Description

The present invention relates to a polyolefin-based foam wallpaper having high adhesion of a pattern layer made of a water-based paint.

Conventionally, as foam wallpaper, a paper base (backing paper) in which a foam resin layer made of a vinyl chloride resin (vinyl chloride resin) is formed is known. However, in recent years, a so-called non-vinyl chloride resin wallpaper using, for example, a polyolefin-based resin without using a vinyl resin for the foamed resin layer in consideration of the environment has been proposed (Patent Documents 1 to 3, etc.).

Specifically, as a non-vinyl chloride resin wallpaper, a paint in which a microcapsule-type foaming agent is blended with an emulsion containing an acrylic resin and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin is applied on a paper substrate and dried, There is known a foam wallpaper in which a pattern layer is printed on the surface, and then a resin layer is foamed, and then an uneven pattern is formed by an embossed plate. In addition, an unfoamed resin layer made of a composition containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and a thermally decomposable foaming agent is extruded on a paper substrate by a T-die extruder, and then a pattern layer is formed on the surface. There is known a foamed wallpaper obtained by printing, then foaming an unfoamed resin layer, and then forming an uneven pattern with an embossed plate.

However, the non-vinyl chloride resin wallpaper has a drawback that the adhesion between the pattern layer and the non-vinyl chloride resin is low when the pattern layer is formed from an aqueous paint. Various methods have been proposed to remedy this drawback.

For example, a method of forming a primer layer made of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin aqueous emulsion after corona discharge treatment on the surface of a non-vinyl chloride resin layer on which a pattern layer is laminated has been conventionally used.

However, the prior art as described above has a problem in any of surface characteristics (particularly scratch resistance), economy (manufacturing cost), etc., apart from improvement in adhesion between the pattern layer and the non-vinyl chloride resin. For this reason, as a result, the actual situation is that a non-PVC wallpaper comparable to the conventional PVC wallpaper has not been developed yet.

Hereinafter, the foamed wallpaper of the present invention will be described in detail.

1. Foamed wallpaper The foamed wallpaper of the present invention is a foamed wallpaper having at least a foamed resin layer containing a polyolefin-based resin and a pattern layer on a paper-based substrate,
(1) A non-foamed resin layer containing an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin (EMAA) is formed on the surface of the foamed resin layer on the side opposite to the side where the paper-based substrate is present,
(2) The pattern layer is formed from a water-based paint,
(3) The pattern layer is formed on the surface of the non-foamed resin layer.
It is characterized by that.

The “surface opposite to the side on which the paper-based substrate exists” is hereinafter referred to as “front surface”.

In the foamed wallpaper of the present invention, a non-foamed resin layer containing EMAA (EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer) is formed on the front surface of the foamed resin layer, and on the front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer. Since the pattern layer made of a water-based paint is formed, the pattern pattern layer has good adhesion.

Economical (cost) in that the formation of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer can ensure good adhesion of the pattern layer without forming a primer layer composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) aqueous emulsion. Reduction) is high. Moreover, the formation of the EMMA-containing non-foamed resin layer increases the scratch resistance of the foamed wallpaper.

Hereinafter, each layer will be described.

The paper-based substrate is not particularly limited as long as it has mechanical strength, heat resistance and the like suitable as a wallpaper substrate, and a fibrous sheet can be generally used.

Specifically, among fiber sheets, flame retardant paper (pulp-based sheets treated with flame retardants such as guanidine sulfamate and guanidine phosphate); inorganic additives such as aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide Inorganic paper including; fine paper; thin paper and the like.

The basis weight of the paper quality substrate is not limited, but preferably about 50 to 300 g / m 2, about 50 to 80 g / m 2 is more preferable.

Foamed resin layer The foamed wallpaper of the present invention has a foamed resin layer containing a polyolefin-based resin on a paper-based substrate.

Examples of the polyolefin resin include polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene, polymethylpentene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, EVA, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, ethylene-propylene-butene copolymer, polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer, and the like. Is mentioned. These polyolefin resins may be contained as a matrix resin in the foamed resin layer. Among these, EVA is preferable. EVA has a characteristic of crosslinking by electron beam irradiation, and when it is crosslinked, the scratch resistance of the foamed wallpaper can be further improved.

When EVA is used, the vinyl acetate content is preferably 10 to 30% by weight. When EVA having a vinyl acetate content within such a range is used, the scratch resistance of the foamed wallpaper can be further improved.

The foamed state of the foamed resin layer (for example, the size of foamed cells, the density of foamed cells, etc.) is not limited, and can be set as appropriate according to the type of foamed wallpaper.

The foamed resin layer may contain additives such as inorganic fillers, pigments, flame retardants, and heat stabilizers.

Among these, examples of the inorganic filler include calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, antimony trioxide, zinc borate, and a molybdenum compound. By including an inorganic filler, an effect of suppressing see-through, an effect of improving surface characteristics, and the like are obtained. The content of the inorganic filler is preferably about 0 to 100 parts by weight and more preferably about 20 to 70 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the EVA resin constituting the foamed resin layer.

Examples of the pigment include the following. Examples of inorganic pigments include titanium oxide, zinc white, carbon black, black iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, yellow lead, molybdate orange, cadmium yellow, nickel titanium yellow, chrome titanium yellow, iron oxide (valve), and cadmium. Examples of organic pigments include aniline black, perylene black, azo (azo lake, insoluble azo, condensed azo), polycyclic (isoindolinone, isoindoline, quinophthalone, perinone, flavantron, anthrapyrimidine, anthraquinone, quinacridone, Perylene, diketopyrrolopyrrole, dibromoanthanthrone, dioxazine, thioindigo, phthalocyanine, indanthrone, halogenated phthalocyanine) and the like.

Additives are not limited to those described above, and other known additives can also be used. The amount of addition can be selected from a wide range depending on the type of foam wallpaper.

Although the thickness of a foamed resin layer is not limited, about 300-1000 micrometers is preferable and about 400-800 micrometers is more preferable.

このようなEMAAとしては、例えば、EMAA(製品名「ニュクレル N1035」、MFR:35g/10分、三井・デュポンポリケミカル製)が好適である。
EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer An EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer is formed on the front surface of the foamed resin layer. EMAA is not limited, but preferably has an MAA content of about 4 to 15% by weight. As such EMAA, for example, EMAA (product name “Nucleel N1035”, MFR: 35 g / 10 min, manufactured by Mitsui DuPont Polychemical) is suitable.

Since a picture pattern layer to be described later is laminated on the front surface of the EMAA non-foamed resin layer, good adhesion of the picture pattern layer made of an aqueous paint can be obtained.

The non-foamed resin layer is preferably composed only of EMAA, but may contain other resins. As other resins that can be contained, for example, polyolefin resins are preferable. Specifically, when the foamed resin layer uses EVA as a matrix resin, the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer preferably further includes EVA. This is because, when EVA is contained within a range that does not hinder the adhesion improving effect of the pattern layer by EMAA, the compatibility with the lower foamed resin layer containing EVA can be further enhanced by the compatibility of the same type of resin. It is. In addition, when mixing and using EMAA and other resin, it is preferable that content of EMAA shall be about 50 to 99 weight% of resin contained in the said non-foamed resin layer.

The thickness of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer is not limited, but is preferably about 5 to 50 μm, and more preferably about 10 to 20 μm.

The front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer may be subjected to corona discharge treatment. The corona discharge treatment method may follow a conventional method.

Pattern Pattern Layer In the foamed wallpaper of the present invention, a pattern pattern layer made of an aqueous paint is formed on the front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer. Since the pattern pattern layer is formed on the front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer, good adhesion can be obtained even though the pattern pattern layer is formed from a water-based paint.

The pattern layer imparts design properties to the foamed wallpaper. Examples of the design pattern include a wood grain pattern, a stone pattern, a grain pattern, a tiled pattern, a brickwork pattern, a cloth pattern, a leather pattern, a geometric figure, a character, a symbol, and an abstract pattern. With regard to the solvent, for the water, for example, industrial water of the grade used in known aqueous coating agents can be used. Further, as the aqueous solvent, a mixed solvent composed of water and an organic solvent can be used. As the organic solvent, for example, water-soluble organic solvents such as glycols and glycol esters can be suitably used in addition to lower alcohols such as ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and n-propyl alcohol. The water-soluble organic solvent is used for the purpose of improving the fluidity of the aqueous emulsion resin, improving the wettability to the substrate sheet as the coated body, and adjusting the drying property. The type and amount used are determined accordingly. In the case of a mixed solvent, the ratio of water and organic solvent can be appropriately adjusted within the range of water: organic solvent 20:80 to 100: 0 (weight ratio).

Examples of the resin component include resins used in known water-based coating agents and water-based paints. For example, acrylic resins, urethane resins, epoxy resins, acrylic urethane resins, vinyl acetate resins, and the like can be given. These can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, it is preferable to use an acrylic urethane resin in terms of heat resistance, water resistance, weather resistance, and the like. When using acrylic urethane type resin, it is preferable that the average molecular weight shall be about 10,000-100,000.

If necessary, extender pigments can be added to the aqueous emulsion composition for the purpose of at least one of blocking resistance, improvement of heat resistance during embossing, improvement of adhesive force due to anchor effect, and the like.

As the extender pigment, known or commercially available pigments can be used, and there is no particular limitation. For example, inorganic pigments such as white clay, talc, clay, diatomaceous earth, calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, titanium oxide, alumina white, silica, kaolin, mica, aluminum hydroxide, polyacrylate, polyurethane, polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene Organic pigments such as polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polystyrene, polysiloxane, phenol resin, epoxy resin, benzoguanamine resin, or organic pigments composed of these copolymers can be used. These are usually desirably used in the form of particles.

What is necessary is just to determine suitably the usage-amount of the water or aqueous medium in an aqueous | water-based emulsion composition from the range from which solid content in an aqueous | water-based emulsion composition will be 20 to 80 weight%.

The thickness of the pattern layer is different from the type of pattern, but is preferably about 0.1 to 10 μm.

Surface protective layer The foamed wallpaper of the present invention may have a surface protective layer as the outermost surface layer. The surface protective layer can impart surface properties such as scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, and contamination resistance to the foamed wallpaper.

ナイロン樹脂にはナイロンmn(mはジアミン、nは二塩基酸のそれぞれの炭素原子数)とナイロンn(nはω−アミノ酸又はラクタムの炭素原子数)の二つのタイプがある。 The resin for forming the surface protective layer is not limited, but nylon resin is particularly preferable in terms of excellent scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, stain resistance, and the like. Nylon resin is a polymer having an amide bond in the main chain. Nylon resin is a linear polyamide resin obtained by polycondensation of diamine and dibasic acid, ring-opening polymerization of lactam, polycondensation of aminocarboxylic acid, etc. It is called resin. There are two types of nylon resins, nylon mn (m is diamine, n is the number of carbon atoms of each dibasic acid) and nylon n (n is the number of carbon atoms of ω-amino acid or lactam). Nylon resin, which is one of these high-functional plastics, is a crystalline linear polymer and has a unique amide bond -CONH- in the molecular chain, so various excellent properties (impact resistance, Abrasion resistance, self-extinguishing).

The thickness of the surface protective layer is not limited, but is preferably in the range of 5 to 30 μm from the viewpoint of surface physical properties, workability, cost effectiveness, and the like.

Embossed pattern The foamed wallpaper of the present invention may further have an arbitrary embossed pattern on the front surface.

The embossed pattern can be given by, for example, a known embossed plate. For example, an arbitrary embossed pattern can be formed on the foam wallpaper by pressing the embossed plate while heating from the front surface of the picture pattern layer or the surface protective layer. Examples of the embossed pattern include a wood grain plate conduit groove, a stone plate surface unevenness, a cloth surface texture, a satin texture, a grain texture, a hairline, and a multiline groove.

2. Production method of foam wallpaper The production method of the foam wallpaper of the present invention is not particularly limited. In general, an unfoamed resin layer containing a pyrolyzable foaming agent and an EMAA-containing nonfoamed resin layer are sequentially formed on a paper substrate, and then a pattern layer is formed on the nonfoamed resin layer with an aqueous paint, and then the foaming agent The manufacturing method which makes an unfoamed resin layer a foamed resin layer by heating is suitable.

The unfoamed resin layer is formed from a composition for forming an unfoamed resin layer (a composition containing a resin constituting the unfoamed resin layer and a thermally decomposable foaming agent). The forming method is not limited, and either a calendar method or a melt extrusion method can be used. When the melt extrusion method is employed, it is desirable to select a melt flow rate having good extrudability.

Examples of the thermally decomposable foaming agent include azo series such as azodicarbonamide (ADCA) and azobisformamide; and hydrazide series such as oxybenzenesulfonyl hydrazide (OBSH) and paratoluenesulfonyl hydrazide. The content of the pyrolytic foaming agent can be appropriately set according to the type of foaming agent, the expansion ratio, and the like. The content of the foaming agent is preferably about 1 to 20 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin in the composition.

The composition for forming an unfoamed resin layer may contain an inorganic filler. The inorganic filler is as described above. In addition, a foam cell regulator, a heat stabilizer, a flame retardant, and the like can be blended. About these compounding quantities, it can set suitably according to the kind of foam wallpaper.

The EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer is formed from a composition for forming an EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer (a composition containing at least EMAA). The forming method is not limited, and any of the above calendar method or melt extrusion method can be used.

Since the non-foamed resin layer and the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer are in a relationship of two adjacent layers, two layers can be easily formed by co-extrusion of two types and two layers using an extruder. As the extruder, for example, a multi-manifold type capable of simultaneous extrusion of two types and two layers can be preferably used. The melting temperature (cylinder temperature / die temperature) is appropriately adjusted according to the type of resin.

The laminate formed by the extrusion molding may be directly extruded onto a paper base material, or may be formed separately from the paper base material. In the former case, since the laminate has good adhesiveness due to heat of fusion, it is in close contact with the paper substrate. In the case of the latter, it can adhere | attach by mounting a laminated body on a paper-like base material, and carrying out heat lamination.

Next, a pattern layer is formed on the front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer with an aqueous paint. The description of the pattern layer is as described above.

Prior to the formation of the pattern layer, the laminate may be irradiated with an electron beam. For example, when the foamed resin layer-constituting resin is EVA, EVA is cross-linked by electron beam irradiation, so the degree of foaming in the foaming process can be adjusted. In addition, since the strength is increased by crosslinking, the scratch resistance of the foamed wallpaper is also improved. The energy of the electron beam is preferably about 150 to 250 kV. The irradiation amount is preferably about 1 to 7 Mrad. A known electron beam irradiation apparatus can be used as the electron beam source.

When performing electron beam irradiation, the composition may contain a crosslinking aid.

Any crosslinking assistant may be used as long as it promotes crosslinking by electron beam irradiation. Examples thereof include polyfunctional monomers such as neopentyl glycol dimethacrylate and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate, oligomers, and the like. The crosslinking aid is preferably about 0 to 10 parts by weight and more preferably 1 to 4 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of EVA.

Prior to the formation of the pattern layer, the front surface of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer may be subjected to corona discharge treatment by a conventional method.

After the pattern layer is formed, the foaming resin layer is made into a foamed resin layer by heating the foaming agent.

The heating conditions are not limited as long as the foamed resin layer is formed by the decomposition of the pyrolytic foaming agent. The heating temperature is preferably about 180 to 240 ° C, more preferably about 210 to 230 ° C. The heating time is preferably about 20 to 60 seconds, and more preferably about 25 to 40 seconds.

If necessary, a surface protective layer may be formed after the pattern layer is formed and before foaming. The method for forming the surface protective layer is in accordance with the method for forming the foamed resin layer.

What is necessary is just to shape by pressing a well-known embossing plate from the front surface of a foam wallpaper, when embossing a pattern.

The formation of the EMAA-containing non-foamed resin layer is highly economical (cost reduction) in that good adhesion of the pattern layer can be ensured without forming a primer layer made of an EVA aqueous emulsion. Moreover, the formation of the EMMA-containing non-foamed resin layer increases the scratch resistance of the foamed wallpaper.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples and comparative examples. However, the present invention is not limited to the examples.

The temperature conditions of the T-die extruder were a cylinder temperature including EMAA: 160 ° C., a cylinder temperature including EVA: 120 ° C., and a die temperature: 120 ° C.

In the simultaneous extrusion lamination, the non-foamed resin layer / non-foamed resin layer were laminated in this order so that the paper-based substrate and the non-foamed resin layer were in contact with each other. The thickness of each layer was 15 μm / 100 μm in the above order.

After lamination, the EVA was crosslinked by irradiating an electron beam (175 kV, 5 Mrad) from above the non-foamed resin layer, and then the corona discharge treatment was applied to the front surface of the non-foamed resin layer.

Subsequently, the pattern pattern layer of the cloth pattern was formed by gravure printing on the front surface of the non-foamed resin layer. A water-based paint (product name “Hydric” manufactured by Dainichi Seika Kogyo Co., Ltd.) was used as the printing ink.

Next, the laminate was heated at 220 ° C. for 30 seconds in a gear oven. As a result, the thermally decomposable foaming agent was decomposed, and the unfoamed resin layer was used as the foamed resin layer.

Then, the embossing was performed with respect to the foam from the front surface of the pattern pattern layer, and the texture pattern pattern was shaped.

Through the above process, a foam wallpaper was produced.
