Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a technology for improving a front cover mounting stay of a motorcycle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In motorcycles such as scooter-type motorcycles and motorcycles, there is known a technique in which a front portion of a body frame is covered with a front cover, and cooling water for an engine is cooled by a radiator (for example, Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 1). 2).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-2002-19679 (page 12, FIG. 26-FIG. 27, FIG. 32)
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 60-53627 (page 1, FIG. 1 to FIG. 2)
[0004]
According to Patent Document 1, the prior art (1) covers the front part of the body frame and the upper part of the front wheel with a front cover, arranges an engine under the body frame, and arranges a radiator in front of the engine. Then, by connecting the engine and the radiator with a piping member, the cooling water of the engine is circulated and cooled by the radiator.
[0005]
According to
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above-mentioned prior art (1) is for piping various piping members along a vehicle body frame in a narrow space. The piping has a relatively complicated configuration and has many piping parts. There is room.
[0007]
On the other hand, the prior art (2) is limited to a configuration in which the radiator portion is disposed at the center of the body frame because the pipe frame extending rearward and downward from the head pipe also serves as a radiator for the engine. You. However, in order to exhibit the cooling effect of the radiator, it is necessary to enhance the heat exchange property of the motorcycle due to the traveling wind, so that it may be more preferable to dispose the radiator at the front of the vehicle body.
By the way, at the front of the vehicle body, there is a front cover that covers the front of the vehicle body frame. The front cover is supported on the body frame by stays. For this reason, piping parts and stays connecting the engine and the radiator are concentrated in the front cover. In addition, since the piping has a relatively complicated configuration, and there are many piping components, there is room for improvement.
[0008]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to reduce the piping cost of piping for liquid such as cooling water circulating in an engine, and to reduce stays and piping supporting the front cover in the front cover. It is an object of the present invention to provide a technology that can be alleviated.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, claim 1 is a motorcycle in which a front cover for covering a front portion of a body frame is supported by the body frame via a stay, and at least a part of the stay is formed of a pipe. The pipe is formed as a part of a liquid pipe so that a liquid such as cooling water circulating in the engine can be passed through the pipe.
[0010]
At least a part of the stay supporting the front cover is formed of a pipe, and this pipe is used as a part of the liquid pipe, so that liquid such as cooling water circulating in the engine can be passed through the pipe. Since the stay also serves as a part of the liquid pipe, the number of pipe parts can be reduced, so that the pipe cost can be reduced. Furthermore, since the stay also serves as a part of the liquid pipe, concentration of the stay and the liquid pipe in the front cover can be reduced, and the weight can be reduced. For this reason, the degree of freedom of design around the front cover is increased, and the size and weight of the motorcycle can be reduced, and the degree of freedom of design can be increased.
For example, when the engine is arranged on the vehicle body frame and the radiator is arranged in front of the head pipe, the pipe connecting the engine and the radiator passes near the head pipe. In the vicinity of the head pipe, a stay for passing the front cover covering the front part of the head pipe to the vehicle body frame is also passed. Such a stay can be used for a part of the liquid pipe.
[0011]
A second aspect of the present invention is characterized in that the front cover has an inlet through which outside air can be taken in and flown around the pipe.
Since the front cover is provided with an inlet through which outside air can be taken and flowed around the pipe, the liquid flowing through the pipe can be cooled by the outside air. The cooling effect is enhanced because the liquid passing through the pipe is cooled. For example, in the case where the cooling water of the engine is circulated and cooled by the radiator, the cooling capacity of the radiator can be reduced by the cooling effect of the pipe. As a result, the size of the radiator can be reduced.
[0012]
The third aspect is characterized in that cooling fins are provided on the outer surface of the pipe.
Since the cooling fins are provided on the outer surface of the pipe, the cooling efficiency for cooling the liquid flowing in the pipe with the outside air can be further improved. Further, the cooling fins can also function as a reinforcing member for the pipe.
[0013]

【The invention's effect】
The present invention has the following effects by the above configuration.
According to a first aspect of the present invention, at least a part of the stay for supporting the front cover is formed of a pipe, and the pipe is used as a part of a liquid pipe, so that a liquid such as cooling water circulating in the engine passes through the pipe. be able to.
[0178]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the front cover is provided with an inlet through which outside air can be taken and flowed around the pipe, so that the liquid flowing in the pipe can be cooled by the outside air.
[0179]
According to the third aspect, since the cooling fins are provided on the outer surface of the pipe, the cooling efficiency of cooling the liquid flowing in the pipe with the outside air can be further improved. Further, the cooling fins can also function as a reinforcing member for the pipe.
