Description

The present invention relates to an automobile door seal structure.

Conventionally, there has been a demand for a flash surface of a vehicle body from the viewpoint of appearance design and wind noise reduction. Further, as a future design trend, it has been noticed that a metal molding is provided around the door glass, particularly along the upper edge of the door glass. From the viewpoint of such flash surface formation and adoption of a metal molding, a normal sash door is disadvantageous. Because, in the case of a sash door, when a metal molding is provided on the vehicle body side, the upper end of the sash is interposed between the metal molding and the door glass, so the design is not established in the first place. Is provided at the upper end of the sash, it is unavoidable to make a metal molding cut between the front door and the rear door.

As a door structure that meets the demand for a flash surface and has good compatibility with the metal molding described above, a sashless door without a sash or an inner sash door with a sash provided inside the door glass can be considered. However, sashless doors have poor sealing performance and glass retention, and have not been widely used in general. On the other hand, the other inner sash door is advantageous in that the glass retainability can be improved as compared with the sashless door.

A conventional inner sash door seal structure is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 7-42827 (Patent Document 1). The seal structure disclosed in this document is as shown in FIG.

In FIG. 5, 51 is a sash (inner sash), and 60 is a glass that moves up and down along the sash 51 on the vehicle exterior side of the sash 51. A retainer 50 is disposed on the door side wall 55b of the body panel, and a parting seal 54 is attached thereto. A main seal 56 and a glass run 57 are attached to the sash 51. When the door is closed, the main seal 56 contacts the door step bottom wall 55c of the body panel. One glass run 57 has obliquely upward seal portions 57 a and 57 b, and these obliquely upward seal portions 57 a and 57 b are in contact with the glass 60. Further, when the door is closed and the glass 60 is closed, the upper end portion 60 a of the glass 60 contacts the parting seal 54. That is, the glass 60 is configured to be sealed by the parting seal 54 and the glass run 57.

However, the conventional inner sash door seal structure still has a poor sealing performance and has problems of water tightness and air tightness.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a door surface structure that improves the watertightness and airtightness of the inner sash door, and to provide a highly reliable flash surface door.

One aspect of the present invention is a molding that is mounted on the vehicle outer end of the door opening of the vehicle body, an inner sash that is a window frame of the door, and a door glass that moves up and down along the inner sash on the vehicle outer side of the inner sash. A main seal that seals between the inner sash and the door opening when the door is closed, a glass seal that seals between the inner sash and the door glass, and is attached to the molding. A parting seal that seals between the molding and an upper end portion of the door glass when the door is closed and the door glass is closed, and the parting seal contacts the inner sash when the door is closed, And the inner sash are also sealed.

According to this configuration, the parting seal can be sealed in contact with not only the upper end portion of the door glass but also the inner sash, so that watertightness and airtightness can be improved. This makes it possible to provide a highly reliable flash surface door.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the molding has a hanging part that extends from the vehicle outer end of the door opening along the up-and-down trajectory of the door glass, and the upper end of the door glass. Is preferably supported by the hanging portion against the glass suction direction when the door glass is closed.

According to this configuration, it is possible to prevent the glass from being sucked out using the hanging portion while the hanging portion functions as a decorative member along the upper edge of the door glass.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is preferable that the parting seal is accommodated inside the hanging part and is largely concealed by the hanging part in a side view of the vehicle from the outside of the vehicle.

According to this configuration, it is possible to prevent the parting seal from being seen from outside the vehicle by the hanging portion. In this case, even if the parting seal is enlarged to improve the sealing performance, the parting seal can be hidden by the hanging part. Thereby, the designability of an external appearance can be improved. Further, since the parting seal can be supported by the hanging part, there is no risk of the seal falling down.

Moreover, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is preferable that a recess for accommodating the parting seal is provided on the vehicle interior side of the hanging part.

According to this configuration, it is possible to employ a larger parting seal, thereby further enhancing the sealing performance.

By the way, in the case of the conventional seal structure as shown in FIG. 5, when the glass 60 is lowered, the sash 51 and the parting seal 54 are separated as shown by the line of sight as viewed from the side of the vehicle outside in the same figure. The body panel (door step bottom wall 55c) was exposed through the gap, and the appearance was not good.

In this regard, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the door is closed, the lower end edge of the hanging part and the upper end edge of the inner sash are set to be substantially at the same height. For this reason, even when the door glass is slightly lowered, the door opening is not exposed outside the vehicle, and the appearance at this time can be improved.

Furthermore, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is preferable that the inner sash has a closed cross-sectional shape, and the main seal is attached to a flange portion formed on the vehicle interior side of the door opening.

According to this configuration, the inner sash can be made highly rigid with a closed cross section, while the main seal is difficult to attach to the inner sash, but the main seal is attached to the flange formed on the vehicle body side. Easy installation is ensured. Also, the main seal looks better on the vehicle body side than on the door side.

ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the door seal structure which improves the watertightness of an inner sash door and an airtightness is implement | achieved, Therefore A flash surface door with high reliability can be provided.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In addition, this invention is not limited to the following embodiment, It shows only the specific example advantageous for implementation of this invention. Further, not all combinations of features described in the following embodiments are essential as the problem solving means of the present invention.

FIG. 1 is a view showing a side appearance of an automobile employing the door seal structure of the present invention. The automobile is provided with a molding 10 as an exterior member along the upper edge of the door glass 2 and 2 of each of the front door and the rear door ranging from the front pillar to the roof side rail to the rear pillar. Such a mall 10 is made of, for example, stainless steel, and is attracting attention as a recent design trend. Here, a mode of mounting such a mall on the vehicle body side and a mode of mounting on the door side are conceivable, but when mounted on the door side, the mall must be interrupted between the front door and the rear door, It is not preferable from the viewpoint of appearance design. Therefore, in this embodiment, so-called inner sash doors are employed for the front door and the rear door. At the same time, the mall 10 does not use a separate one for each of the front door and the rear door, but uses an integrally constructed one as depicted separately in the upper part of the figure. Attach to the outside edge of the door opening. This realizes a characteristic exterior design.

Hereinafter, the door seal structure of the automobile according to the present embodiment shown in FIG. 1 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3 are cross-sectional views taken along the line A-A in FIG. 1, and show the door opening time and the door closing time, respectively. These drawings briefly show an example of the door seal structure in the present embodiment. In particular, the book structure will be described if the following explanation is read while comparing the conventional structure in FIG. 5 with the structure according to the present embodiment in FIGS. The features and advantages of the invention will be readily appreciated. 2 and 3 are cross-sectional views taken along the line AA of FIG. 1, the door seal structure shown therein is for the front door, but it goes without saying that the same door seal structure can be applied to the rear door. . Therefore, hereinafter, the door seal structure of the front door according to the AA cross section of FIG. 1 will be described as a representative, and the description of the rear door will be omitted.

2 and 3, the left side of the drawing is the vehicle outer side, the right side is the vehicle inner side, and the XX line indicates the door opening / closing direction. Moreover, the YY line in FIG. 3 shall show the suction direction of a door glass. 2 and 3, reference numeral 1 denotes an inner sash that is a window frame of the door, and 2 denotes a door glass that moves up and down along the inner sash 1 on the outer side of the inner sash 1. The inner sash 1 according to the present embodiment has a closed cross-sectional shape as shown in the drawing, thereby ensuring sufficient rigidity. A retainer is formed on the outer side of the inner sash 1, and a glass seal 3 is attached to the retainer. When the door glass 2 is closed, the space between the inner sash 1 and the door glass 2 is sealed by the glass seal 3.

The roof side rail that forms the upper edge of the door opening of the vehicle body includes the roof side rail outers 5a to 5d that form the engagement surface with the door and the roof side rail that forms the vehicle inner side. It consists of an inner 11. Here, an overlapping portion of the roof side rail outer 5d and the roof side rail outer 11 extends downward, and a flange 12 is formed. And here, the main seal 8 made of hollow rubber is fitted. The main seal 8 seals between the inner sash 1 and the door opening when the door is closed.

However, as long as the space between the inner sash 1 and the door opening can be sealed when the door is closed, the main seal 8 may be mounted on the inner sash 1 side. However, in this embodiment, since the inner sash 1 has a closed cross-sectional shape as described above, it is necessary to further form a retainer for mounting the main seal 8 on the inner sash 1, and the shape of the inner sash 1 itself is further complicated. I have to make it something. Rather, it is structurally simple to form the flange 12 at the overlapping portion of the roof side rail outer 5d and the roof side rail outer 11 as described above, and attach the main seal 8 to the main seal 8. It is possible to ensure the ease of mounting. Also, the main seal 8 may look better on the vehicle body side than on the door side.

Next, the mall 10 in this embodiment will be described in detail. The molding 10 has a surface at the lower end of the vehicle outer surface 5a of the roof side rail outer (that is, the vehicle outer end of the door opening) so that the surface thereof is substantially flush with the vehicle outer surface 5a of the roof side rail outer. Installed. For example, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the upper portion of the molding 10 is folded back to the back side (inner side of the vehicle), and a flange 10 a is formed at the upper portion thereof so as to extend perpendicularly to the surface of the molding 10. Has been. The molding 10 is attached to the roof side rail by, for example, adhering the flange 10a to the vehicle outer bottom surface 5b of the roof side rail outer. Further, the lower portion of the molding 10 is also folded back to the back side (the vehicle interior side), and a retainer 10b is formed at a position facing the flange 10a at the upper portion of the molding 10. A parting seal 7 made of hollow rubber is attached here. The parting seal 7 seals between the molding 10 and the upper end of the door glass 2 when the door is closed and the door glass 2 is closed (see FIG. 3).

As a result of the molding 10 having a flange 10a and a retainer 10b formed on the back side of the upper portion of the molding 10, the door glass 2 extends from the lower end of the vehicle outer surface 5a of the roof side rail outer (ie, the vehicle outer end of the door opening). A hanging part 10c extending along the up and down trajectory is formed. When the door is closed and the door glass 2 is closed as shown in FIG. 3, the upper end portion of the door glass 2 is supported by the hanging portion 10c against the glass suction direction indicated by the YY line. Therefore, while the surface of the hanging part 10c basically functions as a decorative member, glass dripping can be prevented by using the hanging part 10c.

In this case, the parting seal 7 is configured to be accommodated inside the hanging part 10c. According to this configuration, most of the parting seal 7 can be concealed by the hanging part 10c in a side view of the vehicle from the outside of the vehicle. Thereby, the designability of an external appearance can be improved. Furthermore, according to this configuration, the molding 10 functions as a holder that restricts the deformation of the parting seal 7 in the vehicle outward direction due to the presence of the hanging portion 10c. This eliminates the risk of the seal of the parting seal 7 falling down.

In this embodiment, by providing a step between the vehicle outer bottom portion 5b and the vehicle inner bottom portion 5d of the rule side rail outer, the vehicle outer bottom portion 5b and the side surface 5c connecting the vehicle outer bottom portion 5b and the vehicle inner bottom portion 5d. And the recessed part 6 comprised with the hanging part 10c of the mall 10 was provided. That is, the parting seal 7 is accommodated in the recess 6. By doing so, even if the parting seal 7 is enlarged to improve the sealing performance, the parting seal 7 can be hidden by the hanging part 10c. Thereby, the sealing performance of the parting seal 7 can be easily enhanced without impairing the beauty of the molding 10.

4 is a perspective view showing a cross section taken along line BB in FIG. In FIG. 4, the upper side of the drawing shows the vehicle outer side, and the lower side of the drawing shows the vehicle inner side. In the figure, reference numeral 2 at the upper left of the drawing is the door glass of the front door, and reference numeral 2 at the lower right of the drawing is the door glass of the rear door. A cross section around the center pillar is shown in the center of the drawing. The center pillar located between the front door 2 and the rear door 2 is composed of a center pillar outer 22, a center pillar inner 23, and a center pillar trim 24, and has a closed cross section as shown in the figure. The overlapping portions of the center pillar outer 22 and the center pillar inner 23 are extended as flanges at the front and rear of the vehicle body, respectively, and a center pillar main seal 28 made of hollow rubber is attached thereto. In addition, although illustration is abbreviate | omitted, the upper end of this center pillar is connected with the above-mentioned roof side rail outer 5d.

Reference numeral 21 is a center pillar inner sash as a window frame provided on the door, and holds the glass 2 in a slidable manner. Further, a retainer is formed on the inner side of the center pillar inner sash 21, and a center pillar part-parting seal 27 made of a hollow rubber is attached thereto. Therefore, in this example, when the door is closed, the center pillar inner sash 21 and the center pillar outer 22 are sealed by the center pillar main seal 28 and the center pillar part-off seal 27.

4 shows a door seal structure at the upper end portion of the door, which corresponds to the perspective view of the cross section shown in FIG. 3 (however, on the rear door side). Reference numeral 13 is a rule trim as an interior member of the rule side rail portion.

With reference to FIG. 4 described above, the sliding holding structure of the glass 2 at the center pillar portion in the inner sash structure of this embodiment will be more clearly understood. In addition, it is also important that such an inner sash structure allows the molding 10 to be used integrally (see FIG. 1) without being interrupted by the center pillar.

The door seal structure in the present embodiment is generally as described above. When the door is closed, the main seal 8 comes into contact with the inner sash 1 to seal between the inner sash 1 and the door opening. Although this is as described above, in this embodiment, in addition to this, as shown in FIG. 3, the parting seal 7 also contacts the inner sash 1, and the molding 10 and the inner sash 1 are simultaneously sealed. This is the most important point in the configuration of the present embodiment. In short, when the door is closed, the parting seal 7 not only contacts the upper end of the door glass 2 when the door glass 2 is closed, but also contacts the inner sash 1 to provide a double seal. In the conventional structure shown in FIG. 5, even when the door is closed and the glass 60 is closed, there is a gap between the parting seal 54 and the inner sash 51, and it cannot be denied that watertightness and airtightness are weak. Absent. In addition, raindrops and air enter the gap only by lowering the glass 60 a little. On the other hand, in the configuration of the present embodiment as shown in FIG. 3, it will be easily understood that there is no conventional gap and the water tightness and the air tightness are increased. Moreover, there is no room for raindrops or air to enter the interior of the vehicle more than the inner sash 1 when the door glass 2 is slightly lowered. Therefore, the door seal structure of this embodiment can provide a highly reliable flash surface door.

Further, in this configuration, it is desirable that the lower end edge of the hanging part 10 c of the molding 10 and the upper end edge of the inner sash 1 are located at substantially the same height. In such a positional relationship, as shown by the line of sight of the vehicle outer side in FIGS. 2 and 3, even when the door glass 2 is slightly lowered, the door opening on the vehicle body side is exposed outside the vehicle. This is because the appearance at this time can be improved.
