Abstract
Description
ナタマイシン被験物質は、Colorado Quality Research,Inc.(CQR)の標準操作手順に従い、フィードミルの4000ポンドの容量ミキサーを用いて、基礎飼料中に混合した。混合された飼料は、50ポンドの容量の飼料袋中に保管した。飼料は処置ごとに保管され、処置飼料は、カラーコードでさらに識別された。
スタータ飼料 第0〜21日(クランブル) 1500ポンド
仕上げ飼料 第21〜32日(ペレット) 2150ポンド
休薬(withdrawal)飼料 第32〜42日(ペレット) 3200ポンド

- 鳥類の胸肉収率を増加させるための方法であって、鳥類を胸肉収率増加有効量のナタマイシンで処置することを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 前記鳥類に胸肉収率増加有効量のナタマイシンを給餌することをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 鳥類は、家禽、シチメンチョウ、カモおよびガチョウからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 胸肉収率増加有効量のナタマイシンは、1羽当たり1日約0.0008グラムから0.033グラムであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンはナタマイシンプレミックスを含み、該ナタマイシンプレミックスは、少なくとも1種のキャリヤーを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約0.1〜100グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約0.5〜50グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約2〜25グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約10グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- キャリヤーは、炭酸カルシウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 有効量のナタマイシンプレミックスを最終飼料に添加するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 有効量のナタマイシンプレミックスは、最終飼料1トン当たりナタマイシンプレミックス約1ポンドを含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- a)胸肉収率増加有効量のナタマイシンを得るステップと、
b)該胸肉収率増加有効量のナタマイシンとキャリヤーとを混合し、ナタマイシンプレミックスを形成するステップと、
c)有効量のナタマイシンプレミックスと飼料とを混和し、最終飼料製品を形成するステップと、
d)鳥類に、該最終飼料製品を給餌するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする鳥類の胸肉収率を増加させるための方法。 - 前記キャリヤーは、炭酸カルシウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約0.1〜100グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約0.5〜50グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約2〜25グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- ナタマイシンプレミックスは、ナタマイシン約10グラムをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 有効量のナタマイシンプレミックスは、最終飼料1トン当たりナタマイシンプレミックス約1ポンドを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
