Description

  The present invention relates to a recording apparatus in which a drawing medium such as roll paper is sandwiched between grip parts, the drawing medium is conveyed by rotation of the grip part, and printing is performed on the drawing medium with an ink jet recording head.
As shown in FIG. 5, a drawing medium 6 such as roll paper is guided on a platen 4 provided with a heater 2, and the drawing medium 6 is sandwiched by a grip portion composed of a driving roller 8 and a pinch roller 10. The drawing medium 6 is conveyed in the X-axis direction by the rotation of the driving roller 8 of the grip portion, while ink droplets are ejected from the recording head 13 movable along the Y-axis rail 12 to the drawing medium 6 on the platen 4. 2. In printing by an ink jet printer, there is a structure in which a heater is provided on a platen to warm a drawing medium. In such an apparatus, as shown in FIG. 5, ink ejected from a recording head 13 and attached to the drawing medium 6 is used. The droplets are heated by the heater 2 and the solvent components are evaporated and stay in the apparatus. In addition, since a minute droplet is ejected from the recording head 13, ink mist also appears. There has also been proposed an apparatus that blows ink backward by blowing air from the front of the apparatus. However, since air also flows under the head at that location, there is a problem in that the ink flying is adversely affected in ink jet printing in which ink droplets fly.
In addition, a structure in which an air flow is generated with a structure in which no fan is provided has been proposed, but in this structure, a load is applied in moving the head, and the direction in which the air is blown is usually the direction in which the cover is present in this type of recording apparatus. In order to achieve the above-described object, the present invention is an inkjet type in which an image forming medium is sandwiched by a grip part, and the image forming medium is sent in the X-axis direction on the platen by rotating the grip part, while moving on the platen in the Y-axis direction.
