Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency sharing antenna with a simple circuit configuration, which requires a small installation space and employs only one feeding point.
SOLUTION: Since a first antenna element 11 is inverted F-shaped and a second antenna element 12 is inverted L-shaped, the second antenna element 12 is arranged along an outer edge of the first antenna element 11 to approach each other. Thus, the installation space can be made small. Since the first and the second antenna elements 11 and 12 can be combined by suitably approaching the first and the second antenna elements 11 and 12, a resonant frequency of the first and the second antenna elements 11 and 12 can be utilized through one feeding point Vac. That is, a frequency sharing antenna 10 can be utilized in two radio frequency bands corresponding to the resonant frequency of the first and the second antenna elements 11 and 12.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

Description

【0001】
例えば、FDD(frequency division duplex)方式では、送信と受信別に、それぞれの無線周波数帯域を用いる。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a frequency sharing antenna capable of supporting a plurality of radio frequency bands.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As is well known, some wireless communication devices perform communication in a plurality of wireless frequency bands. For example, in the FDD (frequency division duplex) scheme, each radio frequency band is used for transmission and reception. Further, in the TDD (time division duplex) system, although the same radio frequency band is used for transmission and reception, communication of different standards (different radio frequency bands) is often performed selectively. Transmission and reception may occur at any of the other radio frequencies.
[0003]
On the other hand, in a small portable wireless communication device or the like, it is necessary to reduce the size of the antenna so as to be accommodated in the housing of the device, and an inverted-F type antenna is widely used for this size reduction. However, the radio frequency bandwidth of this inverted-F type antenna is as narrow as about several percent in a fractional band. In general, the smaller the antenna is, the narrower its radio frequency band is. Therefore, it has been difficult to perform communication in a plurality of radio frequency bands using a small inverted-F antenna.
[0004]
For this purpose, for example, as shown in FIG. 12, a plurality of inverted-F antennas 101 and 102 having mutually different radio frequency bands are provided on a ground plane 104, and each inverted-F antenna 101 and 102 is connected to an antenna switch 103. The connection is switched to the transmission / reception circuit and the baseband circuit 105 via the base station, and communication in each radio frequency band is selectively performed (see Patent Document 1).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional method shown in FIG. 12, since a plurality of inverted F-type antennas are provided apart from each other, a space for installing each of the antennas is required, and it is difficult to apply the antenna itself to a small communication device. In addition, it is necessary to provide each feeding point Vac for each inverted F-type antenna and to route each feeding line, which requires complicated work, and in this respect, it is difficult to apply to a small communication device. Costs have risen.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and has as its object to provide a frequency sharing antenna having a small installation space, requiring only one feeding point, and having a simple circuit configuration.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, a frequency sharing antenna according to the present invention includes an inverted-F first antenna element and an inverted-L second antenna element, and the first antenna element is an inverted antenna substantially parallel to a ground plane. A first conductor for F-type, a second conductor for reverse F-type connecting one end of the first conductor for reverse F-type to a feeding point, and a portion deviating from both ends of the first conductor for reverse F-type are connected to a ground plane. The second antenna element includes a third conductor for inverted F-type, and the first antenna for inverted L-type substantially parallel to the ground plane, and an inverted L for connecting one end of the first conductor for inverted L-type to the ground plane. And a second conductor for the mold.
[0009]
According to the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention having such a configuration, the first antenna element is an inverted F type, and the second antenna element is an inverted L type. By setting the shapes of these antenna elements, these antenna elements can be installed close to each other, and the installation space can be reduced. In addition, since the first and second antenna elements can be appropriately brought close to each other to couple these antenna elements, the resonance frequency of these antenna elements can be used through one feed point. Further, since the first antenna element is an inverted-F type, by adjusting the position of the third conductor for the inverted-F type, impedance matching of this frequency sharing antenna can be achieved.
[0010]
Further, in the present invention, the first conductor for inverted F type and the first conductor for inverted L type are substantially parallel.
[0011]
If the first conductor for inverted F-type and the first conductor for inverted L-type are made substantially parallel in this manner, the characteristics of the frequency sharing antenna can be set to be good and the size can be reduced. .
[0012]
Further, in the present invention, the height of the inverted F-type first conductor from the ground plane is different from the height of the inverted L-type first conductor. The inverted-L-type first conductor is disposed above the inverted-F-type first conductor.
[0013]
In this case, by appropriately setting the height of the first conductor for inverted F-type and the height of the first conductor for inverted L-type, the first and second antenna elements can be appropriately brought close to each other. Space can be reduced.
[0014]
In the present invention, the sum of the lengths of the inverted F-type first conductor and the inverted F-type second conductor is the sum of the lengths of the inverted L-type first conductor and the inverted L-type second conductor. Is different.
[0015]
As a result, the resonance frequencies of the first and second antenna elements can be appropriately shifted from each other, and communication in the respective radio frequency bands can be performed.
[0016]
Furthermore, in the present invention, at least one end of the first conductor for inverted F-type and the first conductor for inverted L-type is formed in a loop shape.
[0017]
By forming the tip of the first conductor for inverted F-type or the first conductor for inverted L-type in a loop as described above, the radio frequency band of the first antenna element and the second antenna element can be expanded. Particularly, when the coupling between the first and second antenna elements is insufficient and the radio frequency band of the second antenna element is narrowed, the second end of the inverted L-shaped first conductor is formed in a loop shape. The radio frequency band of the antenna element can be expanded.
[0018]
In the present invention, a patch is provided on at least one end of the first conductor for inverted F type and the first conductor for inverted L type.
[0019]
By providing a patch at the tip of the first conductor for inverted F-type or the first conductor for inverted L-type in this manner, the same operation and effect as forming the tip of these conductors in a loop can be achieved. Can be.
[0020]
Further, in the present invention, at least one of the conductors of the first antenna element and the second antenna element is plate-shaped.
[0021]
When the conductors of the first antenna element and the second antenna element are formed in a plate shape, the radio frequency band of the first antenna element and the second antenna element can be widened. In particular, when the coupling between the first and second antenna elements is insufficient and the radio frequency band of the second antenna element is narrowed, each conductor of the second antenna element is formed into a plate shape to thereby reduce the frequency of the second antenna element. The wireless frequency band can be expanded.
[0022]
Further, in the present invention, the width direction of each plate-shaped conductor extends along a plane substantially perpendicular to the ground plane.
[0023]
If the width direction of each plate-shaped conductor extends along a plane substantially perpendicular to the ground plane as described above, the installation space of the frequency sharing antenna on the ground plane can be reduced.
[0024]
Further, in the present invention, at least one end of the first conductor for inverted F-type and the first conductor for inverted L-type is bent.
[0025]
In this way, by bending the tip of the first conductor for inverted F-type or the first conductor for inverted L-type, the installation space can be reduced.
[0026]
In the present invention, a plurality of second antenna elements having substantially the same length are provided.
[0027]
By providing a plurality of second antenna elements having substantially the same length in this way, the radio frequency band of the second antenna element can be further expanded.
[0028]
Furthermore, the present invention further includes at least one inverted L-shaped third antenna element, wherein the third antenna element includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor substantially parallel to a ground plane and an inverted L-shaped first conductor. And a second conductor for inverted L-shape connecting one end of the first antenna to the ground plane, and the sum of the lengths of the first conductor for inverted L-shaped and the second conductor for inverted L-shaped of the third antenna element is equal to that of the first antenna. The sum of the lengths of the first inverted F-shaped conductor and the second inverted F-shaped conductor of the element, and the sum of the lengths of the inverted L-shaped first conductor and the inverted L-shaped second conductor of the second antenna element Different from any of them.
[0029]
By further providing such an inverted L-shaped third antenna element, three or more resonance frequencies can be used through one feeding point. That is, the available radio frequency band can be further increased.
[0030]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0031]
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a first embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. The frequency sharing antenna 10 of the present embodiment includes an inverted F-type first antenna element 11 and an inverted L-type second antenna element 12.
[0032]
The first antenna element 11 includes an inverted-F-type first conductor 13 parallel to the ground plane G, an inverted-F-type second conductor 14 connecting one end 13a of the inverted-F-type first conductor 13 to a feeding point Vac. And a third conductor 15 for an inverted F type that connects a portion 13b of the first conductor 13 for an inverted F type that is separated from both ends to the ground plane G.
[0033]
Note that the ground plane G extends in the xy directions, and the normal direction of the ground plane G is the z direction. In the xyz coordinate system, the inverse F-type first conductor 13 extends in the x direction, and the inverse F-type second conductor 14 and the inverse F-type third conductor 15 extend in the z direction.
[0034]
The second antenna element 12 includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor 16 that is substantially parallel to the ground plane G, and an inverted L-shaped second conductor 17 that connects one end 16a of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 16 to the ground plane G. And In the xyz coordinate system, the inverse L-shaped first conductor 16 extends in the x direction, and the inverse L-shaped second conductor 17 extends in the z direction. Therefore, the first conductor 16 for the inverted L type is parallel to the first conductor 13 for the inverted F type.
[0035]
In such a frequency sharing antenna 10, since the first antenna element 11 is an inverted-F type and the second antenna element 12 is an inverted-L type, the second antenna element 11 extends along the outer edge of the first antenna element 11. By arranging the first and second antenna elements 12, the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 can be made closer to each other, and the installation space can be reduced. Further, since the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 can be appropriately brought close to each other to couple the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12, the resonance frequency of the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 can be increased. Can be used through one feed point Vac. That is, the frequency sharing antenna 10 can be used in two radio frequency bands corresponding to the resonance frequencies of the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12. Further, since the first antenna element 11 is an inverted-F type, by adjusting the position at which the inverted-F-type third conductor 15 is connected to the inverted-F-type first conductor 13, the impedance of the frequency sharing antenna 10 is adjusted. Matching can be achieved.
[0036]
In addition, in the frequency sharing antenna 10, the sum of the lengths of the inverted-F-type first conductor 13 and the inverted-F-type second conductor 14 of the first antenna element 11 is set to the inverted-L-type first conductor of the second antenna element 12. The length is different from the sum of the lengths of the second conductor 16 and the inverted L-shaped second conductor 17. Here, each length is an important factor that determines the resonance frequency of the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12. Assuming that the required resonance frequencies are f1 and f2 and the respective resonance frequencies are f1 and f2 and the wavelengths are λ1 and λ2, respectively, the first conductor 13 for the inverted F type of the first antenna element 11 and the The sum of the lengths of the second conductors 14 is set to 10% to 40% of the wavelength λ1, and the length of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 16 and the inverted L-shaped second conductor 17 of the second antenna element 12 is determined. It is desirable to set the sum to 10% to 40% of the wavelength λ2. Thereby, good antenna characteristics having two valleys at the respective resonance frequencies f1 and f2 as shown in the graph of FIG. 2 can be obtained.
[0037]
Further, in the frequency sharing antenna 10, if the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 are too far or too close, the characteristics of the frequency sharing antenna 10 deteriorate. Therefore, as shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, the distance is adjusted by separating the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 not only in the y direction but also in the z direction and the x direction. That is, the first conductor 13 for inverted F type and the first conductor 16 for inverted L type are separated in the z direction in addition to the y direction, or the second conductor 14 for inverted F type and the second conductor 17 for inverted L type are separated. By separating the antenna elements in the x direction in addition to the y direction, the distance between the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 is adjusted. Alternatively, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 are not separated in the y direction, and the first conductor 13 for the inverted F type and the first conductor for the inverted L type are not separated. 16 is separated only in the z-direction, and the second conductor 14 for inverted F-type and the second conductor 17 for inverted L-type are separated only in the x-direction, so that the distance between the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 is reduced. It may be adjusted. In this case, since the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12 are on the same plane perpendicular to the ground plane G, the installation space of the frequency sharing antenna 10 on the ground plane G can be minimized. .
[0038]
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a second embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. Note that, in FIG. 5, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 of FIG.
[0039]
The frequency sharing antenna 20 of the present embodiment includes an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 21 instead of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12 of FIG. The inverted-L-shaped second antenna element 21 includes an inverted-L-shaped first conductor 22 extending in the x direction and an inverted-L-shaped second conductor 22 that connects one end 22a of the inverted-L-shaped first conductor 22 to the ground plane G. A conductor 24 is provided, and a loop 24 is formed and connected to the tip 22b of the first inverted L-shaped conductor 22.
[0040]
If the loop 24 is formed at the tip 22b of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 22, the radio frequency band of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 21 can be expanded. In particular, when the coupling between the first and second antenna elements 11 and 21 is insufficient and the radio frequency band of the second antenna element 21 becomes narrow, it is effective to provide the loop 24.
[0041]
Note that a loop may be connected to the tip of the first conductor 13 for the inverted F-type of the first antenna element 11 to widen the radio frequency band of the first antenna element 11.
[0042]
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a third embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. In FIG. 6, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 of FIG.
[0043]
The frequency sharing antenna 30 of the present embodiment includes an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 31 instead of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12 of FIG. The inverted L-shaped second antenna element 31 includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor 32 extending in the x direction and a second inverted L-shaped second conductor 32 that connects one end 32 a of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 32 to the ground plane G. A patch 34 is formed on the tip 32b of the inverted-L-shaped first conductor 32 and connected thereto.
[0044]
By forming the patch 34 on the tip 32b of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 32 in this manner, the same operation and effect as when the loop 24 of FIG. 5 is formed can be achieved. The radio frequency band of the second antenna element 31 can be expanded.
[0045]
In addition, a patch may be connected to the tip of the inverted F-type first conductor 13 of the first antenna element 11 to extend the radio frequency band of the first antenna element 11.
[0046]
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a fourth embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. In FIG. 7, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 of FIG.
[0047]
The frequency sharing antenna 40 of the present embodiment includes an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 41 instead of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12 of FIG. The inverted L-shaped second antenna element 41 includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor 42 extending in the x-direction and a second inverted L-shaped second conductor 42 that connects one end 42a of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 42 to the ground plane G. The first conductor 42 for the inverted L-type and the second conductor 43 for the inverted L-type are plate-shaped conductors that are wide in the y-direction.
[0048]
If the inverted-L-shaped first conductor 42 and the inverted-L-shaped second conductor 43 are formed of plate-shaped conductors as described above, the radio frequency band of the inverted-L-shaped second antenna element 41 can be expanded. In particular, when the coupling between the first and second antenna elements 11 and 41 is insufficient and the radio frequency band of the second antenna element 41 is narrowed, it is effective to use a plate-shaped conductor.
[0049]
In addition, the first antenna element 11 may be formed of a plate-shaped conductor, and the radio frequency band of the first antenna element 11 may be expanded.
[0050]
FIG. 8 is a diagram showing a fifth embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. Note that, in FIG. 8, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 in FIG.
[0051]
The frequency sharing antenna 50 of the present embodiment includes an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 51 instead of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12 of FIG. The inverted L-shaped second antenna element 51 includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor 52 extending in the x-direction and a second inverted L-shaped second conductor 52 connecting one end 52a of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 52 to the ground plane G. And a conductor 53 that is wider in the z direction as the first conductor 52 for the inverted L-type and the second conductor 53 for the inverted L-type.
[0052]
Also in this frequency sharing antenna 50, the same operation and effect as the frequency sharing antenna 40 of FIG. 7 can be achieved, and the radio frequency band of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 51 can be expanded. Also, since the width direction of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 52 and the inverted L-shaped second conductor 53 is the z direction, the ground is determined by the width of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 52 and the inverted L-shaped second conductor 53. The installation space on the surface G does not need to be widened.
[0053]
FIG. 9 is a diagram showing a sixth embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. Note that, in FIG. 9, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 of FIG.
[0054]
The frequency sharing antenna 60 of the present embodiment includes an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 61 instead of the inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12 of FIG. The inverted L-shaped second antenna element 61 includes an inverted L-shaped first conductor 62 and an inverted L-shaped second conductor 63 that connects one end 62a of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 62 to the ground plane G. Have. The inverted-L-shaped first conductor 62 extends in the x-direction, and has a portion 62b near the distal end thereof bent toward the ground plane G. As a result, the installation space for the frequency sharing antenna 60 shrinks in the x direction and decreases.
[0055]
Note that the tip of the inverted-F-type first conductor 13 of the first antenna element 11 may be bent.
[0056]
FIG. 10 is a diagram showing a seventh embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. Note that, in FIG. 10, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 of FIG.
[0057]
The frequency sharing antenna 70 of the present embodiment includes an inverted-F-type first antenna element 11 and two inverted-L-type second antenna elements 12.
[0058]
By providing the two second antenna elements 12 having substantially the same length, the radio frequency band of the second antenna element 12 can be further expanded. Further, if three or more second antenna elements 12 having substantially the same length are arranged in parallel, the radio frequency band can be further expanded.
[0059]
FIG. 11 is a diagram showing an eighth embodiment of the frequency sharing antenna of the present invention. Note that, in FIG. 11, the same reference numerals are given to portions that perform the same operation as the antenna 10 in FIG.
[0060]
The frequency sharing antenna 80 of the present embodiment includes an inverted F-type first antenna element 11, an inverted L-shaped second antenna element 12, and an inverted L-shaped third antenna element 81. The inverted-L-shaped third antenna element 81 includes an inverted-L-shaped first conductor 82 extending in the x direction, and an inverted-L-shaped second conductor that connects one end 82a of the inverted-L-shaped first conductor 82 to the ground plane G. 83.
[0061]
The inverted L-shaped third antenna element 81 is also appropriately brought close to the first antenna element 11 to couple the first and third antenna elements 11 and 81 to each other, and to increase the resonance frequency of the third antenna element 81 to the first and third antenna elements. It is used together with the resonance frequency of the two antenna elements 11 and 12 through one feed point Vac.
[0062]
The sum of the lengths of the inverted L-shaped first conductor 82 and the inverted L-shaped second conductor 83 of the inverted L-shaped third antenna element 81 is equal to that of the inverted F-shaped first conductor 13 of the first antenna element 11. It is different from both the sum of the lengths of the inverted F-type second conductors 14 and the sum of the lengths of the inverted L-shaped first conductors 16 and the inverted L-shaped second conductors 17 of the second antenna element 12. Therefore, the resonance frequency of the third antenna element 81 is different from any of the resonance frequencies of the first and second antenna elements 11 and 12. Therefore, the frequency sharing antenna 80 can be used in three radio frequency bands corresponding to the resonance frequencies of the first, second, and third antenna elements 11, 12, and 81.
[0063]
Further, if an antenna element having a sum of the lengths of the first and second conductors different from those of the other antenna elements is further added, the number of radio frequency bands that can be transmitted and received can be further increased.
[0064]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and can be variously modified. For example, the above embodiments may be appropriately combined.
[0065]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since the first antenna element is set to the inverted F type and the second antenna element is set to the inverted L type, these antenna elements are installed close to each other. And the installation space can be reduced. In addition, since the first and second antenna elements are appropriately brought close to each other to couple these antenna elements, the resonance frequency of these antenna elements can be used through one feed point. Further, since the first antenna element is of the inverted F type, the impedance matching of the frequency sharing antenna can be achieved by adjusting the position of the third conductor for the inverted F type.
[0066]
Further, since a loop or a patch is provided at at least one end of the first and second antenna elements, and each conductor of the first and second antenna elements is formed in a plate shape, a radio frequency band can be expanded. .
