Il presente trovato ha per oggetto un chiodo endomidollare per la riduzione di fratture ossee o per l’artrodesi della caviglia, del tarso e del metatarso. Le ossa del tarso insieme a quelle del metatarso e delle falangi, formano lo scheletro del piede. Il tarso à ̈ un complesso osseo costituito da sette ossa brevi, distinte in due file: la fila prossimale à ̈ formata dal talo o astragalo e dal calcagno, quella distale dal navicolare, dai tre cuneiformi e dal cuboide.
