Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical touch panel, and more particularly to a slit disposed in front of a light receiving element and a light emitting element, respectively.
In an optical touch panel that optically detects a touch operation position, a plurality of optical paths are configured in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction of the operation surface on the touch-operated operation surface, and depending on the blocking state of these optical path groups. The operation position is detected, and the light emitting element and the light receiving element are arranged facing each other in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction with the operation surface interposed therebetween.
In this type of optical touch panel, for example, the light emitted radially from the light emitting element is collected, and the incident light is incident on the light receiving side so as to be incident on the opposite light receiving element as parallel light. In order to condense on the light receiving element, a condensing lens is disposed in front of the light emitting element or the light receiving element (for example, see Patent Document 1). In addition, on the light receiving side, a light shielding slit is arranged in front of the light receiving element so that disturbance light from other than the opposing light emitting element is not incident (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
However, in the configuration in which the lens is arranged in front of the light emitting element and the light receiving element in order to collect the light, the lens itself is expensive in terms of the material used and processing accuracy, and accordingly, the optical touch panel is expensive. There is a problem of becoming.
On the other hand, as described in, for example, Patent Document 3, a configuration in which a through-hole having a constant diameter (size) is provided in front of the light emitting element is inexpensive because the lens is not used. There is a problem that it is impossible to achieve both usage efficiency and directivity.
That is, in order to improve the directivity (straightness) of light, the reflectance of the inner surface of the through hole is lowered, and only the light traveling toward the light receiving element (such as going straight through the through hole) passes through the through hole and is emitted. Although it is preferable to do so, the utilization efficiency of the light emitted from the light emitting element is deteriorated.
On the other hand, in order to increase the light utilization efficiency, for example, even if the reflectivity of the inner surface of the through hole is increased and the reflected light from the inner surface is also used, the light reflected from the inner surface of the through hole will diverge. After all, it cannot be used as effective light.
This is because when a through-hole having a constant diameter (size) is provided in front of the light-receiving element or a light-shielding slit having a gap having a fixed size in the optical axis direction as described in
In view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is a slit disposed in front of each of the light receiving element and the light emitting element, which can be configured at low cost and enhances the utilization efficiency of light emitted from the light emitting element. It is possible to provide a slit for an optical touch panel that can obtain high directivity.

According to the slit according to the present invention, the utilization efficiency of light emitted from the light emitting element can be increased, and high directivity can be obtained. Further, disturbance light can be well blocked on the light receiving side. Furthermore, it can be constructed at a very low cost as compared with the conventional one using an expensive lens for condensing light.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a configuration of an embodiment of a slit for an optical touch panel according to the present invention together with a light receiving element and a light emitting element. The
The
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
<発光側>

Next, with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4, a description will be given of the progress of light when the
<Light emission side>
When the
<受光側>
On the other hand, when the

When the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3B, even when the
On the other hand, FIGS. 4A and 4B show an example of the progression of the
As described above, according to the
(1) By making the light emitted from the
(2) By disposing the
(3) From (1) and (2), the arrangement pitch of the
(4) In a conventional optical touch panel, in order not to be affected by elements other than elements facing each other (light emitting element / light receiving element), the light emission of the arranged light emitting elements is scanned, and the light receiving elements are placed one by one. There is a method that uses processing such as enabling (for example, refer to Patent Document 3), but such processing is unnecessary from (1) and (2), and the circuit configuration is simplified accordingly. Can do.
(5) The light use efficiency of the
