Description

The present invention relates to a plant-growing water-absorbing material or a plant-growing support, and more particularly to a plant-growing water-absorbing material or a plant-growing support that is excellent in durability and can grow plants well over a long period of time without using culture soil.

As a soil for potted plants to be appreciated indoors, for example, a water retention body for plants mainly composed of a water-absorbing polymer as in Patent Document 1 has been developed. The water-absorbing polymer is a resin having high water absorption, such as a thermoplastic nonionic resin or an acrylic resin.
Conventional water retention bodies for plants are produced by dispersing granular or fine water-absorbing polymers in a block or sheet of pulverized cellulose obtained by pulverizing waste paper or the like. Plant water-retaining bodies have been used as artificial soil for putting moisture in pots and planters and supplying moisture directly to plant roots.

By the way, as a growing method of pothos which is a cocoon plant for indoor appreciation, for example, a method of winding it around a porous agricultural and horticultural support is known. Agricultural and horticultural support pillars are made of a coconut fiber hardened with a binder and formed into a pillar shape, and are porous members used for tailoring foliage plants. When this is used to cultivate pothos, the roots that grow between the ridges of the bamboo shoots root on the outer periphery of the agricultural and horticultural supports, making it appear as if they were parasitic on natural trees in the forest.
JP 2003-199425 A

As described above, the conventional agricultural and horticultural support post is formed by solidifying natural coconut fiber with a binder and forming it into a columnar shape. For this reason, when potos were cultivated over a long period of time with watering, a large amount of microorganisms propagated in the coconut fiber, and the coconut fiber and eventually the agricultural and horticultural support were easily rotted. In the worst case, the pothos was rotted and the agricultural and horticultural support could be out of shape.

An object of the present invention is to provide a water-absorbing material for plant growth that can grow plants well over a long period of time without using culture soil.
An object of the present invention is to provide a plant-growing support column that is excellent in durability and can grow plants well over a long period of time without using culture soil.
An object of the present invention is to provide a water-absorbing material for plant cultivation or a plant-growing support column that is difficult to burn and difficult to propagate various germs.

The invention described in claim 1 is a plant-growing water-absorbing material in which a water-absorbing polymer is supported on a growing base material made of synthetic cotton and / or synthetic fabric that can be provided around the outer periphery of a plant-growing support column.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the plant-growing water-absorbing material is provided around the outer periphery of the plant-growing support, and then, for example, the cocoon plant is wound around the plant-growing water-absorbing material. Then, the water absorbing material for plant cultivation is exposed to water or sprinkled with water. As a result, the water-absorbing polymer supported on the growth substrate absorbs water and swells.
Thereafter, the cocoons grow, and along with this, roots grow inside the water-absorbing material for plant cultivation from the middle of the cocoons. The growing base material is made of cotton or fabric softer than wood. For this reason, the way to stretch the roots of the cocoons is better than when parasitic on natural wood.
In addition, a water-absorbing polymer is supported on the plant-growing water-absorbing material, and the cotton and / or fabric constituting the growing substrate is made of synthetic fiber. Therefore, plants can be cultivated satisfactorily over a long period of time without culture soil. In particular, in the case of a plant (such as Air Plants) in which the leaf absorbs moisture in the air, the water evaporated from the water-absorbing polymer can be obtained simply by placing a plant-growing water-absorbing material in the vicinity of the plant, for example. Absorbed from the leaves, the plant grows.

The invention described in claim 2 is a plant-growing support column in which a water-absorbing material for plant growth in which a water-absorbing polymer is supported on a growth base material made of synthetic cotton and / or synthetic fabric is provided around the outer periphery of the column main body.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, for example, a cocoon plant is wound around the water-absorbing material for plant growth arranged around the support body. Then, the water absorbing material for plant cultivation is exposed to rain water or sprinkled with water. As a result, the water-absorbing polymer supported on the growth substrate absorbs water and swells.
Thereafter, the cocoon grows, and the root enters the water absorbing material for plant cultivation from the middle of the cocoon. The growing substrate is made of cotton or fabric that is softer than wood. For this reason, the way to stretch the roots of the cocoons is better than when parasitic on natural wood.
Further, the water absorbing material for plant growth carries a water absorbing polymer, and the cotton or fabric constituting the growing base is made of synthetic fiber.

The material of the column main body is preferably one having corrosion resistance. As a result, it is possible to make the support column difficult to rot and excellent in durability. As a material of the column main body having corrosion resistance, for example, various trees (including bamboo), various metals, various synthetic resins, various ceramics, and the like can be employed. The column main body may be a solid body having no cavity inside, or may be a hollow body such as bamboo. Further, a hollow body (such as bamboo) vertically divided into two may be used. Further, for example, a frame having a cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the length direction may have an H shape, an I shape, an L shape, a U shape, or the like.

According to invention of Claim 3, when a growth base material contains a flame retardant, the water absorbing material for plant cultivation or the support | pillar for plant growth becomes difficult to burn. Unlike the conventional water retention body for plants embedded in the soil, the water absorbing material for plant growth or the column for plant growth of the present invention is used by being exposed to an indoor space or the like. Therefore, it is preferable to take fire prevention measures in this way. Moreover, when an antibacterial agent is included in the growth base material, it is possible to prevent the water contained in the water-absorbing polymer from being spoiled and causing germs and the like to propagate.

Only the flame retardant may be included in the growth base material, or only the antibacterial agent may be included. Moreover, you may include both a flame retardant and an antibacterial agent.
As the flame retardant, for example, hydrated metal compounds typified by aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide can be employed. The content of the flame retardant is not limited.
Examples of the antibacterial agent include inorganic antibacterial agents such as silver, copper, and zinc zeolite, and organic antibacterial agents such as [2- (4′-thiazolyl) -benzimidazole and 10,10′-oxybisphenoxyarsine, etc. Can be adopted. The content of the antibacterial agent is not limited.
The inclusion of a flame retardant or antibacterial agent means that a predetermined amount of the flame retardant or antibacterial agent is added to the raw material during the production of the growth base material, or after the production of the growth base material, An agent may be attached.

According to the plant-growing water-absorbing material according to claim 1 and the plant-growing support column according to claim 2, the plant-growing water-absorbing material provided around the outer periphery of the plant-growing column is used as a growth substrate. A water-absorbing polymer is supported. In addition, the growth base is made of cotton or fabric made of synthetic fibers. Thereby, even if there is no culture soil, a plant can be grown well over a long period of time.

In particular, in the case of the support for growing plants according to claim 2, if the support body is made of, for example, a material having high hardness and hardly perishes (it is difficult to rust in the case of a metal material), it is excellent in durability, and is further extended. A plant can be cultivated satisfactorily.

Moreover, according to the water absorbing material for plant cultivation or the support | pillar for plant growth of Claim 3, when a flame retardant is included in the growth base material, the water absorbing tape for plant growth becomes difficult to burn. Moreover, when the growth base material contains an antibacterial agent, the water retained in the water-absorbing polymer is difficult to rot and the odor can be suppressed.

1 to 4, reference numeral 10 denotes a plant-growing support column according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention. The plant-growing support column 10 has a plant-growing sheet (for plant growth) on the outer periphery of a water-proof column body 11. A water-absorbing material) 12 is provided around (FIGS. 2 and 3), and a plant-growing tape (water-absorbing material for plant-growing) 13 is spirally wound and solidified into a column shape (FIG. 4). .
The column body 11 is a solid square bar having no internal cavity made of polyethylene resin having a length of 3 cm, a width of 3 cm, and a height of 1 m.
The plant-growing sheet 12 is obtained by dispersing and supporting a predetermined amount of a water-absorbing polymer 15 that absorbs water on a sheet base material (growing base material) 14 in which cotton and nonwoven fabric (fabric) are mixed. The sheet base material 14 is 1 m long and 50 cm wide.

The plant growing tape 13 is obtained by dispersing and supporting a predetermined amount of the water-absorbing polymer 15 on a tape substrate (growing substrate) 16 made of a nonwoven fabric (fabric) having a width of several centimeters. The cotton and non-woven fabric for the sheet base material and the non-woven fabric for the tape base material are each made of polypropylene fibers. A predetermined amount of a flame retardant dedicated to the synthetic resin and an antibacterial agent dedicated to the synthetic resin are attached to the tape substrate 16.
The water absorbing polymer 15 is a powder of a thermoplastic nonionic water absorbing resin. Moreover, a granular material may be sufficient. An appropriate amount of the water-absorbing polymer 15 is dispersed on the tape substrate 16 after production.

Next, a pothos growing method using the plant growing prop 10 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described.
As shown in FIG. 1, first, a plant-growing support column 10 is erected in a flower pot 17 containing culture soil. Next, the pothos planted in the culture soil is spirally wound around the support 10 for plant growth (see also FIG. 4). Then, water is sprinkled on the support 10 for plant growth. As a result, the water-absorbing polymer 15 carried on the sheet base material 14 and the tape base material 16 absorbs water and swells.
Thereafter, the pothos grows, and along with this, roots are generated between the knots of the pothos, and this enters the outer periphery of the plant-growing column 10. The sheet base material 14 and the tape base material 16 are made of synthetic cotton or nonwoven fabric softer than wood. As a result, the roots of pothos are better than when they are parasitic on natural wood.
Further, the water-absorbing polymer 15 is attached to the plant-growing struts 10, and the synthetic cotton or nonwoven fabric constituting the sheet base material 14 and the tape base material 16 is made of polypropylene fiber that is not easily spoiled. Therefore, even if there is no culture soil, the pothos can be grown well over a long period of time.

Furthermore, the support | pillar main body 11 is made from a polyethylene resin, and the support | pillar 10 for plant cultivation is hard to rot, and is excellent in durability. As a result, coupled with the point that the above-mentioned sheet base material 14 and tape base material 16 are made of polypropylene, the pothos can be grown well over a longer period of time.
And since the flame retardant was made to adhere to the sheet | seat base material 14 and the tape base material 16, the support | pillar 10 for plant growth containing the tape 13 for plant growth becomes difficult to burn. In addition, since the antibacterial agent is attached to the sheet base material 14 and the tape base material 16, it is possible to prevent the water contained in the water-absorbing polymer 15 from being spoiled and causing germs to propagate.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5, when growing an air plant that grows by absorbing moisture in the air, the air plant is directly grown on the outer periphery of the plant growing column 10 or the air plant The water evaporating from the water-absorbing polymer 15 is absorbed from the leaves and the air plant grows only by leaving the plant-growing support column 10 in an arbitrary state such as vertically or horizontally in the vicinity.

Next, with reference to FIGS. 6-9, the plant growth support | pillar which concerns on Example 2 of this invention is demonstrated.
As shown in FIGS. 6-9, in Example 2 of this invention, the support | pillar 10A for plant cultivation hung from a ceiling etc. is employ | adopted. The plant-growing support 10A is made of a hard aluminum-made support body 11A having a bowl shape, a plurality of cardboard pieces (growing substrate) 20 housed in the support body 11A, and a plant wound around the outer periphery of the support body 11A. A growing sheet 12, a plant growing tape 13 that is spirally wound from above the plant growing sheet 12, and a hanging string 21 that suspends the column main body 11 </ b> A in a horizontal state are provided.

Corrugated cardboard is a packaging material having a three-dimensional structure in which, for example, corrugated paper having an undulation width of about several millimeters is interposed between a front cover and a back paper. The powdered water supply polymer 15 is filled in the inside of the corrugated cardboard piece 20 obtained by finely cutting it, that is, in many pores existing between the front and back paper and the corrugated paper.
The water supply polymer 15 is attached to the plant growing sheet 12 and the plant growing tape 13 as in the first embodiment.
As the paint, water-based paint or oil-based paint is adopted. In addition, water-based paint, ink, etc. may be used. The color of the paint is preferably one that makes you imagine a dark green, brown, or black soil.

A method for producing the plant growing support 10A will be described.
First, a plurality of corrugated cardboard pieces 20 are stored in the column main body 11A with the length direction oriented horizontally (FIG. 7). Since the column main body 11A has a bowl shape, it is easy to hold water, fertilizer, and the like inside the plant growing column 10A. Next, the plant-growing sheet 12 is wound around the outer periphery of the column main body 11A with a predetermined thickness (FIG. 8). Then, the plant growing tape 13 is spirally wound on the plant growing sheet 12 (FIG. 9). Furthermore, paint is applied from above and dried. The paint becomes an adhesive for fixing the plant growing tape 13 when dried. Thereafter, a single hanging strap 21 is bridged between both ends of the column main body 11A in the length direction, and the plant growing column 10A is manufactured (FIG. 6).
At the time of use of the plant growing support 10A, a predetermined number of air plants are planted at a constant pitch on the upper layer portion of the plant growing support 10A. The plant-growing support 10A may be set on a pot soil (not shown). Alternatively, it may be placed on a veranda or floor.
Other configurations, operations, and effects are the same as those in the first embodiment, and thus description thereof is omitted.
