Abstract
【解決手段】 リチウム二次電池1は,金属集電体と,この金属集電体に形成された活物質粉末,ポリオレフィン系重合体,および水溶性高分子を含む活物質層とを含んで成る。ポリオレフィン系重合体を陰極合剤と集電体との接着バインダとして使用するため,陰極板に使用するバインダの含量を減らすことができる。この結果,容量を増加させることができるとともに,寿命特性の向上が実現する。

Claims (24)
- 金属集電体と,
前記金属集電体に形成された活物質粉末,ポリオレフィン系重合体,および水溶性高分子を含む活物質層と,
を含んで成ることを特徴とする,リチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記ポリオレフィン系重合体は,
ポリエチレン,ポリプロピレン,およびこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記ポリオレフィン系重合体は,
前記活物質粉末100重量部に対し,0.1〜10重量部の量で使用されることを特徴とする,請求項1または2に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記水溶性高分子は,
カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC),ポリビニルアルコール,ポリビニルピロリドン,ポリアクリル酸,ポリメタクリル酸,ポリエチレンオキサイド,ポリアクリルアミド,ポリ−N−イソプロピルアクリルアミド,ポリ−N,N−ジメチルアクリルアミド,ポリエチレンイミン,ポリオキシエチレン,ポリ(2−メトキシエトキシエチレン),ポリ(3−モルピリニルエチレン),ポリビニルスルホン酸,ポリビニリデンフルオライド,アミロース,およびこれら2以上の混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記水溶性高分子は,
前記活物質粉末100重量部に対し0.1〜10重量部の範囲で含まれることを特徴とする,請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記活物質は,
リチウムを可逆的に吸蔵および放出可能な物質,リチウムとの合金化が可能な金属物質,およびこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記リチウムを可逆的に吸蔵および放出可能な物質は,
人造黒鉛,天然黒鉛,黒鉛化炭素繊維,黒鉛化メソカーボンマイクロビード,フラーレン(fullerene),および非晶質炭素から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記リチウムとの合金化が可能な金属は,
Al,Si,Sn,Pb,Zn,Bi,In,Mg,Ga,Cd,およびGeから成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記金属集電体は,
パンチングメタル,エックスパンチングメタル,金箔,発泡金属,網状金属繊維焼結体,ニッケル箔,および銅箔から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - さらに,導電材を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。
- 前記導電材は,
ニッケル粉末,酸化コバルト,酸化チタン,およびカーボンから成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 前記カーボンは,
ケッチェンブラック(Ketjenblack),アセチレンブラック,ファーネスブラック,黒鉛,炭素繊維,およびフラーレンから成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項11に記載のリチウム二次電池用陰極。 - 金属集電体と,
前記金属集電体に形成された活物質粉末,ポリオレフィン系重合体,および水溶性高分子を含む活物質層と,
を含んで成る陰極を含むことを特徴とする,リチウム二次電池。 - 前記ポリオレフィン系重合体は,
ポリエチレン,ポリプロピレン,およびこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項13に記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記ポリオレフィン系重合体は,
前記活物質粉末100重量部に対し,0.1〜10重量部の量で使用されることを特徴とする,請求項13または14に記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記水溶性高分子は,
カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC),ポリビニルアルコール,ポリビニルピロリドン,ポリアクリル酸,ポリメタクリル酸,ポリエチレンオキサイド,ポリアクリルアミド,ポリ−N−イソプロピルアクリルアミド,ポリ−N,N−ジメチルアクリルアミド,ポリエチレンイミン,ポリオキシエチレン,ポリ(2−メトキシエトキシエチレン),ポリ(3−モルピリニルエチレン),ポリビニルスルホン酸,ポリビニリデンフルオライド,アミロース,およびこれら2以上の混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項13〜15のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記水溶性高分子は,
前記活物質粉末100重量部に対し0.1〜10重量部の範囲で含まれることを特徴とする,請求項13〜16のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記活物質は,
リチウムを可逆的に吸蔵および放出可能な物質,リチウムとの合金化が可能な金属物質,およびこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項13〜17のいずれかに記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記リチウムを可逆的に吸蔵および放出可能な物質は,
人造黒鉛,天然黒鉛,黒鉛化炭素繊維,黒鉛化メソカーボンマイクロビード,フラーレン(fullerene),および非晶質炭素から成る群より選択される一であることを特徴とする,請求項18に記載のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記リチウムとの合金化が可能な金属は,
