Description

【0001】
この発明は、例えばPHS(Personal Handyphone System)や携帯電話システムをはじめ、TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access)方式のように、送受信を時間的に切り換えて無線通信を行う無線通信システムで用いられる無線装置に関する。
【0002】

[0002]
[Prior art]
As is well known, in the TDMA system, as shown in FIG. 17, an uplink frame is allocated to the uplink communication from the mobile station to the base station, and the downlink frame is allocated to the downlink communication from the base station to the mobile station. Frames are allocated, and each frame includes a plurality of time slots.
[0003]
Generally, a time slot of an up frame and a time slot of a down frame are associated with each other, and the base station and the mobile station transmit and receive through the associated time slots.
[0004]
2. Description of the Related Art Recently, in a mobile radio communication system employing a TDMA system such as a PHS or a mobile phone system, a communication speed is increased by a base station allocating a plurality of empty time slots to one mobile station and performing communication. I am trying to do it.
[0005]
As an example of allocating a plurality of empty time slots, by using a plurality of continuous time slots, a plurality of time slots can be treated as one time slot, so that control information for distinguishing each of the plurality of time slots can be used. Is unnecessary.
[0006]
By the way, recently, data communication has become more active, but there is a problem that high speed can be achieved only within the range of the number of uplink time slots or the number of downlink time slots.

A wireless communication system according to the present invention will be described. Here, a PHS will be described as an example.

[0020]
The mobile station PS1 wirelessly communicates with the base station CS and communicates with a communication partner P or the like via a public network, and includes a wireless unit 101 and a control unit 102 as main components.
[0021]
The radio unit 101 wirelessly communicates with the base station CS by a TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) method in accordance with a procedure based on the standard RCR STD-28 of the second generation cordless telephone system. It is controlled by 102.
[0022]
Then, radio section 101 outputs data received from base station CS by wireless communication to control section 202, and wirelessly transmits data input from control section 202 to base station CS.
[0023]
The control unit 102 controls and controls each unit of the mobile station PS1, detects a transmission / reception timing from a signal received by the wireless unit 101, and controls the wireless unit 101 based on the timing. It controls wireless communication with the base station CS by the TDMA method, and realizes voice communication and data communication with the communication partner P.
[0024]
In addition, the control unit 102, as a new control function, cooperates with the base station CS and transmits through a time slot used for downlink during normal communication. It has a control function of receiving through a time slot used as a.
[0025]
In addition, in addition to the function of detecting the amount of data transmitted from the base station CS from the information received by the radio unit 101, the control unit 102 monitors the reception state of the radio unit 101 and detects the occurrence of interference. And a function of measuring the amount of transmitted data communication and a function of measuring data communication time.
[0026]
The base station CS is connected to a public network through a wired line, and wirelessly communicates with a plurality of mobile stations PS1, PS2,..., And communicates these mobile stations PS1, PS2,. Connect.
[0027]
The base station CS includes a radio unit 201, a control unit 202, and a wired communication unit 203 as main components.
The radio unit 201 wirelessly communicates with a plurality of mobile stations PS1, PS2,... By the TDMA method according to a procedure based on the above-mentioned standard RCR STD-28, and its operation is controlled by the control unit 202.
[0028]
Then, under the control of the control unit 202, the wireless unit 201 wirelessly communicates with, for example, the mobile station PS1, and outputs data received from the mobile station PS1 to a wired communication unit 203 described later through the control unit 202, The control unit 202 wirelessly transmits data input from the wired communication unit 203 to the mobile station PS1.
[0029]
The control unit 202 controls and controls each unit of the base station CS. For example, the control unit 202 generates transmission / reception timing based on a reference signal supplied from a wired line, and controls the radio unit 201 based on the timing. In addition, it has a function of performing wireless communication control by the TDMA method and exchanging data between the wireless unit 201 and the wired communication unit 203.
[0030]
In addition, the control unit 202 cooperates with the mobile stations PS1 and PS2 as a new control function, and performs a control function of transmitting through a time slot used for uplink during normal communication, and conversely, during normal communication. It has a control function of receiving through time slots used for downlink.
[0031]
In addition, in addition to the function of detecting the amount of data transmitted from the mobile station PS1 from the information received by the radio unit 201, the control unit 202 monitors the reception state of the radio unit 201 to detect the occurrence of interference. And a function of measuring the amount of transmitted data communication and a function of measuring data communication time.
[0032]
The wired communication unit 203 communicates with a communication partner P connectable to the public network. Under the control of the control unit 202, the wired communication unit 203 transmits, for example, data received from the mobile station PS1 provided from the control unit 202 to the public. The data is transmitted to the communication partner P through a network, and data from the communication partner P input through a public network is output to the control unit 202.
[0033]
Next, communication control performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in the wireless communication system having the above configuration will be described. FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing the control, which is realized by the cooperative operation of the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 and the control unit 202 of the base station CS.
When a call request is issued from the mobile station PS1, or when an incoming call to the mobile station PS1 occurs, this processing is started.
[0034]
First, in step 2a, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and establish a link channel between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28. It establishes and moves to step 2b.
[0035]
In step 2b, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and establish a service channel between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28. Then, the process proceeds to Step 2c.
[0036]
In step 2c, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and perform a layer 3 activation process between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28. To start normal communication (symmetric communication) using time slots corresponding to each other in the upstream frame and the downstream frame, and then proceed to Step 2d.
[0037]
In step 2d, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 determine whether the symmetric communication started in step 2c is data communication or non-data communication other than data communication (for example, voice communication).
Here, as a result of this determination, in the case of data communication, the process proceeds to step 2e, whereas in the case of non-data communication, the process proceeds to step 2k.
[0038]
In step 2e, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 monitor the state of the data communication started in step 2c, and determine that the amount of communication per unit time in the uplink (PS1 → CS) and the downlink (CS → PS1) is It is determined whether or not a preset first threshold is exceeded, whether or not an interference avoidance requirement is satisfied, or whether or not a disconnection requirement is satisfied.
[0039]
Here, when the traffic per unit time in the down direction exceeds the first threshold value set in advance (br1), the process proceeds to step 2f in order to speed up the down direction, and If the traffic exceeds a first threshold value set in advance (br2), the process proceeds to step 2g to speed up the uplink direction, and if the interference avoidance requirement is satisfied (br3), the process proceeds to step 2j. When the disconnection requirement is satisfied (br4), the process proceeds to step 21. When none of the above conditions is satisfied (br0), the process returns to step 2e to repeat the same determination.
[0040]
In step 2f, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 change the time slot used for uplink in addition to the time slot used for symmetric communication started in step 2c in order to speed up the downlink direction. The communication control used as a time slot is started, thereby starting asymmetric communication in which the number of time slots used in the up direction and the down direction is different, and proceeds to step 2h.
[0041]
In step 2g, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 set the time slot used for downlink in addition to the time slot used for symmetric communication started in step 2c in order to speed up the uplink direction. The communication control used as a time slot is started, thereby starting asymmetric communication in which the number of time slots used in the up direction and the down direction is different, and proceeds to step 2h.
[0042]
In step 2h, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 enter a state of terminating the data communication because there is no data to be communicated, or the communication data of the direction in which the number of time slots is increased (speeded up) by asymmetric communication. Whether the amount exceeds a second threshold set in advance, the execution time of asymmetric communication exceeds a third threshold set in advance, an interference avoidance requirement is satisfied, a disconnection requirement is satisfied, or any of these. Determine if there is any.
[0043]
Here, when data communication is terminated due to no data to be communicated or data transfer is interrupted, when the amount of communication data exceeds a second threshold value set in advance, the execution time of asymmetric communication is If the predetermined threshold is exceeded, if the interference avoidance requirement is satisfied, or if the disconnection requirement is satisfied, the process proceeds to step 2i. If not, the process returns to step 2h. Do again.
[0044]
In step 2i, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 end the asymmetric communication started in step 2f or 2g, start symmetric communication instead, and shift to step 2e.
[0045]
In step 2j, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 perform an interference avoiding process according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and shift to step 2e.
[0046]
In step 2k, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 determine whether the non-data communication started in step 2c has ended.
Here, as a result of this determination, if the non-data communication is completed, the process proceeds to step 2l. If the non-data communication is not completed, the process proceeds to step 2k again to terminate the communication. To monitor.
[0047]
In step 21, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 disconnect the communication link established between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and terminate the process.
[0048]
Next, the sequence performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in steps 2a to 2c described above will be described in detail. FIG. 3 shows this sequence.
[0049]
Step 3a corresponds to step 2a. Control section 102 and control section 202 control radio section 101 and radio section 201, respectively, and base station CS and mobile station according to the procedure of RCR STD-28. A link channel is established with PS1. At this time, the TCH is activated, and the TCH is activated by ordinary symmetric communication.
[0050]
Step 3b corresponds to step 2b. The control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and follow the procedure of the RCR STD-28 for the base station CS and the mobile station. A service channel is established with PS1.
[0051]
Steps 3c to 3h correspond to step 2c, and activate the layer 3 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28.
First, in step 3c, the mobile station PS1 transmits a CC call setup message to the base station CS. The base station CS that has received the message stores the transmission capability set in the message in the control unit 202, and then sets the CC call as a response to the CC call setting (response received from the other party via the wired line). The setting reception is transmitted to the mobile station PS1.
[0052]
Then, in step 3d, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and execute the processing of the RT / MM function request sequence according to the procedure of the RCR STD-28.
[0053]
In this procedure, information as to whether the mobile station PS1 supports the asymmetric communication function is transmitted to the base station CS, and the base station CS stores the information in the control unit 202.
[0054]
After that, in step 3e, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the radio unit 101 and the radio unit 201, respectively, and perform the authentication process and the FACCH release sequence process according to the procedure of RCR STD-28.
[0055]
Then, in step 3f, the base station CS performs a CC paging and CC response procedure for the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28.
[0056]
Thereafter, the process proceeds to the communication phase. In step 3g, the base station CS determines the communication capability stored in step 3c and the capability of the mobile station PS1 stored in step 3d. Whether the mobile station PS1 supports asymmetric communication or not (data communication or not) is stored in the control unit 202.
[0057]
In step 3h, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 control the wireless unit 101 and the wireless unit 201, respectively, and start non-data communication such as data communication or voice communication by symmetric communication.
[0058]
Next, a description will be given of a sequence performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 when the requirement for performing asymmetric communication in step 2e is satisfied and the asymmetric communication is activated in step 2f or step 2g.
[0059]
FIG. 4 shows an example of a sequence for speeding up the downstream direction in step 2f. FIG. 5 shows an example of a sequence for speeding up the up direction in step 2g.
[0060]
First, a sequence for speeding up the downlink direction in step 2f will be described in detail with reference to FIG. This sequence is started when the control unit 202 of the base station CS detects in step 2e that the amount of communication per unit time in the downlink direction exceeds a first threshold value set in advance.
[0061]
First, in step 4a, the base station CS transmits an asymmetric communication activation request message to the mobile station PS1.
In step 4b, the mobile station PS1 that has received the asymmetric communication activation request message transmits an asymmetric communication activation response message to the base station CS as a response thereto.
[0062]
Then, in step 4c, the mobile station PS1 controls the radio section 101 by the control section 102, and performs reception in the corresponding uplink time slot in addition to the downlink time slot previously received. Start asymmetric reception control.
[0063]
On the other hand, when the base station CS receives the asymmetric communication activation response message transmitted from the mobile station PS1 in step 4d, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201 to add the time slot to the downlink time slot transmitted so far. Then, asymmetric transmission control for transmitting data by inserting data into the corresponding uplink time slot is started.
[0064]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 6, an asymmetric communication is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are asymmetric (step 4e). .
In the example of FIG. 6, the base station CS performs transmission through the time slot D1 in the downlink direction and the time slot U1 originally used in the uplink direction.
[0065]
Also, in step 4c, the control unit 102 starts measuring the amount of data received from the base station CS by asymmetric communication and measuring the time elapsed since the start of the asymmetric communication.
[0066]
Similarly, in step 4d, the control unit 202 starts measuring the amount of data transmitted to the mobile station PS1 by asymmetric communication and measuring the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication.
[0067]
Next, the sequence for speeding up the uplink in step 2g will be described in detail with reference to FIG. This sequence is started when the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 detects in step 2e that the traffic per unit time in the uplink exceeds a first threshold value set in advance.
[0068]
First, in step 5a, the mobile station PS1 transmits an asymmetric communication activation request message to the base station CS.
[0069]
In step 5b, the base station CS that has received the asymmetric communication activation request message transmits an asymmetric communication activation response message to the mobile station PS1 as a response thereto.
[0070]
In step 5c, when the mobile station PS1 receives the asymmetric communication activation response message transmitted from the base station CS, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101, and adds to the uplink time slot transmitted so far. , The asymmetric transmission control for transmitting data by inserting data into the corresponding time slot in the downlink direction is started.
[0071]
On the other hand, in step 5d, the base station CS controls the radio unit 201 by the control unit 202, and performs reception in the downlink time slot corresponding thereto in addition to the uplink time slot received so far. Start asymmetric reception control.
[0072]
As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, asymmetric communication is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1, in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are asymmetric (step 5e). .
In the example of FIG. 7, the mobile station PS1 performs transmission through the uplink time slot U1 and the time slot D1 originally used in the downlink direction.
[0073]
In step 5c, the control unit 102 starts measuring the amount of data transmitted to the base station CS by asymmetric communication and measuring the elapsed time after starting the asymmetric communication.
[0074]
Similarly, in step 5d, the control unit 202 starts measuring the amount of data received from the mobile station PS1 by asymmetric communication and measuring the elapsed time after starting the asymmetric communication.
[0075]
Next, a description will be given of a sequence performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 when the requirement for terminating asymmetric communication is satisfied in step 2h and the asymmetric communication is terminated in step 2i to perform symmetric communication. .
[0076]
First, with reference to FIG. 8, a detailed description will be given of a sequence for detecting that the base station CS satisfies the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication during the asymmetric communication, and transitioning from the asymmetric communication to the symmetric communication in response to the detection. I do.
[0077]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 8a), in step 8b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 202 of the base station CS satisfies the requirement for terminating asymmetric communication. Is detected.
[0078]
Here, the case where the above requirement is satisfied means that the data communication to the mobile station PS1 is lost or the data transfer is interrupted due to interruption of the data transfer, or the measurement is performed in the above-described steps 4e and 5e. When the amount of communication data with the mobile station PS1 exceeds the second threshold set in advance based on the measurement result of starting the above, when the execution time of the asymmetric communication exceeds the third threshold set in advance, and The case where the interference avoidance requirement is satisfied and the case where the disconnection requirement is satisfied are detected by the control unit 202.
[0079]
In this way, when the control unit 202 detects that the above requirement is satisfied, in step 8c, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the mobile station PS1.
[0080]
In step 8d, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 that has received the asymmetric communication stop request message controls the radio unit 101, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the base station CS in response.
[0081]
Then, in step 8e, in the mobile station PS1, the control unit 102 controls the wireless unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs the symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for downlink reception in step 4c described above is changed to the original uplink transmission, or the time slot changed for uplink transmission in step 5c is changed. Is changed for the original downlink reception.
[0082]
On the other hand, when the base station CS receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the mobile station PS1, in step 8f, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
[0083]
Specifically, the time slot changed for downlink transmission in step 4d described above is changed to the original uplink reception, or the time slot changed for uplink reception in step 5d described above is changed. Is changed for transmission in the original downlink direction.
[0084]
As a result, symmetric communication is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1, in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric as shown in FIG. 9 (step 8g). .
[0085]
In step 8e, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0086]
Similarly, in step 8f, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0087]
Next, with reference to FIG. 10, a description will be given of a sequence when the mobile station PS1 detects that the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication is satisfied during the asymmetric communication and the transition from the asymmetric communication to the symmetric communication is triggered. .
[0088]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 10a), in step 10b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 satisfies the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication. Is detected.
[0089]
Here, when the above requirements are satisfied, the data transmission to the base station CS is exhausted, the data transfer is interrupted due to interruption of data transfer, or the like, or the measurement is performed in the above-described step 4c or step 5c. In the case where the amount of communication data with the base station CS exceeds the second threshold set in advance or the execution time of asymmetric communication exceeds the third threshold set in advance based on the measurement result of starting These are detected by the control unit 102.
[0090]
In this way, when the control unit 102 detects that the above requirements are satisfied, in step 10c, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the base station CS.
[0091]
In the base station CS that has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, in step 10d, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the mobile station PS1 in response.
[0092]
Then, in step 10e, in the base station CS, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs the symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for downlink transmission in step 4d described above is changed to the original uplink reception, or the time slot changed for uplink reception in step 5d described above is changed. Is changed for transmission in the original downlink direction.
[0093]
On the other hand, when the mobile station PS1 receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the base station CS, in step 10f, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
[0094]
Specifically, the time slot changed for downlink reception in step 4c described above is changed to the original uplink transmission, or the time slot changed for uplink transmission in step 5c is changed. Is changed for the original downlink reception.
[0095]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized (step 10g). .
[0096]
In step 10e, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in step 4d and step 5d.
[0097]
Similarly, in Step 10f, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in Steps 4c and 5c.
[0098]
Next, referring to FIG. 11, the processing of step 2f detects that the control unit 202 of the base station CS satisfies the requirement for disconnecting the communication link during the asymmetric communication in which the speed of the downlink is increased. A sequence when the communication link is disconnected when triggered will be described in detail.
[0099]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 11a), in step 11b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 202 of the base station CS satisfies the requirement for disconnecting the communication link. Is detected.
[0100]
In this way, when the control unit 202 detects that the above requirements are satisfied, the control unit 202 first controls the wireless unit 201 in step 11c in order to execute the processing corresponding to step 2i (steps 11c to 11g). Control, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the mobile station PS1.
[0101]
In step 11d, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1, which has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, controls the radio unit 101, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the base station CS as a response.
[0102]
Then, in step 11e, in the mobile station PS1, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs the symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for reception in the down direction in step 4c described above is changed for transmission in the original up direction, and transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0103]
On the other hand, when the base station CS receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the mobile station PS1, in step 11f, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the down direction in step 4d described above is changed to the original reception in the up direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0104]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1, in which the number of time slots of the uplink frame and the number of time slots of the downlink frame are symmetrical (step). 11g).
[0105]
After that, since the base station CS has already recognized the necessity of the disconnection, in step 2e, the process proceeds to step 21 corresponding to step 11h, and the control unit 202 issues a disconnection request to the mobile station PS1, In response to this, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 disconnect the communication link established between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and terminate the process.
[0106]
In step 11e, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0107]
Similarly, in step 11f, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0108]
Next, referring to FIG. 12, the processing of step 2g detects that the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 satisfies the requirement for disconnecting the communication link during the asymmetric communication with the uplink speeded up. A sequence at the time of disconnecting the communication link will be described.
[0109]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 12a), in step 12b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 satisfies the requirement for disconnecting the communication link. Is detected.
[0110]
As described above, when the control unit 102 detects that the above requirement is satisfied, the control unit 102 first controls the wireless unit 101 in step 12c to execute processing (steps 12c to 12g) corresponding to step 2i. Control and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the base station CS.
[0111]
In the base station CS that has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, in step 12d, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the mobile station PS1 in response.
[0112]
Then, in step 12e, in the base station CS, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs the symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for the reception in the up direction in step 5d described above is changed to the original transmission in the down direction, and the transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0113]
On the other hand, when the mobile station PS1 receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the base station CS, in step 12f, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the upward direction in step 5c described above is changed to the original reception in the downlink direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0114]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized (step 12g). .
[0115]
After that, since the mobile station PS1 has already recognized the necessity of disconnection, the process proceeds to step 21 corresponding to step 12h in step 2e, and the control unit 102 issues a disconnection request to the base station CS, In response to this, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 disconnect the communication link established between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and terminate the process.
[0116]
In step 12e, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0117]
Similarly, in Step 12f, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in Steps 4c and 5c.
[0118]
Next, referring to FIG. 13, a sequence in a case where the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 detects that the requirement for disconnecting the communication link is satisfied during the asymmetric communication in which the speed of the downlink is increased by the process of step 2f. Will be described.
[0119]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 13a), in step 13b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 satisfies the requirement to disconnect the communication link. Is detected.
[0120]
However, since the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 cannot issue a disconnection request to the base station CS during asymmetric communication with a high-speed downlink, the control unit 102 does not immediately perform the processing corresponding to step 2i, and the base station CS Until there is a request to stop asymmetric communication, the execution of the above processing is suspended (step 13c), and the process stands by at step 2h.
[0121]
Then, it is assumed that the control unit 202 of the base station CS detects that the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication is satisfied in step 13d. When this requirement is satisfied, there is a high possibility that, for example, the execution time of the asymmetric communication exceeds a third threshold value set in advance.
[0122]
In this way, when the control unit 202 detects that the above requirement is satisfied, in step 13e, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the mobile station PS1.
[0123]
In step 13f, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1, which has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, controls the radio unit 101, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the base station CS as a response thereto.
[0124]
Then, in step 13g corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 controls the wireless unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs the symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for reception in the down direction in step 4c described above is changed for transmission in the original up direction, and transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0125]
On the other hand, when the base station CS receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the mobile station PS1, in step 13h corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication. .
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the down direction in step 4d described above is changed to the original reception in the up direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0126]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 13i). .
[0127]
After that, since the mobile station PS1 has already recognized the necessity of disconnection, the process proceeds to step 2l corresponding to step 13j in step 2e, and the control unit 102 issues a disconnection request to the base station CS, In response to this, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 disconnect the communication link established between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and terminate the process.
[0128]
In step 13g, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0129]
Similarly, in step 13h, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the time elapsed since the start of the asymmetric communication, started in step 4d or step 5d.
[0130]
Next, referring to FIG. 14, a sequence in the case where the control unit 202 of the base station CS detects that the requirement for disconnecting the communication link is satisfied during the asymmetric communication in which the speed of the uplink is increased by the processing of step 2g. Will be described.
[0131]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 14a), in step 14b corresponding to step 2h, the control unit 202 of the base station CS satisfies the requirement for disconnecting the communication link. Is detected.
[0132]
However, since the control unit 202 of the base station CS cannot issue a disconnection request to the mobile station PS1 during asymmetric communication with an increased uplink speed, the control unit 202 does not immediately perform the processing corresponding to step 2i, and immediately executes the processing corresponding to the mobile station PS1. Until there is an asymmetric communication stop request, the above process is suspended (step 14c), and the process stands by at step 2h.
[0133]
After that, it is assumed that the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 detects in step 14d that the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication is satisfied. When this requirement is satisfied, there is a high possibility that, for example, the execution time of the asymmetric communication exceeds a third threshold value set in advance.
[0134]
When the control unit 102 detects that the above requirements are satisfied in this way, in step 14e, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the base station CS.
[0135]
In step 14f, the control unit 202 of the base station CS that has received the asymmetric communication stop request message controls the radio unit 201, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the mobile station PS1 as a response.
[0136]
Then, in step 14g corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 202 of the base station CS controls the radio unit 201, terminates asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for the reception in the up direction in step 5d described above is changed to the original transmission in the down direction, and the transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0137]
On the other hand, when the mobile station PS1 receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the base station CS, in step 14h corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 102 controls the wireless unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication. .
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the upward direction in step 5c described above is changed to the original reception in the downlink direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0138]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized (step 14i). .
[0139]
Thereafter, since the base station CS has already recognized the necessity of the disconnection, in step 2e, the process proceeds to step 21 corresponding to step 14j, and the control unit 202 sends a disconnection request to the mobile station PS1, and At the beginning, the control unit 102 and the control unit 202 disconnect the communication link established between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 according to the procedure of RCR STD-28, and terminate the process.
[0140]
In step 14g, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0141]
Similarly, in step 14h, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0142]
Next, with reference to FIG. 15, a description will be given of a sequence in a case where the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 detects that the interference avoidance requirement has been satisfied during the asymmetric communication with the downlink speed increased by the process of step 2f. .
[0143]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 15a), it is detected in step 15b corresponding to step 2h that the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 satisfies the interference avoidance requirement. .
[0144]
However, since the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 cannot perform the interference avoidance processing request to the base station CS during the asymmetric communication in which the downlink speed is increased, the control unit 102 does not immediately perform the processing corresponding to step 2i, and The above processing is suspended (step 15c) until the request for stopping the asymmetric communication is issued from the station CS (step 15c), and the process waits in step 2h.
[0145]
Then, it is assumed that the control unit 202 of the base station CS detects that the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication is satisfied in step 15d. When this requirement is satisfied, there is a high possibility that, for example, the execution time of the asymmetric communication exceeds a third threshold value set in advance.
[0146]
In this way, when the control unit 202 detects that the above requirement is satisfied, in step 15e, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the mobile station PS1.
[0147]
In step 15f, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1, which has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, controls the radio unit 101, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the base station CS as a response thereto.
[0148]
Then, in step 15g corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 controls the radio unit 101, terminates asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for reception in the down direction in step 4c described above is changed for transmission in the original up direction, and transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0149]
On the other hand, when the base station CS receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the mobile station PS1, in step 15h corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication. .
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the down direction in step 4d described above is changed to the original reception in the up direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0150]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 15i). .
[0151]
Thereafter, since the mobile station PS1 has already recognized the necessity of the interference avoidance process, the process proceeds to step 2j corresponding to step 15j in step 2e, and the control unit 102 issues an interference avoidance process request to the base station CS. The control unit 102 and the control unit 202 perform the interference avoiding process according to the procedure of the RCR STD-28.
In step 15g, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0152]
Similarly, in step 15h, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0153]
Next, a sequence in the case where the control unit 202 of the base station CS detects that the interference avoidance requirement is satisfied during the asymmetric communication in which the speed of the uplink is increased by the process of step 2g will be described with reference to FIG. .
[0154]
In a situation where asymmetric communication is performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 (step 16a), in step 16b corresponding to step 2h, it is detected that the control unit 202 of the base station CS satisfies the interference avoidance requirement. .
[0155]
However, since the control unit 202 of the base station CS cannot perform the interference avoidance processing request to the mobile station PS1 during the asymmetric communication in which the uplink is speeded up, the control unit 202 does not immediately perform the processing corresponding to step 2i and moves. The above process is suspended (step 16c) until the station PS1 issues a request to stop asymmetric communication, and the process stands by at step 2h.
[0156]
After that, it is assumed that the control unit 102 of the mobile station PS1 detects in step 16d that the requirement for terminating the asymmetric communication is satisfied. When this requirement is satisfied, there is a high possibility that, for example, the execution time of the asymmetric communication exceeds a third threshold value set in advance.
[0157]
As described above, when the control unit 102 detects that the above requirement is satisfied, in step 16e, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101 and transmits an asymmetric communication stop request message to the base station CS.
[0158]
In the base station CS that has received the asymmetric communication stop request message, in step 16f, the control unit 202 controls the radio unit 201, and transmits an asymmetric communication stop response message to the mobile station PS1 in response to the control.
[0159]
Then, in step 16g corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 202 of the base station CS controls the radio unit 201, terminates asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication.
Specifically, the time slot changed for the reception in the up direction in step 5d described above is changed to the original transmission in the down direction, and the transmission through this time slot is restarted.
[0160]
On the other hand, when the mobile station PS1 receives the asymmetric communication stop response message from the base station CS, in step 16h corresponding to step 2i, the control unit 102 controls the radio unit 101, ends the asymmetric communication, and performs symmetric communication. .
Specifically, the time slot changed for transmission in the upward direction in step 5c described above is changed to the original reception in the downlink direction, and reception through this time slot is resumed.
[0161]
Thereby, as shown in FIG. 9, symmetric communication between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 in which the number of uplink time slots and the number of downlink time slots are symmetric is realized (step 16i). .
[0162]
After that, since the base station CS has already recognized the necessity of the interference avoiding process, in step 2e, the process proceeds to step 2j corresponding to step 16j, and the control unit 202 issues an interference avoiding process request to the mobile station PS1. The control unit 102 and the control unit 202 perform the interference avoiding process according to the procedure of RCR STD-28.
In step 16g, the control unit 202 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the mobile station PS1 and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4d and 5d.
[0163]
Similarly, in step 16h, the control unit 102 ends the measurement of the amount of data communicated with the base station CS and the measurement of the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, which are started in steps 4c and 5c.
[0164]
As described above, in the wireless communication system having the above configuration, when the mobile station PS1 performs the TDMA communication with the base station CS, during normal communication, the uplink frame and the downlink frame have the same number of times. Perform symmetric communication using slots.
[0165]
If necessary, the mobile station PS1 performs transmission at the timing of the downlink time slot in addition to the original uplink time slot, and the base station CS receives these transmitted multiple time slots. Such an asymmetric communication using different numbers of time slots in the uplink direction and the downlink direction is performed.
[0166]
In the wireless communication system having the above-described configuration, when the base station CS performs communication with the mobile station PS1 in the TDMA system, during normal communication, the base station CS uses the same number of time slots in the uplink and downlink. Perform communication.
[0167]
If necessary, the base station CS performs transmission at the timing of the upstream time slot in addition to the original downlink time slot, and the mobile station PS1 receives these transmitted time slots. Such an asymmetric communication using different numbers of time slots in the uplink direction and the downlink direction is performed.
[0168]
As described above, in the wireless communication system having the above-described configuration, the communication performed between the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 is performed not only by the transmitting-side wireless device but also by the time slot in the direction assigned to itself. The transmission is performed at the timing of the time slot in the direction to be used, and the receiving-side radio device receives a plurality of time slots accordingly.
[0169]
Therefore, according to the wireless communication system having the above-described configuration, symmetric communication and asymmetric communication are selectively performed, and when performing asymmetric communication, the wireless device on the transmission side performs transmission in uplink and downlink time slots. And the receiving-side radio device can perform reception in the uplink and downlink time slots, so that it exceeds the predetermined number of uplink time slots (uplink frames) or the number of downlink time slots (downlink frames), High-speed communication can be realized.
[0170]
Recently, a mobile radio terminal (mobile station PS1) used in a PHS or a mobile phone system has a function of connecting to the Internet through a mobile communication network with a base station CS, transmitting and receiving e-mail, browsing a homepage, and the like. Came to have.
[0171]
As is well known, in such a type of data communication, it is generally rare that two-way communication at the same speed is required. Therefore, asymmetric communication has higher line utilization efficiency than symmetric communication.
[0172]
In the wireless communication system having the above configuration, the communication amount per unit time of the uplink and the downlink is monitored, and the communication amount exceeds a first threshold value set in advance, so that the communication speed needs to be increased. In this case, the asymmetric communication is performed to increase the communication speed.
[0173]
The base station CS and the mobile station PS1 monitor the amount of data to be communicated, and after the communication speed is increased by the asymmetric communication, if there is no more data to communicate, the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 switch to symmetric communication. I'm trying to switch.
[0174]
Therefore, according to the wireless communication system having the above configuration, it is possible to perform flexible communication as needed between symmetric communication and asymmetric communication according to the amount of data to be communicated.
[0175]
Furthermore, the base station CS and the mobile station PS1 measure the amount of communication data in the direction in which the communication speed has been increased by the asymmetric communication, and when this data amount exceeds a second threshold value set in advance. Switches to symmetric communication.
[0176]
The base station CS and the mobile station PS1 measure the elapsed time from the start of the asymmetric communication, and switch to the symmetric communication when the elapsed time exceeds a third threshold value set in advance. ing.
[0177]
That is, even when the asymmetric communication is performed, if the amount of transmitted data exceeds the second threshold or the time of the asymmetric communication exceeds the third threshold, the communication is switched to the symmetric communication. I have.
[0178]
Therefore, according to the wireless communication system having the above configuration, the side performing data reception during asymmetric communication detects a state in which interference avoidance processing is to be performed, or detects a state in which disconnection is to be performed. Even in a situation in which this fact cannot be notified, the communication is switched to symmetric communication when a predetermined condition is satisfied, and accordingly, a request for interference avoidance processing or disconnection processing can be made to the communication partner.
[0179]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment.
For example, in the above embodiment, the side that performs high-speed transmission performs transmission using the reception time slot allocated to itself, as the time slot used for performing asymmetric communication. Conversely, the side that performs high-speed reception performs reception using the transmission time slot allocated to itself. As a result, high-speed communication was realized without squeezing other communication.
[0180]
Instead of this, for example, when communication is performed between the mobile station PS1 and the base station CS using a plurality of n time slots in both the uplink and downlink directions, symmetric communication is performed using all the time slots. You may do so.
That is, the side performing high-speed transmission transmits using n × 2 time slots, and the side performing high-speed reception does not perform transmission.
[0181]
According to this configuration, by performing the best-effort operation, the number of time slots used for asymmetric communication can be varied.
Alternatively, for example, when communication is performed between the mobile station PS1 and the base station CS using a plurality of n time slots in both the uplink direction and the downlink direction, of the n pieces, Symmetric communication is performed using one time slot in each direction, and asymmetric communication is performed using the remaining n-1 time slots.
[0182]
That is, the side performing high-speed transmission transmits using (n-1) × 2 + 1 time slots, and the side performing high-speed reception transmits using one time slot.
[0183]
According to this configuration, since at least one time slot is also allocated to the receiving side for transmission, even if the receiving side detects that asymmetric communication needs to be stopped, this fact is immediately transmitted to the transmitting side. Side can be notified, and the necessary processing can be quickly executed.
[0184]
Further, according to this configuration, by performing the best effort operation, the number of time slots used for asymmetric communication can be changed.
By performing the best effort operation, even when only one time slot can be used in the up direction and the down direction, asymmetric communication can be continued.
Furthermore, when performing asymmetric communication using a plurality of time slots, symmetric communication may be performed each time a predetermined requirement is satisfied.
[0185]
In the above-described embodiment, the TDMA system has been described using PHS as an example. However, the present invention is not limited to this. It is also possible to adopt a scheme using the same frequency (band) on the transmitting side and the receiving side.
In addition, it goes without saying that various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0186]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, on the transmitting side, transmission is performed not only at the timing for transmission, but also at the timing for reception. On the other hand, at the receiving side, not only the timing for reception but also the transmission timing is used. The reception is also performed at the timing of.
Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a wireless device capable of realizing high-speed communication beyond a predetermined timing range.
[0187]
Further, in the present invention, the transmitting side transmits at a timing at which the transmitting device should transmit and a timing at which the wireless device should transmit, and the receiving side determines the timing at which the transmitting device should receive and the timing at which the wireless device should receive. To receive.
[0188]
Therefore, according to the wireless device having the above-described configuration, transmission and reception can be performed at a plurality of timings without using the idle timing separately. And a wireless device capable of simultaneously performing high-speed communication by a plurality of wireless devices.
