2. Description of the Related Art A controller for automatically controlling a production management system for chemicals, chemicals, steel, etc., and a facility system for water and sewage is equipped with a control sequence logic which operates at a fixed cycle. Most of this control sequence logic is described in a language called a ladder sequence program. The ladder sequence was developed for relay control circuits, but is now widely used for describing sequence control by computers.

On the other hand, the controller in the above system is usually constructed by being connected to a plurality of control devices via a control network such as a device net. Then, this controller receives input data from, for example, an infrared sensor, a contact switch, or a flowmeter via a network, and the installed sequence program operates by referring to the input data, and thus the system Calculate the output data for. Then, the controller sends this output data as control data to a motor contactor or relay, which is a control device, via the network.

In the above-mentioned system, in at least one independent network in the system, with respect to the control data related to the connected control device, all the input data are once collected in the controller and processed by the sequence program installed in the controller. All output data is also sent from the controller.

In such a system, if the controller fails, the entire system stops. On the other hand, conventionally, in order to prevent the system from being stopped, configuring the controller with a dual system has been applied in various forms in both dual and duplex. However, in general, this dual system has a disadvantage that both the initial cost and the running cost are higher than those of the single system, or it may not be applicable depending on the system.

Therefore, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the control sequence logic is not centrally mounted and processed in the controller but is distributed and mounted in a plurality of control devices capable of mutually parallel processing. Distributed control systems that operate are already known. An example of such a distributed control system is proposed by Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-259589. In this example of the related art, a plurality of control controllers connected to the network are automatically detected, and the execution share of the control sequence logic is determined so that the processing loads become even with respect to them. Then, each control controller executes the logic based on this sharing.

However, the above-mentioned conventional techniques still have the following problems.
That is, as described above, it is assumed that a plurality of logics that can be processed in parallel with each other are assumed as the control logics to be shared among the executions of the control sequence logics. In that case, the problem that the control sequence logic shared by the controller cannot be processed still cannot be solved.

Generally, in a steel system, a physical distribution system, or the like, the objects to be handled (pig iron in the steel system, home delivery to each door in the physical distribution system) that moves sequentially on rollers or conveyors are controlled objects. Since all the rollers and conveyors are under the control of the controller, it is often acceptable from the standpoint of fail-safe that the entire system is stopped when some of the controllers fail, which is rather desirable.

On the other hand, however, in a sewage drainage system, for example, especially when a heavy rainfall occurs, sewage flows in regardless of the state of the controller, so system stop must be absolutely avoided, and
Even if the controller fails, the drain valve must be able to operate autonomously. Moreover, the above-mentioned conventional technique is premised on the existence of a plurality of control controllers, and may not be applicable to a system in which the equipment construction cost must be kept low.

Next, the above operation will be described by a ladder sequence as shown in the attached FIG. In this figure, the three-digit number added to the contact and output on the ladder sequence corresponds to each control device in the system, and the correspondence is as shown in the table on the right side of the figure.
It should be noted that these numbers may be assigned by the user who is the operator of the control system when creating programming with the programming device 101, or these devices are programmed with abbreviated names, and this is completed. After that, the programming device 101 may automatically generate the number according to the contents of the above table. Note that the latter method is used in the example described here.

After that, when the programming device 101 receives from the above-mentioned sequence division command input by the user, the ladder sequence shown in FIG. 4 is surrounded by each circuit, that is, surrounded by a broken line in FIG. 5 attached. Divide as shown, and assign a unique number to each. This unique number is referred to as "block ID". Here, "1 circuit" is a unit of a circuit that can be independently divided when a line (bus bar) vertically drawn on the left side of the ladder sequence diagram is cut.

Next, the operation of each control device will be described. First, when the programming device 101 receives a process start command from a user, it sends a frame format whose content is shown in FIG. 9 to the transmission path 103. Destination part 201c of this frame format
The broadcast address is stored in, so that all control devices 102 connected to the transmission path 103 receive this frame format. In addition, the control instruction unit 202c stores an "operation start instruction", which allows each control device 102 to operate.
Will then start operation based on the distributed sequence blocks. In this case, since there is no significant data in the data part, the data part 203c is in the "(no data)" state as shown in the figure. In the example of the present embodiment, the programming device 101, that is, the programming device 10 is used.
Although the start of the process is instructed by sending the frame format of FIG. 9 from 1 above, other methods and means are also possible, for example, it may be instructed by a dedicated device for instructing the process start.

As described above, in the distributed control system of the present invention, the control device 102 constituting the system is used.
In the event of a partial failure of the other, the other remaining control devices 102 will still be able to operate autonomously without shutting down the entire system. For example, as described above, especially when heavy rainfall occurs, sewage flows in regardless of the state of the controller. However, when the distributed control system according to the present invention is applied to a sewage drainage system, even if a part of a plurality of control controllers fails, the stop of the entire system can be avoided and the control controllers can operate. The drain valve can operate autonomously. That is, it is possible to avoid the stoppage of the entire system due to a failure of some of the plurality of controllers, and therefore it is particularly preferable to apply the present invention to the above-mentioned sewage drainage system. In order to more reliably protect the controller of the drain valve from failure, it is possible to configure only the controller of the drain valve to have a double system configuration, for example. Therefore, it can be applied to a system that requires a low equipment construction cost.

In the above distributed control system of the present invention, for example, when the contact data is not transmitted due to a device failure or the like, the operation of the control device 102 which requires the contact data as control data is as follows.
As the control data, a "default value" may be prepared in advance (for example, stored in a storage device constituting each control device) and used. Alternatively, instead of this, the “previous value” may be used in the processing flow of FIG. Furthermore, the operation of the control device 102 at this time is set in advance in the programming device 101 as an exceptional processing sequence,
You may make it operate | move according to this. In this case, at the time of sequence division by the programming device 101, in addition to the sequence block at the normal time, an exceptional time processing sequence for executing the process at the exceptional time is added to each control device 102, It will be distributed to the control devices 102. That is, also by this, it becomes possible to avoid from stopping the entire system.

Further, the input device may have a so-called dual system structure, for example, by the method described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-322097. According to this method, even if a certain input device fails, the standby system input device starts operating without the other control device being aware of it, and the system as a whole operates without being affected by the failure. I can continue. That is, according to the combination of the above dual system configuration and the control system of the present invention,
A highly reliable and excellent distributed control system can be constructed.

As is apparent from the above detailed description, according to the present invention, the control sequence logic described in the ladder sequence language is divided, and the control sequence logic is distributed to each control device to operate. It is not always necessary to have a controller that centralizes the control, so that the cost of the system can be kept low, and each control device can operate autonomously even if one of them fails. This makes it possible to avoid the worst case that the system is completely stopped even when a device fails, and it is possible to construct a more reliable system.
