However, in the conventional surface emitting device 21, since the space (air layer) 29 exists between the light source such as the surface mount LED 22 and the light guide plate 26, the light source emits light. The amount of light is attenuated until the light enters the light guide plate 26, and the brightness of the light emitting surface of the light guide plate 26 is reduced. Further, since the emission angle of the light emitted from the surface mount LED 22 is narrow, there is a problem that the light emitted from the light emitting portion 28 has uneven brightness. An object of the present invention is to increase the brightness of the light emitting surface and reduce the brightness unevenness of the light emitting portion by effectively utilizing the light emitted from the side surface of the light emitting element in such a surface emitting device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The invention according to claim 1 is a light guide plate having a light guide portion for introducing light emitted from a light emitting element and a light emitting portion for emitting light incident from the light guide portion; In a surface emitting device including a light emitting element arranged in proximity to a light guide portion of a light guide plate, a light guide transparent resin is interposed between the light guide portion and the light emitting element. The transparent resin for light guide has an effect that the light emitted from the element is efficiently propagated to the light guide portion of the light guide plate. In the invention according to claim 2, as the light guide portion, a concave light guide portion capable of accommodating the light emitting element is formed in a part of a peripheral edge of the light guide plate, and the light emitting element is arranged in the recess. A transparent resin for light guiding is filled between the recess and the light emitting element, and in addition to having the function of allowing the transparent resin for light guiding to efficiently propagate into the light guide plate, the light emitting element The light emitted from the side surface of the light guide plate is radially propagated to reduce the uneven brightness of the light emitting portion of the light guide plate. Claim 3
The invention described in (1) uses a silicone-based thermosetting resin having a high transmittance as the transparent resin for light guide, and efficiently propagates the light emitted from the light emitting element to the light guide plate. At the same time, it has an effect of increasing the radiation efficiency of heat generated from the light emitting element. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. FIG. 1 is a plan view showing the surface emitting device according to the embodiment in an assembled and completed state,
2 is a plan view showing the surface emitting device of FIG. 1 with a diffusion sheet, a lens film and a protective sheet removed.
2 is an enlarged view of part B in FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 is AA in FIG.
FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of part C in FIG. Figure 1
1 to 5, 1 is a surface emitting device, 2 is a holder, 3 is a protective sheet, 4 is a light emitting area, 5 is an FPC substrate, 6 is a transparent resin for light guiding, 7 is a light emitting element, 8 is a conductive paste, and 9 is Au
Wires, 10 are light guide plates, 11 is a reflection sheet, 12 is a diffusion sheet, and 13 is a lens film. In the surface light emitting device 1, a plurality of concave light guide portions 14 are formed at the edges of the light guide plate 10 as light guide portions for introducing the light emitted from the light emitting elements 7 into the light guide plate 10, and the respective concave light guide portions are formed. In the portion 14, the FPC board 5 is die-bonded with the conductive paste 8 and the Au wire 9 is bonded to the light-emitting element 7.
And the transparent resin 6 for light guiding is filled between the concave light guiding portion 14 and the light emitting element 7. In addition, the diffusion sheet 12
Diffuses the light emitted from the light emitting portion 15 of the light guide plate 10 and reduces the uneven brightness of the entire light emitting region. The lens film 13 collects the light in the light emitting area 4 diffused by the diffusion sheet 12 and enhances the front luminance of the light emitting area 4. The protective sheet 3 allows the light from the side surface of the light emitting element, particularly the light emitted in the same direction as the light emitting portion 15, to be concave.
It is intended to fix the diffusion sheet 12 and the lens film 13 to the holder 2 while reflecting the light to improve the light guiding efficiency. With such a configuration, the light emitted from the light emitting element 7 propagates in the transparent resin 6 for light guide, enters the light guide plate 10 from the concave light guide portion 14, and moves in the surface direction in the light guide plate 10. Since the light is emitted from the light emitting portion 15 on the surface while propagating, the light emitting region 4 is illuminated brightly. In this way, the light emitted from the light emitting element 7 is efficiently propagated to the concave light guiding portion 14 of the light guide plate 10 by the light guiding transparent resin 6, so that an air layer is formed between the light emitting element 7 and the light guide plate 10. Compared with the case of interposing, the attenuation is extremely small, and high brightness can be obtained. Further, by arranging the light emitting element 7 in the concave light guiding portion 14 and filling the transparent resin 6 for light guiding, the light emitted from the side surface of the light emitting element 7 is also efficiently propagated, It is possible to reduce the brightness unevenness of the emitting portion 15. Further, in the present embodiment, since a silicone-based thermosetting resin having a high transmittance is used as the transparent resin 6 for light guide, heat generated when the light emitting element 7 emits light is radiated, and thermal stress is generated. The excellent effect of improving reliability is obtained. The transparent resin for light guide 6
Other than this, an epoxy resin or the like can be adopted, and similar functions and effects can be obtained.

According to the invention described in claim 1, the advantageous effect that the brightness of the light emitting surface can be increased can be obtained. According to the second aspect of the invention, since the light from the side surface of the light emitting element can be effectively used, the advantageous effect of reducing the uneven brightness from the light emitting surface can be obtained. According to the third aspect of the present invention, the light emitting element emits heat when it emits light, so that an advantageous effect of improving reliability can be obtained.
