Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reproducible jig capable of easily providing sap collective grooves manually. SOLUTION: This jig works as follows: a support member 5 stably supported on the three points comprising a 1st roller 6 traveling under engagement on a collective groove 2a already provided by a skilled person on a rubber tree trunk 3, a 2nd roller 7 traveling under engagement on a sap collective groove 2b newly formed on the trunk as the 1st roller 6 travels, and a 3rd roller traveling along the trunk surface, is held by hand, and allowed to travel around the trunk while subjecting both the 1st and 2nd rollers to press contact with the trunk along the already provided groove 2a, thereby the side under the groove 2a is cut with a blade 8 set up between the 1st roller 6 and the 2nd roller 7 so as to adapt to specified cutting requirements, thus providing a renewed face 2b of a sap collective groove.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a means for collecting sap of natural rubber, and more particularly to a bark cutting jig by a manual operation for forming a sap collecting groove in a trunk of a rubber tree under the same conditions.

2. Description of the Related Art A rubber stock solution is collected by cutting a V-shaped collecting groove inclined along the bark surface over a range substantially halfway around a rubber tree trunk, and sap is introduced into a container from the end of the collecting groove. It is the work of collecting and dropping. Since the sap remaining in the collecting groove solidifies over time, it is necessary to remove the solidified portion and expose a new surface at the bottom of the groove to continue collecting. For this renewal, the groove bottom is gradually cut down every few days (usually four days). When one side of the trunk is completed, the same operation is repeatedly performed on the other half of the trunk. During this time, the bark of the previous collection surface regenerates, so that one tree will continue to provide natural sap.

[0003] Therefore, in forming the sap collecting groove, it is necessary to surely leave a portion close to the woody portion necessary for the regeneration of the bark, and to keep the bark at such a depth that the bark cannot be regenerated. For this reason, the formation of the sap collecting groove has conventionally required skill to operate manually by using a special chisel-shaped tool. In addition, the work of forming the sap collecting trench is a severe labor that is performed on a single tree of a large amount of trees distributed over a large area from the early morning, and pests etc. live in the rubber forest and the working environment is not always good. Absent.

[0004] For this reason, a bark knife with a guide is provided in UK Patent No. 977,3 so that the work content can be reduced as much as possible.

However, in each of the above-mentioned inventions, there is only one guide portion which supports the tool by slidingly contacting the tree trunk, and the weight of the tool is almost left to the operator's hand. The holding posture in the middle is unstable and the reproducibility is poor, and it is considered that some skill is required to perform a stable operation. In other words, a manually operated bark knife with a guide (UK Patent No. 977,348) still requires a personal element that depends on experience and intuition in setting the cutting depth and the cutting width of the sap collecting groove. I don't think the amount will be much improved. In addition, portable electric tools (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 60-7 / 1985)
No. 8523) requires a power supply and the weight of the apparatus is large, so that the burden on the arm is not small as a hand-held tool.

FIG. 5 is an explanatory view relating to a second embodiment of a sap collecting groove forming jig according to the present invention, wherein members common to the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals. In the jig 114 of the second embodiment,
The blade 28 is installed behind the second roller 17 with respect to the traveling direction (arrow A in the figure). The lower conical surfaces 16b, 17b of the first and second rollers both roll in the existing groove 2a, and the position of the lateral cutting blade 28a is changed to the conical surfaces 16a, 17 in contact with the existing groove 2a.
The vertical cutting blade 28c is set at a position lower than the common rolling surface a by a cutting depth equivalent distance d, and the vertical cutting blade 28c follows the upper conical surfaces 16a and 17a of the first and second rollers, and the outer periphery of the woody portion 1a. Therefore, the rolling surfaces 16a, 17a of the first and second rollers 16, 17 are rolled along the existing groove 2a from the upper end to the lower end of the groove in close contact with the surface of the existing groove 2a. When the jig 114 is run while pressing the support member 115 by hand, a newly cut sap collecting surface 2b can be formed below the existing groove 2a without any skill or skill. . In the second embodiment, except that the position of the blade 28 with respect to the first and second rollers is different, the supporting member 115
The arrangement of the third roller and the like can be configured almost in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and thus the description is omitted.

As described above, according to the sap collecting groove forming jig according to the present invention, the cutting sap whose cutting amount is set is pressed against the trunk using the sap collecting groove formed first as a guide. It only needs to be moved, and the weight of the jig body is stably held by the rollers provided at three places.
The burden on hands is reduced. After the initial formation of the sap collecting groove by the expert, the sap collecting groove can be formed without the involvement of the expert. In addition, the reproducibility is good, the groove can be formed stably without any individual difference, and the unexpected effect of inadvertently giving a non-reproducible cut to the wooden part is very economical.
