Abstract
Description
本出願は、2005年6月27日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/694,447号及び2006年5月3日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/746,298号の優先権を主張し、それらの全体が本明細書に記載されているものとみなす。
本発明は、マイクロニードルアレイ適用装置及びマイクロニードルアレイを適用する方法に関する。
Claims (42)
- マイクロニードルアレイを適用する適用装置であって、
目標部位に配置可能な開口部を画定する肌当て面を有するハウジング、及び
前記マイクロニードルアレイに衝突して前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記目標部位に向かって加速させる衝突体を備え、
前記衝突体が、実質的に弓状の経路に沿って移動して、前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記目標部位に向かって移動させることができる、適用装置。 - 前記ハウジングの前記肌当て面に沿いかつ該肌当て面から間隔を空けて、前記開口部に隣接して配置された第1の保持具を更に備える、請求項1に記載の適用装置。
- 前記第1の保持具が剥離面を有する、請求項2に記載の適用装置。
- 前記剥離面が前記ハウジングに面する、請求項3に記載の適用装置。
- 前記第1の保持具が該第1の保持具の上に塗布された剥離コーティングを有する、請求項2から4のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記肌当て面に沿いかつ該肌当て面からの間隔を空けて、前記開口部に隣接して配置された第2の保持具を更に備える、請求項2〜5のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記肌当て面に沿った窪みを更に備え、前記開口部が前記窪みの中に配置された、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 操作者が前記衝突体を前記実質的に弓状の経路に沿って手動で配置できるようにするための、前記衝突体に接続された作動突出部を更に備える、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記開口部が、該開口部をマイクロニードルアレイが通るための通路より広い部分を包含する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記目標部位に向かう前記マイクロニードルアレイの加速度が調節可能である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記マイクロニードルアレイが、少なくとも部分的に弓状の経路に沿って前記目標部位に向かって移動する、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記衝突体を前記ハウジングに対して付勢する駆動部材を更に備える、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記駆動部材が、前記ハウジングに取り付けられた固定端部から可動端部まで延びる長さ部分を有し、前記駆動部材が前記長さ部分に沿って屈曲可能であり、前記駆動部材の前記可動端部が、前記マイクロニードルアレイに接触して該マイクロニードルアレイを推進させることができるように構成される、請求項12に記載の適用装置。
- 前記駆動部材の前記可動端部が前記衝突体として作用する、請求項13に記載の適用装置。
- マイクロニードルアレイを適用する適用装置であって、
開口部を備えた表面接触面を有するハウジング、及び、
前記ハウジングに取り付けられた固定端部から可動端部まで延びる長さ部分を有するとともに該長さ部分に沿って屈曲可能な駆動部材を有し、前記可動端部が、前記マイクロニードルアレイに接触しそれを推進させることができるように構成される、適用装置。 - 前記駆動部材の前記可動端部を、前記ハウジングの肌当て面から離して保持する保持機構を更に備える、請求項13又は15に記載の適用装置。
- 前記駆動部材の前記可動端部を前記保持機構から解放するトリガーを更に備える、請求項16に記載の適用装置。
- 前記駆動部材が板ばねを備える、請求項13〜17のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記マイクロニードルアレイが前記駆動部材の前記可動端部に固着された、請求項13〜18のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記マイクロニードルアレイが前記駆動部材の前記可動端部に解放可能に固着された、請求項19に記載の適用装置。
- 前記衝突体を前記ハウジングに対して付勢するねじりばねを更に備える、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 第1の位置及び第2の位置が前記実質的に弓状の経路に沿って規定され、前記衝突体が前記第1の位置に対して位置付けられたときに前記ねじりばねに保存されるポテンシャルエネルギーが、前記衝突体が前記第2の位置に対して位置付けられたときとは異なる、請求項21に記載の適用装置。
- マイクロニードルアレイを適用する適用装置であって、
目標部位に配置可能な開口部を画定する肌当て面を有するハウジング、
前記ハウジングによって旋回可能に支持された、衝突部分を有する衝突体であって、前記衝突部分が、実質的に弓状の経路に沿って第1の位置と第2の位置との間を移動可能な衝突体、及び
前記衝突体を前記ハウジングに対して付勢するねじりばねを備える、適用装置。 - 前記ハウジングの前記肌当て面に沿いかつ該肌当て面から間隔を空けて、前記開口部に隣接して配置された第1の保持具を更に備える、請求項23に記載の適用装置。
- 前記第1の保持具が剥離面を有する、請求項24に記載の適用装置。
- 前記剥離面が前記ハウジングに面する、請求項25に記載の適用装置。
- 前記第1の保持具が該第1の保持具の上に塗布された剥離コーティングを有する、請求項24〜26のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記肌当て面に沿いかつ該肌当て面から間隔を空けて、前記開口部に隣接して配置された第2の保持具を更に備える、請求項24〜27のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記肌当て面に沿った窪みを更に備え、前記開口部が前記窪みの中に配置された、請求項23〜28のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 操作者が前記衝突体を前記実質的に弓状の経路に沿って手動で配置できるようにするための、前記衝突体に接続された作動突出部を更に備える、請求項23〜29のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記開口部が、該開口部を前記マイクロニードルアレイが通るための通路より広い部分を包含する、請求項23〜30のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記第1の位置及び前記第2の位置が前記実質的に弓状の経路に沿って規定され、前記衝突体が前記第1の位置に対して位置付けられたときに前記ねじりばねに保存されるポテンシャルエネルギーが、前記衝突体が前記第2の位置に対して位置付けられたときとは異なる、請求項23〜31のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記目標部位に向かう前記マイクロニードルアレイの加速度が調節可能である、請求項23〜32のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記マイクロニードルアレイが、少なくとも部分的に弓状の経路に沿って前記目標部位に向かって動く、請求項23〜33のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- 前記衝突体の質量が約0.4グラムから約2グラムの間である、請求項1〜34のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- マイクロニードル適用装置であって、
肌当て面を有するハウジング、
底部分を有し、前記ハウジングの前記肌当て面に沿って画定された窪み、
前記窪みの前記底部分内に画定された、目標部位の上に配置可能な開口部、及び
前記窪みの前記底部分に沿いかつ前記開口部に隣接して配置された、前記目標部位に適用する前にマイクロニードルアレイを支える貼付剤を保持する少なくとも1つの保持面を備え、前記保持面が前記窪みの前記底部分にほぼ平行であり、前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記開口部の下に整列させることができる、適用装置。 - 前記ハウジングが概ね矩形の多面体として形成された、請求項1〜36のいずれか一項に記載の適用装置。
- マイクロニードルアレイを適用する適用装置であって、
目標部位に配置可能な開口部を画定する、肌当て面を有するハウジング、及び
前記マイクロニードルアレイに衝突して前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記目標部位に向かって加速させる衝突体を備え、
前記衝突体が、磁気マイクロニードルパッチを解放可能に保持するのに適した磁石を備える、適用装置。 - マイクロニードルアレイを目標部位と接触させることができる衝突体を有するマイクロニードルアレイ適用装置を用意する工程、
マイクロニードルアレイを前記マイクロニードル適用装置上に実装する工程、及び
前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記目標部位と接触させるために、前記衝突体を実質的に弓状の経路に沿って動かす工程を含む、マイクロニードルアレイの適用方法。 - 前記マイクロニードルアレイが、前記目標部位と接触するとき、約4m/sから8m/sの間の速度で動いている、請求項38又は39に記載のマイクロニードルアレイの適用方法。
- 前記衝突体が約0.4グラムから約2グラムの間の質量を有する、請求項38、39又は40に記載のマイクロニードルアレイの適用方法。
- マイクロニードルアレイを目標部位に向かって加速させることができるマイクロニードルアレイ適用装置を用意する工程、
前記マイクロニードルアレイを前記マイクロニードル適用装置上に実装する工程、及び
前記マイクロニードルアレイを、前記目標部位に向かって実質的に弓状の経路に沿って動かす工程を含む、マイクロニードルアレイの適用方法。
