2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, noise and vibration have become a social problem as pollution due to the development of transportation facilities and the approach to residential factories. Further, in many industrial fields such as manufacturing and transportation, improvement of the work environment of the workplace is required, and as a part of this, the level of noise and vibration tends to be more strictly regulated. Furthermore, as the standard of living has improved, the level of demand for consumers' electric and mechanical products is also increasing, and such products also tend to be required to be quiet during operation.

There are roughly two types of noise prevention methods that can meet such demands. One is a method of absorbing or reflecting the generated noise, and the other is a method of suppressing the vibration at the noise generation source to reduce the noise.
And, of these two types of methods, the latter is a more effective method because it directly reduces the generation of noise itself.

Conventionally, as one of the vibration damping materials that can be used in the latter noise prevention method, a composite vibration damping material having a multilayer structure in which an intermediate layer made of a viscoelastic resin composition is sandwiched between metal layers has been proposed. There is. Such a composite type damping material,
By absorbing the vibration energy of the member itself that generates noise,
It has the function of converting the vibration energy into heat energy by the shear deformation of the intermediate layer having viscoelasticity due to the bending vibration of the composite type vibration damping material, reducing the vibration velocity and the vibration amplitude, and reducing the acoustic radiation. .

Generally, the damping performance of such a composite damping material depends on the performance of the viscoelastic resin composition constituting the intermediate layer, and the damping performance of this viscoelastic resin composition is lost. It can be represented by a coefficient. Here, the loss coefficient is a coefficient indicating a scale by which vibration energy from the outside is converted into heat energy by internal friction, and is a quantity related to mechanical hysteresis loss due to vibration.

Further, when a viscoelastic resin composition is used as an intermediate layer of such a composite type vibration damping material, the vibration damping performance of this resin composition shows a peak characteristic of the vibration damping performance in the glass transition region, It is known that the use near the peak characteristic temperature is the most effective from the viewpoint of damping effect. In other words, conversely, it is most effective from the viewpoint of the vibration damping effect to use the resin composition having the peak characteristic temperature in the vicinity of the operating temperature range of the composite type vibration damping material. Here, the glass transition region refers to a temperature region in which the resin composition exhibits a liquid crystal state and exceeds the glass transition temperature.

The viscoelastic resin composition of low) generally has a small cohesive force at room temperature,
There is a problem that the adhesive strength to substrates such as metal is low. Therefore, there is a problem that the composite vibration damping material using such a viscoelastic resin composition cannot withstand molding processing such as pressing and bending, and has no heat resistance that can withstand heat treatment such as baking coating after processing. there were.

Therefore, conventionally, there has been a strong demand for a resin or a resin composition that exhibits excellent vibration damping performance and adhesive strength in a wide temperature range including room temperature and is also excellent in heat resistance. In fact, many research and development efforts have been made in various fields to meet such demands. For example, a cross-linking agent for the purpose of maintaining high vibration damping performance and adhesive strength in a wide temperature range including normal temperature. Are being studied, viscoelastic resin compositions composed of a mixture of a plurality of viscoelastic resins, and methods of laminating a plurality of viscoelastic resin compositions into a composite.

However, even when such a viscoelastic resin composition is used, a decrease in vibration damping performance is avoided as the amount of the low glass transition temperature segment is increased in order to adjust the glass transition temperature to around room temperature. In addition, there is a problem that the heat resistance decreases as the amount of the low glass transition temperature segment increases.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above problems, the inventors of the present invention reacted with a resin having a low glass transition temperature, which exhibits high vibration damping performance in a wide temperature range including normal temperature. Incorporating the resulting curing agent gave the idea that excellent adhesion strength and heat resistance should be imparted to the resin having a low glass transition temperature, and earnestly studied the combination of such resin and curing agent. . Then, at the end of the study, by blending a specific curing agent in a polyester resin having specific properties, it is possible to impart excellent adhesive strength and heat resistance to a resin having a low glass transition temperature, including normal temperature. It was found that a viscoelastic resin composition that exhibits high vibration damping performance and excellent adhesive strength over a wide temperature range and that also has excellent heat resistance can be obtained.

In the present specification, the viscoelastic resin composition means a resin composition which exhibits elasticity at the same time as viscosity. In general, a liquid exhibits viscosity but does not exhibit elasticity with respect to shear deformation, and a solid exhibits elasticity but does not exhibit viscosity. However, when a composition containing a resin is subjected to a shear deformation, a phenomenon often occurs in which elastic deformation and viscous flow appear as a result of a relaxation phenomenon, and such a resin composition is referred to as a viscoelastic resin composition. I call it.

Here, the loss coefficient is a numerical value that serves as an index of the amount of energy that the material undergoing elastic deformation dissipates as heat, and is one of the important material characteristics. Generally, a material with a large loss factor converts vibrational energy into heat, so
The feature is that the generated sound is small. And since a material having viscoelasticity generally has a large loss coefficient, it has the effect of reducing unnecessary vibration and greatly reducing the amplitude.
It is used in various fields as a member of damping material.

Further, it is generally known that the loss coefficient of the viscoelastic resin composition itself exhibits a maximum value in the vicinity of the glass transition temperature of the viscoelastic resin composition. Therefore, the use of the viscoelastic resin composition in the temperature region near the temperature at which the loss coefficient shows the maximum value is most effective in terms of the vibration damping effect. In other words, conversely, using the viscoelastic resin composition having the maximum loss coefficient in the vicinity of the operating temperature range of the vibration damping material is most effective in terms of the vibration damping effect.

When the content of the polycarbonate polyol bond unit is less than 5 mol%, the glass transition temperature of the copolyester resin does not sufficiently decrease depending on the kind of the polycarboxylic acid bond unit, and the viscoelastic resin composition is obtained. There is a problem that it becomes difficult to achieve both vibration damping performance and adhesive strength at room temperature, and heat resistance is not improved. Further, among these polyols,
It is preferable to use a polyol having 5 or more carbon atoms in the main chain, and particularly preferable to use a polyol having a side chain having 5 or more carbon atoms in the main chain. Specific examples include 1,5-pentanediol, 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol, 1,6-hexanediol, and reduced products of dimer acid. When a polyol having a main chain carbon number of less than 5 is used, a copolymerized polyester resin having a molecular weight necessary for realizing the properties of the viscoelastic resin composition of the present invention is obtained by decomposition of the copolymerized polyester resin during polymerization. This is because it may not be possible.

When the weight average molecular weight is less than 5,000, both the vibration damping performance and the adhesive strength of the viscoelastic resin composition are deteriorated. Further, in terms of the vibration damping performance and the adhesive strength of the viscoelastic resin composition, the higher the weight average molecular weight is, the more preferable, and it is preferable that the weight average molecular weight is determined to be the most practical value. However, if the weight average molecular weight exceeds 50,000, the workability in the production process of the viscoelastic resin composition tends to decrease, which is not preferable.
