Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire mainly used for a passenger car.
With higher performance of vehicles, further improvements in performance are required for tires mounted on vehicles. In particular, in passenger car tires, steering stability and ride comfort are emphasized. In order to improve the steering stability and the ride comfort, the specifications of the tread, carcass, belt and other members constituting the tire and the combination thereof are adjusted.
In handling stability, the force felt by the driver's hand through the handle when the handle is operated is emphasized. This force is called steering force. In a tire with a small steering force, a deviation occurs between the driver's consciousness operating the steering wheel and the sense felt by the driver through the steering wheel. With this tire, it is difficult for the driver to grasp the running state and correct it to an appropriate running state when a disturbance such as a crosswind or road surface irregularity occurs. Such a tire is inferior in handling stability.
In the riding comfort, the impact received when the tire rides over a road joint or protrusion and vibration generated in the tire are emphasized. In a tire with increased rigidity for improved handling stability, the driver feels impact every time the tire gets over the road joint. Such a tire is inferior in shock absorption. In order to improve the shock absorption of the tire, the rigidity of the tire is lowered. With a tire with low rigidity, the vibration does not stop and the driver feels uncomfortable. Such a tire is inferior in vibration damping.
In a tire, it is difficult to improve ride comfort and handling stability while achieving a balance between shock absorption and vibration damping.
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire excellent in steering stability while suppressing a decrease in riding comfort.

The reinforcing layer is located inside the inner liner or between the carcass and the inner liner. The ratio of the axial width of the reinforcing layer to the total tire width is 40% or more and 70% or less. The thickness of this reinforcing layer is 0.5 mm or greater and 1.0 mm or less. This reinforcing layer is made of a crosslinked rubber composition. This rubber composition contains short fibers. The amount of the short fibers is 2 parts by mass or more and 40 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base rubber. The average length of the short fibers is 10 μm or more and 3000 μm or less. The average diameter of the short fibers is 1 μm or more and 100 μm or less. The short fibers are oriented in the circumferential direction. The orientation angle formed by the short fibers with respect to the circumferential direction is 0 ° or more and 30 ° or less.
Preferably, in this tire, the short fibers are paper fibers.
Another pneumatic tire according to the present invention includes a tread whose outer surface forms a tread surface, a pair of beads, a carcass spanned between the beads on both sides, and an inner liner positioned inside the carcass. And a reinforcing layer positioned on the inner side in the radial direction of the tread. The reinforcing layer is located inside the inner liner. The ratio of the axial width of the reinforcing layer to the total tire width is 40% or more and 70% or less. This reinforcing layer is a tape made of a film, a sheet, or a nonwoven fabric. The thickness of this tape is 0.05 mm or more and 1 mm or less.
Preferably, in this tire, the tensile strength of the tape is 15 N / cm or more and 500 N / cm or less. The adhesive force between the tape and the inner liner is 4 N / cm or more and 8 N / cm or less.
In this tire, a reinforcing layer is provided inside the inner liner or between the inner liner and the carcass inside the tread in the radial direction. This reinforcing layer includes short fibers. The reinforcing layer reinforces the tire. This reinforcing layer effectively increases the rigidity of the tire. In a tire provided with this reinforcing layer, the steering force felt by the driver is large when the steering wheel is operated at a minute steering angle with a steering angle of 5 ° or less. The change in this steering force accompanying the steering operation is also large. In this tire, the difference between the driver's consciousness operating the steering wheel and the feeling felt by the driver through the steering wheel is small. With a tire having a small deviation, when a disturbance such as a crosswind or road surface irregularity occurs, the driver can accurately grasp the traveling state and easily correct the traveling state. This tire is excellent in handling stability. In this tire, since the thickness and the axial width of the reinforcing layer are optimized, a decrease in riding comfort is suppressed.

In the
In the
In the
In the
Although not shown, in the
In the present invention, the orientation angle of the short fibers is measured by the following method. First, an observation sample including the reinforcing
In the frequency distribution function described above, the half width of the maximum peak represents the orientation of the short fibers. As the orientation of the short fibers increases, the half width becomes narrower. By increasing the orientation of the short fibers, the circumferential rigidity of the reinforcing

As described above, in the
In the

This kraft paper is obtained by making kraft pulp. Examples of the kraft pulp include softwood kraft pulp and hardwood kraft pulp. This paper fiber is less expensive than a filler such as carbon used for enhancing the reinforcing effect of the crosslinked rubber. In the
In the
