さらに、本実施形態では、側板35aの高さを十分に大きくできるので、手差しトレイ31のシートの積載枚数を多くすることができる。

また、側板35aを手差しトレイ31の最外側位置に移動するようにしたが、その他の位置、例えばトナー49の左右中央部に凹部を形成し、手差しトレイ31を開状態から閉状態に移行する際に、側板35aを中央側へ移動するようにしてもよい。
