Il presente trovato si riferisce ai contenitori per il trasporto di pizze calde e analoghi prodotti alimentari riscaldati, del tipo comprendente una scatola formata da una lastra di cartone o simile materiale con linee di piegatura definenti una base ed una prima ed una seconda coppia di pareti laterali opposte. Questo tipo di scatola, apprezzabilmente semplice ed economica in particolare per la possibilità di evitare la presenza e quindi il costo relativo della lastra di coperchio allorché la scatola viene utilizzata in condizione impilata con altre, non consente di conseguire i vantaggi di quelle secondo i citati documenti EP-A-1298073 e PCT/IB2009/051889 derivanti dallo sfiato verso l’alto del vapore prodotto dalla pizza o simile contenuta nella scatola. Infatti, in conformità al documento WO-2008/055554, il coperchio (sia esso costituito dalla lastra di cartone oppure formato dalla base della scatola sovrapposta) si dispone in appoggio sulle alette ripiegate alle sommità delle pareti laterali della prima coppia, impedendo la fuoriuscita verso l’alto del vapore. Inoltre le pareti laterali delle scatole inferiori tendono a collassare, compromettendo l’integrità della relativa struttura. Riferendosi ai disegni, la scatola secondo il trovato è di tipo generalmente simile a quella descritta nel citato documento WO-2008/055554 con particolare riferimento alla sua figura 5: essa include una base 1 ed un coperchio separato dalla base 1 e costituito da una semplice lastra piana 2 di cartone o simile materiale, come nel caso dell’esempio illustrato, oppure dalla parete di fondo di un’analoga scatola sovrapposta in condizione impilata sulla base 1. Inoltre le ali 11, grazie alle quali si determinano le luci superiori di sfiato 12, agiscono anche a guisa di sostegni smorzatori atti ad impedire, nel caso di impilamento di più scatole sovrapposte, sia lo schiacciamento delle pizze contenute nelle scatole sottostanti, sia una tendenza delle pareti della scatola a deformarsi ovvero a spanciare verso l’esterno. Claims

CLAIMS 1. Box for transporting hot pizzas and the like, comprising a sheet of cardboard or similar material with fold lines defining a base (1), a first pair of opposite side walls (4) and a second pair of opposite side walls ( 5) having a height greater than that of the opposite side walls of the first pair (4) so as to define protrusions (9) for containing a lid separate from the base (1), selectively consisting of a cardboard plate (2) or similar or from the base (20) of a similar superimposed box in a stacked condition, characterized in that the side walls of the second pair (5) have respective wings (11) folded towards the inside of the base (1) and located at a level higher than the top of the side walls of the first pair (4) to allow the support of an overlying box in a stacked condition, so that between the base (20) of the overlying box and the tops of the side walls of the the first pair (4) are defined as the upper vent ports (12) of the steam produced by the pizza or similar contained in use within the box.

2. Box according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that said plate (2) selectively defining the lid has openings (13) for the upward venting of the steam produced by the pizza or the like.

3. Box according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that it has spacer feet protruding below the base (1) for resting on the lid (2) of an underlying box that is provided with them.
