この種の遊技機として、従来、遊技盤に、複数の図柄を表示する図柄表示装置と、遊技球の入賞を契機として図柄表示装置を始動させる第1種始動口と、遊技状態に応じて遊技球の大入賞口への入賞を許容又は規制する変動入賞装置とを備えた第1種パチンコ機が知られている。変動入賞装置は、大入賞口を開閉する扉部材を備え、図柄表示装置上に大当り図柄が確定表示されたときに、扉部材を開いて、遊技球の大入賞口への入賞を許容する。そして、大入賞口の内部には一般領域と特定領域とが設けられ、遊技球が特定領域を通過したことを条件に、扉部材が最高16ラウンドまで繰り返し開いて、遊技者に約2400個の賞球を付与するようになっている。

また、この種のパチンコ機では、図柄表示装置上で総ての図柄が確定する前段階に、一部の図柄を変動表示し、残りの図柄を仮停止表示するリーチ状態(リーチ演出態様とも呼ぶ)が演出される。このリーチ状態では、特定のキャラクタが登場したり、図柄が高速から低速に変動したりするなど、様々な演出が行われるが、通常、演出時間は約40秒から約1分間と比較的長く設定されている。このため、図柄表示装置がリーチ状態を演出している間に、上皿の発射球が残り僅かとなったり、無くなってしまったりすることがあり、こうした場合、リーチ演出後に大当り図柄が確定表示されても、開いた大入賞口に遊技球を入賞させることができず、遊技者はせっかく獲得した権利を失うという不利益を招く。

ところが、前者の変動入賞装置によると、回転体が扉部材と別の部材で、しかも扉部材から上方へ離れた位置に設けられているため、扉部材が大入賞口を開くタイミングと回転体が遊技球を落とすタイミングとを正確に一致させることが困難となり、遊技球を特定領域に正しく誘導できないことがあった。後者の変動入賞装置によると、大当り図柄の確定後に扉部材が開かない限り、遊技球を停留部に停留させることができないため、大当り図柄が確定表示される以前(図柄の変動表示中)に発射球が無くなってしまった場合に、遊技者は大当りの権利を行使できなくなるという不利益があった。また、何れの従来技術も、扉部材が板状又は箱状に形成されているので、閉じた状態は勿論のこと、開いた状態でも、大入賞口内部の様子を目で確認し難いという不具合があった。しかも、開閉式の扉部材は、閉じた状態で遊技球を素通りさせるため、アウト口に向かう遊技球の流下形態が単調になるきらいがあった。

まず、本発明の第1実施形態を図1〜図6に基づいて説明する。図1は第1種パチンコ機の遊技盤を示すもので、遊技盤1の略中央には、複数の図柄(例えば、「0」〜「9」の3つの数字)を液晶表示する図柄表示装置2が設置されている。図柄表示装置2の下側には、遊技球の入賞により図柄表示装置2を始動させる第1種始動口3が設けられている。第1種始動口3の下側には、遊技球を上から下へ通過させる左右方向に長いガイド部材4が設けられている。ガイド部材4の下側には、左右方向に長く開口する大入賞口5と、遊技状態に応じて遊技球の大入賞口5への入賞を許容又は規制する変動入賞装置6とが設けられている。
