Description

Zoom lens system

The present invention relates to a zoom lens system suitable for a single-lens reflex camera, particularly a digital single-lens reflex camera.

Currently, since it is difficult to increase the size of an image sensor in a digital SLR camera, it is common to use an image sensor having a screen size smaller than that of a silver salt (film) SLR camera. Therefore, for interchangeable lenses with the same focal length, the digital SLR camera has a narrower angle of view than the silver salt SLR camera, so a lens with a shorter focal length is preferred. On the other hand, in order to be able to use interchangeable lenses for silver halide SLR cameras that already have many types on the market, the lens mount and flange back may be the same as that of conventional silver halide SLR cameras. Need focus. Thus, in order to ensure a long back focus at a short focal length, a negative positive / negative positive / negative four-group zoom lens system is advantageous in order from the negative lens preceding type object side.

However, the conventional negative, positive, and positive four-group type zoom lens system has a complicated configuration of the third lens group and the fourth lens group, which is a cost-up factor.

An object of the present invention is to obtain a zoom lens system excellent in cost performance in which the configuration of the third lens group and the fourth lens group is simplified, particularly in the negative-lens-preceding negative-positive-negative-positive four-group zoom lens system. To do.
Further, according to the present invention, by appropriately arranging the refractive power of each lens group, the short focal length has an angle of view of 75 ° or more at a focal length of 20 mm or less at the short focal length end, a zoom ratio of about 3, and a short focal length. An object of the present invention is to obtain a zoom lens system in which a necessary peripheral light quantity at the distance end is secured and an off-axis aberration at the short focal length end and an axial aberration at the long focal length end are well balanced.

(1)0.4<|fi (i=1)|/fBw<0.8
(2)1.0<fi (i=4)/fi(i=2)<1.8
The present invention includes, in order from the object side, a first lens group having a negative refractive power, a second lens group having a positive refractive power, a diaphragm, a third lens group having a negative refractive power, and a fourth lens having a positive refractive power. In the zoom lens system consisting of groups, the third lens group is composed of a positive lens and a negative lens, and the fourth lens group is composed of a positive single lens, a positive lens, and a negative lens in order from the object side. And the first lens group is a focus lens group, and satisfies the following conditional expressions (1) and (2).
(1) 0.4 <| fi (i = 1) | / fBw <0.8
(2) 1.0 <fi (i = 4) / fi (i = 2) <1.8
fi: focal length of the i-th lens group (i = 1 to 4),
fBw: Back focus at the short focal length end.

The order of the positive and negative lenses of the cemented lens in the fourth lens group is preferably that the positive lens is positioned on the object side and the negative single lens is positioned on the image side in terms of aberration correction. The cemented lens in the fourth lens group can give either positive or negative refractive power as a whole, but it is preferable to give positive refractive power for aberration correction. The final lens in the fourth lens group is preferably a negative meniscus lens convex to the image side.

(3)1.0<|fi (i=3)|/fw<2.5
(4)1.3<fi (i=4)/fw<2.5
In the zoom lens system, it is preferable that the third lens group and the fourth lens group satisfy the following conditional expressions (3) and (4).
(3) 1.0 <| fi (i = 3) | / fw <2.5
(4) 1.3 <fi (i = 4) / fw <2.5
However,
fi: focal length of the i-th lens group (i = 1 to 4),
fw: focal length of the entire system at the short focal length end,
It is.

(5)0.5<|fi (i=1)|/(fw×ft)1/2<1.2
The zoom lens system preferably satisfies the following conditional expression (5).
(5) 0.5 <| fi (i = 1) | / (fw × ft) 1/2 <1.2
However,
fi: focal length of the i-th lens group (i = 1 to 4),
fw: focal length of the entire system at the short focal length end,
ft: focal length of the entire system at the long focal length end,
It is.

In this zoom lens system, the first lens unit is reduced in diameter while suppressing a decrease in the amount of peripheral light at the short focal length end, and the short focal length end and its vicinity are simplified while simplifying the third lens group and the fourth lens group. In order to more appropriately correct off-axis aberrations in the focal length region, it is preferable to dispose a fixed stop that restricts off-axis light flux at the short focal length end in front of the second lens group. In addition, it is preferable to arrange a variable stop between the second lens group and the third lens group.

In order to suppress the decrease in the amount of peripheral light and to further correct off-axis aberrations at the short focal length end and the focal length range in the vicinity thereof while simplifying the third lens group and the fourth lens group, An aspheric surface is preferably arranged in the lens group.

According to the present invention, in the negative-lens preceding type negative-positive-negative-positive four-group zoom lens system, the configuration of the third lens group and the fourth lens group can be simplified, and a zoom lens system having excellent cost performance can be obtained. . In addition, by appropriately arranging the refractive power of each lens group, it has a field angle of 75 ° or more at a focal length of 20 mm or less at the short focal length end, a zoom ratio of about 3, and is necessary at the short focal length end. A zoom lens system with a good balance between off-axis aberrations at the short focal length end and on-axis aberrations at the long focal length end side can be obtained while ensuring a sufficient peripheral light amount.

As shown in the simplified movement diagram of FIG. 37, the zoom lens system of the present embodiment includes a first lens group 10 having a negative refractive power, a fixed aperture FS, a second lens group 20 having a positive refractive power, an aperture stop S, The first lens group 10 includes a third lens group 30 having a negative refractive power and a fourth lens group 40 having a positive refractive power, and during zooming from the short focal length end (W) to the long focal length end (T). Is moved to the image side and then U-turned to move to the object side, and the second lens group 20, the third lens group 30 and the fourth lens group 40 each move monotonously to the object side. The distance between the first lens group 10 and the second lens group 20 initially decreases greatly and then gradually decreases. The distance between the second lens group 20 and the third lens group 30 increases monotonously. The distance between the fourth lens group 40 decreases monotonously and the distance between the fourth lens group 40 and the image plane increases monotonously. The stop S moves together with the third lens group 30. Focusing is performed by the first lens group 10.

This zoom lens system focuses on the configuration of the third lens group 30 and the fourth lens group 40 of the above four-group zoom lens system. As shown in each example of FIGS. 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 29, and 33, the third lens group 30 includes a positive lens 31 and a negative lens 32. The fourth lens group 40 is composed of a positive single lens 41, and a positive lens 42 and a negative lens 43 in order from the object side.

Cost reduction and weight reduction can be achieved by bonding the third lens group 30 to a positive and negative lens. The order of the positive and negative lenses of the third lens group 30 does not matter.

The fourth lens group 40 includes two positive lenses and one negative lens. The positive / negative order is preferably positive / negative. In the order of positive and negative, the light must be largely refracted by the negative lens, and high-order aberrations are likely to occur. In addition, aberration fluctuations due to zooming, particularly changes in field curvature, increase.

Therefore, in this zoom lens system, the cemented lenses in the fourth lens group are in the order of positive and negative. Generation of higher-order aberrations can be suppressed by using a cemented lens. Moreover, it is desirable that the cemented lens in the fourth lens group has a positive refractive power as a whole. If it has a negative refractive power, a large aberration must be corrected by the bonded negative lens group and the remaining positive lens, which is not preferable. Compared to this, when the lens has a positive refractive power, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of aberration in the remaining positive lenses after performing sufficient aberration correction in the cemented lens.

In the zoom lens system, the final lens in the fourth lens group (all lens systems) is a negative lens. If the final lens is a negative lens, particularly a negative meniscus lens, it is advantageous for correcting field curvature.

Conditional expression (1) is a condition for correcting the aberration while ensuring the back focus. By satisfying this condition, not only the back focus can be secured, but also the aberration can be corrected well even if the size is reduced. If the upper limit of conditional expression (1) is exceeded, the object side surface of the second lens group becomes a strong divergence surface to ensure a large back focus compared to the focal length (although the focal length is short). It becomes difficult to correct off-axis aberrations near the distance end and on-axis aberrations near the long focal length end. If the lower limit of conditional expression (1) is exceeded, off-axis aberrations occurring in the first lens group cannot be corrected by the subsequent lens group.

Conditional expression (2) is a condition regarding the ratio of the refractive powers of the second lens group and the fourth lens group. If the upper limit of conditional expression (2) is exceeded, the second lens group will bear most of the zooming action, and the variation in spherical aberration and coma aberration due to zooming will increase. If the lower limit of conditional expression (2) is exceeded, the fourth lens group will bear most of the zooming action and the effect of correcting curvature of field, astigmatism, etc. by the fourth lens group will be insufficient. Become.

(3’)1.2<|fi (i=3)|/fw<2.0
Conditional expression (3) is a condition regarding the refractive power of the third lens group. If the upper limit of conditional expression (3) is exceeded, the negative refractive power of the third lens group will be insufficient, and a strong divergent surface will be placed in the second lens group if sufficient back focus is to be secured at the short focal length end. In other words, it becomes difficult to correct aberration fluctuations accompanying the movement of the second lens group. If the lower limit of conditional expression (3) is exceeded, the negative refractive power of the third lens group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct aberration fluctuations due to movement unless the number of lenses in the third lens group is increased.
More preferably, the following conditional expression (3 ′) should be satisfied.
(3 ') 1.2 <| fi (i = 3) | / fw <2.0

(4’)1.6<fi (i=4)/fw<2.1
Conditional expression (4) is a condition relating to the refractive power of the fourth lens group. If the upper limit of conditional expression (4) is exceeded, the positive refractive power of the fourth lens group will be insufficient, and it will be difficult to assume the function of correcting off-axis aberrations for light beams with a wide angle of view at the short focal length end. When the lower limit of conditional expression (4) is exceeded, the positive refractive power of the fourth lens unit becomes too strong, and aberration fluctuations during zooming increase.
More preferably, the following conditional expression (4 ′) should be satisfied.
(4 ') 1.6 <fi (i = 4) / fw <2.1

Conditional expression (5) defines the movement locus of the first lens unit during zooming. As described above, the first lens group draws a U-turn trajectory during zooming between the short focal length end and the long focal length end. However, any of the upper and lower limits of the conditional expression (5) is exceeded. The amount of movement of the first lens group increases, leading to an increase in the lens diameter and the total lens length.

In this zoom lens system, a fixed stop for limiting off-axis light flux at the short focal length end is disposed in the vicinity of the object side lens in the second lens group. If the fixed stop is arranged in the second lens group in the vicinity of the most object side lens, it is easy to correct off-axis aberrations at the short focal length end. Further, even when the first lens group is a focusing lens, the decrease in the amount of peripheral light due to focusing is small. It is also advantageous for reducing the lens diameter of the first lens group.

On the other hand, the variable stop is disposed between the second lens group and the third lens group. In the negative / positive / negative / positive four-group type, if an open / close stop is arranged here, fluctuations in coma due to the stop value can be minimized.

By disposing an aspheric surface in the first lens group, it is possible to favorably correct distortion and astigmatism, particularly at the short focal length end, and to reduce variations in field curvature due to zooming.

Next, specific examples will be described. Is F number, f is focal length of whole system, fB is back focus, r is radius of curvature, d is lens thickness or lens interval , N d is the refractive index of the d line, and ν is the Abbe number.

x=cy2/[1+[1-(1+K)c2y2]1/2]+A4y4+A6y6+A8y8+A10y10+A12y12・・・
