Then, after receiving the instruction information by the receiving means, the reception of the video and the output of the video are stopped. On the other hand, the display device displays the image stored in the storage unit when the instruction information output by the output unit is received.

Then, when the instruction information is received by the receiving unit, the video output device outputs a switching signal for switching the recording device in the on state to the standby state to the recording device.
In the present invention, the video output device receives information related to the size of an image and outputs the received size to a display device.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an outline of a display system. The display system includes a
The
本実施の形態においては、通信線4はHDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface:登録商標)規格に基づくHDMIケーブル4を用いる例を説明するがこれに限るものではない。
The
液晶ディスプレイ2の正面底部にはLED(Light-Emitting Diode)22が正面を望んで配置されている。
The
In the following description, it is assumed that the
The outline of the display system will be described below. When the picture key 332 is operated while the
The
Even when the picture key 332 is operated while the
FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the hardware configuration of the
First, the
The receiving
When the picture key 332 is operated, operation data as instruction information for displaying the image data stored in the
チューナ1はMPEG(Moving Pictures Experts Group)−2等のプロトコルにより伝送されるデジタル放送に係るデータストリームを受信する。
The first control unit 11 is connected to the
The
Next, the
The
The receiving
画像データファイル251にはJPEG(Joint Photographic Experts Group)等の形式による画像データが記憶されている。
The
The

FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing a record layout of the
In contrast,
For example,

When the control unit 91 receives the second operation data via the receiving unit 96, the control unit 91 refers to the mode file 951 and turns on the LED lamp 9 again at the maximum intensity. If control unit 91 determines that the predetermined time has not elapsed (NO in step S158), the process returns to step S156. On the other hand, when it is determined that the predetermined time has passed (YES in step S158), the control unit 91 performs control to further reduce the LED intensity (step S159). Specifically, the control unit 91 stores a coefficient (for example, 0.8) in the memory, and multiplies the LED intensity read in step S155. Thereby, with the passage of time, the illuminance of the LED lamp 9 gradually decreases, and further power saving can be achieved.
After the process of step S159, the process returns to step S157 again. In step S157, when the control unit 91 determines that the second operation data has been received via the receiving unit 96 (YES in step S157), the LED intensity related to the maximum intensity is read from the mode file 951 (step S161). The controller 91 controls the LED lamp 9 with the read LED intensity (step S162). As a result, the user can view the television in a bright environment without any particular intention when viewing the television.

The

The fifth embodiment relates to a process for selecting image data to be displayed. FIG. 21 is a block diagram showing a hardware configuration of the
The
The user operates a cursor 248 for specifying image data desired to be selected based on the
In the image file name field, a file name of image data is stored in association with the image ID. In the image data field, image data in JPEG format is stored in association with the image ID, and similarly, thumbnail data that is a reduced image of each image data is stored in the thumbnail data field. In the display position field, coordinate values, which are position information when displaying the thumbnail S of each image data on the selection screen, are stored. In the example of FIG. 22, the upper left of the

The
When the check is described in the check box c and the second command is further received, the
In the above hardware configuration, image data selection processing will be described using a flowchart. 24 to 27 are flowcharts showing the procedure of image data selection processing. The
The
The
The
The

The
The fifth embodiment has the above-described configuration, and the other configurations and operations are the same as those of the first to fourth embodiments.

For example, during the size, the image data is displayed using 1366 pixels in the horizontal direction and 768 pixels in the vertical direction among all the pixels 1920 × 1080 of the
In the example of FIG. 35, 2 hours are input. In the display time input box 263 per sheet, a time for displaying one image data is input. When the time input to the display time input box 263 per sheet has elapsed, the next image is output to the
