An alkoxysilane monomer having a radically polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group such as propyltriethoxysilane and 3-methacryloxybutyltrimethoxysilane is used.
[0016]
These alkoxysilane monomers are hydrolyzed under acidic conditions by the following formula: R n SiO (4-n) / 2 (where R is a hydrocarbon group bonded to a silicon atom, and n is 2 or 3). Polycondensation to an organopolysiloxane having a repeating unit.
[0017]
In the emulsion polymerization of the emulsion, an acrylic monomer and another ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith are separately dropped into a surfactant aqueous solution at the same time as a silane monomer, or one of the monomers is dropped. It can be carried out by starting the dropping of the other monomer after or during the dropping. The sequential dropping may be performed several times. The radical polymerization initiator is added before or simultaneously with the dropping of the acrylic monomer.
