Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate storage method for providing the high storage efficiency by storing a plurality of glass plates to be used as a base material of a flat display panel through interleaving papers interposed among the glass plates, reducing the degree of pollution by interposing the interleaving papers on the glass plate faces and also reducing the generation of marks. SOLUTION: A steel holding stand 14 mounted on a pallet 13 is provided with a placing face 14a for mounting glass plates G in the vertical direction and a backrest face 14b extended from the rear end of the mount face 14a toward the vertical direction, and the mount face 14a is formed into the section L-shaped inclining toward the backrest face 14b downward by 6 deg.. Two hundred glass plates G are stored in a manner of being rested against holding stand 14, and interleaving papers 15 are interposed in the clearances of respective glass plates G.

[0004] The storage method shown in FIG. 3 prevents the occurrence of abrasion caused by direct contact between the glass plates G.
The glass plate G and the interleaving paper 10 are alternately laminated, and the laminate is wrapped with a packaging material 11 such as a paper or resin bag or film, thereby preventing dust and dirt from entering from outside. is there.

However, in the storage method shown in FIG. 3, since a load caused by laminating a large number of glass plates G is applied to the glass plates (especially the lower glass plate) G, the glass plates G are stacked. Contamination due to the contact of the slip sheet 10 with the surface of the plate G is likely to occur due to the pressure. Further, when foreign matter adheres to the slip sheet 10, there is a disadvantage that the glass plate G is easily damaged by the large load.

According to the storage method shown in FIG. 4, the frame-shaped separating member 12 comes into contact only with the frame of the glass plate G, so that the portion is liable to be contact-contaminated. The range in which the cleanliness is required to be maintained on the surface G is usually only the inner surface (effective surface) that does not include the frame portion of the surface, so there is no practical problem.

However, in the method as shown in FIG. 4, as the vertical and horizontal size and thickness of the glass plate G increase, the deflection due to its own weight increases.
Must be increased to prevent contact between the glass plates G. However, the glass plate G used as the substrate material of the liquid crystal display panel is required to significantly reduce the production cost, and one of the measures is to reduce the transportation cost. Increasing the thickness undesirably causes a significant decrease in storage efficiency.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has a high storage efficiency because a plurality of glass plates used as a substrate material of a flat display panel are stored with interleaving paper interposed therebetween. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for storing a glass plate in which the degree of contamination due to the interposition of a slip sheet on the plate surface is small and the generation of scratches is small.

According to the present invention, there is provided a method for storing a glass plate, comprising: a mounting surface for mounting a glass plate used as a substrate material of a flat display panel in a vertical direction; and a rear end of the mounting surface. A plurality of glass plates are provided on a holding base having an L-shaped cross-section, which is provided with a backrest surface extending vertically from the portion, and the mounting surface is inclined downward by 2 to 20 degrees toward the backrest surface. After placing the backing plate in parallel with the backrest surface while interposing the interleaving paper in the gap, and placing the backing plate with the interleaving paper interposed on the outer surface of the frontmost glass plate, The belt-like body is fixed over the back of the backrest surface.

A glass plate storage tool used as a substrate material for a flat display panel can maintain the surface of the glass plate (especially the effective surface) with a high degree of cleanliness, has excellent storage efficiency, and vibrates during transportation. It is required that the glass plate is not scratched or damaged even if it is produced, but the present invention satisfies all of these requirements.

That is, according to the present invention, since the mounting surface of the holding table is inclined downward by 2 to 20 degrees toward the back surface, when the glass plate is leaned against the back surface of the holding table,
Each glass plate is stored in a state of being inclined by 80 to 98 degrees. However, with such a tilt angle, almost no load is applied to the glass plate, so that contamination caused by contact of the slip sheet with the glass plate surface is prevented. The degree is small. Even if foreign matter adheres to the slip sheet, the load is small, so that the glass plate is hardly damaged.

Further, in the present invention, since the interleaving paper having a small thickness is used as the separating member of the glass plate, high storage efficiency can be obtained. The size (length and width) of the slip sheet may be the same as or slightly larger than the glass plate.

As the material of the holding table, metal or hard resin is suitable, and the mounting surface and the backrest surface may be integrated or may be separated. In addition, the reason why the inclination angle of the mounting surface is set to 2 to 20 degrees is that when the inclination angle is less than 2 degrees, the glass plate easily falls down when the glass plate is taken in and out, and the workability is reduced.
Further, when the inclination angle is larger than 20 degrees, the load applied to the glass plate increases, and the degree of contamination due to the contact of the slip sheet with the glass plate surface increases. A more preferable range of the inclination angle is 3 to 15 degrees.

Further, in the present invention, a backing plate is disposed on the outer surface of the glass plate positioned at the forefront with an interleaving paper interposed therebetween, and a band is hung from the backing plate to the back of the backrest surface of the holding table. Since the glass sheet is passed and fixed, the impact resistance from the surface direction of the glass sheet is improved, cracks and scratches of the glass sheet can be prevented, and displacement of each glass sheet during transportation can be prevented. At this time, it is preferable that another backing plate is interposed between the backrest surface of the holding table and the interleaf paper adjacent thereto, since the impact resistance is further improved. In addition, a hard resin is suitable as a material of the backing plate.

Further, in the present invention, it is preferable to cover all the glass plates with the packaging material, since it is possible to prevent the contamination of the glass plates due to the intrusion of dust and dirt from the outside. The packaging material may be in the form of a sheet or a bag. After covering them on the glass plate from above, the open end thereof may be fixed and sealed with a band-shaped body at the side periphery of the holding table. Incidentally, a polyethylene resin is suitable as a material of the packaging material.
