  Furthermore, in the present embodiment, since the paper feed cassette 1 is mounted on the image forming apparatus 100, the lift plate 20 can be locked and the drive transmission can be released simultaneously with a simple configuration, and the lift plate 20 can be locked. It is possible to obtain an image forming apparatus 100 with excellent usability that can simultaneously perform release and drive transmission.
  Note that the lift plate engagement member 24 may have another shape or two or more. In addition, the handle member 25 and the guide groove 26 may have other shapes and mechanisms, and other configurations may be used.
  Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, in the above embodiment, the handle member 25 is used as a fixing means for the lift plate swinging shaft 21, but a fixing means may be provided separately.

  When the lift plate engaging shaft engages with the lift plate push-up plate and the lift plate is locked by moving the lift plate swinging shaft in the axial direction, the coupling means and the drive transmission means are connected. Accordingly, the lift plate can be locked and the drive transmission can be released and the lift plate can be unlocked and the drive transmission can be performed more reliably and with a simple structure.   Further, by providing a handle portion on the lift plate swinging shaft, the shaft can be moved more easily. In addition, by fixing the shaft using the handle portion, the position of the lift plate can be securely locked with the lift plate and the transmission of the lift plate can be reliably secured with a simpler configuration without adding a member. It is possible to move to a position where unlocking and drive transmission are possible, and to fix it. Furthermore, by mounting the paper feed cassette in the image forming apparatus, it is possible to obtain an image forming apparatus that can prevent damage to the lift plate and the driving means more than before.

Claims (5)
