Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. チューブ状血管カテーテルにおける可撓性遠位作動カテーテル領域を含む 遠位カテーテルセクションの形状を正確に制御する撓み装置において、 (a)外壁部と遠位端部と近位端部とを有すると共に、形状を制御しようとする 遠位作動先端領域を含む遠位カテーテルセクションと、 (b)遠位セクションの遠位端部から近位方向に離間した遠位カテーテルセクシ ョンの外壁部において好適な方向に一層高い可撓性を発生する1個もしくはそれ 以上の連続的に離間した比較的弱いもしくはより可撓性の壁部領域(それぞれ弱 い壁部領域は弱い壁部セグメントの方向およびその近傍にて優先的にカテーテル を屈曲させる傾向を有する)と、 (c)調整可能な張力もしくは引張力を弱い壁部領域の遠位から遠位カテーテル セクションに加えてカテーテルを弱い壁部領域の所望方向およびその近傍におい て1個もしくはそれ以上の弱い壁部領域で湾曲させるための往復操作しうる手段 を含む屈曲コントロール手段と、 からなることを特徴とする撓み装置。 2. 複数の弱い壁部領域をさらに備え、前記屈曲コントロール手段が複数の往 復操作しうる手段を備え、前記各往復操作しうる手段が前記弱い壁部領域の異な る遠位位置にてカテーテル壁部に取付けられる請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 3. 半径方向に種々異なる方向で整列した複数の比較的弱い連続した壁部領域 をさらに備える請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 4. 半径方向に種々異なる方向で整列した複数の連続した弱い壁部領域をさら に備える請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置。 5. 弱い壁部領域が切込部を備える請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 6. 弱い壁部領域が切込部を備える請求の範囲第3項に記載の装置。 7. 1個もしくはそれ以上の比較的弱い壁部領域が、半径方向に配向した減少 した厚さの壁部で特徴づけられている請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 8. 1個もしくはそれ以上の比較的弱い壁部領域が、半径方向に配向した減少 した厚さの壁部で特徴づけられている請求の範囲第3項に記載の装置。 9. カテーテルの遠位セクションの液密一体性を保持すべく、切込部に対し可 撓性の外側覆い鞘手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第5項に記載の装置。 10. 屈曲コントロール手段が1本もしくはそれ以上のテンション引張ワイヤ を備える請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 11. チューブ状血管カテーテルにおける遠位作動カテーテル領域を含む遠位 カテーテルセクションの形状を正確に制御する制御撓み装置において、 (a)外壁部と遠位端部と近位端部とを有すると共に、形状を制御しようとする 遠位作動先端領域を含む遠位カテーテルセクションと、 (b)遠位端部から近位方向に離間した遠位カテーテルセクションの外壁部にお いて好適な方向に一層高い可撓性を発生する1個もしくはそれ以上の連続して離 間した比較的弱いもしくはより可撓性の壁部領域(それぞれ弱い壁部領域は弱い 壁部領域の方向および位置において好ましくカテーテルを屈曲させる傾向を有す る)と、 (c)調整可能な長手方向の力を弱い壁部領域の遠位から遠位カテーテルセクシ ョンに加えてカテーテルを1個もしくはそれ以上の弱い領域の位置において所望 の方向に湾曲させるための往復操作しうる手段を含む屈曲コントロール手段と、 (d)前記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置されると共に往復摺動自在であり、 前記1個もしくはそれ以上の弱い壁部領域および前記屈曲コントロール手段と共 働して遠位カテーテルセクションにより示される形状を調整する調整可能な撓み 形状コントロール手段と、 からなることを特徴とする制御撓み装置。 12. 複数の弱い壁部領域をさらに備え、前記屈曲コントロール手段が複数の 往復操作しうる手段を備え、前記各往復操作しうる手段が前記弱い壁部領域の異 なる遠位位置においてカテーテル壁部に取付けられる請求の範囲第11項に記載 の装置。 13. 半径方向に種々異なる方向で整列した複数の比較的弱い連続した壁部領 域をさらに備える請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 14. 半径方向に種々異なる方向で整列した複数の連続した弱い壁部領域をさ らに備える請求の範囲第12項に記載の装置。 15. 比較的弱い壁部領域が切込部を備える請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置 。 16. 比較的弱い壁部領域が切込部を備える請求の範囲第4項に記載の装置。 17. 1個もしくはそれ以上の比較的弱い壁部領域が、半径方向に配向した減 少した厚さの壁部によって特徴づけられている請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置 。 18. 1個もしくはそれ以上の比較的弱い壁部領域が、半径方向に配向した減 少した厚さの壁部によって特徴づけられている請求の範囲第13項に記載の装置 。 19. カテーテルの遠位セクションの液密一体性を保持すべく、切込部に対し 可撓性の保護用外側覆い鞘手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第15項に記載の装置 。 20. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が長形の可撓性固形部材からなる 請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 21. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、減少した剛性の1個もしくは それ以上の離間セグメントを有する長形の可撓性固形部材からなる請求の範囲第 11項に記載の装置。 22. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が減少した直径の1個もしくはそ れ以上のセグメントを有するワイヤもしくはロッドである請求の範囲第21項に 記載の装置。 23. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が可撓性で長形の中空部材からな る請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 24. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、より高い可撓性の1個もしく はそれ以上の離間領域を有する長形の中空部材からなる請求の範囲第11項に記 載の装置。 25. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が中空チューブ状部材からなり、 その側壁部から除去されて方向的に好ましい高い可撓性のセグメントを形成する 部分を備える請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 26. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、長形の中空部材と組合せて操 作される長形の固形部材からなる請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 27. 1個もしくはそれ以上の記録/剥離電極手段を前記作動カテーテル領域 にさらに備える請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置。 28. 1個もしくはそれ以上の記録/剥離電極手段を前記作動カテーテル領域 にさらに備える請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 29. チューブ状カテーテルにおける作動遠位カテーテル領域を含む遠位カテ ーテルセクションの形状を制御する撓み装置において、 (a)外壁部と遠位端部と近位端部とを有すると共に、形状を制御しようとする 作動遠位領域を含む所望の可撓性を備えたカテーテルセクションと、 (b)調整可能な張力もしくは引張力を外壁セグメントにおける1つもしくはそ れ以上の取付位置で遠位カテーテルセクションに加えて、力の方向に対応する取 付位置の近位における遠位カテーテルセクションを湾曲させる往復操作しうる手 段を含む屈曲コントロール手段と、 (c)前記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置されると共に往復摺動自在であり、 遠位カテーテルセクションおよび前記屈曲コントロール手段と共働して遠位カテ ーテルセクションが示す形状を調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段と、 からなることを特徴とする撓み装置。 30. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、高い可撓性の1個もしくはそ れ以上の離間セグメントを有する長形の可撓性固形部材からなる請求の範囲第2 9項に記載の装置。 31. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、一定の可撓性を有する長形の 可撓性固形部材からなる請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置。 32. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、減少した直径の1個もしくは それ以上のセグメントを有するワイヤもしくはロッドである請求の範囲第29項 に記載の装置。 33. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が可撓性の長形な中空部材からな る請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置。 34. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、高い可撓性の1個もしくはそ れ以上の離間領域を有する長形の中空部材からなる請求の範囲第29項に記載の 装置。 35. より高い可撓性の領域が方向的に配向される請求の範囲第32項に記載 の装置。 36. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が中空チューブ状部材からなり、 その側壁部から除去する部分を備えて方向的に好ましい高い可撓性の前記セグメ ントを形成する請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置。 37. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、長形の中空部材の手段と組合 せて操作される長形の固形部材の手段からなる請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置 。 38. 前記作動カテーテル領域に1個もしくはそれ以上の記録/剥離電極手段 をさらに備える請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置。 39. 屈曲コントロール手段が少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能 なノブ手段を有するハンドル手段をさらに備えて、前記ノブ手段は各往復操作し うる手段を移動させるべく連結されることによりカテーテル先端の撓みを調整す る請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 40. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が一連の離間 した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、ノブ手段を所望の固定位置に保持 する保持バネ手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第39項に記載の装置。 41. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が溝部に摺動 自在に装着される請求の範囲第39項に記載の装置。 42. 屈曲コントロール手段が、 (a)複数の往復操作しうるコントロールワイヤ(その1本をより可撓性の高い セグメントの正に遠位に固定する)と、 (b)各コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段と、 からなる請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 43. 各コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段が複数の個々に手動操 作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段を有するハンドル手段をさらに備え、ノブ手段 のそれぞれを接続して各コントロールワイヤを往復移動させることによりカテー テル先端の撓みを加えると共に調整する請求の範囲第42項に記載の装置。 44. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が一連の離間 した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、所望の固定位置にノブ手段を保持 する保持バネ手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第42項に記載の装置。 45. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が溝部に摺動 自在に装着される請求の範囲第42項に記載の装置。 46. 屈曲コントロール手段が少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能 なノブ手段を接続したハンドル手段をさらに備え、各往復操作しうる手段を移動 させることによりカテーテル先端の撓みを調整する請求の範囲第29項に記載の 装置。 47. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が一連の離間 した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、所望の固定位置にノブ手段を保持 する保持バネ手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第46項に記載の装置。 48. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が溝部に摺動 自在に装着される請求の範囲第46項に記載の装置。 49. 屈曲コントロール手段が、 (a)複数の往復操作しうるコントロールワイヤと、 (b)各コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段と、 からなる請求の範囲第29項に記載の装置。 50. 各コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段が複数の個々に手動操 作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段を有するハンドル手段をさらに備え、ノブ手段 のそれぞれを接続して各コントロールワイヤを往復移動させることによりカテー テル先端の撓みを加えると共に調整する請求の範囲第49項に記載の装置。 51. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が一連の離間 した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、所望の固定位置にノブ手段を保持 する保持バネ手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第49項に記載の装置。 52. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が溝部に摺動 自在に装着される請求の範囲第49項に記載の装置。 53. (a)遠位端部と近位端部と外壁部とを有すると共に、少なくとも主内 腔部を運行する中空の長形のチューブ状遠位作動カテーテルセクションと、 (b)1個もしくはそれ以上の弱化領域の遠位からカテーテルの遠位セクション へ長手方向の力を加えて、その屈曲を弱化領域の方向に増大させる張力コントロ ール手段と、 (c)前記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置されて往復摺動することにより前記 1個もしくはそれ以上の弱化壁部領域と前記張力コントロール手段との間の連携 を調整して遠位カテーテルセクションが示す形状を調整する撓み形状コントロー ル手段と、 (e)少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段を接続して各張 力コントロール手段を往復調整すると共に調整可能なノブ手段を接続してカテー テルの形状コントロール手段を往復調整することによりカテーテルの撓み位置お よび程度を調整するハンドル手段と、 からなることを特徴とする血管カテーテル用の正確に制御される遠位カテーテ ルセクション。 54. 各ノブ手段が一連の離間した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、 所望の固定位置にノブ手段を保持する手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第53項に 記載の装置。 55. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、より高い可撓性の1個もしく はそれ以上の離間セグメントを有する長形中空部材をさらに備える請求の範囲第 53項に記載の装置。 56. 調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段が、異なる直径のセグメントを有 するワイヤもしくはロッドである請求の範囲第53項に記載の装置。 57. 撓み形状コントロール手段がチューブ部材であって、作動カテーテルの 外側で摺動往復する1個もしくはそれ以上の離間した弱化セグメントを有する請 求の範囲第53項に記載の装置。 58. (a)遠位端部と近位端部と外壁部とを有すると共に、少なくとも主内 腔部および制御しようとする形状を運行する中空の長形なチューブ状遠位作動カ テーテルセクションと、 (b)別々に撓ませようとする各領域の遠位における遠位カテーテルセクション の外壁部に取付けられて、カテーテルの長さ全体にわたり延在する1本もしくは それ以上のコントロールワイヤと、 (d)各コントロールワイヤおよび各撓み形状コントロール部材に取付けられて 、コントロールワイヤに加えられた緊張力が1個もしくはそれ以上の形状コント ロール部材領域により調整される際にコントロールワイヤの取付点の方向へ関連 カテーテル領域の対応する撓みを生ぜしめるよう操作しうると共に、弛緩によっ て撓みを逆転させるハンドル手段と、 (c)前記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置されて往復摺動することにより前記 屈曲コントロール手段と連携し、撓みの程度および位置を調整することにより遠 位カテーテルセクションが示す形状を決定する1個もしくはそれ以上の撓み形状 コントロール手段と、 からなることを特徴とする血管カテーテル用の正確に制御される遠位カテーテ ルセクション。 59. 遠位カテーテルセクションの形状を制御するに際し、往復操作しうる手 段を含む張力コントロール手段を用いてカテーテルの遠位セクションへ調整可能 な長手方向の力をその側壁部から所望の屈曲位置の遠位において加え、さらに前 記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置されると共に前記張力コントロール手段と連 携して往復摺動しうる軸方向に摺動調整可能な撓み形状コントロール手段を用い て遠位カテーテルセクションが示す形状を調整する遠位カテーテルセクションの 形状の制御方法。 60. 遠位カテーテルセクションの形状を制御するに際し、遠位端部から近位 方向に離間した遠位カテーテルセクションの外壁部において1個もしくはそれ以 上の適宜半径方向に種々異なる弱化壁部セグメントを用いると共に往復操作手段 を含む1個もしくはそれ以上の往復する張力コントロール部材を用いて、調整可 能な長手方向の力を弱化壁部セグメントの遠位点からカテーテルの遠位セクショ ンおよび往復摺動しうる前記遠位カテーテルセクションに配置された摺動調整可 能な撓み形状コントロール手段に加えて前記1個もしくはそれ以上の弱化壁部セ グメントおよび前記屈曲コントロール手段と連携させ、遠位カテーテルセクショ ンが示す形状を調整することを特徴とする遠位カテーテルセクションの形状の制 御方法。 61. 可撓性チューブ状血管カテーテルの遠位セクションの屈曲形状を制御す る形状コントロール装置において、 (a)遠位端部と近位端部と遠位作動セクションとを有する可撓性の主チューブ 状カテーテル(その展開形状を制御することが求められ、連続する主内腔部を運 行する)と、 (b)主カテーテルの遠位セクションにおける遠位端部から近位方向に離間した 方向的に好ましい高い可撓性を有する1個もしくはそれ以上の屈曲領域と、 (c)撓みセグメントの1個もしくはそれ以上の屈曲領域の遠位からカテーテル の遠位セクションへ長手方向の力を加えて、各屈曲領域の好適な方向に撓みセグ メントを屈曲させる1個もしくはそれ以上の張力部材を含む屈曲コントロール手 段と、 (d)中空チューブおよび固形ロッドから選択され、カテーテルの主空腔部に配 置されて往復摺動しうるよう構成された内側チューブ状撓み案内部材を備えた可 撓性の撓み形状コントロール部材(この撓み形状コントロール部材には必要に応 じて1個もしくはそれ以上の高い可撓性のセクションを、形状コントロール部材 の可撓性の高いセグメントがカテーテルの屈曲領域と整列する位置においてカテ ーテルを屈曲させる領域として設ける)と、 (e)撓み形状コントロール部材を往復調整するための撓み案内コントロール手 段と、 からなり、さらに、 (f)撓み形状コントロール部材の摺動調整による撓み形状コントロール部材に おける1個もしくはそれ以上の弱化セクションの相対的整列を用いて主カテーテ ルの屈曲を変化させうる、 ことを特徴とする形状コントロール装置。 62. 屈曲コントロール手段が、 (a)外側カテーテルにおける撓みセグメントの直ぐ遠位に固定された1本もし くはそれ以上の往復操作をしうるコントロールワイヤと、 (b)コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段とからなり、さらに、 (c)撓み形状コントロール部材が、撓み形状コントロール部材に取付けられて 撓み形状コントロール部材を往復調整するための指操作コントロール手段からな る請求の範囲第61項に記載の装置。 63. コントロールワイヤの往復運動を制御する手段が手動操作しうる往復調 整可能なノブ手段をコントロールワイヤに接続したハンドル手段を備えて、コン トロールワイヤの往復運動を制御することによりカテーテルの遠位セクションに 加える長手方向の力を調整する請求の範囲第62項に記載の装置。 64. 少なくとも1個の手動操作しうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が一連の離間 した所定の固定位置に沿って作動すると共に、所望の固定位置にノブ手段を保持 する保持バネ手段をさらに備える請求の範囲第62項に記載の装置。 65. 少なくとも1個の手動操作をしうる往復調整可能なノブ手段が溝部に摺 動自在に装着される請求の範囲第62項に記載の装置。
