Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently waterproof battery terminals by avoiding the occurrence of short circuits between the battery terminals or the imperfect contact of the terminals caused by electric erosion, by constructing each set of probe and battery terminal in an independent waterproofing structure by press-contacting ribs with a battery housing section. SOLUTION: A packing 109 has ribs 109a, 109b, and 109c. The ribs 109a have oval shapes so that the ribs 109a may be press-contacted with a battery housing section 106 including battery terminals 110. The ribs 109b and 109c are respectively press-contacted with sleeves 107b and the holes of a chassis 101. When the packing 109 is constructed in such a way, the imperfect contact of the battery terminal 110 caused by electric erosion can be avoided, because the ribs 109a-109c can prevent the infiltration of water. Since each battery terminal section is constructed in an independent waterproofing structure by press-contacting the ribs 109a with the battery pack 106 including the battery terminals 110 and probes 107 corresponding to the ribs 109a, the occurrence of short circuits caused by water can be avoided even when the ribs 109a are cracked.
