Description

The present invention relates to a press forming apparatus and a press forming method capable of improving the productivity of a molded product while ensuring the forming accuracy of a metal plate.

In a conventional transfer press apparatus, a complicated shape can be formed by sequentially performing a forming step using a plurality of molds while conveying a metal plate heated to 200 to 300 ° C. in a heating furnace (for example, , See Patent Document 1).

Specifically, a number of upper molds and lower molds corresponding to a plurality of processing steps and the like are sequentially arranged along the metal plate conveyance path, and the process in each mold is completed. The metal plate is transported to the next-stage mold by the transport mechanism. In each mold, different processes (for example, a press molding process, a piercing process, and a trimming process) are performed, whereby a final molded product is obtained.

In the above-described transfer press apparatus, a plurality of molded products can be continuously obtained by sequentially conveying a plurality of metal plates, and high productivity can be obtained even in the press apparatus. Further, not only a simple shape but also a molded product having a complicated shape can be manufactured.

Furthermore, although the molded product obtained by the transfer press apparatus is generally work-hardened, a low strength is used as the original plate (metal plate before processing).

In addition, the transfer press apparatus mentioned above is used, for example, when shape | molding the vehicle body of a motor vehicle.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-146897 (FIG. 1 etc.)

When hot pressing is performed in a conventional transfer press apparatus, if a quenching is performed using a mold located at the final stage, a molded product should be obtained simply by transporting the metal plate in the transfer press apparatus. Yes, this technology has not been established. When the metal plate is quenched by transfer press, the mold must be held at the bottom dead center for a predetermined time. That is, the mold must be kept in contact with the metal plate until the temperature of the heated metal plate drops to a predetermined temperature.

In the transfer press apparatus, since the multiple stages of molds arranged on the metal plate transport path are configured to perform the same operation (up and down movement), the final stage mold is set to the bottom dead center as described above. In the case of holding for a predetermined time, the mold located on the front side must also be held at the bottom dead center for the same time. In this case, when the former mold contacts the metal plate, the heat of the metal plate escapes to the mold, and the temperature of the heated metal plate decreases.

In this way, if the temperature of the metal plate is lowered in the former mold, the metal plate may not be accurately formed. In addition, the predetermined strength of the metal plate cannot be obtained.

Therefore, the present invention provides a press molding method and a press molding apparatus that can maintain the productivity of a molded product while ensuring the molding accuracy of the metal plate and improving the strength of the molded product.

The present invention for solving the above problems comprises a press molding apparatus (first invention) and a press molding method (second invention).

The first invention of the present application is a press molding apparatus that performs a molding process, a machining process, and a cooling process on a heated metal plate by using a plurality of mold units including an upper mold and a lower mold. A plurality of processing mold units disposed on a first transport path through which the metal plate is transported and sequentially performing the forming step and the machining step; and the forming step by the plurality of processing mold units; A plurality of cooling mold units that respectively perform a cooling process in contact with the metal plate obtained in the machining process, and a plurality of cooling mold units that are movably supported, and each cooling mold And a support unit for transporting the metal plate on a second transport path different from the first transport path by the unit.

Here, each cooling die unit is movable to a position on the first transport path and a position outside the first transport path in accordance with the operation of the support unit. The operation times of the plurality of processing mold units are substantially the same, and the operation time of the processing mold unit can be different from the operation time of the cooling mold unit.

It is possible to provide a transport mechanism for transporting the metal plate between the plurality of processing mold units and transporting the metal plate from the final processing mold unit onto the transport unit.

The press molding method according to the second invention of the present application includes a first transporting process for transporting a heated metal plate on a first transport path, and molding performed using a mold in the first transporting process. A second transport step for transporting the metal plate obtained in the step and the machining step, and the forming step and the machining step on a second transport path different from the first transport path; And a cooling step performed by bringing a metal mold into contact with the metal plate conveyed in the second conveyance step.

Here, the operation times of the molding step and the machining step can be made substantially the same, and the operation times of the molding step and the machining step can be different from the operation times of the cooling step.

According to the present invention, when performing the cooling process (quenching) of the metal plate using the mold on the final stage side, the molding unit is formed without holding the bottom dead center for the time corresponding to the cooling process. Product can be manufactured. Moreover, by sequentially performing the processing steps while conveying the metal plate using a transfer press, the productivity of the molded product can be maintained while quenching.

Examples of the present invention will be described below.

A press molding apparatus that is Embodiment 1 of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a press molding apparatus according to the present embodiment, and this press molding apparatus includes a transfer press apparatus 10 constituting a first conveyance path and a quenching apparatus 20 constituting a second conveyance path. Yes.

The press molding apparatus of the present embodiment has three steps (two processing steps in the transfer press apparatus 10 and one in the quenching apparatus 20) on a flat metal plate heated in a heating furnace (not shown). By performing (Process), a so-called hat-shaped metal plate is formed. The heating method in the heating furnace may be any method, for example, atmospheric heating or induction heating. Moreover, the shape of the metal plate may be any shape, and a mold corresponding to this shape may be used.

First, the configuration and operation of the transfer press apparatus 10 will be described.

In FIG. 1, a flat metal plate 11 heated to a temperature that can be formed in a heating furnace (for example, 750 ° C.) is transported to a transfer press device 10 by transport fingers 6. First, the first mold unit 1 Is pressed. The first mold unit 1 has an upper mold 1 a and a lower mold 1 b, the upper mold 1 a is fixed to the slide 4, and the lower mold 1 b is fixed to the base 5.

Here, as shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, the upper mold 1a is provided with a recess, and the lower mold 1b is provided with a protrusion, but an opposite structure may be used.

Further, the slide 4 can be moved in the vertical direction in FIG. 1 by receiving a driving force from an actuator (not shown). By the operation of the slide 4, the upper mold 1a is moved to the lower mold 1b. On the other hand, the transfer press apparatus 10 can be moved in the vertical direction.

The lower mold 1b has a punch 1b1 and blank holders 1b2 arranged on both sides of the punch 1b1, and the blank holder 1b2 is movable in the vertical direction in FIG. 1 with respect to the punch 1b1. .

The conveyance fingers 6 are used for conveying the heated metal plate 11. The conveyance fingers 6 are configured in pairs so as to support both ends of the metal plate 11. These transport fingers 6 are fixed to a pair of guide rails 12 (see FIG. 2B) extending in the transport direction of the metal plate 11 (the direction of the arrow X1 in FIG. 1). In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, two transport fingers 6 are fixed to each of the pair of guide rails 12.

The pair of guide rails 12 can move in the direction of the arrow X1 and move in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the arrow X1 (the depth direction of the paper surface of FIG. 1, that is, the direction of the arrow X2 shown in FIG. 2B). It is possible.

Here, when the two guide rails slide in the direction of the arrow X1, the transport finger 6 also moves in the direction of the arrow X1. Further, the metal plate 11 can be held by the transport fingers 6 by moving the pair of guide rails 12 in a direction approaching each other (direction indicated by an arrow in FIG. 8). And the metal plate 11 is conveyed by the conveyance finger 6 moving to the arrow X 1 direction in the state holding the metal plate 11.

When the metal plate 11 is conveyed from the heating furnace to the first mold unit 1 side by the conveying fingers 6 and placed on the lower mold 1b of the first mold unit 1, the upper mold 1a is shown in FIG. The flat metal plate 11 is press-molded into a predetermined shape (for example, a hat shape) by starting the descent from the state shown in FIG. 3 and pressing the blank holder 1b2 of the lower die 1b with the convex portion of the upper die 1a.

After press molding, the upper die 1 a is raised by the operation of the slide 4. And the conveyance finger 6 hold | maintains the metal plate 11, and the metal plate 11 is conveyed to the 2nd metal mold | die unit 2 located in the next | following stage with respect to the 1st metal mold | die unit 1. FIG.

The second mold unit 2 has an upper mold 2 a fixed to the slide 4 and a lower mold 2 b fixed to the base 5. The upper mold 2 a is provided with a protrusion 2 a 1 for forming a piercing on the metal plate 11. Further, the blank holder 2b1 of the lower mold 2b is formed with a groove portion into which the protruding portion 2a1 is inserted.

Here, when the upper mold 2 a moves up and down together with the movement of the slide 4, pierces (holes) are formed in the vicinity of both ends of the metal plate 11. The upper mold 2a and the upper mold 1a are moved up and down at the same timing by the operation of the slide 4.

When the process in the second mold unit 2 (the piercing process as a machining process) is completed, the second mold unit 2 is transported to the third mold unit 3 by the transport fingers 6.

In the configuration of the transfer press device 10 described above, a portion of the first and second mold units 1 and 2 that contacts the metal plate 11 may be heated, or a heat insulating layer may be provided on the corresponding contact portion. Thereby, when conveying the metal plate 11 in the transfer press apparatus 10, it can suppress that the heating temperature of the metal plate 11 falls.

Specifically, in the first mold unit 1, at least a portion of the upper mold 1 a that contacts the metal plate 11 can be heated by the heating element. Further, at least a portion of the lower mold 1b (the punch 1b1 and the blank holder 1b2) that is in contact with the metal plate 11 can be heated by the heating element. Thereby, in press molding with the 1st metallic mold unit 1, it can control that the temperature of metal plate 11 falls. On the other hand, you may make it heat the whole metal mold | die 1a, 1b.

The configuration of the second mold unit 2 can be the same as that of the first mold unit 1 described above.

Furthermore, you may heat the part which contacts the metal plate 11 among the conveyance fingers 6 at least. Specifically, a heating element can be disposed on the transport finger 6 to heat a portion that contacts the metal plate 11. In addition, the whole conveyance finger 6 may be heated.

Next, the configuration and operation within the quenching apparatus 20 will be described.

A plurality of (two in this embodiment) third mold units 3 are provided in the quenching apparatus 20 as described later. The third mold unit 3 is provided in a quenching apparatus 20 configured separately from the transfer press apparatus 10, and includes an upper mold 3 a and a lower mold 3 b supported by the main body of the quenching apparatus 20. Have. Here, the upper mold 3a is movable in the vertical direction of FIG. 1 with respect to the lower mold 3b.

The upper mold 3 a is provided with a cooling mechanism (not shown) for cooling the heated metal plate 11. The upper mold 3 a is cooled by this cooling mechanism, and the upper mold 3 a comes into contact with the metal plate 11, thereby cooling (quenching) the metal plate 11. As the cooling mechanism, for example, a circulation path of a cooling medium (for example, water) is formed in the upper mold 3a, and as shown by arrows IN and OUT in FIG. It can be discharged.

When the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 is disposed on the third mold unit 3, the upper mold 3 a is lowered from the state shown in FIG. Then, the upper mold 3a is held at the bottom dead center for a predetermined time, whereby the metal plate 11 is cooled and quenched. Thereby, the temperature of the metal plate 11 is cooled to, for example, 650 ° C. to 200 ° C. or less.

In the present embodiment, only the quenching process of the metal plate 11 is performed by bringing the third mold unit 3 into contact with the metal plate 11, but other processing processes may be performed simultaneously with the quenching process. Good. For example, a step of cutting the end portion of the formed metal plate 11 (so-called trimming step as a machining step) can be performed. In this case, the upper mold 3a and the lower mold 3b of the third mold unit 3 may be provided with protrusions and grooves for performing the trimming process.

FIG. 2 is a view (A, B) of the quenching apparatus 20 as seen from two side surfaces. That is, FIG. 2 (B) is a diagram when the quenching apparatus 20 shown in FIG. 2 (A) is viewed from the direction of the arrow A. Here, FIG. 9 is a view when the state shown in FIG. 2 is viewed from the upper surface side of the press molding apparatus.

Moreover, FIG. 3 is the figure (A, B) which looked at the hardening apparatus 20 from two side surfaces. That is, FIG. 3B is a view of the quenching apparatus 20 shown in FIG. Here, FIG. 10 is a view when the state shown in FIG. 3 is viewed from the upper surface side of the press molding apparatus.

As shown in FIG. 2B, two third mold units 3 are arranged side by side in the arrow X2 direction in the quenching apparatus 20. Here, the two upper molds 3a are fixed to the support member 7, and the support member 7 is movable in the arrow X2 direction with respect to the main body 20a of the quenching apparatus 20 via a guide roller or the like. . The two lower molds 3b are also fixed to the support member 7.

FIG. 2 shows a state in which the metal plate 11 is moved onto one third mold unit 3 of the two third mold units 3 by the conveying fingers 6. In the state shown in FIG. 2, the metal plate 11 is disposed on the lower mold 3 b of the third mold unit 3 by moving the guide rails 12 in directions away from each other. Then, the upper mold 3a moves in the direction of the arrow Y1 in FIG. 3B, so that the upper mold 3a contacts the metal plate 11.

Thereby, the cooling process (quenching process) of the metal plate 11 is performed by the third mold unit 3. Here, when performing the quenching process of the metal plate 11, the upper mold 3 a and the lower mold 3 b must be in contact with the metal plate 11 for a predetermined time (time required for the quenching process).

The predetermined time described above is usually longer than the operation time (press molding time) in the first and second mold units 1 and 2.

Here, in the case where the first to third mold units 1 to 3 are configured to operate at the same timing, the first mold unit 1 to the third mold unit 3 are positioned on the front stage side while performing the quenching process. In the first and second mold units 1 and 2, the pressing process is completed. And in the 1st and 2nd metal mold units 1 and 2, the bottom dead center maintenance will be maintained only for the time which a quenching process requires.

As described above, if the bottom dead center is maintained for a predetermined time in the first and second mold units 1 and 2, the molded product of the metal plate 11 cannot be efficiently manufactured. That is, when the first and second mold units 1 and 2 are operated according to the quenching process in the third mold unit 3, only the difference between the time required for the normal molding process and the time required for the quenching process, The time which can manufacture a molded article will become long.

Therefore, in this embodiment, when the metal plate 11 is transported from the second mold unit 2 to the third mold unit 3 and the quenching process of the metal plate 11 is performed by the third mold unit 3, The third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is placed is moved outside the transport path (hereinafter referred to as the first transport path) of the metal plate 11 in the first and second mold units 1 and 2. I am letting. Here, the first transport path is a transport path of the metal plate 11 extending in the arrow X1 direction shown in FIG.

In the state shown in FIG. 3B, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is placed is moved by sliding the support member 7 in the arrow X3 direction (one direction of the arrow X2). The state shown in FIG. 4 is assumed. Here, the figure which looked at the state shown in FIG. 4 from the upper surface of the press molding apparatus is shown in FIG.

Accordingly, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is not placed is positioned on the first transport path. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 5, the next metal plate 11 conveyed from the second mold unit 2 can be arranged on the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is not placed. it can.

In the state shown in FIG. 5, when the quenching in the third mold unit 3 moved out of the first transport path is completed, the quenched metal plate 11 is moved to the first by a transport mechanism (not shown) such as transport fingers. 3 is removed from the mold unit 3 (see FIG. 12).

Then, as shown in FIG. 6, the metal plate 11 is carried out from the third mold unit 3 outside the first transport path, and the upper mold in the third mold unit 3 on the first transport path. When the mold 3a is lowered, the support member 7 slides in the direction of the arrow X4 with respect to the main body 8, as shown in FIG. Here, the arrow X4 direction is the other direction of the arrow X2 direction and indicates the opposite direction to the arrow X3 direction.

Thus, the two third mold units 3 in the quenching apparatus 20 are in the state shown in FIG. Here, the third mold unit 3 from which the metal plate 11 has been carried out in the state shown in FIG. 5 is positioned on the first transport path, and the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 is located. Can be accepted. On the other hand, the third mold unit 3 that has moved out of the first transport path is in contact with the metal plate 11 for a predetermined time for quenching.

When the quenching process is completed in the state shown in FIG. 7, the metal plate 11 is carried out from the third mold unit 3 located outside the first conveyance path. This state is shown in FIG. In addition, FIG. 12 is a figure when the press molding apparatus is viewed from the upper surface side.

In the state shown in FIG. 12, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is not placed is positioned on the first transport path, and the second mold unit 3 is second with respect to the third mold unit 3. The metal plate 11 from the mold unit 2 is placed (see FIG. 13).

According to the present embodiment, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is placed is slid out of the first transport path to cool the metal plate 11 in the third mold unit 3. It can be performed. Moreover, a space for placing the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 is secured by positioning the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is not placed on the first transport path. be able to.

That is, the two third mold units 3 are alternately positioned with respect to the first transport path, whereby the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 is moved to the two third mold units 3. Sorted into.

For this reason, the quenching process of the metal plate 11 can be appropriately performed using the plurality of third mold units 3 while continuously operating the first and second mold units 1 and 2. In other words, in the first and second mold units 1 and 2, it is not necessary to maintain the bottom dead center for the time corresponding to the quenching process in the third mold unit 3.

Accordingly, the productivity of the quenched molded product can be maintained while maintaining the operation time in the transfer press apparatus 10.

Here, at the timing when the metal plate 11 is transported from the second mold unit 2, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is not placed needs to be positioned on the first transport path. There is. In this embodiment, since the metal plate 11 conveyed from the second mold unit 2 is distributed to the two third mold units 3, the time required for the quenching process in the third mold unit 3. Is approximately twice the operation time (tact time) in the first and second mold units 2, and the quenching process can be sufficiently performed.

Here, if the time of the quenching process in the third mold unit 3 is longer than approximately twice the operation time in the first and second mold units 1 and 2, the third mold unit 3 The mold unit 3 may be configured to shorten the cooling time.

That is, in the present embodiment, since the third mold unit 3 is brought into contact with the metal plate 11 and only the quenching process is performed, the configuration of the third mold unit 3 can be simplified. In other words, the third mold unit 3 can be configured such that the strength of the third mold unit 3 is smaller than the strength of the first and second mold units 1 and 2. Thereby, the press molding apparatus of a present Example can be comprised at low cost.

Therefore, for example, the upper mold 3a and the lower mold 3b of the third mold unit 3 can be configured to be porous, and a cooling medium (for example, water) can be included in the porous. Further, the upper mold 3a and the lower mold 3b can be configured by a frame that abuts against a corner portion of the molded metal plate 11 and an elastic body that is located in the frame and includes a cooling medium.

By comprising in this way, the cooling efficiency of the metal plate 11 in the 3rd metal mold unit 3 can be improved, and it becomes possible to perform a hardening process in a short time.

In the present embodiment, the configuration in which the two third mold units 3 are arranged in the quenching apparatus 20 has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and two or more third mold units 3 are arranged. Also good.

A press molding apparatus that is Embodiment 2 of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. Here, FIG. 14 is a top view of the press molding apparatus in the present embodiment, and the same members as those described in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals.

Hereinafter, differences from the first embodiment will be described. In the present embodiment, the configuration of a quenching apparatus that performs the quenching process of the metal plate 11 is different. This will be specifically described below.

In FIG. 14, a support base 21 that is rotatable in the direction of arrow C by receiving a driving force from an actuator (not shown) is provided downstream of the second mold unit 2. The support table 21 is provided with four third mold units 3 in this rotational direction.

Each of the third mold units 3 is positioned on the transport path of the metal plate 11 in the first and second mold units 1 and 2 as the support base 21 rotates at an angular interval of approximately 90 degrees. It has become. When one third mold unit 3 is positioned on the transfer path (first transfer path), the third mold unit 3 at the position P1 is moved from the second mold unit 2 to the third mold unit 3. When the metal plate 11 is placed, the support base 21 rotates approximately 90 degrees in the arrow C direction.

Accordingly, the third mold unit 3 on which the metal plate 11 is placed is retracted from the first transport path and moved from the position P1 to the position P2.

When the third mold unit 3 moves to the position P2, the upper mold 3a is lowered, so that the upper mold 3a contacts the metal plate 11 and quenching is started. At this time, another third mold unit 3 is located at the position P1, and the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 is conveyed. Here, the timing at which the quenching process is started is not limited to the case where the third mold unit 3 is moved to the position P2 as described above. For example, the timing at which the movement from the position P1 to the position P2 is started. You may make it carry out.

While the third mold unit 3 moves from the position P2 to the position P3, the quenching process of the metal plate 11 is performed. That is, the upper mold 3a in the third mold unit 3 is held at the bottom dead center. When the quenching process is completed, the upper mold 3a moves upward.

When the third mold unit 3 is moved to the position P3, the quenching process of the metal plate 11 is completed, and the upper mold 3a is moved upward. In this state, the quenched metal plate 11 is transported out of the apparatus by a transport mechanism (not shown) such as a transport finger. That is, the molded product is taken out from the support base 21.

The third mold unit 3 from which the metal plate 11 is carried out moves from the position P3 to the position P4 by the rotation of the support base 21. Then, the metal plate 11 from the second mold unit 2 can be received by moving from the position P4 to the position P1.

Also in this embodiment, the same effect as that of Embodiment 1 can be obtained. That is, the first and second mold units 1 and 2 can be operated for a time required for the molding process, and the quenching process of the metal plate 11 can be appropriately performed using the plurality of third mold units 3. . Therefore, the molded product can be manufactured without increasing the operation time (tact time) of the first and second mold units 1 and 2, and the manufacturing efficiency of the molded product can be maintained.

In the first embodiment, a configuration in which the plurality of third mold units 3 are slid with respect to the first transport path will be described. In the second embodiment, the plurality of third mold units 3 are moved to the first transport path. The configuration for rotating the motor has been described. Here, the present invention is not limited to the configurations of the first and second embodiments described above.

That is, as long as a plurality of third mold units 3 are provided and each third mold unit 3 is positioned on the first transport path and retracted from the first transport path, any configuration is possible. It may be a configuration. Specifically, the moving path (the transport path of the metal plate 11 by the third mold unit 3; the second transport path) along which the third mold unit 3 moves is different from the first transport path. And the second transport path and the first transport path may be configured to intersect each other.
