この架台装置は、既存防水層上の任意の位置に自由に設置できるので屋上等における構築物の配置設定の自由度が大幅に向上し屋上の有効利用が促進される。
また、本願発明に係る架台技術は既存防水層の上にさらに新規な防水層を重設する手法による改修工事にも効果を有する。 すなわち、既存防水層上に新たな防水層を全面的に張設する場合、前記第1増設防水層、基盤、第2増設防水層等を取り外したうえで、新規防水層を張設する。 そして、この新たな既存防水層上に前記のように架台装置を簡単にしかも高い防水信頼性の下に形成することができる。

    (ホ) 請求項5記載の架台装置における第2筐体を前記第1筐体に嵌合するとともに第1筐体の側壁に設けた袋型ネジ部と第2筐体の側壁を通して前記袋型ねじ部に螺合するボルトにより第1および第2筐体を固着する工程。
