Abstract
Description
種々のポリマーの電荷を、初めにコロナ処理を行ったポリマーから製造したフィルムによって試験した。これは、フィルムの表面に永久電荷、およびフィルムの内部にこの反対の符号の電荷を生じ、その結果、このフィルムは、永久磁石のように作用を始める。この後、極性のPorabak Q粉末を、このフィルムの上に注いだ。この粉末は、球形のポリマー粒子(80−100メッシュのサイズ)からなる。このフィルムを、粉末を広げるために、前後に揺らし、その後、フィルムに付着していない余分な粉末を、慎重に振ることにより取り除いた。フィルムの表面に付着した粉末を、顕微鏡で観察した。
170g/m2の重量を有するカップボードを、10種の種々のポリマーでコーティングした(この層重量は、10−15g/m2であった)、一連の試験を行った。各コーティングポリマーを、予備的なコロナ処理に供する、およびこのようなコロナ処理をしないの両方で試験した。全部で20個のサンプルの各々を、EP 629 930号公報に従う技術を用いて印刷し、そして10人の試験官が、最も良いサンプルに値1、および最も悪いサンプルに値20を与えるように、最良から最悪の順に印刷したサンプルを列挙することによって、結果を視覚的に評価した。これらの値の中で、平均および偏差を計算した。さらに、IR照射による融合の後のトナーの付着(%)を、各サンプルについて2回測定した。結果を、以下の表1に示す。
Claims (18)
- デジタル印刷法であって、該印刷は、ポリマーコーティングした紙またはボードの上に、
該紙またはボードの表面を帯電させる工程、
該印刷に従って電場内の表面にトナー粒子を提供する工程、および
該表面上の印刷のスポットへと赤外線照射する工程であって、熱により、該トナーを、該ポリマーコーティングにしっかりと融合させる工程、
によって行われ、
ここで、該コーティングは、帯電可能なエチレンのアクリレートコポリマーを含む、
ことにより特徴付けられる、方法。 - 前記コーティングポリマーが、トナーを付着させるために、赤外線照射により融解されることによって特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ポリマーのトナー粒子が前記表面に提供され、該粒子が該表面に融合されるように、該粒子が赤外線照射により融解されることによって特徴付けられる、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングが、エチレンメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)、エチレンエチルアクリレートコポリマー(EEA)、またはエチレンブチルアクリレートコポリマー(EBA)を含むことによって特徴付けられる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングが、エチレンメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)を含むことによって特徴付けられる、請求項4に記載の方法。
- エチレンメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)のコーティング層内のメチルアクリレートモノマーの割合が、9−20モルパーセント、好ましくは、15−20モルパーセントであることによって特徴付けられる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 保護ラッカーが、印刷の後に前記コーティングに塗布されることによって特徴付けられる、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 最も外側の層(3)がエチレンのアクリレートコポリマーから実質的になるように、ファイバーベース(2,5)が1つ以上のコーティング層を有することによって特徴付けられる、デジタル印刷可能な、ポリマーコーティングした紙(4)またはボード(1)。
- 前記ファイバーベース(2,5)上のコーティング層が、エチレンメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)の層(5)からなることによって特徴付けられる、請求項8に記載の紙またはボード。
- 前記ファイバーベース(2)の両側にEMA層(3)を含むことによって特徴付けられる、請求項8または9に記載の紙またはボード。
- EMA層内のメチルアクリレートモノマーの割合が、9−20モルパーセント、好ましくは、15−20モルパーセントであることによって特徴付けられる、請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載の紙またはボード。
- 前記ボードが、パッケージングボード(1)であり、ファイバーベース(2)の重量が、130−600g/m2、好ましくは、170−300g/m2であることによって特徴付けられる、請求項8〜11のいずれか1項に記載のボード。
- ファイバーベース(5)の重量が、20−130g/m2、好ましくは、40−120g/m2であることによって特徴付けられる、請求項8〜11のいずれか1項に記載の紙(1)。
- 前記コーティングを形成するEMA層、または最も外側の層(3)の重量が、7〜20g/m2であることによって特徴付けられる、請求項8〜13のいずれか1項に記載の紙またはボード。
- デジタル印刷可能な紙またはボードのポリマーコーティングにおける、エチレンのメチルアクリレートコポリマー、エチルアクリレートコポリマー、もしくはブチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA、EEA、もしくはEBA)の使用。
- デジタル印刷可能な紙またはボードの、ポリマーの帯電可能なコーティング層としての、エチレンメチルアクリレートコポリマー(EMA)の使用。
- 紙またはボードの単独のコーティング層としての、請求項16に記載のEMAの使用。
- 実質的に純粋なEMAのコーティング層としての、請求項16または17に記載の使用。
