Abstract
【解決手段】検出電極54は、第3固体電解質層14c上に形成され、NOxに対する分解/還元能力があるか、あるいは高い電極であって、NOxを分解し、その際に酸素を発生させるNOx分解電極である。この検出電極54は、貴金属であるPtと、第3固体電解質層14cの構成材料であるZrO2と、シリカ(SiO2)とアルミナ(Al2O3)を含む混合物とを含む。具体的には、Ptを80〜90重量%、ZrO2を9.5〜19.8重量%、シリカとアルミナを含む混合物を0.2〜0.5重量%含む。

Claims (11)
- 基板上に形成され、NOxに対する分解/還元能力があるか、あるいは高い電極であって、NOxを分解し、その際に酸素を発生させるNOx分解電極において、
貴金属と、前記基板の構成材料と、シリカとアルミナを含む混合物とを含むことを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項1記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記貴金属と、前記基板の構成材料と、前記シリカとアルミナを含む混合物とを含むペーストを前記基板上に形成し、焼成することによって構成されることを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項1又は2記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記貴金属を80〜90重量%、
前記基板の構成材料を9.5〜19.8重量%、
前記シリカとアルミナを含む混合物を0.2〜0.5重量%
含むことを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記シリカとアルミナを含む混合物は、前記シリカとアルミナに加えて、Fe2O3、TiO2、CaO、MgO、K2Oから選ばれる1つ以上の材料を含むことを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項4記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記シリカとアルミナを含む混合物は、
前記シリカが、0.2〜0.5重量%の50〜56%の割合で含まれ、
前記アルミナが、0.2〜0.5重量%の27.5〜33.5%の割合で含まれていることを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項4又は5記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記Fe2O3、TiO2、CaO、MgO、K2Oのうち、
Fe2O3が選択される場合は、0.2〜0.5重量%の2.5%以下の割合で含まれ、
TiO2が選択される場合は、0.2〜0.5重量%の1.3以下の割合で含まれ、
CaOが選択される場合は、0.2〜0.5重量%の0.8%以下の割合で含まれ、
MgOが選択される場合は、0.2〜0.5重量%の0.8%以下の割合で含まれ、
K2Oが選択される場合は、0.2〜0.5重量%の1.5%以下の割合で含まれていることを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のNOx分解電極において、
前記基板上に形成され、且つ、アルミナを有する電極保護層にて被覆されていることを特徴とするNOx分解電極。 - 基板上に形成され、NOxに対する分解/還元能力があるか、あるいは高い電極であって、NOxを分解し、その際に酸素を発生させるNOx分解電極を有するNOxセンサの製造方法において、
出発原料として、貴金属と、前記基板の構成材料と、木節粘土とを含む混合物のペーストを調製する工程と、
前記ペーストを前記基板上に形成する工程と、
前記基板及び前記ペーストを焼成して前記NOx分解電極とする工程とを有することを特徴とするNOxセンサの製造方法。 - 請求項8記載のNOxセンサの製造方法において、
前記ペーストは、
前記貴金属を80〜90重量%、
前記基板の構成材料を9.5〜19.8重量%、
前記木節粘土を0.2〜0.5重量%
含むことを特徴とするNOxセンサの製造方法。 - 請求項9記載のNOxセンサの製造方法において、
前記木節粘土は、前記ペーストに添加する量を100としたとき、
灼熱原料(Ig.loss)が10〜14%、
SiO2が50〜56%、
Al2O3が27.5〜33.5%、
Fe2O3が2.5%以下、
TiO2が1.3%以下、
CaOが0.8%以下、
MgOが0.8%以下、
K2Oが1.5%以下の割合で含有されていることを特徴とするNOxセンサの製造方法。 - 請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載のNOxセンサの製造方法において、
さらに、前記NOx分解電極を被覆するようにアルミナを有する電極保護層を形成する工程を有することを特徴とするNOxセンサの製造方法。
