Abstract
Description
最初に、図1につき説明すると、本例装置は金属基板1を具え、その上にほぼ長方形の支持アセンブリ2が取り付けられ、該支持アセンブリ2は縦方向に延在するリセス3を有し、このリセス内に、上面に冷却フィンを有する電荷測定アセンブリ4が配設される。支持アセンブリ2は片側にボックス形のインレット構造を有し、電荷測定アセンブリのインレット側に引かれる空気のためのプレナムチャンバを構成する。電荷測定アセンブリ4の反対側に沿って延在するボックス形アウトレット構造6は基板の下部表面にプレナムチャンバと王とレット開口を有し、該開口を経て空気を装置からポンプ排出することができる。第3の構造7はアセンブリ4への電気接続を与える。電荷測定アセンブリ4の他の細部は以下に説明する。
Claims (12)
- 粒子の特性を決定する装置であって、該装置は粒子の電荷を決定する第1の手段と、粒子の第2の特性を決定する第2の手段とを含み、且つ該装置は前記電荷と前記第2の特性に基づいて粒子の性質を現す出力を供給することを特徴とする粒子特性決定装置。
- 前記第2の特性が粒度であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記第2の手段が光学装置であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の装置。
- 前記第1の手段が、粒子のための通路と、該通路に沿って間隔を置いて配置された複数の電極とを具え、粒子が前記通路に沿って通過するとき電気出力を発生するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1−3の何れかに記載の装置。
- 前記通路が電気絶縁性の管により構成され、且つ前記電極が前記管の外表面上に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4記載の装置。
- 前記通路に沿って間隔を置いて配置された5つの電極を具えることを特徴とする請求項4又は5記載の装置。
- 前記5つの電極のうち最外側の電極を接地し、最外側電極に隣接する2つの電極を相互接続し、中心電極の信号と前記2つの相互接続電極の信号との差から出力信号を導出することを特徴とする請求項6記載の装置。
- 前記管は約0.5mmの内径を有することを特徴とする請求項5−7の何れかに記載の装置。
- 当該装置は約10μmより大きい粒子が前記管に入らないように阻止する手段を具えることを特徴とする請求項5−8の何れかに記載の装置。
- 粒子の特性を決定する方法であって、該方法は粒子の電荷を測定するステップと、粒子の第2の特性を測定するステップ、前記電荷と前記第2の特性から粒子の性質を表す出力を供給することを特徴とする粒子特性決定方法。
- 前記第2の特性は粒度であることを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。
- 粒子の特性を測定する装置であって、該装置は、管内を粒子が流れるように構成された管と、前記管の両端側にそれぞれ配置された第1及び第2の外側電極と、該第1及び第2の電極にそれぞれ隣接する第3及び第4の電極と、該第3及び第4電極の間に配置された第5の電極と、前記第1及び第2の電極を大地へ接続する接続手段と、前記第3及び第4電極を相互接続するとともに測定手段に接続する接続手段と、前記第5の電極を測定手段に接続する接続手段とを具え、前記測定手段が前記第3及び第4の電極の信号を前記第5の電極の信号から減算して粒子の電荷を表す信号を導出するように構成されていることを特徴とする粒子の電荷測定装置。
