Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle detector which effectively prevents penetration of water vapor of the outside air and water into an apparatus and thus can prevent corrosion.
SOLUTION: A breather 3 is provided on a case 2 of the angle detector 1. The breather 3 has a structure which lets gas pass through, but not the water pass through, and therefore it does not let the water vapor and the water penetrate into the angle detector 1. The position where the breather 3 is to be provided is not limited particularly, on condition that it is provided on the case. A film made of porous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) can be used as the breather 3.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to an angle detector, and more particularly to an angle detector that can effectively prevent moisture and water vapor in the outside air from entering the apparatus.

An angle detector such as a resolver is used in a wide range of industrial fields. For example, when used in a vehicle or other transportation machinery, a highly accurate detection function is required even in an environment with a large temperature change.

On the other hand, conventionally, in a vehicle gear box, a throttle valve control device, and the like, a technique for providing a breather for the purpose of separating contaminants and moisture in the atmosphere has already been disclosed (Patent Document).

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Publication No. 2003-269583 “Breaser Structure of Vehicle Gearbox” 特開平06−129267号公報「スロットル弁制御装置」Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 06-129267 “Throttle Valve Control Device”

Now, when the angle detector is used in an environment where the temperature change is large as described above, so-called breathing action occurs in which the outside air enters into the detector, and the water vapor in the outside air naturally enters at this time. The humidity eventually enters the detector. Such an increase in humidity and the intrusion of water vapor cause corrosion, and the problem is particularly serious in angle detectors that require high accuracy.

Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an angle detector that can effectively prevent the entry of water vapor and moisture in the outside air into the apparatus.

As a result of studying the above problems, the inventor of the present application has found that the above problems can be solved by using a breather, and has reached the present invention. That is, the invention claimed in the present application, or at least the disclosed invention, as means for solving the above-described problems is as follows.

(1) An angle detector characterized in that a breather is provided in a housing.
(2) The angle detector according to (1), wherein the breather is a porous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) film.

Since the angle detector of the present invention has such a configuration, it is possible to effectively prevent the intrusion of water vapor and moisture into the inside and the increase in humidity, thereby preventing corrosion.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a configuration of an angle detector with a breather according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, the main angle detector 1 is mainly provided with a breather 3 in its casing 2.

Since the breather 3 has a structure that allows gas to pass but does not allow moisture to pass therethrough, even if a breathing action occurs, the breather 3 does not allow water vapor or moisture to enter the angle detector 1. Therefore, internal corrosion is effectively prevented.

In the figure, the position where the breather 3 is provided is close to the axial center of the side surface of the housing, but is not particularly limited as long as it is on the housing.

As the breather 3, a porous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) film can be used. For example, Gore-Tex (registered trademark) is an example that can be suitably used.

According to the angle detector of the present invention, it is possible to effectively prevent the intrusion of water vapor or moisture into the inside and the increase in humidity and to prevent the occurrence of corrosion. Therefore, the invention is highly effective in maintaining the performance of angle detectors that require high accuracy such as resolvers, and is highly useful in related industrial fields.

It is sectional drawing which shows the structure of the angle detector with a breather of this invention.
