Abstract
Description
本発明は、単一のインターフェースユニットにより、共通のホストシステムに複数の気体検出装置を接続するのに便利な技術を示す。より詳しくは、本発明の一実施の形態は、全型式の気体測定装置、即ち、主流気体測定装置又は副流気体測定装置に接続するのに適するインターフェースユニットを提供することを企図する。インターフェースユニットの出力部は、ホストシステムに接続される。このように、インターフェースユニットは、事実上、全型式の気体測定装置を共通のホストシステムに通信接続することが可能である。図1及び図2は、前記インターフェースユニットに接続できる従来の気体測定装置の2つの形態を略示する。図3と図4は、インターフェースユニットに接続される主流気体測定装置50の別の実施の形態の略示図と斜視図とを示す。
本発明は、全型式の気体測定装置に接続できるインターフェースユニットを設けるのではなく、主流気体測定装置にのみ接続するホストシステムに通信できる副流気体測定装置を設けることを企図する。主流気体測定装置が待つ信号を副流気体測定装置にエミュレートさせることにより、主流気体測定装置にのみ接続する副流気体測定装置を設けることにより、これを達成することができる。このように、既存の主流気体測定装置又は特に主流気体測定装置のみと通信するホストシステムに連動して副流気体測定装置を使用することができる。
上記明細書中に使用する用語の一覧は、下記の通りである。この一覧は、明細書の補足を企図するが、明細書に記載した用語の定義をこれらに置き換えるのではなく、背景技術に基づいて当業者が理解し、企図する各意味を明確にするのに役立つ。
Claims (8)
- 入力接続部(66)及び出力部(68)を有するインターフェースユニット(64)と、複数の気体測定装置(8,28,60)とを備え、
各気体測定装置(8,28,60)は、患者の気道に流体接続して配置されて少なくとも1つの呼吸気体を測定し、
各気体測定装置(8,28,60)は、インターフェースユニット(64)の入力接続部(66)に着脱可能に接続される出力接続部(70a,70b,70c)を有し、
各気体測定装置(8,28,60)は、呼吸気体から患者の少なくとも1つの呼吸変数を決定しかつ出力接続部(70a,70b,70c)を通じてインターフェースユニット(64)に出力を送出する処理手段(22)を有することを特徴とする呼吸気体監視システム。 - 複数の気体測定装置(8,28,60)は、副流気体測定装置及び主流気体測定装置を備える請求項1に記載の呼吸気体監視システム。
- インターフェースユニット(64)の出力部(68)は、配線接続の通信リンク(72)又はワイヤレス接続の通信リンクにより構成される請求項1に記載の呼吸気体監視システム。
- 入力接続部(66)及び出力部(68)を有するインターフェースユニット(64)を準備する過程と、
出力接続部(70a,70b,70c)を備え、呼吸気体から患者の少なくとも1つの呼吸変数を決定しかつ出力接続部(70a,70b,70c)を通じてインターフェースユニット(64)に出力を送出する処理手段(22)を有する複数の気体測定装置(8,28,60)を準備する過程と、
対応する気体測定装置(8,28,60)の出力接続部(70a,70b,70c)をインターフェースユニット(64)の入力接続部(66)に接続することにより、複数の気体測定装置(8,28,60)の1つをインターフェースユニット(64)に選択的に接続する過程とを含むことを特徴とする呼吸気体監視法。 - ホストシステム(74)にインターフェース装置(64)の出力部(68)を作動接続する過程と、
インターフェースユニット(64)を通じて気体測定装置(8,28,60)からホストシステム(74)に少なくとも1つの呼吸気体変数を送信する過程とを含む請求項4に記載の監視法。 - ハウジング(36)と、
ハウジング(36)に対応しかつ試料セル(81)を収容する試料セルコネクタ(83)と、
ハウジング(36)内に配置され、試料セルコネクタ(83)内に収容される試料セル(81)に対応して試料セル(81)を通じて通信して、試料セルコネクタ(83)付近の試料セル(81)内の気体の特性を示す信号を出力する気体センサ(82)と、
気体センサ(82)から信号を受信し、出力信号内の信号を使用して、主流気体測定装置から出力される信号をシミュレートするエミュレーション手段(84)と、
エミュレーション手段(84)に作動接続され、副流気体測定装置をホストシステム(86)に接続する通信要素(88)とを備え、
主流気体測定装置にのみ通信するホストシステム(86)に通信することを特徴とする副流気体測定装置(80)。 - 患者回路(12)に流体接続して配置される第1の端部と第2の端部とを有する第1の導管(30)と、
第1の導管(30)の第2の端部に配置された試料セル(81)と、
試料セル(81)に作動接続され、呼吸気体の特性を示す信号を出力する気体センサ(82)と、
気体センサ(82)の信号を受信しかつ該信号に基づいて呼吸気体変数を決定する処理要素(85)と、
主流気体測定装置にのみ接続するホストシステム(86)に処理要素(85)の出力信号を通信するホストシステムインターフェース(88)とを備え、
処理要素(85)は、ホストシステムインターフェース(88)から出力される信号を修正して、主流気体測定装置から出力される信号又は信号の一部をエミュレートすることを特徴とする副流気体測定装置(80)。 - 第1の導管(30)を患者の気道に接続する過程と、
第1の導管(30)を通じて試料セル(81)に呼吸気体流を供給する過程と、
試料セル(81)に作動接続する気体センサ(82)を通じて試料セル(81)内の呼吸気体の特性を測定する過程と、
主流気体測定装置から出力された測定された特性を含む信号又は信号の一部をエミュレートする過程と、
主流気体測定装置にのみ接続するホストシステム(86)に信号を出力する過程とを含むことを特徴とする気体監視法。
