本発明はスキンケア組成物に関する。より詳細には、本発明は紫外線照射から保護する改善された有効性を有する日焼け止め組成物に関する。
消費者は肌への紫外線(UV)照射の影響を懸念するようになっており、それには合理的な理由がある。皮膚ガンが、毎年世界中の数百万人に影響するガンの先導的形態の1つとなっている。UV保護に対する要求によってサンケア市場はパーソナルケアの不動の成長分野となっている。
本発明によれば、熱処理されたキサンタンガム(例えば、INCI名称「デヒドロキサンタンガム」を有するキサンタンガム)とフィルム形成ポリマーとの間に相乗効果が見出されており、SPFが向上する。この向上効果は、水に浸漬する前後の両方でより高いSPF値を可能にする。この相乗効果は、SPF効果を犠牲にすることなく、配合物中に使用される日焼け止め剤の量を低減することを可能にする。従って、このUVフィルター、ポリマー、及び熱処理されたキサンタンガムの相乗効果的組み合わせは、より高いSPFの日焼け止め及び化粧品配合物の創製に非常に有用な手段となる。
一つの態様において、本発明の日焼け止め組成物は水中油(oil-in-water)エマルジョンの形態である。
本発明は、1以上の日焼け止め作用剤(粒状、粒状と有機との組み合わせ、を含む)、1以上の水分散性のフィルム形成ポリマー(合成又は天然由来)及び熱処理されたキサンタンガムを含む組成物に関する。これら組成物は、化粧品及びパーソナルケアにみられる用途など様々な用途に適している。
有用なフィルム形成ポリマーはさらに場合によって他の水分散性合成ポリマー類及び天然から誘導されるものの組み合わせ(いずれも単独でも組み合わせでもよい)を含んでもよい。本発明において使用されるのに好適な天然のフィルム形成の水分散性ポリマーとしては、ポリサッカライド誘導体(ネイティブ及び変性の両方)、などが挙げられる。例えば、本明細書において使用されるようなネイティブスターチは、天然に見出されるスターチを指す。また、交配、置換、逆位、形質変換、それらの変形を含む他の全ての遺伝子又は染色体工学の方法、などの標準の育成技術によって得られる植物から誘導されるスターチが好適である。さらに、公知の標準的な突然変異育成方法によって生産されてもよい上記の一般的な組成物の人工的な突然変異及び変異から成長した植物から誘導されるスターチも本明細書において好適である。
本発明に有用な好適な日焼け止め剤又は作用剤は、UV-A、UV-Bなどの紫外線(UV)放射線を吸収し、散乱させ、又は遮蔽するあらゆる特定の日焼け止め作用剤を包含する。好適な特定の日焼け止め作用剤の非制限的な例としては、クレー類、アガー類、グアー類、ナノパーティクル類、ネイティブスターチ、変性スターチ、変性セルロース誘導体類、酸化亜鉛、二酸化チタン、それらの組み合わせ、などが挙げられる。変性スターチとしては、例えば、DRY-FLO(登録商標)PC lubricant (アルミニウムスターチオクテニルスクシネート)、 DRY-FLO(登録商標)AF lubricant (変性コーンスターチ)、DRY-FLO(登録商標)ELITE LL lubricant (アルミニウムスターチオクテニルスクシネート(及び)ラウリルリシン)、DRY-FLO(登録商標)ELITE BN lubricant (アルミニウムスターチオクテニルスクシネート(及び)窒化ホウ素)、などが挙げられ、全てNational Starch and Chemical Companyから市販されている。

実施例
以下に説明する配合物は、少なくとも2つの無機日焼け止め剤(ZnO及びTiO2)を含む。文献によれば、これら2つのタイプを共に配合するときには、それらは配合物の同じ相に存在させるべきではない。凝集が起こる可能性があり、UV光の散乱が低減されるためにSPF値が低下するからである。
キサンタンガムは完全に水和するまで水中に分散させる。相Bの残りはより少ないUVBフィルターであり、組み合わされ、75℃に加熱され、UVBフィルターが添加される。相Aの成分は組み合わされ、75℃に加熱される。その後、相Aは相Bに添加され、10,000rpmで1分間均質化される。攪拌しながら室温に冷却し、相Cの成分を添加し、中和剤を添加してpHを7に調整する。
以下の4つの日焼け止め配合物が調製された。
上記の配合物は、配合物1が熱処理されたキサンタンガムで調製されている点、配合物2が熱処理されていないキサンタンガムで調製されている点、配合物3が熱処理されたキサンタンガムで調製されているが、フィルム形成ポリマーを有しない点で異なる。配合物4は、日焼け止め作用剤の量を減らしても許容できるSPF値が達成できるかどうか判断するために日焼け止め作用剤(UVフィルター類)の全量を25%減らしたこと以外は配合物1に基づく。
これら配合物を以下の手順に従ったin-vitro SPF 試験に供して、SPF 値を決定した。
全ての配合物は外部の試験ラボラトリー(IMS Inc., Quarry Road Technology Park, 282 Quarry Road, Milford CT, 06460-8508, USA) によって秘密保持状態でSPF値を試験した。SPF 値は、VITRO-SKIN(登録商標)基材を使用するためのIMS Inc In Vitro Sunscreen Waterproof / Water Resistance Protocolと題する方法によって得られた。2μL/cm2のサンプルをVITRO-SKIN(登録商標)基材に塗布した。その後、この基材を40oCの水浴中、300 rpmで80 分間振動させた。SPFの測定は、Labsphere UV 1000S ultraviolet transmittance analyzer (Labsphere, Inc. North Sutton, NH 03260)を使用して10の異なる測定サイトで浸漬の前後で行った。得られたSPF値は平均値として計算されたものであった。これらの測定は、各ケースごとにブランク(試験材料を塗布していないVITRO-SKIN(登録商標)基材)と比較した。
以下の3つの配合物が、UV保護を与えることに関して異なる日焼け止め作用剤及びそれらの量の効果を検討するために調製された。
以下の結果が得られた。
二つの追加の配合物がSPF押し上げを実現するために必要なフィルム形成ポリマー化学の範囲を試験するために調製された。ポリアクリレートの化学を利用する配合物1に加えてPVP/エイコセンコポリマー(油分散性ポリマー)を有する配合物が調製され、比較のためにポリウレタンの化学(水分散性ポリマー)を利用するものも調製された。
以下の配合物10は、水相にZnOが存在し、油相にTiO2が存在する配合物である。
以下の配合物11は、UVフィルターを有するサンレス・タンニング配合物である。
以下の配合物12はスプレー日焼け止め配合物である。
以下の配合物13は日焼け止め作用剤を有するホワイトニング配合物である。
以下の配合物14は微粒子を有するホワイトニング配合物である。
無機UV日焼け止め剤のみを含む配合物(配合物15)の耐水性の潜在能力を調べるために以下の配合物が調製された。無機UVフィルターの濃度は同様のSPF値を維持するために増やした。表4のSPF値は外部ラボラトリーから前述したものと同じ手順を使用して測定した。
以下の配合物は、この配合物中にアクリレート類/オクチルアクリルアミドコポリマーを使用することを検討するために調製された。このポリマーを使用し(配合物16)、前述した同じin vitro SPF手順を使用して、同様な結果(表4参照)が得られた。
非常に耐水性のSPF(Very Water Resistant SPF)のための以下のFDA最終モノグラフ試験方法論、非−無作為化された検討が、肌のタイプI、II及び/又はIIIを有する5人の健康な男性/女性のボランティアについてブラインド評価として行われた。所定の時間で一連の5回のUV線量(25%増分で増加させたもの)を背中の中央部(mid-back)に施した。使用された太陽模擬実験装置は、平均海面での日光と同様の290〜400nmの間のUV放射線を与える。被験者らは22〜24時間後ラボラトリーに戻り、養成された評価者がUVに曝露された部位の応答を0〜7のスケールで等級付けした。この等級付けは、初期の最小紅斑線量(Minimum Erythema Dose:MED)を生成した。この初期MEDは応答等級2(マイルドな紅斑が曝露部位のボーダーに達すること)以上を生成する最も低いUV線量として定義される。
非−無作為化された検討が3人の健康な男性/女性のボランティアについてブラインド評価として行われたことを除いて、上記実施例に示したものと同様の、非常に耐水性のSPFのための以下のFDA最終モノグラフ試験方法論が行われた。熱処理されたキサンタンガム及びフィルム形成材を含み、無機UVフィルターのみを有する配合物15を試験した。
結果を以下に示す。
Claims (21)
- 少なくとも1の無機日焼け止め作用剤である1以上の日焼け止め作用剤、
1以上のフィルム形成ポリマー、及び
熱処理されたキサンタンガム
を含む日焼け止め組成物。 - 1以上の日焼け止め作用剤が、組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.25〜約30重量%の量で存在する、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のフィルム形成ポリマーが、組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.05〜約10重量%の量で存在する、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 熱処理されたキサンタンガムが、組成物の総重量に基づいて、約0.05〜約20重量%の量で存在する、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 少なくとも1の無機日焼け止め作用剤が少なくとも酸化亜鉛及び/又は二酸化チタンである、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の無機日焼け止め作用剤の少なくとも1つが組成物の水相に存在する、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のフィルム形成ポリマーが少なくともアクリレート類コポリマーである、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のフィルム形成ポリマーが少なくともポリウレタンコポリマーである、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 組成物が水中油のエマルジョンである、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の日焼け止め作用剤が、クレー類、アガー類、グアー類、ナノパーティクル類、ネイティブスターチ、変性スターチ、変性セルロース誘導体類、酸化亜鉛、二酸化チタン、及びそれらの組み合わせから選ばれる少なくとも1以上の粒子である、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 変性スターチが少なくともオクテニルスクシネート(OSA)変性スターチ、変性コーンスターチ、及びそれらの組み合わせである、請求項10の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の日焼け止め作用剤が少なくとも1の有機日焼け止め作用剤をさらに含む、請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の有機日焼け止め作用剤が、エチルヘキシル メトキシシンナメート(オクチノキセート)、エチルヘキシル サリシレート(オクチサレート)、ブチルメトキシジベンゾイルメタン、メトキシジベンゾイルメタン、アボベンゾン、ベンゾフェノン-3(オキシベンゾン)、オクトクリレン、アミノベンゾイックアシッド、シノキセート、ジオキシベンゾン、ホモサレート、メチルアンスラニレート、オクトクリレン、オクチサレート、オキシベンゾン、パジメートO、フェニルベンジミダゾールスルホニックアシッド、スリソベンゾン、トロラミンサリシレート、及びそれらの組み合わせから選ばれる、請求項12の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の作用剤をさらに含む請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 作用剤が、アンチアクネ剤、抗微生物剤、抗炎症剤、鎮痛剤、抗赤斑剤、鎮痒剤、抗浮腫剤、抗乾癬剤、抗菌剤、スキンプロテクタント、ビタミン類、抗酸化剤、スカベンジャー、抗刺激剤、抗バクテリア剤、抗ウイルス剤、老化防止剤、プロトプロテクション剤、毛髪成長向上剤、毛髪成長抑制剤、毛髪除去剤、抗フケ剤、抗油濡症剤、角層除去剤、傷治療剤、抗エクトパラサイト剤、皮脂調整剤、免疫調整剤、ホルモン類、植物性薬品、モイスチャライザー、アストリンゼン、クレンザー、センセート類、抗生物質、麻酔薬、ステロイド類、組織治療物質、組織再生物質、アミノ酸、ペプチド類、ミネラル類、セラミド類、ヒドロキシアルキル尿素、バイオヒアルロン酸類、ビタミン類、スキンライトニング剤、セルフタンニング剤、コエンザイムQ10、ナイアシンイミド、カプカシン、カフェイン、及びそれらの組み合わせから選ばれる、請求項14の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のアジュバントをさらに含む請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のコンディショニング剤をさらに含む請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上の防腐剤をさらに含む請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のエステティックエンハンサーをさらに含む請求項1の日焼け止め組成物。
- 1以上のエステティックエンハンサーがコーンスターチ、アピオカスターチ、及びそれらの組み合わせから選ばれる、請求項19の日焼け止め組成物。
- 請求項1の日焼け止め組成物の有効量を基材に塗布することを含む基材についてUV照射を低減する方法。
