室内機本体の空気吸込口と吹出口を連通する送風路に、エアフィルタ、熱交換器、室内空気循環用送風機、前記エアフィルタを清掃するエアフィルタ清掃装置を配置する空気調和機の室内機において、
前記エアフィルタ清掃装置は、エアフィルタの表面を移動可能に配され、
ケース内に、埃除去手段を収容する埃除去部と、この埃除去部に近接して配され埃除去手段で除去された埃を収容する埃収容部と、 この埃収容部に溜まった埃を室外に排出するための排気用送風機とを設けた清掃ユニットと、
室内機本体の一側に配された排気ダクトを備え、
前記清掃ユニットによるエアフィルタ清掃終了後、前記清掃ユニットと前記排気ダクトを連通し、前記排気用送風機を運転することで前記埃収容部に溜まった埃を前記排気ダクトを介して空気と共に室外に排出することを特徴とする空気調和機の室内機。
