The motor cooling circulation system 34 includes an oil cooler 35 that is disposed in front of the vehicle and cools oil by heat exchange with outside air, an oil circulation path 36 that circulates oil between the oil cooler 35 and the motor 22, and the motor 22. And an oil pump 37 for pressure-feeding the oil to the oil cooler 35 side. Note that the drive of the oil pump 37 is controlled by the electronic control unit 40.

The motor temperature meter 60 is composed of a liquid crystal panel, and is configured as an indicating instrument that displays the current motor temperature tm so as to be visible by indicating an information display unit 62 related to the temperature of the motor 22 with a pointer 64. It is installed at a position where the driver in the vicinity of the seat can see. The pointer 64 is rotationally driven by an actuator (not shown) controlled by the electronic control unit 40.

The electronic control unit 40 is configured as a microprocessor centered on the CPU 42, and includes a ROM 44 for storing a processing program, a RAM 46 for temporarily storing data, and an input / output port (not shown) in addition to the CPU 42. The electronic control unit 40 includes a signal from a rotational position detection sensor 22 a that detects the rotational position of the motor 22, a phase current applied to the motor 22 detected by a current sensor (not shown), and a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the motor 22. The motor temperature tm from 22b, the battery temperature from the temperature sensor 26a that detects the temperature of the battery 26, the ignition signal from the ignition switch 50, the shift position SP from the shift position sensor 52 that detects the operating position of the shift lever 51, and the accelerator Accelerator opening degree Acc from the accelerator pedal position sensor 54 that detects the amount of depression of the pedal 53, brake pedal position BP from the brake pedal position sensor 56 that detects the amount of depression of the brake pedal 55, vehicle speed V from the vehicle speed sensor 58, Such as outside air temperature tout from air temperature sensor 59 is input through the input port. The electronic control unit 40 drives a switching control signal to the switching element of the inverter 24 for driving and controlling the motor 22, a display signal to the information display unit 62 of the motor temperature meter 60, and a pointer 64 of the motor temperature meter 60. A drive signal for an actuator (not shown), a drive signal for driving and controlling the oil pump 37, and the like are output via an output port. The electronic control unit 40 calculates the rotational speed Nm of the motor 22 based on the rotational position of the rotor of the motor 22 detected by the rotational position detection sensor 22a.

In the electric vehicle 20 of the embodiment thus configured, the required torque to be output to the drive shaft is calculated based on the accelerator opening Acc and the vehicle speed V corresponding to the depression amount of the accelerator pedal 53 by the driver, and this required torque. The motor 22 is driven and controlled so that the required power corresponding to is output to the drive shaft.

Next, the operation of the electric vehicle 20 of the embodiment configured as described above, particularly the operation when displaying the motor temperature tm on the motor temperature meter 60 will be described. First, a drive control routine of the motor 22 will be described, and subsequently, display control of the motor temperature meter 60 will be described. FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing an example of a drive control routine executed by the electronic control unit 40. This routine is repeatedly executed every predetermined time (for example, every several msec).

When the drive control routine is executed, the CPU 42 of the electronic control unit 40 performs a process of inputting the accelerator opening Acc from the accelerator pedal position sensor 54, the vehicle speed V from the vehicle speed sensor 58, and the motor temperature tm from the temperature sensor 22b. This is executed (step S100), and the required torque Td * to be output to the drive shaft 32 is set as the torque required for the vehicle based on the input accelerator opening Acc and the vehicle speed V (step S110). Here, in the embodiment, the required torque Td * is stored in the ROM 44 as a required torque setting map by predetermining the relationship among the accelerator opening Acc, the vehicle speed V, and the required torque Tr *. When the vehicle speed V is given, the corresponding required torque Td * is derived from the stored map and set. FIG. 3 shows an example of the required torque setting map.

When the required torque Td * is set in this way, a limiting rate k is set as a ratio for limiting the rated maximum torque Tmax of the motor 22 based on the motor temperature tm (step S120), and the required torque Td * and the rated maximum torque Tmax are set. Is set as a torque command Tm * (step S130), and switching control of the switching element of the inverter 24 is performed so that the motor 22 is driven by the torque command Tm * (step S130). Subsequently, a drive command To * for the oil pump 37 is set based on the motor temperature tm so that the amount of oil discharged from the motor cooling circulation system 34 increases as the motor temperature tm increases (step S150). The oil pump 37 is driven so that the oil pump 37 is driven by the set drive command To *. And your (step S160), and ends the present routine. FIG. 4 shows an example of the relationship between the motor temperature tm and the limiting rate k. As shown in the figure, the limit rate k is set at the drive limit start temperature t1 (for example, 155 ° C., 160 ° C., 165 ° C., etc.) as the temperature of the motor 22 at which the motor temperature tm starts the drive limit based on the motor temperature tm. In the example, when the temperature is less than 160 ° C., the value 1 is set. When the motor temperature tm exceeds the drive limit start threshold value t1, the motor temperature tm gradually decreases from the value 1 as the motor temperature tm increases. Is lower than the drive stop temperature t2 (for example, 175 ° C., 180 ° C., 185 ° C., etc., 180 ° C. in the embodiment) as the lower limit value of the temperature at which it can be determined that the drive of the motor 22 should be stopped. The value was set to 0 when By such control, when the motor temperature tm is lower than the drive restriction start temperature t1, the vehicle 22 can travel while outputting the required torque Td * from the motor 22. When the motor temperature tm is equal to or higher than the drive restriction start temperature t1, the motor 22 can travel while outputting torque within a drive restriction range based on the motor temperature tm. The drive control routine has been described above.

Next, the display control routine will be described. FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing an example of a display control routine executed by the electronic control unit 40 in parallel with the drive control routine. This routine is repeatedly executed at predetermined time intervals (for example, every several milliseconds) in parallel with the drive control routine illustrated in FIG.

When the display control routine is executed, the CPU 42 of the electronic control unit 40 detects the rotational speed Nm of the motor 22, the torque command Tm * of the motor 22, the motor temperature tm from the temperature sensor 22b, the vehicle speed V from the vehicle speed sensor 58, the outside. A process of inputting data necessary for control, such as the outside temperature tout from the temperature sensor 60 and the oil pump drive command To *, is executed (step S200). Here, the rotation speed Nm of the motor 22 is calculated based on the rotation position of the rotor of the motor 22 detected by the rotation position detection sensor 22a. The torque command Tm * for the motor 22 and the drive command To * for the oil pump are those set in the drive control routine illustrated in FIG.

When the data is input in this way, the heat generation amount (loss) CV of the motor 22 is calculated based on the input rotation speed Nm of the motor 22 and the torque command Tm * (step S210). Here, as the heat generation amount CV, the relationship between the rotation speed Nm of the motor 22, the torque command Tm *, and the heat generation amount CV is determined in advance and stored in the ROM 44 as a heat generation amount setting map, and the rotation speed Nm and the torque command Tm are stored. When * is given, the stored calorific value CV is derived and set, and is set so as to increase as the rotational speed Nm increases and to increase as the torque command Tm * increases. The reason for setting in this way is considered that the heat generation of the motor 22 is mainly caused by copper loss and iron loss. The larger the torque command Tm * and the larger the current flowing through the coil of the motor 22, the greater the copper loss and the rotation. This is based on the fact that the iron loss increases as the number Nm increases.

Subsequently, the heat release amount (cooling amount) RH of the motor 22 is calculated by the following equation (1) based on the outside air temperature tout, the vehicle speed V, and the drive command To * of the oil pump 37 (step S220). In equation (1), the conversion coefficient C1 is for converting the cooling amount of the motor 22 by the outside air from the outside air temperature tout, and the conversion coefficient C2 is for converting the cooling amount of the motor 22 by the traveling wind from the vehicle speed V. The conversion coefficient C3 is used to convert the cooling amount of the motor 22 by the motor cooling circulation system 34 from the drive command To * of the oil pump 37, and the conversion coefficients C1, C2, and C3 are respectively tested in advance. The value determined by is used.

RH=C1・tout+C2・V+C3・To*・・・(1)   RH = C1 ・ tout + C2 ・ V + C3 ・ To * ・ ・ ・ (1)

When the heat dissipation amount RH of the motor 22 is calculated in this way, a value obtained by subtracting the heat dissipation amount RH from the heat generation amount CV is set as the heat balance EB of the motor 22 (step S230), and the temperature tm rapidly increases the set heat balance EB. A predetermined value Eref as a lower limit value of the heat quantity to be started is compared (step S240). When the heat balance EB is less than the predetermined value Eref, a display signal is transmitted to the motor temperature meter 60 so that the letters “motor heat balance” and the calculated heat balance EB are displayed on the information display unit 62 in blue (step S240, S250), when the heat balance EB is equal to or greater than the predetermined value Eref, the display of a display signal to the motor temperature meter 60 so that the letters “motor heat balance” and the calculated heat balance EB are displayed in red on the information display section 62 (Steps S240 and S260), “C” indicating the minimum value and the maximum value of the motor temperature tm that can be displayed on the temperature range display bar indicating the range of the motor temperature tm that can be displayed and the temperature range display bar, respectively. The letter “H” indicates the drive limit start temperature t1 (160 ° C.) at which the limit rate k starts to decrease from the value 1 and starts limiting the rated maximum torque of the motor 22. The line and the characters “160 ° C.”, the instruction line indicating the drive stop temperature t2 (180 ° C.) at which the limiting rate k is 0, and the characters “180 ° C.” are displayed on the information display unit 62 of the motor temperature meter 60. A display signal is transmitted (step S270), the pointer 64 is driven and controlled so that the pointer 64 indicates a position corresponding to the input motor temperature tm of the range display section (step S280), and this routine is terminated. FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram illustrating an example of display on the information display unit of the motor temperature meter 60. In the figure, a bar 66 indicates a temperature range display bar, and lines L1 and L2 indicate a drive restriction start temperature t1 (160 ° C.) and a drive stop temperature t2 (180 ° C.), respectively. Thus, since the heat balance EB is displayed on the motor temperature meter 60 together with the current motor temperature tm, the drive restriction start temperature t1, and the drive stop temperature t2, to the driver who has seen such display before the motor temperature tm reaches a high temperature. By adjusting the amount of operation of the accelerator pedal 55, it is possible to prompt an operation such that the heat balance EB is reduced, and an increase in the temperature of the motor 22 can be suppressed.

According to the electric vehicle 20 of the embodiment described above, when the motor temperature tm is lower than the drive limit start temperature t1, the vehicle travels while outputting the required torque Td * from the motor 22, and the motor temperature tm is equal to or higher than the drive limit start temperature t1. In this case, the motor 22 can travel while outputting a torque within a drive restriction range based on the motor temperature tm. Then, the heat balance EB of the motor 22 is calculated based on the rotational speed Nm of the motor 22, the torque command Tm *, etc., and the motor temperature tm, the drive limit start temperature t1, the drive stop temperature t2, and the heat balance EB are calculated. Display on meter 60. Thereby, before the motor temperature tm reaches a high temperature, the driver can be urged to perform an operation that suppresses the increase in the temperature of the motor 22, and the increase in the temperature of the motor 22 can be suppressed. Further, since the value of the heat balance EB is displayed in different colors when the heat balance EB is less than the predetermined value Eref and when the heat balance EB is equal to or greater than the predetermined value Eref, the heat balance EB is equal to or greater than the predetermined value Eref. This can be displayed with good visibility, and the driver can be urged to appropriately drive the temperature of the motor 22 so that the temperature of the motor 22 can be prevented from rising.

In the electric vehicle 20 of the embodiment, the value of the heat balance EB is displayed in different colors when the heat balance EB is less than the predetermined value Eref and when the heat balance EB is greater than or equal to the predetermined Eref value. The line L2 indicating “180 ° C.” is displayed on the information display unit 62 of the motor temperature meter 60. However, these lines L1, L2, etc. are preliminarily printed on the information display unit 62. Also good. Further, the line L2 indicating the drive stop temperature t2 at which the limiting rate k is 0 may not be displayed.

In the electric vehicle 20 of the embodiment, the pointer 64 is rotationally driven by an actuator (not shown), but an image of the pointer 64 may be displayed on the information display unit 62. In the embodiment, the motor 22 corresponds to the “electric motor”, the temperature sensor 22b corresponds to the “motor temperature detecting means”, and the motor 22 outputs the required torque Td * when the motor temperature tm is lower than the drive restriction start temperature t1. The motor 22 is controlled so that when the motor temperature tm is equal to or higher than the drive restriction start temperature t1, the motor 22 is controlled so that torque within the drive restriction range based on the motor temperature tm is output from the motor 22 in FIG. The electronic control unit 40 that executes the processing of steps S100 to S140 of the drive control routine corresponds to “control means”, and calculates the heat balance EB of the motor 22 based on the motor speed Nm, the torque command Tm *, and the like. The electronic control unit 40 that executes the processing of steps S210 to S230 of the display control routine of FIG. Step S240 of the display control routine of FIG. 5 for transmitting a display signal for displaying the calculated heat balance EB, motor temperature tm, drive limit start temperature t1, and drive stop temperature t2 to the motor temperature meter 60. The electronic control unit 40 that executes the processing of S280 and the motor temperature meter 60 that executes display based on such display signals correspond to “display means”. The motor cooling circulation system 34 corresponds to “electric motor cooling means”. When the heat balance EB is less than the predetermined value Eref, the heat balance EB is displayed in blue, and when the heat balance EB is greater than or equal to the predetermined value Eref, a display signal is displayed on the motor temperature meter 60 so that the heat balance EB is displayed in red. The electronic control unit 40 that performs the processing of steps S240 to S260 of the display control routine of FIG. 5 to be transmitted and the motor temperature meter 60 that performs display based on such display signals also correspond to “display means”. Further, a value obtained by setting the required torque Tr * based on the accelerator opening Acc and the vehicle speed V and limiting the required torque Tr * by the load factor limitation based on the motor temperature tm is set as the torque command Tm * of the motor 22. The electronic control unit 40 that executes steps S100 to S140 of the drive control routine of FIG. 3 for controlling the motor 22 so that the motor 22 is driven by the torque command Tm * also corresponds to “control means”. Then, the calorific value CV of the motor 22 is calculated based on the rotational speed Nm of the motor 22 and the torque command Tm *, and the motor 22 is released based on the vehicle speed V, the outside air temperature tout, and the drive command To * of the oil pump 37. Step of the display control routine of FIG. 5 for executing the processing of steps S210 to S230 of the display control routine of FIG. 5 for calculating the heat amount RH and subtracting the heat release amount RH from the calculated calorific value CV to calculate the heat balance EB The electronic control unit 40 that executes the processes of S210 to S230 also corresponds to “heat balance calculating means”. Here, the “motor” is not limited to the motor MG2 configured as a synchronous generator motor, and may be any type of motor that can output power for traveling, such as an induction motor. I do not care. The “motor temperature detection means” is not limited to the temperature sensor 22b, and any device that detects the temperature of the motor may be used. As the “control means”, when the motor temperature tm is lower than the drive limit start temperature t1, the motor 22 is controlled so that the required torque Td * is output from the motor 22, and the motor temperature tm is equal to or higher than the drive limit start temperature t1. In some cases, the motor 22 is not limited to controlling the motor 22 so that a torque within the range of the drive restriction based on the motor temperature tm is output from the motor 22, and the temperature of the motor detected by the motor temperature detecting means is less than a predetermined temperature. The motor is controlled so as to travel by outputting a driving force based on the operation of the driver from the motor. When the temperature of the motor detected by the motor temperature detecting means is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the detected temperature of the motor is set. The motor is controlled so that it travels by outputting the driving force based on the operation of the driver from the motor within the range of the drive restriction based on As long as it may be used as any thing. The “heat balance calculating means” is not limited to the one that calculates the heat balance EB of the motor 22 based on the rotational speed Nm of the motor, the torque command Tm *, or the like, but based on the driving state of the motor. Anything can be used as long as it can calculate the heat balance. The “display means” is not limited to the one that displays the calculated heat balance EB, motor temperature tm, drive limit start temperature t1, and drive stop temperature t2, but includes the motor temperature detected by the motor temperature detection means. Any device may be used as long as the temperature, the predetermined temperature, and the calculated heat balance of the electric motor are displayed in the vicinity of the driver's seat of the vehicle. The correspondence between the main elements of the embodiment and the main elements of the invention described in the column of means for solving the problems is the same as that of the embodiment described in the column of means for solving the problems. It is an example for specifically explaining the best mode for doing so, and does not limit the elements of the invention described in the column of means for solving the problems.
