電磁調理器は、誘導加熱コイルの上に非結晶化ガラス等のトッププレートを配したものである。そして、電気抵抗の大きな素材を用いた電磁調理器具をトッププレート上に載せて調理する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、電気抵抗の小さなアルミ等を用いた調理器具は電磁調理器では使用できなかった。従って、それまでガスコンロを使用していた家庭が、電磁調理器に買い換えた場合には、アルミ鍋等の直火加熱用の調理器具が使えなくなった。また、電磁調理器を有する家庭では調理器具を購入する際に、直火加熱用の方がデザイン的に好みであったとしても、電磁加熱用の調理器具を選択しなければならなかった。本発明は上記実情を考慮して開発されたもので、その目的は、直火加熱用の調理器具であっても電磁調理器で使用できるようにすることである。

本発明の電磁調理器用プレートは図1に示すように発熱板1の表面全域に遠赤外線放射体の粒を溶射して皮膜2を形成したものである。

発熱板1は、電磁誘導によって発熱する素材であれば良く、例えば、鉄、ステンレスの単一成分系、或いはアルミニウムやアルミニウム合金の板表面に鉄を溶射した複数成分系のもの等が挙げられる。発熱板1は、遠赤外線放射体からなる被膜2との接触面積を増やすことが遠赤外線の放出効果を高める上で望ましく、それには表面を粗面にする。例えば、表面を波形状に起伏させるものとし、一つの波のピッチPを3mm程度とする。

本発明は、発熱板の表面に遠赤外線放射体からなる被膜又は板を有していることから、この遠赤外線放射体の上に直火加熱用の調理器具を置いて電磁調理器で調理すれば、発熱板からの熱が皮膜又は板を経て調理器具内に伝えられると共に、発熱板で熱せられた遠赤外線放射体からの遠赤外線による熱が調理器具内に伝えられる。従って、このような相乗作用によって、短時間で調理できるようになる。その結果、電磁調理器に買い換えた後に残っているアルミ鍋等の直火加熱用の調理器具が使用できるし、また、電磁調理器を有する家庭では、直火加熱用の調理器具を購入することもでき、購入時の選択が広がる。
