use these individually or in combination of 2 or more types. Among these, phenol, cresols, and bisphenol A can be preferably used because high mechanical properties are easily obtained.

The aldehydes are not particularly limited, and examples thereof include the following. That is, formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, trioxane, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, polyoxymethylene, chloral, hexamethylenetetramine, furfural, glyoxazole, n-butyraldehyde, caproaldehyde, allylaldehyde, benzaldehyde, crotonaldehyde, acrolein, tetraoxy Examples include methylene, phenylacetaldehyde, o-tolualdehyde, and salicylaldehyde. You may use these individually or in mixture of 2 or more types. Of these, formaldehyde and paraformaldehyde can be preferably used because of their high reactivity during synthesis.

In the present invention, it is important from the viewpoint of reactivity that an amine catalyst such as aqueous ammonia, tertiary amine (such as triethylamine) or hexamethylenetetramine is used as the basic catalyst.

The reaction molar ratio of the aldehyde to the phenol during the synthesis reaction is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.5 to 3 mol of the aldehyde with respect to 1 mol of the phenol, and more preferably 0.7 to 2 aldehyde. .5 mol.

The resol resin can be aged by reacting phenols and aldehydes, dehydrating them, adding a solvent and keeping the temperature below the boiling point in the system. At this time, a high molecular weight resole resin can be obtained by increasing the aging temperature or taking a long time. Controlling the aging time is preferable because the cross-linking reaction can be controlled with good reproducibility, and increasing the aging temperature is preferable because the aging time can be shortened. In consideration of electrospinning the obtained resole resin, it is preferable to select a solvent having an appropriate vapor pressure because the evaporation rate of the solvent is an important parameter for fiberization. More specifically, alcohols such as methanol, ethanol and isopropanol are preferred. However, when the aging temperature is increased, dimethyl sulfoxide having a high boiling point or the like may be used.

As the molecular weight of the resole resin, the higher molecular weight can improve the moldability, spinnability and brittleness of the product, so the weight average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene (PS) is preferably 3,000 to 50,000. is important. A weight average molecular weight of 4,000 to 10,000 is preferable because the spinnability is further improved and the solubility when it is made into a solution is also improved. The weight average molecular weight was measured using gel permeation chromatography (hereinafter abbreviated as GPC) and calculated in terms of PS under the following conditions.
GPC body: HLC-8120 manufactured by TOSOH
Analysis column: 1 G1000HLX, 2 G2000HLX, manufactured by TOSOH
1 G3000HLX Elution solvent: Tetrahydrofuran (hereinafter abbreviated as THF)
Flow rate: 1.0 mL / min Column temperature: 40 ° C
Detector: Differential refractometer

Moreover, it is preferable that the amount of formaldehyde contained in the resole resin is small because there is less outgas when being processed or commercialized. More specifically, the formaldehyde content measured by a titration method is preferably 1% or less with respect to the entire resol resin.

The resole resin referred to in the present invention may contain another polymer as long as it does not impair the easy curability of the resole resin. The blend ratio of another polymer is preferably 10% by weight or less, more preferably 5% by weight or less. Examples of the other polymer include polymers that exhibit adhesiveness, high heat resistance, and high chemical resistance by crosslinking, such as thermosetting polymers such as novolak resins and epoxy resins, and photocurable polymers. Further, from the viewpoint of improving the low spinnability of the resole resin, a polymer having good spinnability can be obtained. For example, novolak resin, cellulose, cellulose derivative, high heat-resistant polyolefin, polyester, liquid crystal polyester, polyphenylene sulfide, polyketone, polyether ketone, polyether ether ketone, para-aramid, meta-aramid, polyimide, polyamide-imide and the like can be exemplified. However, it is important that these polymers can be dissolved in the same solvent as the resole resin. Among these, low-cost and cross-linked polymers are preferable from the viewpoint of heat resistance and chemical resistance, and novolak resins and epoxy resins are preferable examples.

The polyvinyl butyral referred to in the present invention (hereinafter abbreviated as PVB) is a copolymer containing a butyral group as a main component and a hydroxyl group and a small amount of acetyl group, and is obtained by converting polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) into a butyral. be able to. From the viewpoint of improving the spinnability and brittleness of the resole resin, the degree of butyralization is preferably 50 to 81.6 mol%, more preferably 60 mol% or more. The molecular weight is preferably 40,000 to 1,000,000, more preferably 80,000 to 200,000 in terms of weight average molecular weight from the viewpoint of improving the spinnability and brittleness of the resole resin. Further, there is a solution viscosity as a parameter reflecting the molecular weight and the degree of polymerization, and it is easier to manage with the solution viscosity from the viewpoint of process control.

In the present invention, the solution viscosity of PVB is obtained by dissolving PVB in ethanol to a concentration of 5% by weight and measuring the solution viscosity under the following conditions. That is, the measurement was performed at 25 ° C. using a cone plate type rotational viscometer (E type viscometer ELD) manufactured by Toki Sangyo Co., Ltd. The cone angle was φ1 ° 34 ′, the rotor rotation speed was 100 rpm, and the shear rate was 383 sec −1 . The solution viscosity of PVB used in the present invention is important to be 10 to 100 mPa · s from the viewpoint of improving the spinnability and brittleness of the resole resin. PVB preferably has a viscosity of 50 mPa · s or higher because the higher the viscosity, the better the spinnability of the resole resin. On the other hand, when PVB becomes too viscous, when electrospinning the blend solution, the spinnability may be lowered or the fiber diameter may be increased, so the solution viscosity of PVB is preferably 80 mPa · s or less. is there.

The PVB blend ratio is important to be 0.5% by weight or more from the viewpoint of improving the spinnability of the resole resin. Moreover, if it is 1 weight% or more, an effect is recognized also in a brittleness improvement, and it is preferable. Furthermore, when performing electrospinning, it is more preferable that the PVB blend ratio is 1.5% by weight or more because generation of beads can be suppressed. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of utilizing the excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance of the resole resin after curing, the PVB blend ratio is preferably low, and it is important that it is 5% by weight or less. Preferably it is 3 weight% or less. The blend ratio here refers to the weight ratio of the blend PVB to the total weight of the resole resin and PVB.

The present invention solves the drawbacks of the resole resin by blending a small amount of PVB with the resole resin. The reason for this is not clear, but is presumed as follows. That is, the poor spinnability and brittleness of the resole resin is because the resole resin is a low molecular weight substance and is partially crosslinked from the raw material for spinning, so that the molecular chain like a linear polymer. It is thought that this is because there is little entanglement. When a small amount of PVB is blended here, not only the chain length of the resole resin is extended by the hydroxyl group of PVB but the molecular chain length is extended, and the bulky butyral group possessed by many PVB suppresses excessive aggregation of the molecular chains of the resole resin. By doing so, it is considered that the deformation followability is improved, and the spinnability and brittleness are improved. Actually, in PVA as a raw material for PVB, an effect similar to that of PVB has not been observed so much. This is because most of the side chains of the PVA are hydroxyl groups, and it is difficult to extend as a molecular chain by promoting cross-linking rather than a chain linking effect, and it does not have a bulky side chain like a butyral group. It seems that it is difficult to realize the effect.

The blend referred to in the present invention comprises a resole resin and PVB, and may be solid or liquid. By making the blend into a fiber, it can be used not only as a raw material for the sheet-like material but also as a heat-resistant fiber by freely producing a fiber structure. Moreover, it can also be utilized as a heat-resistant sheet | seat by setting it as a sheet-like thing.

Also, the blend can be used as a raw material for electrospinning by dissolving in a suitable solvent to form a solution. Although the solvent at this time should just melt | dissolve both the polymer containing a resole resin and PVB, the following can be mentioned, for example. Among these, alcohol and acetone are preferable from the viewpoint of low environmental load, and ethanol and isopropanol are particularly preferable. Further, when electrospinning is performed using a solvent that evaporates quickly, nozzle clogging is likely to occur, and therefore it is preferable to select a material with an appropriate evaporation rate. Specifically, ethanol or isopropanol is preferable. Also, alcohols are preferable from the viewpoint of solubility of PVB. There is no restriction on the viscosity of the blended solution, but if the viscosity is too low, it will be difficult to connect the solution when molding or spinning. Conversely, if the viscosity is too high, the extensibility will decrease and the moldability and spinnability will decrease. Therefore, it is preferable to select an appropriate viscosity. For example, when electrospinning is performed, a relatively low viscosity tends to have better spinnability, and the fiber diameter tends to be thinner. Specifically, it is preferably 7 to 50 mPa · s. In addition, the solution viscosity measuring apparatus used in PVB can be applied.

In addition, the blended product of the present invention is preferably applied to various uses in the form of fibers. The fiber of the present invention preferably has a length / diameter ratio L / D of 10 or more from the viewpoint of improving the brittleness unique to the resole resin and improving flexibility. Although there is no restriction | limiting in particular about length, It is preferable that it is 50 micrometers or more from a viewpoint of making it easy to form the sheet | seat mentioned later. In addition, it is important to set the fiber diameter in the range of 0.001 to 10 μm from the viewpoint of ensuring the mechanical properties of one single fiber while improving the brittleness unique to the resole resin and improving flexibility. From the viewpoint of improving flexibility, the fiber diameter is preferably 5 μm or less, more preferably 3 μm or less. On the other hand, the lower limit of the fiber diameter is preferably 0.1 μm or more from the viewpoint of securing the mechanical properties of one single fiber. Further, the smaller the fiber diameter variation is, the more preferable it is from the viewpoint of uniformity when it is made into a sheet-like material, and it is preferably 0.1 to 5 μm. More preferably, it is 0.5-3 micrometers.

In addition, it is preferable that the fiber made of the blend of the present invention is in a sheet form because application to a heat-resistant sheet or a honeycomb structure is facilitated. Examples of the sheet-like material referred to in the present invention include paper and non-woven fabric, and are preferable because the brittleness peculiar to the resole resin can be improved by the shape effect (reduction of the moment of inertia of the cross section) caused by fine fibers.

Although there is no restriction | limiting in particular about the preferable manufacturing method of the sheet-like material of this invention, For example, when the following electrospinning (ESP) methods are used, a sheet-like material can be manufactured efficiently and it is preferable. In addition, the ESP method makes it possible to produce a paper-like material made of ultrafine fibers (in principle, continuous fibers) relatively easily. Therefore, the resole utilizes the flexibility of ultrafine fibers compared to film-like materials made by solution casting. The brittleness specific to the resin can be further improved.

Hereinafter, the ESP method will be described in detail. The ESP method is a process in which a high electric field of about 0.1 to 3 kV / cm is applied between a solution and a counter electrode and the solution is made to fly toward the counter electrode, as described in Patent Document 4 and the like. In this spinning method, ultrafine fibers are obtained by evaporating and stretching the solution, branching the solution, and the like, and collecting it as a paper-like material composed of the ultrafine fibers. In the present invention, an amine-based catalyst is used as a catalyst, and a polyvinyl butyral having a solution viscosity of 10 to 100 mPa · s is added to a resol resin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000 to 0.5 to 5 wt. %. When a fiber and / or sheet manufacturing method is used in which a solution composed of a blended material and a solvent is electrospun at an electric field of 0.1 to 3 kV / cm, a sheet-like material composed of a polymer mainly composed of a resole resin. Can be obtained efficiently.

In the solution comprising the blend of the present invention as a raw material and a solvent, it is preferable that the resol resin has a higher weight average molecular weight because the spinnability at the time of ESP and the flexibility of the obtained sheet-like material are improved. More specifically, it is important that the weight average molecular weight of the resol resin is 3,000 or more, and preferably 4,000 or more. As for the PVB blend ratio, a sufficient spinnability as ESP can be obtained by blending 0.5% by weight or more. However, it is preferable that the blend ratio is 1.5% by weight or more because generation of beads can be suppressed. In addition, a bead means the thing in which the droplet-like polymer pool is connected with the fiber as shown in FIG. 2 mentioned later, and may become a fault as ESP. Further, the fiber diameter tends to be small before and after the beads, and it is preferable to suppress the generation of beads from the viewpoint of improving the uniformity of the fiber diameter. In addition, as shown in FIG. 3 to be described later, an object in which droplet-like polymer reservoirs are not connected by fibers is called particulate, and at this time, the polymer is merely sprayed into droplets and is made into fibers. Therefore, the object of the present invention cannot be achieved. However, if the PVB blend ratio is excessive, the viscosity of the blend solution will increase significantly, and the fiber diameter of the resulting ultrafine fiber and its variation may increase, so it is important that the PVB blend ratio be 5% by weight or less. And is preferably 3% by weight or less.

At this time, as a method of discharging the solution as a raw material, a method using a nozzle is preferred, with emphasis on uniformity and stability. There is no particular limitation on the nozzle diameter, but if it is too thick, dripping of the excess solution tends to occur, and if it is too thin, nozzle clogging due to solvent evaporation tends to occur, so it is necessary to select an appropriate nozzle diameter depending on the type of solution and applied voltage There is. From these viewpoints, in the present invention, it is preferable to employ a nozzle diameter corresponding to 18 to 24 gauge syringe. It is also possible to apply a voltage directly to the solution without using a nozzle and draw out the solution. At this time, there is an advantage that the problem of nozzle clogging can be solved.

In addition, the applied electric field is an important process parameter because it directly pulls the polymer solution. If the applied electric field is too low, the solution cannot be drawn from the nozzle and ESP does not occur. On the other hand, if the applied electric field is too high, it is dangerous to discharge and it is important to select an appropriate electric field. In the present invention, it is important to be 0.1 to 3 kV / cm. Preferably it is 1-2 kV / cm. In addition, the stronger the applied electric field, the easier it is to obtain thin fibers in general, but there seems to be a balance between the spinnability of the polymer and the applied electric field, that is, the force pulling the polymer solution, and there is an electric field showing the minimum value of the fiber diameter. It may appear. In addition, if the electric field is too strong, variations in the fiber diameter obtained may increase.

The collecting device can be selected as appropriate in order to obtain a desired form such as not only a plate-like object but also a rotary roller, a conveyor net, and a rotating disk or a gap. For example, continuous production can be made possible by using a conveyor net, and the ultrafine fibers are oriented rather than a paper-like material in which ultrafine yarns are randomly collected by a collecting device provided with a rotating disk or a gap. It is also possible.

The material of the collecting device can be appropriately selected according to the use such as metal such as aluminum foil, release paper, filter paper, nonwoven fabric, woven or knitted fabric, and film. When obtaining a self-supporting sheet-like product of a blend, aluminum foil, release paper, or film is preferable.

Although there is no restriction | limiting in particular also about the distance of a nozzle and a collection apparatus, If it is too close, since evaporation of a solvent will be collected with imperfection, it will be hard to make it into a fiber form and it will be easy to become a bead form or a film form. On the other hand, if it is too far, a high voltage is required for the applied voltage, and safety considerations become excessive. These are closely related to the evaporation rate of the solvent and the discharge amount from the nozzle, but in the case of alcohol (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, etc.) or acetone with a relatively low boiling point and a relatively high vapor pressure, or a mixed solvent thereof. When the discharge amount is 0.01 to 0.20 cm 3 / min, the distance between the nozzle and the collection device is preferably in the range of 5 to 30 cm.

Although the atmospheric temperature and atmospheric humidity are also related to the evaporation of the solvent, the atmospheric temperature is preferably 5 to 40 ° C., and the atmospheric humidity is preferably 10 to 75% RH. Since a high voltage is used in the ESP method, the humidity is preferably 75% RH or less from the viewpoint of preventing leakage. On the other hand, the humidity is preferably 10% or more from the viewpoint of preventing the evaporation solvent from being ignited by static electricity. In any case, since a high voltage is used, it is important to ensure that the current is grounded and that a large resistance is incorporated so that almost no current flows.

It is important to use the aforementioned blend solution of the present invention as the raw material solution. At this time, the concentration of the resole resin with respect to the entire solution can improve the productivity in ESP, but the thinner one makes it difficult to clog the nozzles and lowers the viscosity, so that the fibers obtained can be made very fine. Moreover, since it is used as a solution, the thicker one has a restriction from the solubility. When alcohol is used as the solvent for the resole resin, the content is preferably 25 to 40% by weight. In addition, when using alcohol with respect to a resole resin, when it becomes a density | concentration lower than a certain critical concentration, solubility may fall conversely, It is preferable to select a density | concentration carefully. Further, when blending a polymer mainly composed of a resole resin and PVB, it is preferable to prepare respective solutions and mix the solutions because they are easier to dissolve and blend. Further, when PVB is added to a solvent in a large amount at once, PVB may be in a gel-like state that only swells and may not dissolve, so it is preferable to add PVB little by little to the solvent and dissolve. Further, as the solution viscosity of the raw material, a relatively low viscosity tends to have better spinnability and the fiber diameter tends to be thinner, but if the viscosity is too low, the spinnability may be lost. Specifically, it is preferably 7 to 50 mPa · s, more preferably 9 to 20 mPa · s.

Reference Example 1 (Synthesis of resole resin)
To a reaction vessel equipped with a stirrer, a reflux condenser, and a thermometer, 1000 parts of phenol, 1550 parts of formalin with a concentration of 37%, and 32 parts of ammonia water with a concentration of 27% were added and reacted at 80 ° C. for 1 hour. Thereafter, while dehydrating under a vacuum of 650 mmHg, when the temperature in the system reached 70 ° C., 480 parts of methanol was added and aging was performed, followed by cooling to obtain a resol resin. When the weight average molecular weight of this was measured by GPC, it was 4800, and the residual formaldehyde was 0.4%.

Reference Example 2 (Resol resin synthesis)
Resole resin was obtained in the same manner as in Reference Example 1 by changing the aging time. This had a weight average molecular weight of 2,800 and a residual formaldehyde content of 1.1%.

Examples 1-9
A product obtained by dissolving a resol resin having a weight average molecular weight of 4500 synthesized in Reference Example 1 in methanol and a product obtained by dissolving PVB (Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., ESREC B: BH-3) having a solution viscosity of 65 mPa · s in methanol. Blending was performed to prepare a solution having a resol resin concentration of 29 wt% and a desired PVB concentration with respect to the sum of the resole resin and PVB. The calculated molecular weight of PVB used here was 110,000, and the degree of butyralization was 65 mol%.

This was subjected to ESP at an atmospheric temperature of 18 ° C. and an atmospheric humidity of 40% RH using an ESP apparatus manufactured by Kato Tech. At this time, a 21-gauge syringe (the tip was cut) was used as the nozzle, and a collection device was used in which release paper was attached to a rotating roller having a diameter of 10 cm and a width of 15 cm. The rotating roller was rotated at 66 rpm, and the discharge rate was 0.05 cm 3 / min. And when ESP was performed by changing the conditions as shown in Table 1, all became uniform sheets in which the polymer was uniformly deposited on the release paper. Furthermore, they can be easily peeled off from the release paper, can be made into a self-supporting sheet, can be folded, and the brittleness inherent in the resole resin has been considerably improved. Moreover, when SEM observation of these surfaces was carried out, it turned out that all have formed the ultrafine fiber and the spinnability improved greatly (FIG. 1 shows the observation result in Example 4, FIG. 2 shows Example 1). The observation results are shown respectively). However, in Examples 1 and 3 where the PVB blend ratio was low, beads were scattered as shown in FIG. 2, but in Examples 4 to 7 where the PVB blend ratio was high, beads were not observed at all as shown in FIG. However, the higher the PVB blend ratio, the better the spinnability. However, as in Example 2, beads may not be observed even when the PVB blend ratio is low. In Example 1, since the electric field is weak with respect to the spinnability of the polymer, electrospinning becomes unstable. In addition, although the electric field was too strong for the spinnability of the polymer, electrospinning became unstable, but in Example 2, there was a possibility that the electric field was suitable for the spinnability of the polymer. Moreover, even if the PVB blend ratio was low, the solvent was completely evaporated by increasing the distance between the nozzle and the collection device as in Example 8, and the generation of beads could be suppressed. On the other hand, when the PVB blend ratio is increased, beads are not observed and the spinnability is improved, but the solution viscosity of the raw material is increased and the polymer is difficult to be stretched, so that the fiber diameter tends to increase. In Examples 6 and 7 where the PVB blend ratio is high, the fiber diameter variation also increased, which may be because the electric field is too strong for the spinnability of the polymer.

Comparative Examples 1-3
A methanol solution with a concentration of 29 wt% was prepared without blending PVB with the resole resin synthesized in Reference Example 1. ESP was carried out in the same manner as in Example 1 under the conditions described in Table 1, but the polymer was sprayed on the collecting device and the sheet was not formed. The mottled pattern was slightly improved when the electric field was increased, but it did not become a uniform sheet as in the examples. Further, these surfaces were observed with an SEM, but all of them were in the form of particles in which fiberization itself was impossible and the solvent was only evaporated from the droplets (the observation result in Comparative Example 1 is shown in FIG. 2). Furthermore, these ESP resole resins were not peeled off from the release paper and could not be self-supporting.

Comparative Example 4
ESP was carried out in the same manner as in Comparative Example 1 with a mixed solvent of methanol / acetone = 1 / 3.8 (volume ratio) and a resol resin concentration of 19 wt%, but the polymer was only sprayed mottled on the collection device. It did not become a sheet. The mottled pattern was slightly improved when the electric field was increased, but it did not become a uniform sheet as in the examples. Further, these surfaces were observed with an SEM, but it was in the form of particles in which fiberization itself was impossible and the solvent was only evaporated from the droplets. Further, the ESP resole resin was not peeled off from the release paper and could not be self-supported.

Example 10
When ESP was performed in the same manner as in Example 1 with a discharge amount of 0.02 cm 3 / min, the polymer was sprayed uniformly on the release paper to form a uniform sheet. The fiber diameter of this was 0.7 to 2.3 μm, and generation of beads was not observed. Furthermore, it can be easily peeled off from the release paper, can be a self-supporting sheet, can be folded, and the resilience characteristic of the resole resin is considerably improved. In addition, when these surfaces were observed with an SEM, it was found that in all cases, ultrafine fibers were formed and the spinnability was greatly improved.
