Abstract

Description

  The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory skin external preparation which contains an extract of a loofah root and is excellent in suppressing ultraviolet inflammation.

  In recent years, the amount of solar ultraviolet rays reaching the surface of the earth has been increasing year by year due to a decrease in the ozone layer. When exposed to too much UV light, the skin is damaged, inflammation called erythema occurs, the skin becomes rough, and the skin moisturizing function decreases. It also causes a decrease in collagen production and wrinkles are formed. As described above, since ultraviolet rays have an adverse effect on the skin, in recent years, there has been an increasing demand for cosmetics related to sunburn such as sunscreen cosmetics and skin care cosmetics after sunburn.

  Conventionally, sunscreen cosmetics have been blended with various UV scattering agents and UV absorbers. UV scattering agents and UV absorbers have the effect of reducing the exposure of the skin to UV rays. However, when the blending amount of the ultraviolet scattering agent is increased, the blending amount of the oil is also increased, so that the feeling of use is deteriorated.

  Ultraviolet scattering agents and ultraviolet absorbers are intended to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, but apart from this, substances that suppress adverse effects on the skin exposed to ultraviolet rays have been studied. By blending these substances into sunscreens, the blending amount of UV scattering agent and UV absorber can be reduced, and by blending in skin care cosmetics, the influence of UV rays on the skin can be suppressed.

On the other hand, it is generally considered that plant-derived components are less irritating to the skin, and various plant extracts are blended in skin care cosmetics. For example, a cosmetic is known in which specific components such as ε-aminocaproic acid and glycyrrhizic acid are added to loofah water, which is a liquid juice leached from loofah fruit or stem (Patent Document 1). In addition, cosmetics containing loofah whole plant extracts and other plant extracts are known (Patent Document 2).

  However, it has not been known that the extract of loofah root has an anti-inflammatory effect. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an anti-inflammatory skin external preparation containing an extract of loofah root, particularly a skin external preparation that suppresses inflammation caused by ultraviolet rays.

  As a result of intensive studies in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, the present inventor has found that the extract of loofah root exhibits an anti-inflammatory action, particularly an action of suppressing erythema caused by ultraviolet rays.

  In the anti-inflammatory skin external preparation of the present invention, components generally used as components of the skin external preparation can be blended in a blending amount within a range in which the effects of the present invention are exhibited. Production Example 1 (Extract of loofah root)

Example 1 (Anti-inflammatory effect of loofah root extract)
95% ethanol was added to the extract of the loofah root obtained in Production Example 1 to prepare samples containing 0.2% by weight and 0.3% by weight of the extract.
