More specifically, the lithium ion secondary battery 1 generates heat due to an electrochemical change during charging and discharging, and the bottom portion 2a of the outer can 2 expands due to a change in internal pressure due to the generated heat. Or shrink. When the bottom 2a of the outer can 2 expands or contracts in this way, the contact piece 11 of the negative electrode current collector 5 is joined to the bottom 2a by welding, and the contact piece 11 is formed rigidly. However, it was not elastic enough to follow the deformation of the bottom 2a. As a result, since a load is repeatedly applied to the welded portion between the contact piece 11 and the bottom 2a, peeling occurs, and when the welded portion is completely peeled off, the function as a battery cannot be exhibited. Was.

Further, for example, when the above-mentioned lithium ion secondary battery 1 is mounted on a mobile phone or the like and used, if the mobile phone has a vibration source for calling at the time of reception, vibration at the time of calling is reduced. It is transmitted to the secondary battery 1.
Further, when the mobile phone is dropped by mistake, the impact at the time of the drop is transmitted to the secondary battery 1. In such a case, when the above-described vibration or impact force is transmitted to the secondary battery 1, the negative electrode current collector 5 fixed to the bottom 2 a of the outer can 2 becomes rigid with almost no elastic deformation. Fluctuates or deforms. As a result, there is also a problem that a load is applied to many current collecting leads 8a connecting the negative electrode 8 and the negative electrode current collector 5, and the current collecting leads 8a may be cut.

Further, in the conventional negative electrode current collector 5, since copper Cu or copper plated with nickel Ni or the like is used as the material, the bottom of the current collector 5 depends on the number of the current collecting leads 8a and the distribution density thereof. It was necessary to change the welding conditions of the contact piece 11 for 2a. Therefore, the strength of the weld varies due to the difference in welding conditions,
There is also a problem that welding having a predetermined strength cannot be performed stably.

The positive electrode 26 has an electrode base formed of, for example, an Al foil, and a positive electrode mixture formed on both surfaces of the electrode base. As the positive electrode mixture, a compound containing lithium is generally used for the positive electrode, and for example, a lithium transition metal composite oxide (Li x MO 2 ), for example, lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO 2 ) is suitable.
Further, the negative electrode 27 has an electrode base formed of, for example, copper Cu foil, and a negative electrode mixture formed on both surfaces of the electrode base. As the negative electrode mixture, carbon is generally used for the negative electrode. For example, graphite-based carbon, non-graphitizable carbonaceous material (hard carbon), easily graphitizable carbon, and the like are preferable. By using a clad material as the material of the negative electrode current collector 24, the joining strength by welding applied as a joining means for joining with the outer can 21 can be increased. Further, according to the clad material, the hardness of the material can be changed depending on the location, whereby the elasticity of the elastic piece 40 is adjusted to absorb the change in internal pressure and external force by the material of the negative electrode current collector 24 itself. Becomes possible. In other words, when an internal pressure or an external force equal to or greater than a preset value acts on the welded portion, it is possible to intentionally separate the welded joint, thereby reducing the pressure inside the battery. It can be applied as a safety mechanism against abnormalities.

In this case, the outer can 21 and the positive electrode cap 2
When electricity is supplied to the battery for five times, an electrochemical reaction occurs in the battery body 22, and the chemical reaction proceeds by electric energy input from the outside, and the battery body 22 generates heat. Thereby, the pressure in the outer can 21 increases, and the pressure acts on the inner surface of the outer can 21. As a result, the bottom 21a of the outer can 21
The state changes from the normal state shown in FIG. 6 to the state swelling downward as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. This bottom 21a
Since the tip of the elastic body 40 is welded to the center of the elastic body 40, the elastic body 40 is pulled by the bottom 21a and deformed downward. Such deformation of the bottom 21a of the outer can 21 also occurs at the time of discharging because an electrochemical reaction occurs even when electric energy is discharged and the battery body 22 generates heat.

At this time, in the conventional lithium ion secondary battery 1 as shown in FIG.
1 is formed rigidly, so that the bottom 2a of the outer can 2
A large resistance force was generated at the joint with the contact piece 11 due to the pressure acting on the contact piece 11. As a result, there is a problem that a peeling phenomenon occurs at the joint portion, and the contact piece 11 is easily peeled from the bottom 2a.

On the other hand, according to the embodiment of the present invention,
A large cut was formed in the negative electrode current collector 24 to form an elastic piece 40 that facilitated elastic deformation, and the tip of the elastic piece 40 was joined to the bottom 21a of the outer can 21, so that the bottom 21a was deformed. Following this, it was possible to prevent the elastic piece 40 from being elastically deformed and generating a large resistance at the joint between the elastic piece 40 and the bottom 21a. As a result, the secondary battery 2
Even when the bottom 21a swells due to an increase in the pressure inside 0, the elastic piece 40 elastically deforms following the bottom 21a, so that a large stress is generated at the joint between the elastic piece 40 and the bottom 21a. Therefore, it is possible to prevent or suppress peeling of the joint.

The strength of the joint can be changed by changing the length, width, shape, etc. of the cuts forming the elastic pieces 40. Further, for a high-power battery, the internal resistance is a major factor affecting the performance.
Since the internal resistance value of the secondary battery changes depending on the shape of 0, the internal resistance value can be set to a desired value by devising the shape of the elastic piece 40.

As described above, claim 1 of the present application.
According to the power storage device described above, the contact portion formed in the central portion of the current collector is given an appropriate amount of elasticity, and the rigidity of the contact portion is lower than that of the other portions, so that the contact portion can be easily bent and deformed. With this structure, vibration and external force can be absorbed by the contact part, and vibration and external force are hardly applied to the joint part between the bottom of the outer can and the contact part of the current collector, preventing peeling of the joint part Alternatively, the effect of suppressing the occurrence of peeling can be obtained. Therefore, the external force applied to the current collector is buffered by the contact portion, and the external force is difficult to be transmitted to the current collecting lead. Therefore, it is possible to prevent or suppress the occurrence of problems such as cutting of the current collecting lead.
