Description

The present invention relates to a subcarrier selection method for realizing high-speed and high-quality transmission and effective use of frequencies in an environment where a wireless communication system to which a multicarrier transmission scheme is applied uses the same frequency band as other wireless communication systems. .

In general, a wireless communication system is operated in a so-called multipath radio wave propagation environment in which transmitted radio waves reach a receiver via various transmission paths. Under such a multipath radio wave propagation environment, a signal that arrives late interferes with a signal that arrives earlier (called intersymbol interference), and degradation of transmission characteristics becomes a problem. In particular, this problem becomes a serious problem because the length of a symbol for transmitting information becomes shorter as the signal transmission speed increases.

On the other hand, in the multicarrier transmission system that performs parallel transmission using a plurality of subcarriers, the symbol length for transmitting information can be increased even when the signal transmission rate is increased. It is possible to reduce deterioration.

Particularly, since the OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) method uses subcarriers orthogonal to each other on the frequency axis, the subcarrier interval can be reduced and the frequency can be used effectively (see, for example, Non-Patent Document 1).

As an example of a wireless communication system using the OFDM system, there is an IEEE 802.11a standard wireless LAN that realizes a transmission speed of 54 Mbps at the maximum. The IEEE802.11a standard wireless LAN uses a frequency band of 5 GHz, uses 52 subcarriers per channel, and occupies 16.6 MHz. However, since the guard band is taken into consideration, the channel interval is 20 MHz (for example, see Non-Patent Document 2).

The frequency band used in the wireless LAN varies depending on the frequency allocation policy in each country, but the number of channels is about 4 to 12. For example, in Japan, 4 channels from 5.25 GHz to 5.35 GHz are used. In wireless LAN, a collision avoidance type carrier sense multiple access (CSMA / CA) system is applied to avoid data collision. In the CSMA / CA method, when a signal is transmitted, the wireless LAN terminal performs carrier sense in advance to check whether other wireless LAN terminals are using the channel. When a channel is used, the transmission time is shifted so as not to cause interference between wireless LAN terminals, or a signal is transmitted using a different channel.

In general, when there are a plurality of wireless communication systems, in principle, each system is assigned a different frequency band, and each system is operated within the assigned frequency band. For this reason, even if the systems are operated geographically close to each other, no interference occurs between the systems.

However, a radar, a satellite system, or the like may be operated in the 5 GHz band used by the IEEE802.11a standard wireless LAN. When they are used geographically close to each other, radio wave interference occurs between different systems, resulting in a situation in which communication quality deteriorates or communication is impossible in a wireless communication system such as a wireless LAN.

On the other hand, a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) technique for avoiding interference with other systems in the wireless LAN of the IEEE802.11a standard has been studied. This technology detects radar waves at wireless LAN access points. When a radar wave is detected, the channel is changed to a channel different from the frequency of the radar wave for other terminals connected to the access point. As a result, interference with radar waves can be avoided. However, in DFS in a wireless LAN, even in a situation where some frequency bands in one channel are subject to interference, the channel that is not subject to interference is also changed. Further, interference received from other systems can be avoided, but interference given to other systems is not considered.

Alard, “Principle of modulation and channel coding for digital broadcasting for mobile receivers,” EBU Review, No.224, August 1987 Wireless LAN Medium Access Control (MAC) and Physical Layer (PHY) Specifications; High Speed Physical Layer (PHY) in the 5 GHz Band, IEEE Stdl802.11a, 1999 H. As described above, the multicarrier transmission method is an effective transmission method for realizing high-speed transmission, and is a method for transmitting a different signal for each subcarrier.

However, when a plurality of wireless communication systems use the same frequency band, the conventional interference avoidance technique changes the subcarrier even when only a part of the frequency band of the channel used for communication receives interference. There's a problem.

In addition, since the channel is changed in consideration of interference received from another wireless communication system, there is a problem that the channel change is not performed in consideration of the frequency band of the channel used by the other wireless communication system.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a radio communication system, a transmission radio station control apparatus, a reception radio station control apparatus, and a subcarrier selection method for selecting subcarriers that are not affected by interference from other radio communication systems. FIG. 1 is a diagram for explaining an example of frequency allocation to a plurality of radio communication systems. Here, the system 1, the system 2, and the system 3 are wireless communication systems in which at least one of the usage form and the communication method is different. FIG. 1A shows an allocation example when each system uses the same frequency band, and FIG. 1B shows an allocation example when a part of the frequency band used by each system overlaps.

In FIG. 1A, the frequency bands assigned to the system 1, the system 2, and the system 3 are the same. In this case, the system 1 needs to consider the interference of the systems 2 and 3.

In FIG. 1B, the frequency band allocated to the system 2 is included in the frequency band allocated to the system 1, and the frequency band allocated to the system 3 includes the frequency band allocated to the system 1 and a part thereof. Duplicate. In this case, the system 1 needs to consider the interference that the allocated frequency band receives from other systems.

FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining an example in which a plurality of wireless communication systems are deployed in the same region. System 1, system 2 and system 3 are used geographically overlapping for different purposes. The system 3 is deployed in an area covered by the system 1, and the system 2 is deployed in an area where the system 1 and the system 3 partially overlap each other.

As shown in FIG. 2, different systems use the same frequency band and are deployed in the same region, so that the systems interfere with each other.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the system 1 shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 will be described, and a channel is allocated in consideration of interference of other radio communication systems (system 2 and system 3), thereby achieving high quality. A case where efficient frequency utilization is realized while maintaining communication quality will be described.

Next, a control flow at the time of communication setting in the wireless communication system according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described. The radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes a transmitting radio station 1 and a receiving radio station 2.

As shown in FIG. 3, first, the transmitting radio station 1 makes a communication request to the receiving radio station 2 using, for example, a control channel (step S10). Then, when receiving the notification of the communication request confirmation from the receiving radio station 2 (step S11), the transmitting radio station 1 detects the usage status of the frequency band of the other radio communication system (system 2, system 3) ( Step S12). Next, a transmission subcarrier is determined based on the detection result (step S13). Next, a multicarrier signal is generated using the determined transmission subcarrier (step S14), and transmitted to the receiving radio station 2 using a communication channel (step S15).

When receiving the multicarrier signal transmitted from the transmitting radio station 1, the receiving radio station 2 specifies a subcarrier to be received. Next, the receiving radio station 2 demodulates the signal of the specified subcarrier and reproduces the transmitted data (step S17).

Next, the configuration of the wireless communication system according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.

As described above, the radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes a pair of transmission radio stations 1 and reception radio stations 2 that are to establish communication.

The transmission radio station 1 includes a multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 including an antenna, a transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 connected to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1, and a transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2. The other system interference detection unit 1-3 connected to.

The transmission radio station 1 inputs transmission data to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 and performs multicarrier modulation using a plurality of subcarriers, thereby generating a multicarrier signal and transmitting it from the transmission unit. In this case, the other system interference detection unit 1-3 is based on the information of the receiving radio station 2 and the higher-level control station (not shown), and other radio communication systems arranged in the vicinity, for example, the radio stations of the system 2 and the system 3 And detects the detection result to the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2. The transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 determines the number and frequency of subcarriers so as not to overlap with a frequency band used by another wireless communication system, and uses the determined subcarriers for transmission. The generation unit 1-1 is controlled. The multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 generates a multicarrier signal using the subcarrier specified by the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2.

On the other hand, the reception radio station 2 includes a multicarrier signal demodulation unit 2-1 including an antenna, and a reception subcarrier control unit 2-2 connected to the multicarrier signal demodulation unit 2-1.

The receiving radio station 2 demodulates the received multicarrier signal and reproduces the transmitted data. In this case, the reception subcarrier control unit 2-2 detects the number and frequency of subcarriers used for signal transmission, and designates a subcarrier to be demodulated from the multicarrier signal. The multicarrier signal demodulator 2-1 demodulates the subcarrier designated by the reception subcarrier controller 2-2.

With such a configuration, the radio communication system according to the present embodiment is configured so that, even when a plurality of radio communication systems using the same frequency are used in close proximity, the frequency band used by other radio communication systems Since the number of subcarriers and the frequency can be determined so as not to overlap, the interference given to other wireless communication systems can be reduced, and the transmission quality can be improved and the frequency can be effectively used.

Next, the configuration of the receiving radio station in the radio communication system according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The reception radio station 2 in the radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes an antenna 2-10 that receives a multicarrier signal, a reception signal separation unit 2-11 and a demodulation unit that are connected to the antenna 2-10, and reception signal separation. A frequency band designating unit 2-12 for measuring the amount of interfered signal connected to the unit 2-11 and one or a plurality of interfered signal power measuring units 2-131 to 2-13N connected to the received signal separating unit 2-11. And one or a plurality of other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N connected to the interfered signal power measurement units 2-131 to 2-13N, and other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2, respectively. -Interference signal power threshold value setting unit 2-15 connected to each of -14N, available subcarrier detection unit 2-16 connected to other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, It can connected to the sub-carrier detector 2-16 and a usable subcarrier information notifying unit 2-17.

The multicarrier signal received by the antenna 2-10 is input to the demodulation unit and input to the reception signal separation unit 2-11 in order to detect an available subcarrier. In the frequency band designation unit 2-12 for measuring the amount of interference, the entire frequency band (system band) that can be used by the wireless communication system is subdivided into a plurality of frequency bands for measuring the amount of interference, and the received signal is separated. Notification to the unit 2-11.

Here, the example of determining the amount of interference measured for the frequency band B I, will be described with reference to FIG.

First, for example, B I = B sub (1), B I = 2 × B sub (2), B I = 4 × B sub (3) with reference to the frequency band B sub per subcarrier as a whole system band. ). Reception signal separator 2-11 of the N respective received signal B I (N is a positive integer) to separate the signals. For example, when B I = B sub , the reception signal separation unit 2-11 separates the reception signal for each subcarrier. The interfered signal power measuring units 2-131 to 2-13N measure the interfered signal power for the separated N signals. For example, the interfered signal power is measured for a signal separated for each subcarrier. Here, the interference refers to interference (interfered) that the receiving radio station 2 receives from a signal transmitted from one or a plurality of transmitting radio stations 1.

Then, the other system usage state determination units 2-141 to 2-14N compare the measured interfered signal power with an interfered amount threshold, for example, an interfered signal power threshold. If the measured interfered signal power exceeds the interfered signal power threshold, it is determined that the subcarrier is subject to interference by another wireless communication system, for example, system 2 and system 3, and the measured interfered signal When the signal power is smaller than the interfered signal power threshold, it is determined that there is no influence of interference by another wireless communication system even if the subcarrier is used for transmission. Here, as the interfered signal power threshold value, for example, an interfered signal power value capable of maintaining a desired communication quality is used.

In the usable subcarrier detection unit 2-16, the number of subcarriers and subcarriers that do not cause deterioration in transmission characteristics due to the influence of the interfered signal based on the determination results in the other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N Detect frequency.

Here, an example of the detection result of the subcarriers made available by the determination using the interfered signal power measured for each subcarrier (B I = B sub ) and the interfered signal power threshold is shown in FIG. Shown in If the measured interfered signal power (measured interfered amount) exceeds the interfered signal power threshold (interfered amount threshold), the subcarrier is determined to be unusable, and the measured interfered signal is measured. When the power is smaller than the interfered signal power threshold, it is determined that the subcarrier is usable.

The detected subcarrier information such as the number of subcarriers and the subcarrier frequency is notified to the transmitting radio station 1 via the usable subcarrier information notifying unit 2-17 as usable subcarrier information.

With such a configuration, in the wireless communication system according to the present embodiment, the usage status of another wireless communication system can be determined based on the interfered signal power, so that not only during communication but also when setting up a communication line, it is accurate. Available subcarriers can be detected.

In addition, since the subcarriers used for transmission can be determined in consideration of the influence of interference from other wireless communication systems in the receiving wireless station 2, it is possible to improve transmission quality and effectively use frequencies.

Although the case where the interfered signal power is measured as the amount of interference is described here, the sum of the interfered signal power and the noise power may be measured. In this case, for example, a value of the sum of interfered signal power and noise power capable of maintaining desired communication quality is used as the interference amount threshold.

Next, the configuration of the receiving radio station 2 in the radio communication system according to the third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The reception radio station 2 in the radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes an antenna 2-10 that receives a multicarrier signal, a reception signal separation unit 2-11 and a demodulation unit that are connected to the antenna 2-10, and a reception signal separation. A frequency band specifying unit 2-12 for measuring the amount of interference connected to the unit 2-11, one or more desired signal power measuring units 2-181 to 2-18N connected to the reception signal separating unit 2-11, and Interfered signal power measuring units 2-131 to 2-13N, and corresponding ones connected to desired signal power measuring units 2-181 to 2-18N and interfered signal power measuring units 2-131 to 2-13N, respectively. Alternatively, one or more of the desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio calculation units 2-191 to 2-19N and the desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio calculation units 2-191 to 2-19N, respectively. Other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, interfered signal power threshold value setting unit 2-15 connected to other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, and other systems An available subcarrier detection unit 2-16 connected to the usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, and an available subcarrier information notification unit 2-17 connected to the available subcarrier detection unit 2-16; Is provided.

In the radio communication system according to the present embodiment, the desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio is used as the amount of interference. Similar to the receiving radio station 2 described with reference to FIG. 5, to measure the interference signal power for the N signal for each B I. Desired signal power measurement units 2-181 to 2-18N measure the desired signal power of each signal.

The desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio calculation units 2-191 to 2-19N are the desired signal power measured by the desired signal power measurement units 2-181 to 2-18N and the interfered signal power measurement units 2-131 to The ratio with the interfered signal power measured by 2-13N is calculated. For example, in the case of B I = B sub , the other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N determine other radio communication systems, for example, the system 2 and the interfering signal power ratio for each subcarrier. The usage status in the frequency band by the system 3 is detected, and usable subcarriers are detected. In this case, for example, a desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio that can maintain a desired communication quality is used as the threshold value.

The detected subcarrier information is notified to the transmitting radio station 1 via the available subcarrier information notifying unit 2-17.

With such a configuration, another radio communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention can detect a subcarrier capable of maintaining the reception quality of a desired signal during communication with high accuracy.

Although the case where the desired signal power to interfered signal power ratio is measured as the amount of interference has been described here, the desired signal power to interfered signal power and noise power ratio may be measured. In this case, as the interference amount threshold value, for example, values of desired signal power to interfered signal power and noise power ratio capable of maintaining desired communication quality are used.

Next, the configuration of the receiving radio station 2 in the radio communication system according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

A receiving radio station in a radio communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an antenna 2-10 that receives a multicarrier signal, a received signal separation unit 2-11 connected to the antenna 2-10, and a demodulation having an interference canceling function. , An interference amount measuring frequency band specifying unit 2-12 connected to the received signal separating unit 2-11, and one or a plurality of desired signal replica generating units 2- connected to the received signal separating unit 2-11 201 to 2-20N and interfered signal replica generation units 2-211 to 2-21N, and corresponding desired signal replica generation units 2-201 to 2-20N and interfered signal replica generation units 2-211 to 2-21N One or a plurality of error signal calculation units 2-221 to 2-22N and error signal calculation units 2-221 to 2-22N connected to the reception signal separation unit 2-11, respectively. One or a plurality of other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, and error signal threshold value setting unit 2-23 connected to other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, respectively. An available subcarrier detection unit 2-16 connected to the other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N, and an available subcarrier information notification unit connected to the available subcarrier detection unit 2-16 2-17.

In the wireless communication system according to the present embodiment, each of the demodulation unit and the interfered amount measurement unit has an interference signal removal function. For example, when replica generation type interference cancellation (see Non-Patent Document 3) is applied, the demodulation unit estimates the propagation path of the desired signal and the interference signal, and uses the estimated value of the propagation path and the candidate value of the desired signal and the interference signal. A desired signal replica, an interference signal replica, and a received signal replica that is the sum of them are generated. Next, the candidate of the desired signal and the interference signal that give the received signal replica closest to the actual received signal is determined, and the transmission data that outputs the desired signal candidate as the received signal determination result is reproduced.

On the other hand, in the interfered amount measuring unit including the desired signal replica generating units 2-201 to 2-20N and the interfered signal replica generating units 2-211 to 2-21N, the received signal calculated by the replica generating interference removing unit that using the error signal shown by the difference in signal obtained by removing the amount of interference from the received signal and the reception signal replica (the desired signal) as the interference amount is measured N number of error signals for each B I. For example, the other system usage status determination units 2-141 to 2-14N may use other wireless communication systems such as the system 2 and the system 3 depending on the magnitude of the error signal for each subcarrier when B I = B sub. The usage status in the frequency band is detected, and usable subcarriers are detected. The detected subcarrier information is notified to the transmitting radio station 1 via the available subcarrier information notifying unit 2-17. Here, as the interference amount threshold value, for example, an error signal value capable of maintaining desired communication quality is used.

With such a configuration, the radio communication system according to the present embodiment can detect a subcarrier capable of maintaining the reception quality of a desired signal during communication with high accuracy.

Next, the configuration of a transmitting radio station in the radio communication system according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The transmission radio station 1 in the radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes an antenna 1-10 that transmits a multicarrier signal, and a multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 that is connected to the antenna 1-10 and receives transmission data. And a transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 connected to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 and to which usable subcarrier information transmitted from the reception radio station 2 is input. The transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 also includes a subcarrier frequency designation unit 1-21 connected to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1, and a subcarrier number designation connected to the subcarrier frequency designation unit 1-21. Unit 1-22, transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 connected to subcarrier frequency specification unit 1-21 and subcarrier number specification unit 1-22, and transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 for reception A desired radio receiving station designation subcarrier information extracting unit 1-24 to which usable subcarrier information transmitted from the radio station 2 is input.

The transmission data is encoded and modulated by an encoder / modulator (not shown), and then converted to a multicarrier signal by a multicarrier signal generator 1-1. In the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2, the following processing is performed.

Desired radio receiving station designation subcarrier information extracting section 1-24 extracts usable subcarrier information from the signal notified from receiving radio station 2. The transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 determines the number of subcarriers and the subcarrier frequency used for transmission based on the extracted usable subcarrier information. The subcarrier number specifying unit 1-22 specifies the determined number of subcarriers, and the subcarrier frequency specifying unit 1-21 specifies the determined subcarrier frequency. The multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 generates a multicarrier signal based on the determined transmission subcarrier number and subcarrier frequency.

With such a configuration, the radio communication system according to the embodiment of the present invention can transmit signals using subcarriers that are not affected by interference in the reception radio station 2, thereby improving transmission quality and effective use of frequencies. Can be realized.

Next, the configuration of a transmitting radio station in the radio communication system according to the sixth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The transmission radio station 1 in the radio communication system according to the present embodiment includes an antenna 1-10 that transmits a multicarrier signal, and a multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 that is connected to the antenna 1-10 and receives transmission data. , Another radio communication system that is connected to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 and is held by each station from at least one of radio stations and higher control stations of other radio communication systems located in the vicinity, for example, the system 2 and And a transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 to which the frequency usage status of the system 3 is input.

The transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 also includes a subcarrier frequency designation unit 1-21 connected to the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1, and a subcarrier number designation connected to the subcarrier frequency designation unit 1-21. Unit 1-22, transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 connected to subcarrier frequency specification unit 1-21 and subcarrier number specification unit 1-22, and transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 connected to The other system radio station frequency usage status estimation unit 1- receives the frequency usage status of the other radio communication system held by each station from at least one of the radio station and the higher control station of the other radio communication system located in 25.

The other system radio station frequency usage status specifying unit 1-25 indicates the frequency usage status of the other radio communication system held by each station from the radio station of the other radio communication system or the upper control station using the radio communication system. collect. Next, the transmission subcarrier determination unit 1-23 determines the number of subcarriers and the subcarrier frequency that can prevent interference with other radio communication systems, based on the collected frequency usage statuses of other radio communication systems.

Similar to the transmission radio station described with reference to FIG. 10, the multicarrier signal generation unit 1-1 generates a multicarrier signal based on the determined and specified number of transmission subcarriers and subcarrier frequency.

With such a configuration, since the radio communication system according to the present embodiment can transmit using subcarriers that can prevent interference with other radio communication systems, it is possible to effectively use frequencies.

First, the transmitting radio station 1 makes a communication request to the receiving radio station 2 through, for example, a control channel (step S20). When a communication request confirmation notification is received from the receiving radio station 2 (step S21), the receiving radio station 2, the neighboring radio station 3 and the control are detected in order to detect the usage status of the frequency band by another system. An available subcarrier notification request is made to the station 4 (step S22, step S23, step S24).

The receiving radio station 2 detects subcarriers that can be used in the receiving radio station 2 based on the available subcarrier notification request (step S26), and notifies the transmitting radio station 1 of the available subcarriers (step S26). S27).

Similarly, the surrounding radio station 3 detects an available subcarrier based on the available subcarrier notification request, estimates the available subcarrier, and notifies the transmitting radio station 1 (step S28).

Upon receiving the available subcarrier notification request, the control station 4 makes an available subcarrier notification request to the control station 5 of the other system (step S25), and receives the notification of available subcarriers from the control station 5 of the other system. (Step S30). Further, the control station 4 detects available subcarriers in the control station 4, and determines available subcarriers based on the detected available subcarriers and available subcarriers received from the control station 5 of another system. Estimate and notify the transmitting radio station 1 (step S29).

The transmission radio station 1 determines a transmission subcarrier based on the available subcarrier information (available subcarrier notification response) notified from the reception radio station 2, the neighboring radio station 3, and the control station 4 (step S31). Next, encoding / modulation control is performed based on the determined transmission subcarrier (step S32). Next, a multicarrier signal is generated using the determined transmission subcarrier (step S33) and transmitted to the receiving radio station 2 (step S34).

When receiving the multicarrier signal, the receiving radio station 2 first specifies the subcarrier to be received (steps S35 and S36). Next, the signal of the identified subcarrier is demodulated and the transmitted data is reproduced (step S37).

The transmission data encoding / modulating unit 1 connected to the other system utilization information collecting unit 1-5, the multicarrier signal generating unit 1-1, and the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 connected to -4.

On the other hand, the receiving radio station 2 is connected to a signal separation unit 2-3 provided with an antenna, a multicarrier signal demodulation unit 2-1 connected to the signal separation unit 2-3, and a multicarrier signal demodulation unit 2-1. Received subcarrier specifying unit 2-5 and a used subcarrier detecting unit 2-4 connected to signal separating unit 2-3.

Based on the control of the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2, the transmission radio station 1 encodes and modulates transmission data by the transmission data encoding / modulation unit 1-4, and multi-carrier signal generation unit 1-1 Generate and transmit a carrier signal. In this case, the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 performs control based on the available subcarrier information collected by the other system usage information collection unit 1-5. In addition, the transmission subcarrier information designated by the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 is notified to the reception radio station 2 using, for example, a control channel.

The reception radio station 2 separates the reception signal in the signal separation unit 2-3. The multicarrier signal demodulation unit 2-1 demodulates the received multicarrier signal and reproduces the transmitted data. At this time, reception subcarrier designation section 2-5 extracts transmission subcarrier information from the notified signal and designates a subcarrier to be demodulated. Further, the usable subcarrier detection unit 2-4 detects usable subcarriers in response to the usable subcarrier notification request transmitted from the transmission radio station 1.

With such a configuration, the radio communication system according to the present embodiment can specify the subcarrier used for transmission with high accuracy, and can avoid deterioration in transmission quality due to demodulation of only the interference signal. .

Then, when receiving a communication request confirmation notification from the receiving radio station 2 (step S21), in order to detect the usage status of the frequency band by other radio communication systems, for example, the system 2 and the system 3, the receiving radio station 2 A subcarrier notification request is made available (step S22).

The receiving radio station 2 detects subcarriers that can be used in the receiving radio station 2 based on the available subcarrier notification request (step S26), and notifies the transmitting radio station 1 of the available subcarriers (step S26). S27).

The transmitting radio station 1 determines the transmitting subcarrier based on the information on the usable frequency band included in the usable subcarrier response notified from the receiving radio station 2 and the quality of service (QOS) information of the transmission data. Encoding / modulation control is performed (step S31, step S32). For example, the QOS information includes network quality such as bandwidth, speed, delay, and the quality of digitized voice and moving images. The transmission subcarrier information and signal processing parameters (encoding and modulation parameters) are notified to the receiving radio station 2 using, for example, a control channel (steps S40 and S41).

The receiving radio station 2 determines the receiving subcarrier and the encoding / modulation method based on the transmission multicarrier information and the encoding / modulation parameters (steps S43 and S44).

On the other hand, the transmitting radio station 1 generates a multicarrier signal using the determined transmission subcarrier information and encoding / modulation parameters (step S42), and transmits the multicarrier signal to the receiving radio station 2 via the communication channel (step S45). ).

The reception radio station 2 receives the multicarrier signal, demodulates the signal using the designated reception subcarrier and demodulation method, and reproduces the transmitted data (step S46).

Next, the configuration of the wireless communication system according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.

In addition to the available subcarrier information notified from the receiving radio station 2 described with reference to FIG. 9 and FIG. 10 and the frequency utilization status in radio stations of other radio communication systems, the transmission subcarrier control unit 1-2 A transmission subcarrier is determined according to an instruction from the QOS control unit 1-8 that controls QOS information determined according to transmission data.

Multicarrier signal generation section 1-1 generates a multicarrier signal based on the determined number of transmission subcarriers and subcarrier frequency. In this way, the necessary number of subcarriers can be flexibly changed according to QOS, and effective use of the frequency can be realized.

The encoding / modulation control unit 1-6 controls the encoding / modulation parameters according to the instruction from the QOS control unit 1-8 and the number of usable subcarriers. Also, the encoding / modulation information transmission unit 1-7 notifies the transmission radio carrier 2 of the transmission subcarrier information using, for example, a control channel. At this time, the reception subcarrier specifying unit 2-5 specifies a subcarrier to be demodulated, and the encoding / modulation control unit 2-6 specifies an encoding / modulation parameter. With such a configuration, transmission quality can be improved and frequency can be effectively used.
