Abstract
Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a program, a recording medium, a game device, and an image processing device, and in particular, by displaying a radar screen effectively according to the distance to the enemy character and the number of enemy characters, the degree of risk from the enemy character Video game program that can sense a sense of urgency, and can be felt by an enemy character, a computer-readable recording medium that records the video game program, and a game device that controls the video game And an image processing method of a video game.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in home video games, a technique (game) for displaying a radar screen indicating the position of a player character or another character (including a friend character) in a three-dimensional virtual space on a normal game screen is widely used. Are known. It is important to know the number and distance of enemies and allies, but it is also important here to know the direction from the player character to other characters. Can be an advantage.
[0003]
As a technique for displaying the radar screen so as to overlap the game screen, a radar screen indicating the position of the player character in the entire scene is displayed overlapping at a predetermined position on the game screen, and the size of the displayed radar screen is displayed. There is one that changes the height according to the operation of the operator (for example, see Patent Document 1).
Further, as a technique for displaying a radar screen so as to overlap the game screen, a portion near the position of the player character that moves in response to the operation of the operator in the game space is displayed on the screen to indicate the position of the player character in the game space. There is a technique in which a radar screen is superimposed on a game screen and the size of the radar screen is changed according to the operation of the operator (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
[0004]
Also, in the video game, the position of the player character in the three-dimensional virtual space (or the position when the player is actually in the three-dimensional virtual space, more specifically, the position of the surface of the screen in the screen coordinate system). A technique (game) that realizes a three-dimensional acoustic space centered on a position or an actual position of a player (sitting) and a distance between screens) is widely known.
[0005]
In this technique, for example, when an enemy character that emits sound is behind the player character, the enemy character is in a direction that can be actually heard by the player. Therefore, by changing the direction of the player character by operating the controller You can change the viewpoint, display enemy characters, and fight.
[0006]
Furthermore, in the video game, a technology is disclosed in which when an enemy character approaches the player character, a vibration function such as an input device operates to warn the player by vibration.
[0007]
As a technique for alerting the player with vibration, for example, the distance between the player character or the friend character and the enemy character is acquired as game situation data relating to the future danger or opportunity for at least one of the player character or the friend character. There is one that vibrates a vibrator built in the controller based on the acquired distance (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
In addition, as a technique for warning the player by vibration, it is determined whether or not the situation where the character operated by the player during the game progress is in a specific situation, and the character is placed in the specific situation. Some of them generate vibration when it is determined that they are present (see, for example, Patent Document 4). The present invention is characterized in that no indication relating to the degree of danger is given, and the danger can be sensed only by vibration so as not to be known to others.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, video game players not only enjoy the fun of quickly destroying the opponent and ending the game quickly, but also how to clear the difficulty and destroy the opponent, Some of them find interesting things.
[0010]
For this reason, as described above, the player can visually confirm other characters such as teammates and enemy characters by looking at the radar screen, and can easily advance the game in a battle etc. However, there is a problem that the video game that can be played cannot make the game progress while making the player feel moderate tension.
[0011]
The present invention has been made to solve such problems, and its purpose is to make the player feel a sense of urgency that an enemy character is attacked, which is not conventional in video games. Thus, a program including a radar screen display means in a video game capable of enhancing the effect of the video game is provided.
[0012]

Position information storage means for storing information, distance calculation means for calculating a distance between the player or player character and the enemy character from the position information of the player or player character and the position information of the enemy character, and the distance is within a predetermined range If it is determined whether or not it is within the predetermined range, it functions as a radar screen display means for drawing the annular area corresponding to the distance on a concentric radar screen composed of a plurality of annular areas. It is a program for.
[0013]
According to a second aspect, the present invention is a computer-readable recording medium on which the program is recorded.
[0014]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a game device for controlling a video game, and a position information storage means for storing position information of a player or player character and position information of an enemy character in a three-dimensional virtual space; Determining a distance calculation means for calculating a distance between the player or player character and the enemy character from the position information of the player or player character and the position information of the enemy character, and determining whether the distance is within a predetermined range; And a radar screen display means for drawing the annular area associated with the distance in a radar screen configured by a plurality of annular areas concentrically when determined to be within the predetermined range.
[0015]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image processing method for processing an image of a video game, the position information of a player or player character in a three-dimensional virtual space to be executed by a computer every predetermined time And a step for storing position information of the enemy character, a step of calculating a distance between the player or the player character and the enemy character from the position information of the player or the player character and the position information of the enemy character, and the distance Is determined to be within a predetermined range, and if it is determined to be within the predetermined range, a step of drawing the annular region associated with the distance on a concentric radar screen composed of a plurality of annular regions, and It is characterized by including.
[0016]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
According to the present invention, the position information of the player or the player character and the position information of the enemy character in the three-dimensional virtual space are stored by the computer, and the player or the player character and the enemy character are determined from the position information of the player or the player character and the position information of the enemy character. Calculate the distance to the character, determine whether the distance is within a predetermined range, and if it is determined that the distance is within the predetermined range, the ring corresponding to the distance on the radar screen that is concentric and configured with a plurality of circular regions The area is drawn, and the annular area is drawn in the radar screen based on the distance from the player or the enemy character existing around the player character. For example, the drawing is performed by changing the color scheme, thickness, transparency, etc. By doing so, it is possible to make the player sense the degree of danger.
[0017]
Here, it is not important that the direction to the enemy character is accurately known, but rather it is possible to make the player feel a sense of urgency that the enemy character will be attacked by not knowing it. . Note that the enemy characters here include those outside the player's field of view, that is, at positions not displayed on the game screen (for example, behind).
