Description
【0001】
たとえば、現在主流となっているアクセス方式の一つとしてTDMA(Time Division Multiple Access、時分割多元接続)方式がある。このTDMA方式を採用している主なアクセス方式として、日本のPDC(Personal Digital Cellular)、欧州を中心としたEGSM(Extend GlobalSystem for Mobile Communications GSM900とも呼ばれる)やDCS(Digital Cellular System GSM1800とも呼ばれる)、米国を中心としたGSM850、PCS(Personal Communications Service GSM1900とも呼ばれる)などがある。

図10に示す回路ブロックは特許文献1に開示されたEGSM(送信TX880〜915MHz 受信RX925〜960MHz)とDCS(送信TX1710〜1785MHz 受信RX1805〜1880MHz)のデュアルバンド携帯電話に用いる高周波回路部を示すものである。
SPDT(Single Pole
Double Throw
端子電極はLGA(Land Grid Array)、BGA(Ball Grid Array)等で形成されるが、特に限定されるものではない。
前記スイッチ回路35を含む高周波回路を適宜選定して構成すれば、他の通信システムを扱うことが可能であり、GSM850/EGSM/DCS、GSM850/EGSM/PCS、DCS/PCS/GSM850、DCS/PCS/EGSM、GSM850/EGSM/CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)、GSM850/EGSM/W−LAN(Wireless Local Area Network)、GSM850/EGSM/GPS(GLOBALPOSITIONING SYSTEM)、等々の3つ以上の異なる通信システムに対応することも当然可能である。
【0022】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a multi-band high-frequency transmitting / receiving module for a multi-band communication device such as a mobile phone that can use different access methods (communication systems).
[0002]
[Prior art]
There are various access methods for mobile phones in the world, and a plurality of access methods are mixed in each region. For example, one of the currently mainstream access methods is a TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) method. As main access methods adopting the TDMA method, there are PDC (Personal Digital Cellular) in Japan, EGSM (Extended Global System for Mobile Communications GSM900 also referred to as GSM900), and DCS (Digital Cellular System 800), mainly in Europe. GSM850 and PCS (also referred to as Personal Communications Services GSM1900) centered on the United States.
Table 1 summarizes the transmission / reception frequencies assigned to each access method.
[0003]
[Table 1]
[0004]
Conventional mobile phones are designed and used as mobile phones for one access method, for example, GSM. However, due to the recent increase in the number of users and convenience for users, dual-band or triple-band mobile phones that can use a plurality of access methods have been proposed, and there is also a demand for quatro-band mobile phones. In such a high-frequency circuit section of a multi-band mobile phone, a high-frequency component is simply required for each access method. (For example, Patent Document 1).
[0005]
[Patent Document 1] JP-A-11-225089
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The circuit block shown in FIG. 10 shows a high-frequency circuit portion used in a dual-band mobile phone of EGSM (TX 915 to 915 MHz, RX 925 to 960 MHz) and DCS (TX 1710 to 1785 MHz, RX 1805 to 1880 MHz) disclosed in Patent Document 1. It is. FIG. 11 shows an example of the equivalent circuit.
In this high-frequency circuit, a branching circuit connected to the antenna ANT separates high-frequency signals of EGSM and DCS to ensure isolation between circuits that handle communication systems having different passbands. However, there are the following problems when using very close frequency bands in different access methods such as GSM850 and EGSM, and DCS and PCS.
FIG. 12 shows a frequency map of GSM850 and EGSM. Here, it can be seen that the reception frequency band of GSM850 and a part of the transmission frequency band of EGSM overlap. In addition, the DCS reception frequency band and the PCS transmission frequency band partially overlap. For example, when an attempt is made to make a call using EGSM, a transmission signal in a part of the transmission frequency band of EGSM leaks to the switch circuit side on the GSM850 side via the branching circuit. A high-frequency switch circuit is connected to the branching circuit. However, the equivalent circuit shown in FIG. 11 has a problem related to isolation such as leakage into the receiving circuit RX via a transmission line (for example, LG2). The transmission signal leaked to the reception circuit side RX is input to a reception RF amplifier (not shown) via a band-pass filter (not shown) for handling the reception signal of GSM850, thereby deteriorating the communication quality of the mobile phone. .
[0007]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a high-frequency circuit component used in an access type multi-band mobile phone using a very close frequency band, which is excellent in isolation characteristics and small in size. .
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is arranged between a reception circuit or a transmission circuit of at least two communication systems (the reception frequency band of the first communication system and the transmission frequency of the second communication system partially overlap) and an antenna-side circuit. Multi-band high-frequency transmission and reception module provided with a demultiplexing circuit,
The multi-band high-frequency transceiver module attenuates frequency components other than a desired reception band by connecting in parallel unbalanced input-balanced output type band-pass filters having different pass frequency bands, and the first communication system and the first communication system. A first filter circuit that outputs a reception signal of the second communication system to the reception RF amplifier via the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit;
A first filter circuit disposed between the first filter circuit and the demultiplexer circuit; a connection between the demultiplexer circuit and the first filter circuit; and a connection between the first communication system and the second communication system. A second switch circuit for switching a connection between the transmission circuit and the demultiplexer circuit,
The demultiplexing circuit mainly has an inductance element and a capacitance element, the first switch circuit, the second switch circuit, and the third switch circuit mainly have a switching element, and the first filter circuit has a filter element. The main configuration,
A multiband high-frequency transceiver module in which the inductance element, the capacitance element, the switching element, and the filter element are built in or mounted on a laminated substrate including a dielectric layer and an electrode pattern.
[0009]
In the present invention, it is preferable that a phase shifter is connected between the filter element of the first filter circuit and the third switch circuit, and the phase shifter is formed of a transmission line and formed on the laminate. Is more preferred.
[0010]
In the present invention, it is preferable that a GaAs FET is used as a switching element of the first and second switch circuits, and a diode is used as a switching element of the third switch circuit.
[0011]

This multi-band high-frequency transmission / reception module is a multi-band high-frequency transmission / reception module that switches a signal path of a high-frequency signal between an antenna ANT and each transmission / reception circuit, in other words, selects a signal path for four communication systems.
In this embodiment, for simplicity of description, of the four communication systems, the first communication system f1 is GSM850, the second communication system f2 is EGSM, the third communication system f3 is DCS, and the fourth communication system is The system f4 is a PCS, but of course, the present invention is not limited to this.

Here, a plurality of GaAs FETs are connected in multiple stages in series to suppress the occurrence of distortion.
In a communication system such as GSM850 or EGSM, the transmission power is about +35 dBm. Therefore, it is preferable to use the diode switch circuit as the third switch circuit from the viewpoint of high frequency power to be handled.

FIG. 3 is an external perspective view in which the multi-band high-frequency transmitting / receiving module of the circuit block shown in FIG. 2 is formed on a laminated substrate. Although not shown in FIG. 3, a protective material such as a metal cap or an overcoat resin that covers the surface of the laminated substrate is disposed on the laminated substrate.
An inductance element, a capacitance element, and a switching element constituting a multiband high-frequency transmission / reception module are built in or mounted on the laminated substrate. The laminated substrate is obtained by forming a dielectric layer or a magnetic layer and an electrode pattern of a metal material such as Ag and Cu in a multilayered structure. The dielectric is a magnetic material such as a dielectric ceramic, a resin, or a mixture of a dielectric ceramic and a resin. Is soft ferrite or the like. There are cases where the inductance element is formed exclusively on the magnetic layer and the capacitance element is formed on the dielectric layer, and cases where the inductance element is formed only on the dielectric layer as the inductance element and the capacitance element. In some cases, layers having different dielectric constants are used, or layers having different magnetic permeability are used to form a multilayer structure on one laminated substrate. The laminated substrate is formed by cutting a sheet obtained by a known sheeting device such as a doctor blade, a lip coater, a calendar roll or the like into a predetermined shape, printing and forming the electrode pattern, laminating the electrode pattern in multiple layers, and pressing and firing. It can be obtained by tying.

On the back surface of the multilayer substrate, a side electrode formed on a side surface of the multilayer substrate or a terminal electrode connected to the circuit element via a via hole electrode formed in the multilayer substrate is formed. The terminal electrode is formed of LGA (Land Grid Array), BGA (Ball Grid Array), or the like, but is not particularly limited.
According to this embodiment, a small multi-band high-frequency transmitting / receiving module having an outer dimension of 5.4 mm × 4.0 mm × 1.8 mm (including a metal cap) was obtained.
