Abstract
【解決手段】締結具は、滑らかな円筒状軸部からねじ部へ広がるように半径方向に直径が減少する移行部を有するピン部材を備える。締結具は、スリーブ部材および取り付け手段も具える。取り付け手段は、カラー、ナット、または他の可能な取り付け手段を備える。一実施例において、加工物は複数個の材料で形成でき、材料には、複合材料、金属、金属/複合材料構造、またはそれらの組み合わせが含まれる。特定の実施例において、締結具は、複合材料の層間剥離または破壊の危険性なしに、複合材料構造中へ0.0127〜0.254mm(0.0005〜0.0100インチ)の干渉性能を有する。締結具干渉の結果、締結具と、構造との間の隙間は取り除かれ、構成部材間の良好な電気伝導性がもたらされる。その結果、電気火花発生の可能性は減り、航空宇宙用に使用される安全な締結具がもたらされる。

Claims (34)
- 二つ以上の加工物を通る穴に配置されるように構成された締結具であって、
拡大されたピン頭部と、外径を有する滑らかな円筒状軸部と、前記滑らかな円筒状軸部と前記ねじ部とを結合するテーパー状の移行部とを有するピン部材を具え、
前記テーパー状の移行部が20度以下の角度である、締結具。 - 請求項1に記載の締結具であって、
前記滑らかな円筒状軸部に嵌装された、整列された前記穴の深さ以上の長さを有するスリーブを具え、
前記スリーブは、一端部に拡大頭部を有するとともに、前記ピン部材の前記滑らかな円筒状軸部の外径より小さい内径と、前記整列された孔の直径より小さい外径とを有する管状部を有し、
前記スリーブは、前記ピン部材の前記滑らかな円筒状軸部が前記整列された穴に入る際に半径方向に拡大しており、
前記整列された穴の中に前記ピン部材を完全に引き込み、前記滑らかな円筒状軸部が前記スリーブを前記加工物と締まりばめするまで拡大するために要求される最大軸方向負荷と少なくとも等しい軸方向強度を有する折り首溝を具える、締結具。 - 請求項2に記載の締結具であって、
前記スリーブの伸びの量を低減するため、前記スリーブの内面と前記ピン部材の前記滑らかな円筒状軸部との間の摩擦係数が、前記スリーブの外面と前記穴の内径との間との摩擦係数より小さく、
前記滑らかな円筒状軸部が、前記スリーブを前記加工物と約0.0127〜0.254mm締まりばめするまで拡大するのを可能にする、締結具。 - 請求項1に記載の締結具であって、
前記ねじ部に嵌装される管状カラー部材を更に具え、
前記管状カラー部材は、一端部に環状のフランジ部を有するとともに、前記ピンの前記ねじ部にすえ込みされるように構成されたカラー軸部と、前記フランジ部と前記カラー軸部との間の拡大された座ぐりとを有し、前記座ぐりは、前記スリーブの外径より大きい内径を有し、
前記ピン部材は、
円周引き溝を備える折れやすい部分と、
前記ねじ部と前記折れやすい部分との間の前記折り首溝とを有し、
前記折り首溝は、前記ピン部材の最も弱い部分であって、事前に定めた荷重で折れるように構成され、
前記折れやすい部分は、前記カラー部材が前記ねじ部にすえ込みされた後に前記折り首溝の位置で前記ピン軸部から折り取ることができる、締結具。 - 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、
一端部に環状のフランジ部を有する管状ナット部材を更に具え、
前記管状ナット部材は、
前記ピンの前記ねじ部と螺合するように構成されたねじナット部と、
前記スリーブの外径より大きい内径を有する拡大された座ぐりと、
を有する、締結具。 - 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、取り付け後に複数個の加工物との締まりばめが約0.0127〜0.254mmである、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記ピンの前記滑らかな円筒状軸部が前記スリーブに入るときの摩擦の量を低減するために前記スリーブの内面が低摩擦コーティング剤によりコーティングされている、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、取り付けられた締結具に要求される最低引っ張り強度の約50〜96%の高い締め付け予荷重を有する、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、取り付けられた前記締結具に要求される最低引っ張り強度の約78%の平均予荷重を有する、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記締結具が、約3.45mmのグリップ範囲を有するとともに、約110%の最低機械性能を維持する、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記締結具は、シーリング材と共に、またはシーリング材なしに取り付け得る、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記締結具と構造物との間の隙間がなくされて、良好な電気伝導率がもたらされる、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記複数個の加工物の、最低厚みと最大厚みとの間の約3.45mmの機能的なグリップ性能を有する、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記複数個の加工物が、炭素複合材料、チタン、アルミニウム、またはこれらの混合物を具える、締結具。
- 請求項3に記載の締結具であって、前記ピン部材が突出頭を有する、締結具。
